This was a great tour, small size and very informative. We got to tour her home and gardens, the guide was very knowledgeable and encouraged questions. We enjoyed this tour as much as the museum, much different information. Worth the money.

I have to say I was beyond excited to view the O'Keeffe Welcome Center and home. I was not able to view the home but the welcome center/museum was open. Beautiful building design. Great gift shop. Offered video viewing. Articles of her camping life were on display. I love this artist and felt blessed to be in her element of New Mexico.

We went out of our way to drive here (from CA, then CO) and there was a sign outside stating the center was closed for a private event.

Really disappointing experience. We came all the way from Italy and had chosen this museum as a special stop during our trip to New Mexico. Unfortunately, the reception was terrible. The brunette girl at the front desk was extremely inflexible and rude, denying us entry without giving adequate explanations and showing no willingness to offer alternative solutions. It was particularly frustrating since we had specifically planned to visit. This kind of attitude is not what you’d expect from a cultural institution. Unfortunately, we cannot recommend it.

Wonderful experience from the time we arrived until Lynn finished a very informative tour.

Still unclear if we were at her Abiquiu home or the museum? I wasn't impressed, they must believe she is a legendary figure because they have O'Keefe this and O'Keefe that. The visitor center was good though.

We spent 19 years in NM, and our favorite area is Georgia Okeefe country! We find that not many NM tourists get this area on their list of places to visit. This time we stopped in at the visitor center in Abiquiu and we' were greated by helpful staff. A 25 minute long video was excellent - it highlights the Lopez family who worked for Miss Okeefe back in the 1970s, and their memories of her. .Quite personal and revealing of her as a great person, not just a great artist! Several historical exhibits at the center we're also great to see. We previously had done the tour of her house up the hill in Abiquiu and it is well worth the admission price. You have to book about a week in advance as spots fill up...A shuttle tskes you up to the house from the visitor center. The tour through her home and garden is soulful and memorable. We will do it again.

Stopped in for a quick bite while taking a break from landscape photography. I was pleasantly surprised with how good the food was and the staff is super friendly and helpful. After eating I check out the pottery exhibit upstairs wow that was fantastic. I’m definitely coming back to have dinner

Yelp
We had booked the Georgia O'Keeffe house and studio tour. We arrived about 30 minutes before our tour and shopped in the gift store and wandered over to Abiquiu Inn and shopped in the gift shops there. It was finally time for our tour and we boarded a small bus for the short ride to Georgia O'Keeffe's Abiquiu home. Mark was our tour guide and he was fabulous. The tour is extremely interesting, and it was fascinating to see her home and studio. We learned so much about her life and her as a person through Mark's words and photos he also shared throughout the tour. Her home was simple, but warm, mid-century modern but comfortable. The property was stunning and her garden was lovely. The staff at the Welcome Center was friendly and helpful. You can view some of Georgia's paintings throughout the Welcome Center. There is plenty of parking and we thoroughly enjoyed our time here and Mark as a tour guide.

Yelp
Beautiful and staffed with friendly people. Probably not worth the drive from Santa Fe or Taos unless you are doing the home/studio tour. The tour is VERY fascinating regardless of whether you are an O'Keeffe fan. Seeing how she lived and worked in this tiny village was inspiring.

Yelp
No stars for this rude staff and for our being dismissed from the welcome center without notice due to a "private party." Appalling treatment which did not honor the legacy and spirit of Georgia O'Keeffe. Shame on this staff and their callous disregard for all visitors, some of whom (like myself) traveled a great distance to be coldly rebuffed. A terrible disappointment and a long drive to look at ancillary artifacts (woo...Italian espadrilles) hardly summoning the essence of Ms. O'Keeffe's insights and talents.

Yelp
Nice stop on the way to O'Keefe's property and studio tour. The people arranging the tour bus would not permit me to take my purse because they said it was too bulky. I showed them that the person's purse they were permitting was equally as bulky but they were refusing to permit me on the tour. Eventually I just gave up and understood that they have crazy rules and I had to work within them. If you go bring a small bag. They were likely worried about someone lifting/stealing a rock or item from the property. Either way, it was a fantastic tour. Highly recommend!
