This place is great!!! I loved the atmosphere!!! Live music was amazing!!!!! Get there early and get a table downstairs. We had a very large group and the only place they could accommodate us was up stairs away from the music. We got there early before the dinner rush but we could definitely tell they had gotten busy. One of our tables that had ordered the same time we did didn’t get their food until everyone else had already finished their meals. We had to ask a couple of times where the food was. We had the bangers and mash and the mashed potatoes and gravy were amazing!!! Also had the pork and apple pot pie and that was good as well! We highly recommend for the atmosphere, drinks and live music!!!

Google
Delicious Food! feels and tastes home-made. Very friendly staff and we had a blast with the live singer. It's not cheap, but worth every penny.

The food here is amazing! Unfortunately, the service was quite poor and I couldn't hardly get a water the whole time I was here. The waiter was quite rude when it was finally brought, too. Live music is good and traditional food was flavorful and well seasoned. Only wish there was better service!

If this is your first time traveling to Dublin you must go!! We went for lunch on a weekday and were able to get a seat at the back. I was with my two year old and the staff were so nice to find us a comfortable table. Every dish we ordered was phenomenal! Even though I am not experienced enough on Irish food I could tell it was pretty authentic seeing not only tourists but locals enjoying the food. The atmosphere is an Irish pub with high table and chairs with cozy seats in the back. I wish I could come and visit at night! Very cozy and clean with attentive and nice staff. Must go if you are in Dublin! A great place to walk around too🩷🩷

-We ate Traditional Guinness and Irish Beef Casserole. The sauce was quite different and delicious. -The music and entertainment were great. It's a place I'd definitely visit again when I go to Dublin.

Google
Delicious pub food. Some of the best we have had on our visit to the city. The Guinness and Irish Beef Casserole was extraordinary. The chowder also a highlight. We’ve heard the music is quite the experience but the evening we stopped there was no room inside. Get there early for dinner! We returned the next day for lunch.

Google
Nice place, good music, fast service (not the friendliest), average food. I got the fried cauliflower and the mussels — cauliflower had a weird chalky texture/taste to it and the mussels were overpowered by all the bacon in the sauce. Fries were excellent however. The weird thing about this place is they write a recommended tipped total on top your bill, over the actual amount, and it’s not clear they’re asking you to tip. They do ask if you’re okay with it once they came with the card reader, but I barely had time to register what she meant before tapping my card.

Google
Just what we wanted our 1st night in Dublin. Great food and live music, this place did not disappoint. The garlic butter cheese mussels were phenomenal. Ask for extra bread to sop up all the broth. Not your typical mussels preparation, but was some of the best I’ve had. Everyone loved the band as well.

Yelp
We visited The Old Storehouse during our time in Dublin and loved it! I wanted a pub environment with local Irish music and The Storehouse did not disappoint. Really talented musicians graced both the upper and lower levels and one of the waitresses performed Irish dances throughout the evening. So fun!!

Yelp
My husband and I had so much fun here! We ended up here after bar hopping throughout Temple Bar district and we ended up staying here the longest. They had an amazing performer who was doing all the amazing cover hits that I could've dreamed of. We got there around 8:30, so it was still pretty early and easy to find seats. As the night progressed, it did get a bit harder to find seats, so I'd recommend to come early. Since we already ate, we only came for the vibes. We ordered a Whiskey soda and beer and enjoyed amazing entertainment. Highly recommend this place in the Temple Bar district if you're looking for drinks and sing a longs!

Yelp
This was our 4th and final pub stop on our first night in Dublin. The Old Storehouse was great! A crowded pub filled with locals and tourists. Live music by Sean Coffey was incredible. We sat at a high top in front of the bar and a group of locals asked if they could join us. We had the best time! They even dug out some tequila for this Florida girl. Highly recommend!

Yelp
This was probably the most disappointing meal of our trip, but it wasn't BAD. Just mediocre. Granted, this is a place located in Temple Bar, so it's going to be more touristy and loud. I had a vegan meal, while my partner had a non-vegan meal and we were both pretty "meh" about our options. This may be a better place for you to stop by if you aren't vegan, enjoy loud environments with entertainment, and want a bar experience.

Yelp
Yum yum yum! It was our first stop when we landed in Dublin and it was for sure the right choice! It was the best fish and chips we had on our trip as well as the best bangers and mash I have ever had! It was in a prime location, among all of the quintestial Dublin spots but it wasn't overly crowded with tourists! There was live music when we went that was great as well!

