Stayed 2/16-19/24. Number of things were just odd. From the decor to how it was ‘renovated’. 1. Did not like the location of the CHINOISERIE room: Front left, where everyone enters the inn and walks right past your room. The room is right off the front porch and the outside seating area so you can clearly hear people talking outside, 2-3 feet from your bed, through single pane windows. Additionally, the room windows have shear see-through curtains (under drapes) that must be closed if you want privacy or you can see in the room, especially at night!!! Second issue is the drapes naturally have gapes so we had to move chairs and use pillows to keep the curtain gapes closed. 2. This was super odd: our breakfast was brought to us the PRIOR afternoon for the next morning. DON’T waste your $9/pp/day for breakfast: store bought or box made(?) muffin, Yoplait yogurt, juice and sorry looking fruit. You get your own Keurig coffee yourself in the main area. Super underwhelming! 3. The electric fire place advertised was (no kidding) a light bulb behind a plastic cutout colored flame template. VERY misleading on their part. 4. Safety issue: the wood bedroom floor is TWO INCHES lower than the tile floor in the bathroom. THIS IS A TOE BREAKER or fall if you miss it. We ended up rolling up a towel and putting it on the floor to cover the threshold. This is a safety issue (from other reviews) that they are already aware of. Hot water is scalding hot, less than a 1 second burn time that made me yell out in the shower. We were irked that they charged for parking in an ample lot they own; just another way to ‘gig’ you. Over all it was generally clean. The decor is older and mismatched, neither really antique or period pieces. Kinda like your great grams house back in the day. Other than at our arrival and the afternoon breakfast delivery. We saw no staff ever during our three days there and we were in and out during the day. We did like the close proximity to the river walk. PLEASE NOTE: the first 10 mins of this walk does not have businesses so it’s kinda eerie coming back at night with no one else around. We thought the bed was comfortable. Would we return or recommend it? NO. Even with the above mentioned, we enjoyed our time in SA very much.

Both properties are beautiful. We stayed at the property next to the owners home and it was so cute. Very clean. Comfortable beds. Gas Fireplaces which we needed and within walking distance from a lot of great bars and restaurants. My kids had their own room. Great sitting area for more space. Full kitchen and fridge so we were able to make our own breakfast and easily store snacks. Each dish and cup was spotless from dirt or dust. Bathrooms squeaky clean. This property is very well taken care of. We will be back!

Quaint & quiet location. We liked how it was walking distance from the Riverwalk. We stayed in the Carriage House. When we first opened the door we saw a Pepsi can on the kitchen island. We wondered how clean the room really was. We saw a few cobwebs & dust on the lights & furniture. The website stated that each room is provided bath robes & ours did not have any. The area where the carpet meets the marble tile from the bedroom to the bathroom was uneven & we kept tripping over the tiling. We called the manager Don & told him about the trip hazard & he did not seem too concerned. The stay was fine, but wish we set the bar a bit lower when we arrived before getting disappointed. Definitely won’t be booking another stay with Noble Inns in the future.

This was one of the worst hotel / B&B experiences I have ever had. I rarely leave reviews but I felt an obligation to anybody considering a stay here. I'll start with the positives: the house was very nice, with a beautiful location right on the riverwalk. Unfortunately, every interaction we had with the owner was unpleasant and unprofessional. He talked over me, interrupting me numerous times, and when my son stood up for me he said “you are being very rude.” He reprimanded us and treated us like children instead of guests when we made reasonable requests, threatening to keep property we left in the room after we raised these concerns with him. I can not in good conscience recommend staying here or at any other property owned by Noble Inns.

My wife and I have stayed here twice, June 2013 in the Newton Mitchell room and again in June 2014. The sherry wine in the lobby was a nice treat. Loved walking over to The Friendly Spot, good food and drinks. Walking down the riverwalk was hassle free. If you're travelling to SA from Dallas it's nice to take back roads and visit Fredericksburg! Oh if you're looking for a nearby H-E-B don't trust Google Maps - we thought there was one right by the Oge House but it was their corporate office, hah! So why 3 stars.. Before we arrived for the second visit (but after booking) we received a Living Social two night stay deal via email for $249. I emailed the contact address two days before arriving asking if we could switch to the deal but received no reply. Once we arrived I asked the lady at the desk to check if we could use the deal. She called the owners and reported that no, we had to go through with our original $488.02 price. Well that put me off from ever coming here again, what a way to burn a bridge. Would consider staying here again if/when ownership changes. Not management, ownership.

