The Olde Heritage Tavern

I thought we would love this place and found it on Google maps. Unfortunately, we were disappointed. The chili was excellent! The clam chowder was very good. The wings were OK, and the pretzel was not good at all. They must have microwaved it before they served it to us because it was very tough even hard to break off a piece. We were seated out back and told to sit anywhere we’d like. There were people who came in after us and had a different server who were being served before us. Took a while for our server to come out and take our drink order so the host decided to do it for her. Then we were skipped over for our food order, and another server took it for our waitress. A little chaotic with the service.

Love coming back to this classic pub! Never disappoints when looking for pub fare! We were in a mood for wings and a burger, ended up getting the clam chowder (perfect!), chicken wing special (50 cents each on football days!!! And classic, delicious wings!) and a burger and fries. So satisfying!! And my boyfriend swears the Stella, bc of their special tap is the best tasting around. Lastly, even though you wouldn’t expect from a pub, their cocktail list is creative and really good!! Service is always so friendly and efficient. I’ve been coming here for 20 years plus and it’s like going back home every time!

We were 2 couples there for an early dinner prior to going to the Naumkeag Pumpkin Festival. We arrived a little after 4pm. The bar was crowded; the restaurant had a lot of people sitting at tables but also, there were several open tables. We were on a schedule so did not waste any time ordering our meals. We didn't even order appetizers or desserts. After dinner, we paid our bill and as my friend and I were getting up to use the restrooms (leaving the husbands waiting for us to return), the hostess came up to us and asked if we would please leave the table as she had a party of 7 men who were waiting for that table. Seriously? She could not give us a few minutes to use the restroom and gather our belongings together before being pushed out? Its not like we were sitting around wasting time. When I asked the hostess why she was rushing us out, she said that our table was the only one that could accommodate 7 people and the men wanted to sit down and eat! So our husbands got up and waited for us outside..... There was no "thank you" or any kind of apology for rushing us out...just a brusque attitude. I doubt we would ever return based on the way we were treated at the end of the meal.

I’ve tried to give Heritage the benefit of the doubt for years. I’m in the Berkshires every year for work at a local theatre and have come here multiple times. And every single time, I’ve been ignored—completely—from the moment I sit down to the moment I leave. I’m Black, and after this many identical experiences, it’s impossible not to call out what it feels like: I am not treated like a welcome customer in this establishment. This last visit sealed it. My friend watched as the staff ignored me at every turn. Half my food never came, no one checked on me, I couldn’t even order a second drink without my friend stepping in, and I was still forgotten after asking for the check. This wasn’t bad service. This was a clear pattern. And it’s the same treatment I’ve received here for years. If you’re a person of color, don’t waste your time or your money. There are plenty of places in the Berkshires that don’t make you feel invisible. Heritage has shown me repeatedly who and what they value—and it’s not us. I came home in tears after today's experience. This is an establishment I will never again visit.

Beautiful environment. Beautiful people. Also, the food is slay. Definitely recommend trying the specials. Can’t go wrong.

came here for breakfast and it was so nice. after a long drive, this was a great place to stop and eat and enjoy the atmosphere which was a great mix of cozy and chill. I got the cheese omelet and an Arnold Palmer - the staff is nice and the parking is pretty good

The food was delicious, and the service was warm and attentive without being intrusive. The atmosphere was fantastic, and the staff were genuinely friendly. After dinner, we sat at the bar and had a great time with the karaoke—everything felt lively and seamless, thanks to the friendly crowd and staff.

If you are looking for a casual meal in a fun pub filled with locals, this is the place to be!! The staff is so amazing, especially Jade, our server, and Tom our bartender! Shout out to Gabe, a good young man who is the best at clean up duty!! We enjoyed the special of the night, Chicken Broccoli Alfredo and Grilled Peaches and Arugula Salad with Chicken--both were yummy! And don't forget to try the Steel Rail beer which is local from Deerfield--very tasty. This tavern had a really good vibe, and the place was hoppin on a Tuesday night. There was a little wait to sit outside in the wonderful weather, but it was worth it. The wings are absolutely delicious which could merit a 5 Star. Unfortunately, I was not as much of a fan of the chicken tenders shared which would get 2 stars but maybe it was a bad night. They knew I didn't like them and actually took them off the bill without asking so that was a positive effort on their part. The fries were outstanding too, so overall, it was an enjoyable experience, including the service provided. Knowing how to treat customers like that will always make me want to come back. Drinks were just what you hope for too. Nice place, give it a visit.