Yelp
March 2024 visit - This was our very 1st meal after arriving in Dublin, we were starving for a late lunch so we took an Uber here from the Gibson Hotel. We wanted to experience a traditional Irish pub with great vibes with good music and The Old Storehouse delivers. Downstairs is a bar and upstairs is where you can sit down for a meal. Hubby and I shared a seafood chowder, Guinness stew, a side order of vegetables, and a cheesy garlic bread. The Guinness stew was quite salty but it worked out perfectly with all our side dishes. We did visit during an odd hour of 3pm, but service was prompt and friendly. Our tummies were happy and full, then off we went sightseeing in the area.

Yelp
Great spot for a pint or three. Prices are Teple Var but the beer is fresh and the bar staff amazing. Love music and great crowd makes for a fun night.
google avatar

Yelp
Great pub food. We had the burger and the Irish stew which was excellent. Lively bar scene downstairs and dining upstairs.

Yelp
The Old Storehouse is a restaurant next to Leo Burdock and across the street from The Bad Ass Cafe. The food is great, but dining space is pretty cramped (especially if sporting events are on). It's pretty hard to get a table on the weekend so would recommend getting there early to secure a spot.

Yelp
Traditional Irish food with live music in the background, can't be beat! Wait staff was wonderfully friendly and food was incredible. Definitely recommend for a traditional Irish meal and pint of Guinness while you're in town!

Yelp
What a great first night in Dublin but to find a random place for dinner and not knowing what to expect - it turned into a night of entertainment. My waitress was quick to get me a seat where I could enjoy the entertainment- not knowing what it was. I just saw two guys on stage setting up and the restaurant slowly filling up. I have my beer, wings, and tequila I'm good to go. The musicians duo sounded good doing a mix of cover songs and old Irish favorites (I'm guessing) and then all of a sudden here's this young girl who jumps on stage and started doing some epic step dancing. How cool is that. I ended staying to have a few more drinks and decided to call it a night. Definitely pop in here if you're looking for somewhere to relax, enjoy some food and get entertained and the service great. I hope you have a great experience as I did! Njoy!

Yelp
Some of the best/most comforting food we had while in Dublin. We were exploring Temple Bar and had just arrived in Dublin and wanted to try Irish cuisine and get out of the November cold and wind. We lucked out snagging a table upstairs while there was also live music playing. It was Top 40 hits from 80's/90's/now and the band was really talented. We swayed and sang in our seats while we awaited our Guinness and took in the warm wood and nostalgia decor. The vibes were quintessential "Irish pub" and the service friendly. In addition to the Guinness (it really is better in Ireland), we ordered: Onion Rings: served with ranch. They were good. Nothing super special, but well-cooked. Bangers and Mash: pork sausages and creamy mash served with gravy. That gravy is incredible. We could happily swim in it. Sausage well-seasoned and the potatoes creamy and flavorful. Irish Cottage Pie: ground beef, veggies, and topped with mashed potatoes and served with more veggies. The meat was a tad salty, but the mixture of textures and flavors were great. My favorite part was the root veggies. They were so tasty, perfect amount of crunch, and the herbs chosen were great. We would definitely make a stop here again and would try and get a seat downstairs during live music.

Yelp
The food was great but it was a wait to be seated. Everyone around us who was seated after us received their food before we did. They had a great musician so we were at least entertained while we waited. The food was good. Loved the Guinness and beef pie.

Yelp
Went and looked up this spot then sought it out for our first evening in Dublin. I had to try the traditional Irish Pie which was hearty and delicious. This was the solid foundation needed for all the pints yet to be consumed. Had a bit of my buddies Bangers and Mash and I must say the gravy was phenomenal. When in Dublin I recommend making The Old Storehouse a must visit!

Yelp
Trying to find the most fun in Temple bar is like trying to find the best jazz on Bourbon street. When we stopped by the musician was talented and playing great games with the crowds. Folks had to guess the music and were encouraged to sing along. A wonderful time.
google avatar

Priya K.

Yelp
We stopped in for a late dinner around 9pm and the ambiance was 10/10. They had live music going and everyone was upbeat and singing along. The service was pretty good as well. We did have to flag the waiter down once or twice because once he brought the food he didn't check on us again to see if we had everything we needed. Also didn't ask us for a second round of drinks. The food itself was pretty tasty. We had the vegan burger with chips, the Irish cottage pie, the beef casserole and the spicy chicken wings with chips. The chips in both dishes were cooked properly and even a little crispy, which we enjoyed. The burger was pretty tasty and we appreciated that they had a vegan menu. The beef casserole, recommended by the waiter, was just alright. It lacked in flavor a bit and visually wasn't very appealing. The wings were tasty and the cottage pie was really good as well.

