Loved my stay here! The location is perfect, right in the centre, so everything is easy to get to. The room was spacious and the bed super comfy, which made for a good night's sleep. Parking was a big plus, and being able to leave the car after checkout was really handy. The staff were fantastic, friendly and always happy to help. Check-in and checkout were quick and stress free. I'd definitely recommend this place and will happily stay again!

We stayed in a connected three bedroom apartment that was spacious and well equipped with a kitchen and laundry facilities. The location was great, about a 10-minute walk to the CBD (Woolies) and close to the pier. Being able to reserve a parking spot on-site was a big plus, as many CBD hotels only offer valet or street parking. The heritage woolstore building adds charm, though ground floor rooms can feel a bit cold and lack natural light. We did experience some noise from kids running in the room above, but the reception staff were friendly and helped us resolve the issue. Overall, the rooms were clean and comfortable and we would recommend staying here as the value is great compared to other hotels in the city.

Spacious 2 bedroom apartment with 1.5 bathrooms on the ground floor. Very comfortable and clean. I was a bit concerned by the sirens of ambulances (hospital is nearby) but that seemed to quieten down at night. Walking distance to the CBD shops, waterfront, Salamanca markets and the Botanic Gardens. Parking available, but it must be booked in advance as the car park seemed full each night I was there. Buffet breakfast excellent. I booked through Qantas Holidays.

Decent place to stay. Rooms are spacious but I did have a shower with terrible pressure. The gym is small but if you’re looking for a treadmill and rower, it’s more than enough. Staff were great and full of local knowledge. Location was perfect walking distance to Salamanca and CBD.

I recently stayed three nights at the Old Woolstore Apartment Hotel in Hobart. I had a twin room, that had two king size beds! I wasn't expecting this. Very comfortable beds, with plenty of room for storing of clothes. Large bathroom, and the shower was huge, with a rain shower head. Lovely bathroom accessories, with a bonus hair dryer. Tea and coffee making facilities were good Handy location near the port, as we had come off a cruise ship. Staff very helpful and respondent prior to booking. Upon arrival Reception staff were excellent, professional and helpful. Kylie let us split and pay the cost of the room. We had happy hour in the Baaa Bar that had a great selection of Tasmanian gins. Highly recommend as it is only a 5–15-minute walk to the city centre or the cafes along the pier. Skybus stops outside and the information centre is a 5-minute walk.

Stayed here for a night. It was a 'staycation' as we live in North Hobart! Quite a small room with only one double window which was, unfortunately, quite dirty. A good range of seating options, all quite comfy. Had room service dinner which came promptly and was quite nice. Still hot even though it had to come down an extremely long corridor....Bed was a bit too bouncy but still slept ok. In the morning had to contact reception due to being unable to get anything but cold water for the shower. Apparently this is the fault of the extremely long corridor and you have to run it for ages to get the hot. Sigh. Breakfast buffet was excellent although lacked proper barista coffee (machine press button coffee only).

We had an excellent stay at The Old Woolstore in Hobart. The location is perfect—walking distance to the waterfront, Salamanca, and plenty of great restaurants and cafes. The building itself has so much charm and history, but the rooms are modern, spacious, and very comfortable. Everything was spotlessly clean, well-equipped, and quiet, making it easy to relax after a day of exploring. The staff were incredibly welcoming and helpful, always going the extra mile to make sure our stay was enjoyable. Parking was convenient, and the on-site facilities (including the bar and restaurant) were fantastic. Overall, The Old Woolstore offers the perfect mix of character, comfort, and convenience. I would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Hobart and will definitely stay again.

We stayed 3 nights with our friends. We had the best experience here. Service was 5 star, friendly, helpful and nothing was too much trouble. The one bedroom apartments were very roomy and including washing machine and dryer. So handy for travellers. The restaurant with Rob the chef produced absolutely first class food. So much so that we ate there every night! The food was delicious and we highly recommend eating there. Thank you for a wonderful stay and we highly recommend staying and eating here.

Yelp
I thought I'd checked into hospital when I rocked up to my room at The Woolstore. This place was dire. Lino floors in the bathroom, a weird little TV attached to the wall in the bedroom. The bed was so hard it reminded my of a night in my youth when I curled up on the pavement to have a little nap - I am pretty sure I had a better night's sleep back then. The curtain was sheer and I had to put a blanket up to block out the street light, then the morning sunlight. The whole place just made me depressed. It was awful. I could not wait to get the hell out of there. I wished I'd had a stilnox on me so I could knock myself out. Sadly I didn't and woke up on average once an hour until I finally got up and hauled @ss outta there to the Henry Jones Art Hotel for breakfast where I tried to erase the memories of the previous night with their gorgeous buffet. I was in a one bedroom apartment and I don't know if other rooms are better, I expect not. For the same money you can stay at the Grand Chancellor and there are so many other options in the area. Henry Jones Art Hotel and Davey Zero Serviced Apartments to name two. This place gives sheep a bad name. Avoid. L

Yelp
One thing I must say The Old Whoolstore is in a great location. Close to the dock, the market on the weekend, shops and restaurants. Would I stay here again....probably? Likes: - Location - Communal washer and dryer for a small fee - Really good breakfast (includes tea/coffee, fresh pastries, cheese, meat, pastries, etc...) - Gym, small but efficient - Parking, if you can find a spot....if not the staff if very helpful in finding a spot - Shower is good - Friendly staff Dislikes: - Room is blah....lacks decor - 2, full beds to = 1 king is a bit weird but I noticed this in other hotels throughout AUS. Maybe it's a common thing here? Overall I liked the hotel but if I were to come back to Hobart I would do some research into other hotels.

Yelp
Handy location with a short walk to the docks, salamanca etc. The studio apartment is ok, nice albeit small bathroom, large TV and wardrobe. Unfortunately I think bed may be made of bricks.. 2 nights into a 3 night stay and I can't really feel my back and I don't think I've had longer than 2 hours solid sleep without tossing and turning.

Yelp
Pretty standard fare when it comes to 3 star hotels, average rooms and clean. They have a massive parking lot out the back so it might suit people who are starting their trip off by car as we were. We didn't try any of the food offerings on site, but they have a tiny gym. It's a good location, less than 5 minutes walk to the dock so good place to stay if you are just looking at sleeping here - not an experience. Free WiFi which was good to see. No noise through the walls, despite being a full house which was also good for a night's sleep.

Yelp
Centrally located and spacious the Old Woolstore apartments is a great place to stay for families visiting Hobart. The 2 bedroom is large in layout and it's only a 5 minute walk down to Constitution Dock. Some of the decor a little outdated and this is not 5 star luxury but it's functional and clean. Will definitely stay there again when we return to Hobart.