We had breakfast here as part of our stay in one of their other inns. This inn was so incredibly detailed and beautiful. It truly looked like a grand southern home. The breakfast was served in a drawing room to the side of the house. Nice tea cups, juice, coffee, tea, and fruit parfaits were available for us to serve ourselves. We had a delicious breakfast of quiche, sausage and tomatoes, and a small arugula salad. It was excellent food, but I wish we had gotten more for the $15 we paid. Overall, I’d have that breakfast again!

The Oge House is quite Beautiful. Quite neighborhood with the Riverwalk right at your doorstep. No hustle and bushel of being on the Riverwalk but still close enough if you want to go!! We stayed across the street in the Pancoast Carriage House, full kitchen and living area with a fireplace and seperate bedroom. It also had a beautiful pool with a great hot tub!! Our Suite had a huge jacuzzi tub too!! We didn't need to go anywhere!! We also felt perfectly at home. Due to Covid drama there are some things closed but we didn't care we had all we needed right there for a relaxing delayed Anniversary get away!! Don the Owner was extremely accommodating. Yes, we had to delay our trip in April due to the "no travel" issued by our Governor Abbott. Yes, we lost a little but all in all we were so happy we had such a Wonderful time there. We will be going back. You always need to enjoy your family time and not spend time criticizing. If you want "perfect" stay home!! We enjoyed our stay it was a beautiful place!!

Google
Reasonably quiet location just south of downtown along the Riverwalk and in the King William district. Two person jacuzzi was barely large enough for two people, and jets could not be fine tuned. Guests I spoke with in other rooms had the same issue with the jets spraying all over. This wouldn't be as big an issue if the tile floor in the bathroom had any texture to it. Shower room had much more adjustments available, but tile floor in there was also almost dangerously slick. Stairs leading to the first floor rooms from the parking area were cracked in many places and have no railing. We arrived during some light rain and this almost ended our trip after one spill. Bedroom and sitting room each have a window unit to control the temp, but it was still difficult to achieve a uniform and comfortable temperature. Both days breakfasts were good if a bit high calorie.

Yelp
EVERYTHING !!!! When we arrived, we noticed rooms underneath the grand steps of the mansion and I made the comment that I HOPE our accommodations AREN'T under the steps ! They were and it was the best !!! Thank you very much, Oge house . I'm fixing to make another reservation right now for upcoming anniversary

Yelp
Seeing all these horrendous reviews makes me wonder if we just got luckier than some other people - though we did have a few unresolved issues. Our room was fine, clean and other than the fact the TV didn't work (wasn't there to watch it anyway) but mentioned it and it was working later in the day. The jacuzzi tub did not work at all, but again not the end of the world (unless we really wanted to have a tub, which we did not). Location is awesome, the historic King William neighborhood is really beautiful and along the River walk and easy to walk to other places of interest in San Antonio. My only criticisms would be that even though there was practically no other guests while we were there, the owner Don would not allow us a late check out. Seems he's a stickler for 'the rules' and while I checked out before my cousin, neither he nor his wife Lisel were on property to store my cousin's luggage as they promised they would. Nor did either answer their phone when she called them and only got voicemail. To further exacerbate the situation after check out they immediately changed the keypad code so that my cousin couldn't get back in to pick up her luggage (which she left in the foyer). So for her, it was super annoying. For me, not so much. But anyone wanting to stay can take the review into account. It's a pricey stay and seems it can be a hit or miss experience.

Yelp
This old home is in a great location and walking distance to many things including the River Walk, and The Tower of the Americas. Sit on the back porch to watch people walk by on the River Walk. The neighborhood is rich with history and old homes. Much like other reviews, though this house is cool, it could be cleaner. Cob webs, dust, dirt, moldy shower curtain. Great comfortable bed with good sheets and towels. Good water pressure. Love sitting out on the spacious deck. With attention to detail, and elbow grease to clean, this gem would certainly sparkle more.

