A New Nobu Opens at Hotel del Coronado With Ocean Views - AFAR

"An exclusive members-and-guest-only lounge housed in a restored historic cottage, it provides club-level services and culinary experiences throughout the day. Guests can enjoy mimosas with a breakfast buffet while taking in ocean views or watch the sunset from prime vantage points; the menu features classics such as steak frites and a Maine lobster roll with avocado and dill-lemon aioli." - AFAR

Lovely and relaxing.. until Friday (we stayed for a week). Then very very busy, noisy, people swarming the pool, no regard for social distances, a man with a keyboard and speakers had been hired by the condo complex and was on the pier right outside our balcony at dinnertime and played and sang until around 10 pm Saturday night, we could even hear him from our bedroom. People were everywhere with alcoholic drinks, dogs barking, children with many of them, covering the little pier and the area around it, parked chairs just below our balcony and any hope of watching a peaceful sunset was ruined. Someone with very loud small dogs moved in next to us and we had to endure the round the clock barking. Some evenings, two men put chairs in the middle of the narrow pier and were fishing. No one would be able to walk around them with the chairs and all their gear. We won't be back. Ironically during the week we were discussing purchasing one of the condos but as of the weekend swiftly changed our mind. There is a small natural jetty of sand just below our balcony and in Saturday evening, children covered it and stomped all over the poor fiddler crabs. A man had a floating trap attached to the pier and dead animals were in it daily and he dumped them into the water. As a nature lover, and people who like peace and quiet, we were horrified.

Beautiful little condo, quiet with a private beach. The pool was open and the weather was beautiful. We all had a wonderful time & no problems, no hassle, no noisy/nosey neighbors... I don't know what it is like for peak season or non-COVID years but there was plenty of space on the beach every day. The only down side would be the longish walk and 3 flights of steps to get down or back up from the beach. Loved my soaking tub.

Retirement area nothing for kids or teens or young adults except things near the end of the island Parking is limited and handycap access is a joke they the re aranged the under condo parking years back and reduced 2 rows under each building the beach access is not ramped they keep extending the dunes outward and the acces at the bottom of the stairs is not maintained at all major trip hazards from over growth of foliage theres a bench at the bottom of said stairs for a life preserver station thats been burrid for years the karens who wanted to live above the pool area had the h.o.a. restrict pool use to 10 30. So adylts could no longer have a no kid swim the sound side where the sewage treatment is always is infested with mosquitoes and if the sewer system isnt used enough it starts to smell they original promise of a party area kids playground and tennis courts which was part of the original sales pich was done away with due to a karen style tantrum They pissed off the maintenance guy who had been there for thd longest and would come any time u needed him he was replaced they giant restaurant was part of the sale point and it doesnt anymore so if theres a venue there the already limited parking gets way worse outside lighting at night is a joke But the view is good its a safe place even though an un needed gaurd patrols at night U could walk to get groceries/meal/etc. There is a kiddy pool at ocean side and an assortment of seating at said pool beach seating rental companies so u dont have to haul chairs down the beach

I stayed here with my daughter who made the reservation. She informed me the day we left she had gotten a message from the management company that morning that the elevator was out of service. We had no choice but to make the best of it. I had reconstructive knee surgery recently, and she has a 11 month old baby, so it was indeed tough to climb FORTY stairs to our unit each time. Imagine our shock to be told by a cleaning service the next morning THE ELEVATOR HAD BEEN OUT OF SERVICE FOR OVER A MONTH. This is just not right. If the management company knew this more than even a day earlier, they certainly should have let us know. This was a hardship on us that might have been prevented. They should be very ashamed. I will personally never ever rent from them and suggest you do not as well.

Amazing views and sunsets. Feels very natural and tranquil. We swam in the heated year round outdoor pool at night in February. Large but quiet Oasis and nestled amongst lots of original maritime trees and plants. Pier on the sound side is cool as well. Elevator was a plus as well! Seems like they recently fixed the parking issues.

Condos have plenty of space. If neighbors are overhead it can be a bit noisy but usually nothing significant. Easy access to beach. Shuttle service will pick you up from sound side.pools are a bonus if you just want to swim. Been going there for about 10 years and always have a great time.

Had a good time staying in the off season (early November) Heated outdoor pool was a hit with the kids. Easy beach access and quiet, we'll appointed units. Would come back for sure.

The condo owner told us bringing an extra car would be no problem! This is a big problem as the security people will not issue an additional parking pass even though there were 3 small cars that could easily park under the unit with no problems. Plus they give you no advice as to where to park the additional vehicle. The security person said we could park at a convenience store but didn’t say which one. We arrived from different locations for a “girls trip” so had to bring three vehicles. Security and management are rude. We do not recommend this place and will not return. Sad because we were thinking of scheduling a family reunion at this location but vehicle access is impossible. Would have been nice if condo owner had been honest. Do not rent here!
