We had a date night at Olive Tree and I wish we dined there sooner! Highly recommended! Great ambience and amazing service, the staff was very friendly and jovial.
The food and drinks were delicious. We started off with a lovely Reisling which I'd highly recommend if you are looking for a delicate and fresh wine. I got the Mushroom Risotto and my husband got the Carbonara, we also got a starter plate of fish and chips to share. For dessert, we got the Flan and the Tiramisu Martini.

A fantastic Restaurant in Limerick city. The staff were all very friendly and quite attentive even though they were extremely busy. We ate outside which allowed us to bring our dog as well (on a lead) The Pizza was great and the price was also reasonable. We had too much food but they gave us a takeaway box as well to have the rest later. Something all restaurants should start offering! This spot is definitely recommended.

Had a booking for Valentine’s Day and it was a set menu for €45. Ordered the chorizo croquettes to start which when they arrived were cold in the centre. I sent them back to the kitchen and another portion was prepared. I ordered the pork belly for main, which when it arrived was accompanied by cold rice. We ultimately decided to leave, only paying for the starters we’d eaten and our drinks. Won’t be returning.

Lovely venue but didn’t have a great experience. Restaurant not overly busy and we were left waiting 10 minutes before we were seated. Got the steak which was €34 and advertised as rib eye. Was cold when it got to the table and tasted more like sirloin than rib eye - very tough! Corn bread was fab. Service not great. The two waiters looked quite stressed even though the restaurant wasn't that busy and we had to try and call someone to ask for a second drink. €100 for two steaks and three drinks, left waiting to be seated and service not great. Maybe we just caught them on a bad night (Munster match on so maybe there was an early rush?) but don’t think I’d go back.

First and last time customers. Husband and I went there for Valentine's weekend. Got an Aperol spritz that tasted flat and off so sent it back after one sip. They were fine to offer a new drink instead, lovely. Shared a starter which was gorgeous. I suspected the sweet potato was microwaved but everything else tasted fresh. The mains were a huge let down. Husband ordered rare ribeye which was blue. Never seen him struggle with a steak. I ordered chef bang bang chicken. Menu said veg, rice, chicken with chef's special sauce. Little to no veg if you exclude two large bulk choy stalks. Dish was clearly microwaved as chicken was hard and tough to cut and sauce was scalding. Way too much sauce, rice was nearly floating in it. My local Chinese takeaway would have been fresher and they put more veg in it for only around 10 euros- Olive Tree Restaurant charged over 19 euros. Pavalova was just stiff meringue but the canoli was nice with an espresso. Such a let down with the mains.
I have no idea who our server was as we seemed to have 3 at one point. So we were asked about ordering drinks twice, ordering food twice and desserts twice, not to mention the numerous times we were asked if we were okay. If it was one server, it would have been great service but it was hard to hold a conversation going being constantly interrupted. On Valentine's weekend no less. Very annoying.
I overheard that it used to be Rossi's which I remember being to once. Completely forgot about it because it was a one and done as well. Same ownership but rebranded- still disappointing.

As someone who has food allergies (nuts & shellfish), the staff at The Olive Tree went above and beyond! I've never felt as safe eating out. The manager/waiter spent time with me going through each item on the menu in detail (all volunteered by them, I didn't ask them to) and reassured me each time a dish arrived. On top of their incredible diligence, the food was excellent, setting lovely and cosy. 5 star service and food. Highly, highly recommended.
