The Old Man and the Sea restaurant

What a hidden gem in Aruba! This was a new restaurant for my husband and I, and it did not disappoint! We were greeted by a staff member and directed down an enchanting pathway of plants, light and candles, opening to a lovely scenic view of the restaurant and ocean. We were seated at a table on the beach, tucked in around trees and other comfy tables with couches and thatched huts. Our waitress Caroline was pleasant and attentive. We both had the catch of the day, mahi mahi, which was amazing and cooked to perfection! The atmosphere was so cozy and magical, and the steel drum music added to the experience! Highly recommend it!

My wife and I travelled here for our once in a lifetime Honeymoon, and it was amazing. It really is a small tucked away hidden gem in Aruba, we 100% recommend it, especially if you want to have a private vacation/trip/special occasion. Own private beach front, beach loungers🏝️, snorkeling equipment and kayaks etc. beautiful pier’s over the water to dine on, had daily breakfast over the water every day. It was so amazing. ||We stayed in three different rooms while we were there and loved all of them, Orqedia being our favourite! They all have their own unique style and perks!:) It is pricey but is well worth the money, so much better than staying at an all inclusive, where most people just want to drink and not even remember or appreciate their vacation. Highly recommend if you can afford!:)||Great bar-tenders as well! Make sure to see Zaldy, he will take care of you and make you your favourite drink,🍹 and give you a good laugh! Lol 😆 ||Staff is so friendly, and considerate, and do attend to your every need! My wife and I had such a wonderful stay & honey-moon!❤️🤍 We thank-you Aruba Ocean Villas!:)||Also the in-house restaurant is incredible (Old man and the Sea) some of the best food we have ever had! My friends and I had the best experience ever! Antonio, our server, was so friendly and kindhearted. He was very polite and helpful. He was fun and brought the energy from the start. Wendel was unbelievably talented singing to us many songs. His voice and talent made the food taste even better!! The ambiance was breathtaking. We had an absolute amazing and wholesome experience together

We had an absolutely wonderful experience! From start to finish, everything was excellent — the food, the service, and the atmosphere were all top-notch. A special thank you to the manager, Marilyn, who went above and beyond to accommodate us and made sure everything was perfect. Her kindness and attention to detail truly made our visit memorable. We will definitely be back and highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a five-star experience!

Ok so 5* because the settings alone deserve a 5* in every category ans oberhsadows all else. Your jaw will drop at the beauty, especially when arriving at sunset! The service was great from Carlos, great recommendations too! Only let down was the Greek salad which sounded amazing on the menu, but was disappointing, for $20, just the same lettuce and sparse tomatoes cube and the side salad served with the other appetisers anyway, with some stale pitta on the side. The rest of the food we really enjoyed, but to be honest this is where you come for settings and good drinks more than the food!

As others have noted, the setting is excellent. Had a sunset dinner and were seated at the end of a mini-dock at the water's edge with unobstructed, beautiful view. Cocktails were very good. Tiramisu was very good However, the entrees were mediocre at best. Zucchini lasagna was mostly cheese, very watery, not much better than you might get at a strip mall Italian joint. Duck breast with veggies lacked much flavor and veggies were under-cooked. As for the price, not worth it for the food, perhaps worth it for the ambience and view.

Amazing couples getaway spot! The villas are located in an oasis of their own. It’s like walking into your own private paradise. We stayed in the LouLou and the villa was pristine and perfect upon arrival, exactly what you see in the photos. Water activity equipment is available for use and room service available for meals and just about anything else you might need.|Staff was very welcoming, kind and responsive! We communicated via WhatsApp, which was useful since most excursion guides also use this app. The people there really made you feel right at home and taken care.|Highly recommend! Especially for couples celebrating something special 💛

A paradise within the paradise. This is how I felt staying at Ocean Villas. |The place is amazing and unique. I recommend it if you want to escape from the usuale touristic resorts and you want to live a peaceful wild experience in Aruba. The atmosphere is relaxing and peaceful. You really have a chance to reconnect and recharge yourself.|The Villas are unique and the decor is mainly handmade and selected by the owner which you can definitely tell has a creative and artistic view. |The people that work there also really make you live the experience at the best. Always available and ready to make you live a dream. |I recommend also doing the garden massage with stones. I am still dreaming of it. |I will definitely go back to this paradise.