Yelp
Sharing the content of a May 30 email sent to the proprietor of Noble Inns: This note describes my dissatisfaction with our recent three-night stay (May 27 to May 30) at the Oge House. To clarify for those with whom I'll share this email: we booked our lodging through Airbnb. We arrived at 2:53 pm on Thursday, May 27, seven minutes before the House's check-in time. In two brief conversations through your camera-equipped doorbell (you couldn't tell that all of us were over 60?), you made it clear that we wouldn't be admitted early. We waited on the front porch in upper-eighty-degree Texas heat as your landscaper filled our noses and ears with noise and exhaust from his leaf blower. Only at 3:00 pm were we admitted to the building's reception area. At check-in, you said I would be charged $15/day for on-site parking. "Free parking on premises" is featured under "Amenities" on the first page of your Airbnb listing and again in the "Parking and facilities" section. In a Saturday, May 29 voice mail, I asked if we might have our trash emptied, be resupplied with fresh hand towels and washcloths, and have the toilet seat repaired. In a subsequent phone call, you replied that we would be charged $20 for housekeeping. You also said that we had broken the toilet seat by throwing away a key component. What I found particularly objectionable was your statement that we had broken the toilet seat. The critical part--a white plastic cap--that you stated we'd "thrown away" was found on the floor behind the toilet. I placed this component on the desk in the reception area. In an email follow-up to our Saturday conversation, you wrote, "I did not charge you anything for the new toilet seat. The charge was for the housekeeping that you requested. Our Airbnb rates do not include any housekeeping, and it is provided on request and for an additional fee." There's nothing in your Airbnb listing that mentions a charge of any amount for towels and trash. Gosh, I'm glad that we came with extra rolls of toilet paper. At no time did we have adequate wi-fi service in our garden-level rooms, although we had acceptable service in the common area at the top of the stairs. I now know what it's like to spend $400/night to be a second-class guest.

Yelp
Was an amazing and beautiful place, but as a manager of our own Bed and Breakfast, I saw a lot of things out of place. One being the cleanliness, I hate to leave negative reviews, but their definitely needs to be more attention yo cleanliness here.

Holly M.

Yelp
Shabby but not shabby chic. It was a time capsule but not in a good sense of the word. I felt like we were in a room which hadn't been updated since the 90s and the condition of the amenities reflected that. Filters aren't just for people as the photos on their site are a bit deceiving. Our room wasn't as fresh looking in person compared to their website. I could be a little more forgiving for the lack of updates if the room was clean. Any horizontal surface above or below eye level had a thick layer of dust. Carpets were filthy to the point now of replacement not cleaning is needed. Permanent stain on the bathroom tile. We reserved a room with a jacuzzi tub but only two of the jets worked. No other feature on the tub worked. Plumbing features on the sink are not installed properly which is not charming. When we reserved the room we were enticed by the "private porch" but the reality was a very dirty, community porch. The small investment of a pressure washer could easily fix the porch issues. Three remotes to use the TV was confusing. Broken antiques. Chipped paint. Just because it's old doesn't automatically mean charming. Things need to be maintained properly. Staff was friendly but completely impersonal. The owner checked us in but had a Bluetooth concealed in her ear so we couldn't tell when she was talking to us or to someone on the phone. Very annoying. Breakfast was just okay. Bed was okay. Pillows were not comfortable and the bed had two divots where people have lain all these years. Disappointed to pay $300 hard earned dollars a night for this. Honestly, if you're looking for a Bed & Breakfast go somewhere else.

Roger D.

Yelp
We stayed at this "Bed & Breakfast" for three nights. While the facility is nice the service was non-existent. First of all, we never saw or met the host. Secondly, breakfast had to be requested 24 hours in advance and it would be placed in your in-room refrigerator for you the day before. Finally, they have a coffee maker but you are requested to only use one cup during your stay. So unfriendly. One positive item, there is a sign that tells you the host lives across the street if you needed anything.

Burton H.