Yelp
Great place to hear traditional Irish music while having a nice hearty Irish meal. We sat upstairs and could hear the music just fine. Crowded, and this is the "off season". Would recommend to pop in and just have a pint, or two!!

Yelp
After lunch we decided we would go for a walk back to the Temple Bar area. We had seen the bar across the street and we walked in but it was pretty busy and standing room only. We decided to stroll across the street into The Old Storehouse. They had live music here too and while the crowd was slightly more hidden from the front door, it was just as busy at TOS. Because it is larger and has more open spaces, there was more seating area. We started outside because the upstairs was more restaurant space and we just wanted to have drinks. The outside patio area had a TV but you could still hear the singer. It has a covered open feel so you could see and hear the rain but we were kept dry. After 3-4 hours, we decided to go back upstairs and share a few dishes. So we did what every tourist should do, we ordered the Guinness Stew, Bangers and Mash and there Cottage Pie [when in Rome]. All were extremely delicious and the portions were a good size. The Guinness Stew created a great conversation because two of the guests thought that this was better than the other famous place we went to for their famous Guinness Beef Stew. We also shared a Baily's cheesecake with the ice cream. Glad the place across the street had no seating area, we were very happy to be here.

Yelp
Great place for food and music. Sometimes there is a girl dancing on the bar similar to River Dance style. Shawn plays there a lot and we like to hear him play. One of my favorites.
google avatar

Jeff W.

Yelp
Just off the main strip, not a bad place. It was quite crowded the night we went, but we got lucky and found a table. The food was good and the service was attentive. Definitely worth a visit.
google avatar

Yelp
The Old Storehouse has 2 floors. The top floor is for dining. The service is both professional and quick. The waitress ensured I can order my drinks promptly upon seating which is much appreciated. The lamb stew, resembling more of a soup, contained barley, celery, and carrots, which suited my preference. The seafood soup with soda bread had smoked salmon, a unique touch considering that other places use different fish. It was busy and the place was hot but the staff did eventually turn on the air conditioning. In Ireland, the tax rate is 23%, and unlike New York, you have the choice to give a 10% tip without feeling obligated. Additionally, the live music adds to the overall experience.
google avatar

Jake C.

Yelp
Great local faire. We ordered the fish and chips and the meat pie and both were fantastic and came out quickly. Live music and dark Irish pub atmosphere was the perfect spot for lunch/ dinner.
google avatar

Hart P.

Yelp
Not a bad place to have a drink and enjoy live music. The bar is on the middle floor, the upper and lower floor were being used for dining. But it also allowed you to find a quiet corner to talk. Tables were hard to come by when we were there.
google avatar

Yelp
Busy place - had to wait for a table. I got seafood chowda - Excellent. Better than I get back home in New England. Fish n chips was excellent too. I ate too much. Next time I'll just get a big bowl of seafood stew. Friend got mussels. Looked really good, and she's still talking about them. This is a week later. Have to mention the entertainment - It was some guy with a guitar and he had the whole place singing snd syncing. And we were in a room where we couldn't even see him but they piped the music in. The guy was awesome. Wish I knew his name. Great food, great music, I'll be back!
google avatar

Lars L.

Yelp
Well, they want ordered a Jamison, they had glasses with a fill level on them for one shot which I've never seen before and they don't even have it filled to that level, cheap doesn't even explain when this place I had to ask on the third one to fill to the fill line at least! Not like it's imported

Yelp
What a lovely place, if you are visiting Dublin make sure to stop by here. Live music everyday starting at 4:30 pm, food and service are very good, fun ambience. I tried to come here one day at 7:00 pm, I couldn't even pass trough the main door,it was extremely crowded, but I tried it again the next day at 4:30 pm and I was able to get a table, make sure to come early if you want to eat and enjoy some music I highly recommend this place.

Marysue R.

Yelp
Great location but food was mediocre and took forever once we ordered. Burger and steak were over cooked. Fish and chips were Overly breaded. Music downstairs was great. When you saw the staff they were friendly.

Daryl J.

Yelp
The food is great but the service from the bartender with a nose ring and arm tattoos was horrible. She was absolutely rude and ruined our entire experience. I would recommend staying away
google avatar

Debbie L.

