I have been here a couple of times, the steaks are so tasty and their Lasagna is so morish.. I was so full but could not stop eating it. I cant complain about any visit. Food is amazing, great staff. The last visit we were sat by a table that unfortunately one woman was on the loud side, they moved us to another area. Thank you to the young lady who made this possible 😊

My family and I had an amazing evening for my son’s 14th birthday. We were made to feel absolutely welcome and the staff went above and beyond making my son’s night special. Thank you SO MUCH. You weren’t aware but he has special needs and struggles with public events. But you guys unconsciously did everything to make his night memorable (for good reasons)

We were looking for somewhere to eat on a Sunday evening and weren’t local to the area. We ended up here and was shown to a table by a very friendly lady. After around 15 minutes of trying to work out the menu we almost walked out but my goodness I’m pleased we didn’t!!. The food was out of this world which just wasn’t reflected in the menu. I don’t know if it was the confusing menu, the layout, thespelling mistakes or what, but please don’t be put off by the menu as the food is one of the nicest meals we’ve had for a very long time.

Local pub for birthday dinner. Saw social media posts advertising steaks cooked on stone and they looked delicious so thought we would give it a try. The food and service did not disappoint. My son had the stone cooked steak and loved it. Myself and my husband went for tapas dishes plus gourmet nachos. Stand out dishes were the crispy pork ribs with salt and pepper, hallumi and the Chippots which were delicious.

I booked this on the strength of the reviews I read on Google. The location concerned me when we turned up and you can see at some point in its history it has been a night club HOWEVER.....the service was friendly and the food was amazing! I don't think I have ever seen a steak'n'ale pie like it! Thoroughly recommend!

Our first feed in Frome after two days of travelling across the globe with a dog, and it was just what we needed. Warm, helpful service with just the right amount of cheekiness. Tapas unexpectedly high-end and actually better, in our opinion, than the small plates at the much-vaunted Little Walcot up the hill. We'd just arrived from Argentina, so you'll forgive us for skipping the roasts and steaks, but we'll try them next time. My daughter gave high marks to the smoked applewood burger; my wife and I shared a pie and mash -- delicious and more than enough for us. We'll be regulars, here, no question.

We chose to dine here after seeing an advertisement in the window promoting their "No.1 Sunday Roasts" and "King Roasts." Unfortunately, the experience didn’t live up to the promise. The Diet Coke, poured from a bottle, was flat. The roast featured thin slices of meat that tasted like a microwave meal, and the vegetables were dry and unappetising. On a positive note, the service was friendly. However, based on the food quality, I wouldn’t return to eat here again.

Called in for lunch on a very hot Saturday afternoon. Bar staff were really friendly and welcoming. We loved the character and maze-like interior of the place. Pints of Atlantic Pale were good. Excellent choice of food on the menu from smaller plates to larger meals. We both ordered the lasagne (love that they have a lasagne menu with different options!) topped with stilton & bacon which was absolutely delicious. Huge portions with a nicely presented side salad and spicy crispy roast potatoes which they call Chippots - highly recommended! Will definitely call in again when we're in Frome.

Yelp
We were visiting the town of Frome and Old Bath Arms is a pub nearby where we were staying. The inside was ornate, the wallpaper was super funky and the signs with sayings from famous people like Gordon Ramsay was pretty amusing. We got the following: -Steak and ale pie (very packed with flavor and delicious) -Lamb rump toast (very large portion and also very delicious) The prices were pretty affordable and although we came did dinner, we noticed they have lots of lunch deals. I would recommend if you are visiting. The service is nice and they let you dine and take your time.

Yelp
We stumbled onto this restaurant on a rainy day.... what a lovely surprise! The staff was super helpful to Americans; explained the menu with humor and grace. Food was excellent (we had the Sunday roast)...and then the chef joined us table side so we could sample an experimental soup he was working on. We gave it a thumbs up & suggested he name it 'Sisters Soup' since we are 3 sisters (& 1 niece) visiting the UK. All in all a delightful evening & we highly recommend.

Yelp
We were camping nearby on a rainy Sunday and decided to go get some dinner at this great place. They have a huge selection of tapas, steaks, pies, pasta, pizza and even paella! We had the Sunday roast of lamb and beef which was delicious, the fried calamari with skinny fries, a chicken sandwich with panko and hot sauce, the child 5 onz gammon steak, and I had the African steak topped with blue cheese sauce and mashed potatoes. Our steaks were cooked perfectly medium and our waitress was very attractive and patient with our family. We had a few different types of ales and left back to our tent with our bellies full and ready to relax on a rainy night. We all feel that this has been the best meal we've had here in England so far(we've lived her for 11 months). This place was amazing but more of a locals place, don't be a stranger and go get a server if there is no one in the front( that's what we did), you won't regret it!

Yelp
Really fun pub with pool table and retro arcade games. Also serves reasonable and good food, and the cider is also cheap but excellent and lots of choice. Interesting murals on the wall and a good mix of young and old people make for a much more interesting pub experience than your usual. Friendly and informed staff. Will definitely be back.