Yelp
Nice old style house. Clean room, comfy bed, decent pillows. We stayed on a Saturday night. Very quiet. You can hear cars driving by and normal outside noises as you would from your own home. Only about a 100 yard walk to the river walk and then from there about a 1 mile walk to the busier area of the river walk with the restaurants n shops. Only suggestion i would make was a chair/bench in the gazebo in the back yard.

Yelp
Spend your money elsewhere! Beware, we have stayed in many B&B's throughout the US and Abroad, and this is the lowliest of them all thus far!! I honestly feel a bit scammed - there are limited photos of the rooms for a reason. They want to secure your non-refundable payment before you actually see what you're getting, because once you're here, you're stuck! We stayed in the Carriage House 1 'suite' that includes the kitchen and dining area. We were attracted to this B&B because of their beautiful online photos and kid friendly rooms. We were honestly speechless with disappointment when we opened the door to our room. I have listed my pros and cons, then a synopsis of improvements needed for them to dare charge anyone for the fees they currently do. Seriously, I'm warning you that you'll likely be disappointed in the value if you book here. We chose this room because it is 'kid friendly' and because they have a jacuzzi tub. Pros Beautiful land Friendly staff Good breakfast Beautiful, small, stained glass window in our bedroom - Carriage House 1. Plenty of windows, but garden level so we didn't have shades open as other guests walk by them to get to their room. Close to pool Cons Scratchy sheets. Aged mirrors that were not clear. Old, Stained window dressings. Stained shower dressings. Many exposed cords. Mold. Tv was not mounted, yet this is the kid-friendly rooming option. Old electronics. Very dated decor. Worn decorative pillows on couch. No outlets near bed for phones. Dated kitchen. Old, rusting fixtures. Dated furniture throughout. No upgrades. Wood shingles outlining the interior walls as decor. Shingles!! It seems as though the only thing that has been changed in our room, since 1998, are the sheets. Serious room upgrades needed. Bathroom tile is discolored. Bedroom carpet is worn. Based on current decor trends (reviewed 2017) 'Suite' decorations would be considered ugly, outdated, thrifty. There is a difference between antique, vintage, and thrift. Decor would be considered thrift in our room because it is not preserved, nor is most of it in good condition. Furniture is worn, broken, rusting, discolored, and scratched. Staff was friendly at check in, but our room is in a different house across the street. We weren't shown to our room, which should be customary, we were pointed in the direction and sent on our way to find it. Red flag #1. Room needs complete overhaul. I can't believe they get away with this. 1 star value room. Came out to almost $300 per night (with fees, taxes, etc.), a complete joke. Spend the extra $60 and stay at Hotel Emma down the way and see vintage done right! I tried to not let it affect me, but this B&B put a damper on my San Antonio experience. There is an answering machine and a phone book in the room! A free, local, San Antonio food magazine on the central table that is from 2014! Just a few more details to let you know what we're dealing with here. All our clothes smelled old when we got home, like a Thrift store, after sitting in the room. Good design is timeless. I understand wanting to keep the history of the property alive, but this is definitely NOT the way to do that! Upon checkout, we got to peek into a room in the main house. WOW! This room is on a completely different caliber and looks like a traditional B&B, I didn't expect that level of drop off from the main house and the carriage house! DO NOT STAY IN THE CARRIAGE HOUSE!

Stephanie W.

Yelp
Me and my husband came here for a romantic weekend getaway. We stayed in the Pancoast Carriage House suite 1. There was nothing impressive. The 2 person jacuzzi tub fit 2 people but the jets were so low that I couldn't get it to help my back pain. The tub was nice though. None of the breakfast we ate was very good. I would say about average. But it's weird stuff that the chef decides to come up with and some people might like it but some people might think it's disgusting so they should have an alternative, more simple meal for the people that wouldn't eat the meal the chef made. I noticed in our room and when we went to the Oge House for breakfasts, nothing was clean. The window by our table at breakfast had dust around it. Even in our room, it's like they come in and change the sheets and vacuum and clean up the mess when someone leaves but they defiantly don't do a good cleaning job because it looked like that room hadn't been dusted in a year. And the mirrors in the living room (there were 2 I think- maybe 3) I couldn't even use them to do my makeup or anything if my husband was using the bathroom mirror because they don't clean the mirrors with windex or anything. You defiantly can't see clearly enough in those mirrors to do hair or makeup. There's no point in them even being there. The couch and chairs in the living room were not very comfortable but the bed in that room was awesome. The pillows were amazing and the comforter was too. I think it might have been a down comforter but I'm not sure. Sheets were decent and the mattress was great. That's why I gave 2 stars. That and if you go to the Oge House you can get an okay view of the river. And it's nice that it's just a 15 min walk to the part of the river walk where everything is.

