The Old Compass Cafe and Bar

Came in for a light western brunch amd it was really great. The chicken cheese sandwich was quite messy and the baguette was not quite large enough, but everything else was great and my guests loved it. It’s up on the third floor and I appreciate that they ask you to silence your phones. Parking is basically nonexistent. Service was great.

This is the kind of place that makes your heart whole by serving hearty home cooked meals. Seriously wasn’t expecting this when I climbed 3 flights of stairs to see a room full of people - albeit busy it was cosy with attentive service personnels. Try their vietnamese home cooked meals.

It's a beautiful place. The food and drinks are good. The price is ok for that quality. Simple menu. Small place. It's on the 3rd floor of an old building. Not suitable for the sore legs.

A quiet comfortable retreat amidst the chaos. A cool vibe, beautiful healthy food and a peaceful, air conditioned environment. A great place to recharge your batteries or catchup on your work or holiday photo edits whilst enjoying great food and drink. Highly recommended. NOTE: it’s a little tricky to find as the entry is about a 10metre setback from the main street, enter via a narrow lane. And it is on Level 3, but worth the stair climb.

Amazing hidden gem in a sidestreet. We were the only ones there which was surprising because the breakfast was great. We ordered lotus and green tea and the Banh Mi Op La, it was really delicious.

Don't skip this small coffee shop. It is about halfway down a narrow alley that you would probably pass by without looking. Up a few stairs you walk into this quaint lovely coffee house. It is very quiet, bright and relaxing. What I read as a simple vegan meal on the menu board, arrived as a full table of food. More than I could finish alone. Needless to say, everything was fresh and tasty. There's a selection of books at the end of the counter, with a few items for purchase. This is a charming and relaxing spot if you want to sit and work or read quietly.

Just the latte I needed! Tucked away down a quiet Saigon side street, this little coffee shop feels like one of those places you’re meant to stumble upon rather than search for. Blink and you’d miss it but slow down, follow the smell of coffee, and you’re rewarded. It’s cosy, calm, and perfectly removed from the city’s chaos. The kind of spot where time softens a little. And when I needed a proper warm latte, it absolutely delivered, smooth, comforting, and exactly what I wanted. No fuss, no gimmicks, just really good coffee done right. It’s proof that the best places don’t shout for attention, they quietly brew it.

Nice cosy café with friendly staff and a clean, quiet atmosphere. Loved the healthy breakfast — it was fresh and satisfying. The cappuccino had too much milk and was too hot, and the salad was a bit too sweet for my taste. Still, a pleasant place overall. I’d come back for the breakfast and the peaceful vibe.
