During our recent annual trip to Aruba, my wife surprised me with a dinner reservation at "The Old Man and The Sea." I must say, we have had the privilege of dining in many fantastic restaurants around the world, and this culinary haven within a lavish resort did not disappoint. Our experience at this exquisite resort was nothing short of extraordinary. From the moment we arrived, we were enveloped in an ambiance of elegance and tranquility. The serene surroundings, coupled with the gentle sounds of the sea, created a truly enchanting atmosphere. The service was exemplary, with special mention to Gabriella, whose attentiveness and warmth made our visit unforgettable. She went above and beyond to ensure that every aspect of our dining experience was perfect, making us feel truly special and valued. The food was simply divine. Each dish was meticulously prepared, showcasing the finest ingredients and an extraordinary level of culinary artistry. From the appetizers to the desserts, every bite was a testament to the chef's skill and passion. It was, without a doubt, one of the best meals we've ever had. The tranquil and beautiful location provided the perfect backdrop for an unforgettable dining experience. Dining under the stars, with the soft ocean breeze and the sound of waves gently lapping the shore, was a truly magical experience. This is, without a doubt, one of the most serene and stunning places we have ever visited in our lives. I understand the boldness of the statement, but I am certain that this experience warrants the hype. "The Old Man and The Sea" is a hidden gem, a true testament to the perfect blend of luxury, tranquility, and exquisite cuisine. We left with our hearts full and our taste buds delighted, already looking forward to our next visit.

This place is nothing like what’s shown or described on the website. It’s very misleading and not up to par in any way. Let’s start with its no where near ANYTHING! Every time you leave the resort it’s somehow $42 no matter where on the island you go (SCAM). The front desk staff and manager are all very unhelpful. After misleading us and confirming us for a room unlike the one on the site, they offered to “accommodate” us by Allowing us to pay and ADDITIONAL $3k on top of the thousands already spent (SCAM). We asked to see the room in person that we would be acquiring and it still was NOTHING like the site or the room we actually booked (SCAM). Not to mention the bathroom was OUTSIDE! If you’re looking for a modern, luxury, high end vacation spot This Is Not It! Everything is antique & extremely dated. No refunds or exchanges without them SCAMMING half of the money you already paid at the time of booking, in full. So Beware! Do Not Stay Here! 0/10 I Do Not Recommend!

Truly the most amazing dining experience we have ever had. Simply stunning views and wonderful ambiance. Maria, our host was so wonderful and seated us in the most magical place over looking the water. Gabriella was our server and so attentive. The cocktails were delicious, as was the food. The bruschetta was fresh and one of the best I have had. This is my 4th time to Aruba, but my first time here. I will be back. This dining experience made this vacation so special.

We made reservations on Christmas and called ahead to check in on the menue due to dietary restrictions, the person we spoke with said the regular menue would be available, but that was not the case. Gabriella was extremely sweet and understanding, amazing customer service and kindness, we will be back another night: Hard to be upset with such a sweet server! She was amazing :) Although we left and plan to return, the restaurant was absolutely gorgeous & Gabriella set a high standard! Although I can’t attest to the food just yet, the service and ambiance are immaculate!

The ambiance of this place is really beautiful and felt whimsical. We were expecting the food to match the decor/vibe. However we were very unimpressed by the food, everything we had was mediocre at best. We wanted a nice bottle of wine with dinner but they were out of most of their wine on their wine list and the ones they had were not pleasant. Our appetizers came out before we were served our water or cocktails. We ordered the lamb medium well and it came very well done. Similarly, our red snapper was overly done and had an almost gamey texture which is unusual for a snapper. Our server and the manager were kind but the service was not great overall. It was not an ideal dining experience outside of the beautifully done decor. For the price you’re paying for the meal, I wouldn’t say it’s worth it! I hope they consider changing the menu or chefs.

We had an incredible dining experience. The meal started with the chef’s special, a refreshing cucumber with shredded chicken that tasted great. Shortly after, it began to rain unexpectedly. While our table wasn’t covered, nearby guests with a sheltered spot kindly invited us to sit with them until the rain passed, which was a lovely and welcoming gesture. Once the rain stopped, we continued our meal with the Caribbean calamari appetizer, which was crispy, perfectly seasoned with Caribbean spices, and paired with a delightful fruit salsa. For dinner, we enjoyed the fresh catch of the day, a beautifully cooked red snapper served with Spanish risotto, sautéed vegetables, and a Creole shrimp sauce, as well as the famous shrimp a la vodka, featuring tender shrimp in a creamy vodka marinara sauce with penne pasta. Both dishes were exceptional. We ended with the Oreo cheesecake, which was tasty but not as remarkable as the rest of the meal. The stunning sunset view and the combination of delicious food and friendly atmosphere made for a truly memorable evening.