Reba T.

Yelp
My husband and I travel regularly but recently had our first experience with a B and B as we celebrated our anniversary in San Antonio. Our stay at the Noble Inn - Oge House was spectacular. The grounds were lovely and so peaceful even though we were right off a busy street, the Riverwalk and blocks from the Alamo. The suite was beautifully decorated, immaculate and had a luxury Jacuzzi tub and large marble shower. We were minutes from everywhere and oh so close to fabulous eating establishments. We enjoyed our stay immensely. Our service was exceptional. The Noble family were so gracious and we felt as we were long time friends. We would certainly stay again and recommend to family and friends.

Kim J.

Yelp
Excellent BnB - great location for exploring downtown San Antonio on foot We stayed in the Steves room of the Oge House for a few nights and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Even though the Steves room is on the main floor of the house, we never were disrupted by commotion in the hallway, definitely a plus! The accommodations themselves were very historic and well done, without being chintzy. Some perks of the BnB are the Southtown location - walking distance to many different bars and restaurants, as well as proximity to the Tower of the Americas and the Riverwalk, free off street parking, GREAT AC - even during the middle of summer we never felt even slightly overheated, and a great breakfast service. If you opt to include breakfast its a easy way to start your day in San Antonio.

Jay K.

Yelp
My wife and I stayed at the Oge House for our 1 year anniversary. We've stay at 1 other breath-taking bed and breakfast in healdsburg, ca called honor mansion - a must do, and found Oge as a recommended place in San Antonio. Living in Houston, it was an easy decision to try it out for our celebration. But overall found it 2/5. Service: My wife had some communication issues with the receptionist with booking our (in room) massages for the weekend and found it a little frustrating to resolve. She told the receptionist that we were open for massages on Friday and Saturday evening. The receptionist booked us for Friday at 5pm (which was the approximate time we would just barely arrive)! She never confirmed with my wife, just gave her a firm time. When my wife tried to change the time she told us it was $20 change fee and when my wife asked why she said it was for her time to coordinate. Mind you that we paid extra for a larger room just to get in-room couple massages. She was very rude and unprofessional. We ended up just paying the $20 but it was the principle that she assumed a time rather then confirming. When we arrived the receptionist gave us a half ass tour of the grounds. We had to ask more questions then her just giving us any deep history. The hotel is very dated but has some nice architecture. It need a bit of renovation for the paints and re-lining of furniture and bed spreads (they are very faded and antique looking). IMHO There was also nothing special they did for us - card, wine, chocolates, roses for our anniversary. General interaction with the receptionist was average at best. She was decent at explaining directions but wasn't too update with current activities except in the area. Breakfast: There is no mention/ list of what the breakfast is and how it works. It was a little confusing. We showed up at 9:15 and sat down and someone just brought us a breakfast appetizer. Signs would been nice to tell you to serve your own drinks and what was for breakfast. Architecture: The hotel has a mixed southern yet classical / Victorian feel. We stayed in the spacious Riverview room which faces the riverwalk. The grounds are kept up but no breath-taking gardens or places to hang out except for the spacious porches. I would recommend that they offer picnics on the lawn. Location: Its a good 10-15 minute walk to the bustling section of the riverwalk but is very quiet. Great for elders or those wanting a little quiet time. It's close to the riverwalk floodgates which is kinda cool to understand how the riverwalk operates. Price: This place was pretty pricey for 2 nights and a massage coming to almost $950 (tax included). I definitely think it will always be a memorable experience but would honestly say, go try another B&B. Opportunities: Landscape yard - colorful plants! Repaint exterior Re-line all furniture Offer picnics on lawn Provide breakfast menus and signs Get a happier receptionist Afternoon reception with warm food when ordered or light cheese and fruit and wine Personalize rooms for couples celebrating

