The Old Siam Plaza is a charming and nostalgic stop in Bangkok’s historic old town — a welcome contrast to the big modern malls elsewhere in the city. It feels like a window into classic Bangkok, with traditional architecture, a relaxed vibe, and a mix of interesting shops and food stalls.
I especially enjoyed wandering through the ground floor food area with Thai snacks and sweets, and checking out the variety of silks, fabrics, and local boutiques upstairs. It’s a great place to pick up unique Thai textiles or just take a break from the heat in the air-conditioned interior.
