The Old Fort Estate

I rented this estate for my 50th birthday and invited friends and family to celebrate with me and from beginning to end this was by far one of the best experiences I’ve had. The team was so accommodating and responsive and just made the entire week so special for me and my guests. I received so many kudos for renting this estate from my friends. They loved it! Darren & Marley our captains for our speed boat trips to Mustique & Tobago Cays was just exceptional. Chef Timothy and his daughters out did themselves with some of my favorite local cuisines. Literally finger licking fabulousness every day. Strongey and Laverne were always available and responsive to our every need and made us feel at home. Lenox was by far the most amazing butler pulling everything together and catering to our every request no matter how big or small. The estate is huge but felt like home. Special shout out to our drivers Paul & Gideon who made sure we had safe transportation on mainland and on Bequia. LOVED

The Old Fort is a truly special place. I had been there in years past, but it was the first time that my family got to experience Bequia and The Old Fort. The team did a great job securing drivers for us from the airport in St Vincent to the ferry and then pickup in Port Elizabeth - with accommodations for my elderly mother who has mobility challenges. ||The grounds are beyond lovely with beautiful outdoor spaces for lounging and enjoying the expansive views across the sea to Mustique. We had fantastic weather with breezy, clear days. Gideon Taxi was our go-to for quick trips into town and to the beach. The staff were helpful with requests (and even secured some starter groceries since we were getting in after dark). Their recommendation to pre-order homemade bread from Indra at The Upper Crust was such a great idea - perhaps the best Ciabatta we've had ever!||For a peaceful stay at a beautiful property on a very special island, we highly recommend The Old Fort.

I was invited to stay at the Old Fort in celebration of a milestone birthday. It was AMAZING!!! The staff ,owner & chefs made it a truly unforgettable experience. The views from the property are indescribable !! I am looking forward to staying there again in the future.

We stayed at The Old Fort over Easter with our family, and honestly, it was one of the best decisions we made on the entire trip. From the second we arrived, we were just in awe. The place is stunning like waking up in the middle of a painting, with the ocean, the hills, the stone architecture… it’s got this old-world magic that’s hard to put into words.||It felt peaceful, welcoming, and just so beautifully different from anything else we’ve experienced. Every corner of the property had its own charm, and it was the perfect setting for us to really relax and enjoy time together as a group. We had space, comfort, views that literally stopped us mid-sentence, and such a sense of calm.||The team was amazing too so kind and helpful, you could tell they really cared about making our stay special. We left feeling rested, happy, and already talking about when we can come back.||If you’re heading to Bequia and you want somewhere that feels like a dream….. go here! you won’t regret it.

Our group stayed at Old Fort over the New Year's holiday. Like the other reviews state, the views are spectacular - the ocean by day and shooting stars at night. The property is rustic and very unique, and well suited for those who enjoy nature and open air living. The pool is stunning, and one of the best my group has experienced. Our favorite part of the property was the private chef, which they recommended, Chef Tim. Please ask for him when you stay here! ||We took taxis to get down to the beach (we loved Curtice taxi, who made our trip special), and it was very easy. Bequia is a special place, and we will be returning.

In March, our family of 11 stayed at the Old Fort in Bequia for a week long vacation. What a unique property! We loved the open concept house, the cobbled walls, and the spectacular views from throughout the house. We were also blown away by the master bedroom in the tower that was easily one of the nicest rooms I’ve ever stayed in.||We spent a lot of time by the pool, which was the perfect place to relax and take in the ocean views. The house also had tables and seating areas scattered throughout, so there was never a shortage of places to lounge. The kitchen came fully equipped, making family dinners an easy task. And while the house felt secluded on a beautiful property, the bars, restaurants, and beaches were just a short drive away.||The host was responsive, attentive, and ensured that his groundskeeper was available for anything we needed. Bequia is a small island but given the location of the property, we were happy that we rented a car. We also frequently walked into town, which was a beautiful walk that took about ~40 minutes. ||The Old Fort is such a unique property well suited for large groups. I would highly recommend staying here!

The estate itself is stunning—beautifully maintained, with breathtaking views in every direction and a perfect blend of off-the-grid escapism, historic charm and modern comfort. Quirin and his staff truly made the experience remarkable with their warm hospitality. Whether it was helpful tips about the island, organizing tours/taxis to breathtaking hikes and untouched beaches, or ensuring we had everything we needed, they added so much to the magic of the trip. If you’re looking for a serene and luxurious getaway with quality service and a few eco-friendly touches, Old Fort Estate is a must.