Yelp
The first thing to note is the location of Oge House: as good as it gets for seeing the historic sites in San Antonio. The house is in the King William district, on the quiet end of the River Walk and downtown is 15-20 minutes away by walking along the river. If you drive, it's only 5 minutes to downtown, maybe 10 minutes to the Alamo and finding a place to park. Three blocks away there are a lot of trendy (and good) restaurants and bars so walking to dinner is very easy. The house is a few blocks away from the trolley line as well. The grounds are spacious and there is a lot of seating. I just wish it had been a little cooler during our visit. I would have spent an afternoon reading and dozing in the backyard. The house itself is gorgeous and the furnishing are tasteful without being overblown. Breakfast was delicious and ample. The staff takes into consideration food allergies, as well, which is nice. We were very happy with the Blenheim suite, which easily slept three. It was nice to have our own separate entrance/exit to the house as well. We'll definitely be back.

Dana H.

Yelp
Stayed here our first night in San Antonio, was greeted by Megan and she also took our call about the room. The house was beautiful, and she was very helpful in giving us a map of things to do during our visit. I only have a few negative things to say about our stay: 1) the shower head jets need to be cleaned or change the shower head. It literally hurt to take a shower. 2) in our room, there were pull down shades....that didn't go back up. If there is an issue with the function of them, please advise so we don't spend 20 minutes trying to let sunlight in the room 3) breakfast....um it was inedible to say the least...but she tried! It looked good though

Jordana G.

Yelp
Lovely B and B on the quiet part of the Riverwalk in the beautiful old King William neighborhood. The house backs up to the river, and it's maybe a 10 minute walk down the river to all the shops and restaurants. This is great because it's quiet at the hotel yet close to the action. We loved taking a morning walk around the old neighborhood, seeing all the amazing old houses. There is also a B-Cycle bike rental close by. We rode down the river mission trail, so fun! The bedroom was just stunning, the bed comfortable, the homemade oatmeal cookies and nightcaps so welcoming. I couldn't sleep the first night (just me) and went downstairs and made myself a cup of hot tea. Lovely! The innkeepers are very congenial. If you were looking for a wedding spot, thus would be a charming venue with its big yard and lovely trees overlooking the river. Will definitely return.

Wendy Y.

Yelp
A beautiful B&B in the heart of downtown San Antonio. Just a few minutes walk from the Riverwalk as well. We stayed in the Steve's room and loved the vintage feel and atmosphere.

Lynn N.

Yelp
Our #1 choice for accomodations in San Antonio--and we've stayed LOTS of places in this wonderful city. LOVE the management: Don is warm and professional, Megan is so helpful and nice. The home is gorgeous and comfortable, in the greatest neighborhood to sightsee, wander to local restaurants, and run/walk the River Walk endlessly. STAY HERE! Cannot wait to go back!

Jessica F.

Yelp
Great breakfasts and one of the most comfortable beds I've ever stayed in. Very conveniently located on the Riverwalk and the grounds are beautiful. Breakfasts were delicious!! I was bummed that I didn't get to meet the owners, but Megan was nice and very helpful. Like most bed and breakfasts, the decor makes me feel as if I'm staying at my grandmother's house, but our room (Giles) wasn't too garish. One thing that bothered me was the amount of water pressure from the shower...it was so hard it was a bit painful... If you love bed and breakfasts, you'll love The Oge House.

Karen G.