I think my first visit may have been 50+ years ago. It has changed since then, mostly for the better. Outdoor shaded seating. A contemporary menu. Still friendly attentive service. I had an awesome salmon BLT wrap. Five stars for that. Decent drink offerings, including a choice of NA beers. Lots of restaurant choices in the central Berkshires. You should make this one of yours.

Thick juicy 10 oz burgers. Service was a bit slow, during busy times. we didn't even get napkins, when the food came n I took the 1st bite n was a bit messy. I had to get up n get my own napkins. Curly fries were very nice n crispy

Cool place to go and listen to music and have bar food! Salad with pecans and arugula was fresh and delicious. The cheeseburger was pretty good, the burger was a little too thick for me, but most people would have loved that. Reasonable prices

Favorite restaurant in town and surrounding areas. Burgers are a 10 out of 10, and have yet to have a meal that disappointed. Wings and regular fries are delicious. Staff is always friendly and accommodating. Prices are affordable and they have a great speciality drink menu.

If you want good food, go to the heritage house. The food is delicious. My first choice of everything the wings. And the onion soup the hamburgers are out of this world.

One of my favorite local places to go. Amazing owners who are truly invested in the business and the community. Open all year lor lunch and dinner. If you've not been, you're missing out.

Food was very generous portions and hearty (as well as very good tasting) - we went on a busy Sunday (NFL) but still had good service. It did take a little while to snag a table so if you're in a rush, Sunday might not be the best day for this place.

Always great food and service. If your a peer person this if the place for you. Great burgers and the best wings around.

Our first time here, great atmosphere, the service is top tier! We only ordered appetizers and drinks, but really that's all we needed to be impressed with our visit here. The Blueberry Blaster drink and Junkyard are delicious. We are out of towners, but will definitely be back. We also ordered the Clam Chowder and Hot Wing soup. 10/10.

I had French toast for breakfast. Good thing I ordered home fries because they served me one piece of bread! The menu said 3 pieces of Texas style toast! Definitely not Texas style and definitely not 3 pieces . Come on people. It's white bread. One slice of white bread for $7? Nah Service was great

Located in a cool town in Lenox, Massachusetts, Olde Heritage Tavern certainly did not disappoint. We Started our meal with Spinach and Artichoke dip as an appetizer. It was so delicious, perfect spinach to artichoke ratio and the chips made from scratch just made it 10 times better. Then I moved on to their French Onion soup which was perfectly seasoned; the onions were nicely caramelized. Definitely one of the best French onion soup I've had in a while. Lastly, I got their Salmon BLT Wrap with a side of coleslaw, which was unique and tasted finger-licking good. The only thing I'll critique here in my meal today is that the salmon and coleslaw lacked flavor. Other than that I would certainly eat here at the Heritage Tavern again, it is worth a try!

We were at Olde Heritage during the Sunday NFL afternoon games during "leaf peeping" season. These two factors mean it is going to be BUSY. However, we didn't anticipate how badly it would impact our dining experience. The food, pricing, and atmosphere was superb. The reason for the 3 stars and not higher was due to the service we received during our visit. It took us over 20m to be seated, which was understandable given the leaf peepers and NFL rush. However, what I cannot look away from was the lack of attentiveness of the staff or the understaffing for such a busy time of the year, especially on an NFL Sunday. The initial wait when we were seated was over 10 minutes, which wasn't out of the ordinary given how busy the servers were. However, we were frequently asking and requesting things multiple times before we actually got them: beers, refills, ranch/sauce for the wings/carrots/celery, ketchup for fries, etc. I would be willing to give the place another shot given the food was very well done and it was reasonably priced. I'm not sure if this kind of experience is out of the norm or business as usual... but it was enough to leave a less-than-ideal taste in our mouths despite being on a very relaxed vacation. If you are looking for a place that serves higher quality or "dolled-up" tavern/bar food, this is your place. However, depending on when you go I would be wary of the potential for a long wait and/or a less than attentive server if they are understaffed or have too many tables to cover.

