We stayed for our 18-th wedding anniversary for 2 nights and had room No16! great view to the square, lovely room with very soft bedding and nice touch with Nespresso machine with plenty capsules in room. I love chamomile tea for breakfast but only English breakfast was available. I am sure if I would of asked it would of been available so it wasn't issue. stuff in restaurant very friendly and service was very quick. we also had dinner on Friday night which was tasty and cozy atmosphere. we would return if we visit Stow on the Wold again.

Breakfast and dinner were great. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Our room was on the top floor. No elevators, had to walk up three flights with heavy luggage on very old floors which are slanted and narrow. Low wooden beams were in the hallway, our room, and in the dining room. Yes, I hit my head. I do not recommend the hotel if you cannot carry your bags up and down very narrow stairs. Anyone over 5’9”” has to watch low hanging beams.

Positives: staff were friendly and helpful, free drink voucher as booked direct, nice restaurant-dinner and breakfast good, nice outdoor seating for a drink. Very clean. Nice toiletries, towels and good shower.||Negatives: very poor street presentation with badly rotting window frames and advertising plakard boards outside. Difficult stairs with no constant handrails. Sink had large crack which had been taped over. Very small room and bathroom (this was more expensive one so imagine cheaper just as good). Very hard lumpy pillows. |Fairly expensive dinner but probably average for town and cost of eating out now. |August but fairly empty. Stow on the Wold looking bit sad and rundown. |Overall left feeling bit deflated.

This is a lovely old hotel, centrally located on the main town square. Parking is available at the rear although it’s usually also available in the square. The rooms are very comfortable and well appointed. The hotel is a maze inside so remember how to get to your room! On hot days you definitely need the fan to keep things cool. The restaurant is excellent and the outdoor space is a lovely spot to enjoy your meal, or just a drink or two. Highly recommend.

Booked the private dining room for a party of 11. From the private reception in the cocktail lounge to the quality of food and service, the event was a great success. Huge thanks to Alice, Charlotte and Zac who between them ensured a faultless event. Thoroughly recommended.

It was definitely a very warm welcome and fantastic food. Just visited today, not having booked beforehand and therefore not expecting a table but thought we would ask anyway. The staff couldn’t have been friendlier and they welcomed us (a family of 4 including our 2 kids and our 47kg Labby boy). We were seated in a really lovely clean and modern but welcoming bar area with comfortable seating. The food, service and atmosphere were really good. We can definitely recommend the Sunday roast beef and the Almond and Pear Tart. Husband also said the sticky toffee pudding was the best he had ever eaten! Definitely Recommend this wonderful restaurant. Dog friendly also, with a Dog food menu! Looking forward to our next visit. Thanks for a lovely experience.

Nice cozy B&B in the heart of Stow. Dinner was nice but breakfast was really good. |Stayed in room 18, cozy room, with plenty of space and overlooking the back of the hotel. |Went in summer August and even though it was hot outside the room was not too hot and at night it refreshed nicely.

We had a truly lovely stay in Stow-on-the-Wold! The room was spacious, beautifully decorated, and incredibly comfortable, making it the perfect place to relax after a day of exploring the charming town. The bathroom was modern and well-appointed, with a great shower and high-quality toiletries that added a touch of luxury. The food at the hotel was delicious, with a well-thought-out menu offering a variety of tasty options, and the wine list was impressive, featuring some excellent selections to pair with our meal. The staff were warm and welcoming, always happy to help with recommendations and ensuring that we had everything we needed. Overall, it was a lovely experience, and we would highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area!”

Yelp
Great lunch, wine was cold, burger was juicy, espresso a bit bitter but the desert was exceptional!! Others had great meals too and their deserts were fantastic too! We will be back. I would say the only down side was the service, they did not check if all was OK and we had to go in search of our own sauces.

Yelp
We loved Old Stocks Inn for dinner. We all loved our first dishes, bok choy, heirloom tomatoes, and Caesar salad. Main courses were just as delicious. We all had the catch of the day with scrumptious risotto. And for dessert, wonderful strawberries and cream and chocolate mousse. My mother also has sever celiac disease (gluten allergy) and they were amazing accommodating her needs and making sure there was no cross contamination. Additionally, after looking around the property we began to wish we were staying there instead of our hotel across the way.

Yelp
What a wonderful find! We had a scrumptious dinner. Catch of the day and bok choy were cooked to perfection, and the desserts were special & unusual (a dark chocolate mousse with brazed banana slices was divine). They handled our one guests Coeliac Gluten-Free needs with ease & assurance, providing GF bread.

Yelp
Fabulous food, well presented and very tasty. Yummy fresh bead and delicious desserts. We had a last minute reservation of a large party which they agreed to. Had to wait a lot longer than they originally said to be seated and order. Service when seated was decent and one particularly friendly server helped make the evening very pleasant. Only giving 4 stars because of the long wait.

Yelp
I just stayed here with my husband and two boys and I can't say enough wonderful things about it! Rooms were beautiful and clean, the food was delicious and the staff was friendly and courteous. I highly recommend to anyone who wants a place to stay while visiting the Cotswolds!

Yelp
Fantastic food with a true culinary vision. We were in Stow-on-the-Wold for two nights and, after our first dinner, went back the second night. Highly recommended.

Yelp
We had a great experience at the Old Stocks Inn. The staff were wonderful and the rooms were very well appointed. We had dinner one evening and breakfast each morning and all of the meals were delicious. We would definitely stay and dine here again.

Yelp
Lots of veggie options here. I got a vegetable risotto and DH got a mushroom dish that he kept raving about. Very friendly service (you order at the bar), and cozy dining room.

Yelp
The accommodations and the food are amazing. From the breakfast to the rabbit and lamb for dinner, everything was excellent. I can't recommend this place enough.