Yelp
If you like nice B&B's, higher class accommodations and/or just enjoy safe environments, please go elsewhere. We paid so much money for 3 nights in the Howard Suite for Fiesta Weekend and had to leave after the first night and pay just as much at a local hotel on the Riverwalk due to wetness on the carpet and a horrible mold smell that made my husband and I physically sick. We didn't even ask for reimbursement but did expect Noble Inn to own up to their subpar room. Instead, we encountered more disappointment by having the Owner of Noble Inn not only deny the smell from the Howard Suite but actually accused my Husband and I of spilling coffee on their carpet. Spilled coffee was the first blamed reason for the mold smell, which was ridiculous and insulting. Then I was actually told that I must have an allergy from a tree, shrub and/or flowers, as if I am so ignorant to not know what a seasonal allergy is. We even tried to endure by spaying an odor remover and was told the strong mold smell must be from the spray. I could share more of the ridiculous things communicated with me but it's not worth it. If I could have endured the room longer, I would have taken pictures of all the other items that I could rant on about but I didn't take pictures. It was very apparent from the Owner's responses over the phone and email, he only wished to defend his room due to the income being received from our reservation instead of at least "Acting" as if he was concerned about his customer. I'm sure the thought of the Owner possibly offering any type of compensation or at the least ownership their moldy room was too much for him to endure and instead of gaining a customer for life with additional referrals, all Noble Inn will receive is a bad review and my experience shared with as many of my friends, associates, co-workers and anyone willing to listen. By the way, we moved to a wonderful Hotel on the Riverwalk with a nice balcony overlooking the water and our nausea and feelings of illness has disappeared. This is turning out to be one of the most expensive weekend getaways to San Antonio due to Noble Inn but a great lesson learned. May God bless Noble Inn with conviction to help open their eyes and their heart on how they treat customers.

Yelp
Mold, Mold, Mold...Wife and I both got sick and contacted the owner. Carpet was wet in our room and we reported it only to be accused that we spilt something. Needless to say we had to leave right away after the first of a three night stay. Being from Houston and working around mold after the hurricane, it's not easy to forget that MOLD smell that this B&B had. If you value your health stay somewhere else. The only reason I gave it a (star) is to post my warning to others.

Yelp
BEWARE! Far from luxurious - this B&B is a scam! PHOTOS ARE MISLEADING. They say their location is a secluded getaway - more like a time machine into the past, in the worst way! Period antiques are broken and chipped thrift items. Extremely small TV. Bed linens were scratchy and worn. We left having to wash every item we brought along because the carriage house smells old and the smell got into our things. In no way can you call this place stunning. Polite staff but they did nothing. Did not show us to our room, simply pointed in the direction and expected us to find it. (Behind a house across the street.) Did not show us the main house, nor go over any of the amenities of the B&B. I can't believe they are still in business!

Yelp
We recently stayed at Oge House. It was a great experience. The owner , Don, personally checked us in and showed us to our room. Gave us a history of the house also. The room was perfect. AC was ice cold thru out our stay, which was important, since it was close to 100 degrees outside. Breakfast was great, served promptly. I would recommend to anyone.

Yelp
Terrible experience. If I could give this place zero stars I would. What could've been such a lovely experience celebrating with family was held back by owners arrogance, lack of hospitality, and classless actions. I've never been talked to or treated the way that the owner of this establishment treated me. I have traveled the world and had a better experience staying in a guesthouse on the Thai boarder. The only nice part about the stay was the breakfast. It's sad to see such a beautiful place ruined by a person who is clearly in the wrong business. Save yourself some money and just drive past the house and admire its beauty from afar.

Yelp
Hospitality was really lacking here and food was mediocre at best. It appeared as thought they were comfortable and no longer was trying. Never felt welcomed the entire time we there. If you consider staying here be sure to pack some ear plugs to avoid listening to the train blowing its horn at all hours of the day and night.

Yelp
We stayed in the Jackson House and I have quite a list of complaints...... to start with, the innkeeper was so rude, condescending and unfriendly. She started our trip off on a bad note! We arrive at the house and the room was hot and muggy (you have no control over the a/c), outdated, sheets were rough, bed was absolutely uncomfortable, shower horrible, bath towels were old and needing to be replaced, multiple times there were no cups so I could get coffee, no iron, and the "robe" was a joke. We asked for the continental breakfast the inn offers at anytime, sorry my idea of a bed and breakfast doesn't include having an exavt sitting time I have to REPORT for breakfast at a house, in the rain no less, two blocks away! This caused drama as the innkeeper was annoyed with our request. I don't know why since all she did was throw some watered down orange juice, a dry muffin and gross melon in the fridge the NIGHT BEFORE! What a joke for a b&b, there's a reason every other bed and breakfast in San Antonio was booked but this had multiple available rooms this weekend! To thibk, we were going to check the grounds out to have our wedding there-ha!