Wonderful menu and great staff. Outdoor dining experience perfect. Great beer and wine. Particularly delicious was the jalapeño chicken soup! Zippy but not excessively spicy.

I've never had such a delicious salmon dish from a tavern before. The size of the piece of fish was generous and the white bean medley flavorful. Honestly, I usually have low expectations for salmon from a tavern, thinking it will be bland...but I highly recommend this! Service was great and they let us have our dog on the patio.

This is an interesting review.... Thank you Robert Kraft, owner of the Patriots! We went to Lenox MA and walked into Olde Heritage Tavern. Once seated we were told that all drinks and food were free all day because Mr Kraft met his wife there and got married two days ago. What a cool thing to do!!! Oh, the food? It was great. We had wings and steak, onion and cheese grinders. You get a choice of wings. We had the Buffalo ones. Good size wings and tasty too. The steak grinders were tasty and the rolls were soft and a good choice for the grinders we had. Again, great gesture and we won't forget the experience. PS I hope they win todays game (10-3 at half time-phew)! Lol

Stopped for a late lunch with the family. Definitely a sports bar vibe but family friendly enough. The service was attentive and friendly although they were quite busy when we got there. Quality pub food.

Visited the Heritage for a cocktail and an appetizer. Delicious cocktails, less expensive than other places. Chicken tenders were clearly house-made, not frozen from some mega-corp. Server was very friendly and attentive. We sat outside and enjoyed people watching. There's a reason the Heritage has been around forever.

If your looking for a place where the locals go, this place is it. We had to wait 45 minutes for a table but think about it, it's a Friday night during primetime and the wait for us was worth it. Our server was great. You could tell she's been there a while because she knew when to come by and ask us if we need anything. She was wonderful. We had the dry rub chicken wings, clam chowder and the grilled peach and arugula salad. All we delicious. The place is loud but remember, it's a tavern. The cost was more than reasonable and if we are in the area again, we would come back.

Went downhill the last few years ,Use too be consistent and better five years ago it's changed thru the years .....

I want to give a higher score because service was pretty great, but the food was lacking. Sorely lacking. It tasted okay for what it was, but so much filler was used!!! The nachos were huge but basically just tortilla chips with cheese and a couple of black beans, three shreds of lettuce and some tomato pieces thrown in. The black bean wrap was 90% rice with maybe a dozen black beans. Fries are fried to within an inch of their life. Quesadilla had possibly four small chunks of chicken. Overall a disappointing experience.

I would give them 3.5 if I could but you can't. Service is worth 4 stars there are nice, attentive enough but not amazing. It's a typical tavern, small and dimly lit. They have a front and back patio. The hot wing soup is amazing and I highly recommended, and the heritage wing were fantastic. Now the mozzarella were horrible and knocked a 4 star review to a 3 star view skip these.

My girlfriend and I both got sandwiches with mozzarella sticks and were absolutely stuffed afterwards. The jalapeño mayo on BLT made for one of the best meals I've had in a while. My only complaint is that the food came out a little too hot, especially the mozzarella sticks, but if that's all there is wrong you know it's good.

I was in the area for work this past Saturday. The weather was muggy, wet and cloudy and this spot was pretty packed. It definitely gives you "cheers" vibes. Everyone knows eachother in there. The bartender was kind and quick. Their prices are great. I had a buffalo chicken wrap and paired it with a jack and coke. :)

Today we went to old heritage tavern for lunch. The food was quite delicious and came out relatively fast. However this place service was not great. We first had to wait a bit to get seated and then once we were seated we had to wait a while to get a waiter to take our order. Then once we had our food we never were checked on by our waiter. Finally we finish and had to wait a while for our bill. So besides the service it was an enjoyable meal.

Always great service. A good local spot for Lenox. Good brunch/lunch/dinner spot. Staff and owners are wonderful.

Nice spot to grab a drink and have a couple of appetizers. We had their warm pretzel with honey mustard and a cup of their clam chowder. Everything was good and hit the spot.

Lively atmosphere! Great mix of locals and visitors. Staff was friendly and service excellent. It's the type of place where by the end of your meal you've made friends with the folks at the table next to you.

We went for a burger and football game and really glad we did!!!Managed to get a couple seats at the bar and the young man that served us was really nice.We had a long trip in the rain and this was a great end to the day :) Thank you ! I've had bad service before but olde heritage is in a class by itself for indifference.