Yelp
Food came out promptly . Not sure why they get such great ratings . The Fish tasted old / had a stale taste . Music was awesome.
google avatar

Yelp
Great exhibits, well laid out. Just wish there were employees to answer questions or even the option for a guided tour vs self guided. I like listening to locals :)

Yelp
Spent way to long at this pub with my good friend Andrew. Had close to 10 Guinesses each by the time we were done. Highly recommend the onion rings, some of the best I've ever had.

Julia H.

Yelp
Been going to the pub for over 10 years and it has always been ok. Had probably the worse experience today - they got the order for the child wrong two times, second time we didn't send it back. The waiting between the starters and the main course was around 50 mins. The main complaint was about my husband's main course - there were tons of mushrooms in the beef Guinness stew, barely any beef at all. When I mentioned that I was told by the manager that mushrooms were vegetables. She never apologized for any of that, was overall rude and very unpleasant. the whole lunch was a disappointment that's costed nearly €100

Yelp
Trying to pick a restaurant in Dublin square is a hard choice. Everything has delicious dishes, but we were looking for live music as well. We ended up at the Old Storehouse, a bit hesitant since the outside looks very gimmicky, but inside they are a quaint pub. They have multiple dining areas; we grabbed a barrel in the downstairs music stage area. The music was modern-not Irish, but we still enjoyed it! Our waitress was wonderfully friendly. She heard us debating about what food to order-and made fantastic recommendations. I settled on the Beef Casserole, and my hubby the Seafood Chowder. The beef casserole was MASSIVE-it could definitely be shared with two, but I was hungry so I conquered it all! I felt like the meat was never ending, as I found more pieces under the potatoes. The seafood chowder had large chunks of fresh seafood choices, with warm fresh soda bread on the side (my favorite part). This is a great stop. Simply delicious food, great prices, nice area to hang out, and lots of ale choices!

Yelp
Great little pub in temple bar area. Pints go for about 7€ and there are a few bars and tables to eat at on multiple levels. They have TVs that have futbol playing all day and the staff is nice and friendly. Nice dark Irish traditional pub with music daily. Want to get away from the "temple bar" itself, this is the place! More locals than tourists
google avatar

Tung D.

Yelp
I walked in this pub on a week day and it was much less crowded than the other pubs in the area. This pub was one of those that had live music, and that was a plus. The pub was spacious, so it was easy to watch the live music while enjoying my dinner. I sat at the bar and ordered Sirloin Steak & Chips with a pint of Guiness beer. The steak came out without any sauce, but still it was very flavorful. The meat was very beefy, probaby because it was dry-aged. The chewyness was just right. The chips and onion rings were delicious too.
google avatar

Nicole M.

Yelp
We wanted to skip the overpriced, busy Temple Bar and this place was right around the corner on a quieter street. The live music was a wonderful element and the staff was friendly. I loved the cottage pie and my husband really enjoyed the steak. We loved the place so much we stopped by once more before we left Dublin.

Yelp
This pub is a great spot for socializing, mixing, mingling, singing, eating, and drinking. What fun we had! We headed in on a Saturday night, and the place was hopping with live entertainment and many, many customers. We were able to get the attention of a server right away, who took us up to a great cozy table for two. The food was delicious, and was definitely a few steps above "standard pub fare". I had a Kale Caesar and gave it two thumbs up. My husband had the Beer Battered Fish and Chips, and he was very, very happy with his choice. Paired our meal with white wines, and finished with espresso and Chocolate Pudding. Everything was great. It seemed that the diners at the tables around us were all in great spirits and having fun. Everything was quite enjoyable, and the live music was terrific. All together we paid 60.25 Euros, plus tip, and felt it was very worth it.

Yelp
Had so much fun. Went to visit for a BDay celebration. Great place. Great atmosphere. Awesome staff. Would definitely go back.

Yelp
Came here after a friends recommended it 3 times. Felt like a sea of tourist and nothing to authentic about here

Jennifer M.

Yelp
Was a pretty good meal! I'd say we preferred the casserole over the cottage pie! Wish there was more of a gravy on the pie
google avatar

Terri C.

Yelp
This was the 2nd pub dinner we had in Dublin. The ambience was energetic with good vibe. There was a musician entertaining us with songs from the 80's. I wasn't too hungry so I only ordered a side of soda bread which ended up being stale. Having eyed my Guinness beef stew last night, hubby ordered this tonight. The beef was so tender! There was a lot of beef in the dish but it was all completely gone! Bottom line: get the Guinness beef stew; skip the soda bread.