Yelp
We received a complimentary room upgrade from the Jackson house to a king room at the oge house for our honeymoon. The inside of the house is exquisitely and beautifully furnished and decorated in antique furniture and decorations. The room was large with a king bed, antique writing desk, marble topped vanity, couch and ottoman and two bedside tables. Their is a separate entry way and bathroom and the room has its own porch access. The house is open to all guests with coffee, tea, and juice services. A quaint library room to sit, that I used that morning having a coffee and reading, has a rather large collection of dvds you can borrow or books to read . The breakfast room is gorgeous with lovely china. We were served a grapefruit cocktail followed by eggs w dill and feta, sausage, and crescent rolls. The back porch overlooks an adorable courtyard. The walk to the loop of the Riverwalk took about 10 minutes but it's along the river so it is a pleasant walk. The innkeeper, meegan, was astoundingly helpful and polite and took care of everything we needed. Rhe bed is probably the most comfortable i have ever slept in. I can't wait for our next occasion to go back! The only down sides were that the water pressure in the shower was almost painful and the breakfast is rather small.

Yelp
A nice old house, but some pretty unpleasant people in charge. Megan, with whom you'll interact, lacks the charm that you'd expect, given the structure and decor. But the owners, the Nobles, totally lack charm. We booked the Castle Howard Suite (listed at $309 per night) for a six-night stay, only 24 hours before we arrived in San Antonio to see our newborn grandson. At Megan's suggestion, we took the advance purchase special -- nonrefundable, I understand. But the Castle Howard Suite is on the ground floor and has a persistent musty smell which immediately aggravated my wife's allergies. We could not stay in that room. Megan showed us the Mathis room (listed at $259 per night), which was fine, but told us that she could not adjust the rate, as we had booked nonrefundable. Turns out it's a mistake to book a nonrefundable room when all you can see is an online picture. No one else had booked the Castle Howard Suite. In fact, for the last four nights of our stay, we were the only guests in the Inn. I twice asked to be able to pay the Mathis rate, but the owners just refused -- despite the facts that Castle Howard was unacceptable, no one else wanted Castle Howard and they did not lose any possible guest due to my advance purchase. The amount at issue is not huge -- maybe $100? But why be so unpleasant about the whole thing? Why not think: here are two new grandparents who'll be back multiple times a year for many years to come and earn some good will? There are many other fine B&Bs in San Antonio. We'll try them. Yelp
Made a booking for my newly married son and his lovely wife. When we arrived to check them in we were greeted by Don Noble himself. Don willingly gave us a tour of the house and told us more about his history in the area and the other guest houses he owns nearby. The house is stunning - just like you see on the photographs and my daughter in law and son were delighted with the gift. We came back later that evening, parked our car in their safe and big parking lot and walked from there along the river to the main section of the riverwalk. Wonderful. My son reported that they slept like babies and that they breakfast was wonderful and served with care. On the next visit it will be for my wife and I. This place is everything you could wish for and the people running it make it even better. Highly, highly recommend.

Yelp
We stayed at the Oge House following the San Antonio marathon. What an exceptional experience! The Inn is a beautiful historic home located in the King William district on the river just a short walk from the heart of downtown (even post marathon). The staff were professional yet friendly, and extremely knowledgeable about everything San Antonio had to offer. If you're looking to get away from the token Riverwalk hotels, yet still experience everything downtown San Antonio has to offer this is your best bet.

Yelp
This elegant bed and breakfast on the river walk in San Antonio was outstanding. The room and atmosphere was one of the best we have experience. Lisle and Cindy went out of their way for us. Both were exuberant in their display of southern hospitality! Lisle even arranged for bike rentals to be delivered to the house. We were able to take the bikes on the mission trail and ride to both ends of the river walk. Breakfast was timely and delicious. Highly recommend the Oge House.

Yelp
Finishing a seven day stay. What a great location and what a wonderful staff. Would definitely stay here again if we ever come back to San Antonio.