I came in to a packed restaurant, sat at the worst table (only one available). Waitress sensed that I was just there to eat and leave. She took good care of me. My food came out fairly quickly and everything tasted fine. Nice place!

3 stars for food after many many visits. But for the street side seating that allows you to people watch and enjoy the fresh Berkshire air, a 5. Very few places to grab a simple, reasonable bite. Drinks are strong and cheap. Always fun to meet other happy folk out at the huge wooden communal table. The salads topped with Salmon is a great choice.

This was definitely a local hang out...which is a plus! The server was quick and our food was brought to us in a timely manner and so delicious. Granted it was just a burger and fries but they were done correctly and were very good. Definitely recommend!

Probably the worst service I've ever experienced. And when the tip reflected the horrible service, which I brought to the attention to the hostess, the restaurant tried to sneak an increased tip to the bill. Disputing with the credit card company as restaurant did not adjust when called. Do not go here.

Visited during the COVID era and had an overall great experience. We were seated at a covered table on their back patio (which was great since it was pouring and we stayed totally dry). The wait staff was really nice and available to answer all questions. There were a few struggles with missing pieces of orders and slower service, but nothing that impacted the meal too drastically. There is a robust drink list on tap (in addition to cocktails), and we were amazed by the low prices of all the drinks. We tried their mozzarella bites for the table, and honestly I think we should switch over all appetizers from sticks to bites. The bites allow for the delicious crisp everywhere and prevent the inevitable stringy hot cheese that you can never get a good bite of. Their nachos were a little dry/overcooked but still enjoyable. Their regular burgers were great and surprisingly the garden burger was also really tasty - a challenge at a 'traditional American restaurant.' All of the fries (yes, we had sweet potato, curly, and regular) were amazing, but the curly fries are stand out. Also to note: they let us keep our dog with us outside while we ate as well, which was a nice convenience. We used 'the 20% off our meal' yelp checkin offer which made already reasonable prices even better.

Average food. Good service. Ok ambiance. Would not recommend the hummus plate but the curly fries are really good.

Exactly as the name says. Old Tavern. Very comfortable and at home vibe. Burgers were great,service very attentive,our drinks were never emptygreat bar menu, food was on point!

We drove through and around Lenox looking for a parking space. We couldn't get any where near the restaurant. We ended up going to Lee where we had no trouble finding parking.

Rocking chair, decent food, nice wine glass, but SLOW service. Oh boy. It's Saturday and they have only one girl working outside. We were thinking to go to Cork n' Hearth again didn't want to spend a lot of time, so picked this one. Many restaurants close after 2:30 in Lenox, even on Saturday. Oh well.

This place was great! A local watering hole with sports on tv. The clam chowdah was absolutely delicious and I also enjoyed the Buffalo chicken salad. Would definitely return here!

My Untapped app lead me here in search of a beer that I yet to try. The food was good and reasonably priced. The tented front patio was comfortable on a beautiful October Sunday. Authentic bar scene inside the Tavern raises concerns about Covid possibilities, especially very tight restrooms.

The Olde Heritage Tavern was recommended by the clerk at the hotel I was staying at and I was excited to try a local unique tavern for lunch. I sat at the bar and ordered a cheeseburger. The burger was huge, but everything went downhill from there. The burger was delivered way undercooked (see picture). I asked for pepper-jack cheese but it was made with cheddar. The service was atrocious and non-existent. My tea was never refilled. Nobody asked how I was doing or if I needed anything. Keep in mind that I was sitting at the bar, not some corner table in the back of the joint. Finally, I had to ask for my check. I was concerned after taking some bites of the undercooked burger that I was going to get sick from eating raw meat. I won't be back.

Olde Heritage Tavern is the kind of place I would hang out at at home. It's welcoming and enjoyable. A good pub menu with friendly staff and a quality drink menu. I stop in whenever I'm in the Berkshires.

I ordered to go so this review is off of that. I got a grilled chicken sandwich with fries. The chicken was good with the grilled flavor. The fries were homemade style and good. They gave me a side of Mayo and some plastic utensils, napkins and ketchup. The inside and outdoor patio looked packed so I am glad I ordered out. The person bringing my order was very friendly. I would definitely stop by again when it's slower. My pictures doesn't look like it's good but it definitely