Yelp
Drinks: 5/5 Service: 4/5 Cleanliness: 4/5 Decor & Style: 5/5 The Old Storehouse is a very lively pub to hang out in the middle of Dubby. Good music, lots of beer, and a very fun environment. I recommend anyone to come here if they are touristing Dublin. When it gets crowded service will slow down as expected. I came here twice during my stay in Dublin, once in a non-busy relaxed time, and once in the evening. Both are recommended! One of my fav. pubs here. I did not try the food though so I can't rate the food! In fact, I just realized I've only drank while in Dublin (lol).

Yelp
There are so many places to go in Dublin. You could be there 6 months and not have been to them all. It is always hard to choose. The Old Storefront Bar is not only a great time, the food is wonderful. It is a beautiful older building in Temple Bar. There are 3 floors (2.5 really). Live music is played almost nightly and one floor has TVs for games etc. There is more than one bar. There are many places to choose from when grabbing a table. The restrooms are on the bottom floor, if I recall. The service is wonderful and as is typical of Ireland, kind and simply sweet. They go out of their way to make you happy, be you a tourist or a local. We just love this place. The Irish Stew and the Bangers and Mash are some of the best we have ever had. Also, they have a salmon dish that is just perfection. If you want great burgers they have that as well. You can spend a little or quite a bit depending on what you order. There is something for everyone. You will love this place.

Patty M.

Yelp
Loved our time in Ireland and dinner there! Can't wait to go back again! Highly recommend

Yelp
Delicious! One of our favorite restaurants we went to in Dublin. Wish I had pics. I recommend the fish and chips and the wings. Wow!! Just bring your appetite.

Yelp
This place was INCREDIBLE! Came here for my first night in Dublin, and I couldn't have asked for a better place to be introduced to the vibe of this city. Got seated upstairs for dinner and ordered the cottage pie, seafood chowder, and haddock and chips. Everything was excellent, especially the haddock (perfectly fried) and pie (came with a side of deliciously sweet carrots too). As we were on our way out, a woman standing right next to us just started to dance to the live musicians, which was such a fun thing to experience!

Yelp
The Old Storehouse was an amazing Irish pub experience. I was looking for another pub for dinner for my last night in Dublin, and the Old Storehouse came up when I was looking online. From the outside it does look like another normal pub which was perfectly fine with me, we were at the door at around 5 and were seated immediately. The Old Storehouse already had plenty of customers but it wasn't too loud or crowded. One of the bartenders directed us towards where the restaurant section was, and all of the bartenders and servers were incredibly friendly and helpful. I ordered the Cottage Pie and it was delicious. At first I thought it would be too small just from looking at it (also because I was super hungry at the time), but don't worry it was very heavy and filling, and exactly what I was looking for. The mashed potatoes on top were cooked perfectly, not too buttery, and just a little crispy. The meat filling was delicious and so were the vegetables though I only noticed peas and onions with the beef. Halfway through our meal the live music performance began, and the Old Storehouse has live music every night. The performer was a guitar player playing covers of Irish songs and it definitely contributed greatly to the atmosphere and made our meal even more enjoyable. The Old Storehouse was my favorite pub in Dublin so far, everything from the food to the service to the music was top notch and I plan on visiting again next time I am in the city.

Yelp
On our first day in Dublin, my sister wanted to eat lunch in the Temple Bar area of Dublin. Had read great things about The Old Storehouse and so glad we decided to eat here. We split The Traditional Beef and Guinness Casserole. It was plenty for the both of us to share, and it was absolutely delicious. Probably my favorite meal in all of Ireland.
google avatar

Ezgi I.

Yelp
Good meal! I would've given it 5 stars, but my friend didn't love her fish and chips like I loved mine. We ordered the fish and chips and the Irish beef stew. I loved the stew, though it was heavy, and was full midway through eating it. She said her meal was a bit greasy and heavy, but enjoyed it nonetheless. The prices were fair, portions huge, and service was good and fast. Would recommend.

Yelp
Stumbled across this wonderful pub on our first night in Ireland and it was wonderful! It feels like a true Irish bar with live Irish music 7 days a week. The Guinness casserole with beef and mushrooms was amazing! The meat was tender and the mashed potatoes on top were delicious. The service was also amazing. Our waiter gave us great service and recommendations on where else we should go during our stay. If you find yourself in Dublin make sure to stop here for a beer and live music at the very least !
