The Olivar Suites

We visited this gorgeous little heaven in early October. The weather was still warm and sunny to enjoy the beach. The thoughtful layout of the accommodation, the quality of interior and the scented gardens were all breathtaking. The private beach was very well organized and looked after, and the sun-beds were so comfortable! After sunset, we enjoyed our quiet stroll in the gardens with amazing smell of herbs and serene lighting, so calming and relaxing. The restaurant food was simply delicious and beautifully presented every time. We specially enjoyed the tasty steaks, which were perfectly cooked, various salads as well as their homemade sourdough with the top notch olive oil from Corfu.Also the breakfast was fantastic with so many options, definitely one of the best we had in five star hotels. Most of all, the staff were truly kind. We had our 1year old toddler and they were genuinely friendly to him and accommodating the whole time! We enjoyed our stay so much and felt welcomed, we even extended our stay for more nights. And we are already planning to come back next year too :-)

We stayed here in the second week of October – the weather was perfect. From the moment we arrived, everything felt just right. The staff were super attentive but never intrusive, and we were welcomed with a bottle of wine and a fruit platter. Breakfast was amazing – my personal highlight was the truffle cheese & avocado, along with candied almonds and honestly the best pancakes I’ve ever had! The room was stylish, spotless and even had a hair straightener plus vegan and sustainable amenities, which I really appreciated. We had our own private pool, which made the stay extra special. The bar and pool area are gorgeous, with a stunning view. The property is full of beautiful, old olive trees, which make the surroundings feel magical. And the cute little cats around the hotel just melted my heart. This place has it all – comfort, style, amazing food and the best atmosphere. Truly one of the best hotel experiences we’ve ever had. 🌿✨

Myself, my husband and our 19 month old recently stayed at The Olivar Suites for a week and I can honestly say, it was the best hotel we have ever stayed in. When we arrived, we were greeted by friendly staff with welcome drinks and a very smooth check-in process. We had booked an executive suite but we were upgraded to an Ionian suite and all I can say is WOW! The suite we had was amazing - we had suite 401 which was so close to all the facilities (pool, bar & restaurant). We had our own pool but also a lovely big garden and direct, private access to the beach via a gate at the end of the garden, with our own sunbeds/cabana. This was perfect for us with a young child because we were never far from the room for naps, nappy changes etc but still able to enjoy the beach, sea and pool. The hotel uses an app where you can book spa treatments, order food and drink to your sunbeds or room and make restaurants reservations. You can also whatsapp the reception which is so helpful! The hotel is stunning and spotless, everything is so clean and the rooms are so well equipped - there isn't anything they haven't thought of. Food and drink is also top quality, there wasn't anything that we ate or drank during the week that we didn't like. They also have a kids menu with a great choice of food and desserts for little ones and little people toiletries in the room too, which was so lovely. We loved our stay so much, we already can't wait to go back next year! Thank you to everyone at The Olivar Suites for making our stay so enjoyable.

My second visit and can say everything was as perfect as last time. Maybe better, because we all needed just to ‘fly and flop’ and so noticed more than ever the high level of service, accommodation and amenities that made us instantly relax and feel at home. The suites are spotless, and their neutral, tasteful colour scheme adds to the restful feeling. Enormous showers with non slip tiling, luxurious thick towels and luxurious amenities. Loved the private patio and pool, although we spent most of the time on the beach, on comfortable lounge chairs under massive umbrellas right by the water. Still warm in early October! No need to worry about food and drink - staff bring ice water as soon as you arrive, and with a buzzer on the umbrella stand they come to take your order for other drinks, snacks or lunch. |We dined at nearby tavernas, although the hotel restaurant looked divine. We were there every morning for the amazing breakfast - all the fruit, juices, breads, meats and cheeses you could possibly want, plus a cooked to order breakfast. I discovered Corfiot pancakes - small rounds topped with a variety of items. I chose the ground almonds with maple syrup. Slept well in comfortable bed with lovely sheets. We’ll be back again - this is truly a 5-star experience and we left feeling pampered and relaxed.

Unreal, perfect from the moment we arrived to the moment we left. Room - clean, comfortable and stylish with excellent housekeeping/turn down. We bought ourselves the room's speaker because it was such good sound quality! Location - You'll need to venture out of Messonghi if you want to do anything besides the hotel visit but the Olivar Suites itself an oasis. Beach - plenty of loungers, staff are always on hand with quick service and bring you a few weeks surprises as you chill out. Spa - couples massage was enjoyable. Reception - super helpful with all our queries, great for advice on what to do with your time on the island too. Food - wow, I'd return just for the food alone. Make sure you go at least half board. Overall - 5*, no doubt. One of the best places I've been.

My partner booked it for us so I had no expectations coming in, but very soon I realised Olivar does thing really well. I love how understated yet extremely fine everything was. The decor, lighting outside and inside the room (major extra points for those intuitive switches and how they will turn on/off gradually!), choice of furnitures, are all seem very well-thought. Service was amazing. The breakfast with a la carte choice + buffet were close to perfect. There are tavernas and shops as well nearby. Luxury hotels sometimes can feel too over the top, but here everything is perfectly in the right portion and rather very well done.

A beautiful hotel, very stylish, peaceful with amazing service from a very professional team. Food was excellent, drinks at the beachside bar were huge and delicious! Plenty of choice for breakfast and it was all very tasty. Our suite was clean, well equipped, great bathroom essentials, private pool was fabulous and best of all we had private, direct access onto the beach. We would definitely return.

The Olivar Suites is a beautiful hotel, in a very lovely location. We booked this hotel as we needed some much needed rest and relaxation after a challenging year. There was an initial blip in that our room was nearby a neighbouring hotel which was playing very loud music, however after we were moved to a different room within the centre of the resort, we had no further issues. Without fail every member of staff at The Olivar Suites was exceedingly kind and helpful, from housekeeping and the grooms, reception and guest services, staff in the restaurant, bar and spa, and the manager. The room and all the grounds are beautifully designed, the room was spacious and comfortable and had everything we needed. The food in the restaurant is absolutely delicious, there’s a really great spread at breakfast with local delicacies and cooked to order dishes. The spa is a beautifully relaxing area and the therapists very skilled. Overall the staff at the hotel bent over backwards to ensure we enjoyed our stay, which we absolutely did - my husband and I felt thoroughly taken care of and really able to relax. This is a wonderful hotel and we very much look forward to returning next year.
