THE ONE Executive Suites managed by Kempinski - Shanghai

This was my second time staying here and I enjoy it. The staff is attentive and they have good english capabilities if you are a foreigner. The area is great, with many shops, coffee shops, and restaurants nearby. I would say it is a 10-15 minute pleasant walk to the nearest metro station. The rooms are spacious, stunning bathrooms, and clean. There is a washer/dryer in the rooms. Highly recommend and I will be staying here next time I am in Shanghai.

Visited in late August when the weather was very warm. The hotel is tucked away in a quiet corner off Nanjing Road West, so it feels calm while still being pretty convenient. Taikoo Hui mall and the West Nanjing Road subway station are just a 5–10 minute walk, and you can reach the start of East Nanjing Road’s walking street in about 15–20 minutes. There’s even a 7-11 right outside plus a few small local restaurants. The room we had (for two adults) was a decent size and came with a kitchenette, dining table, and a separate bedroom area that you could close off with a sliding door — nice for a bit of privacy. That said, the décor felt a little dated, and the AC could only be set down to 24°C, which wasn’t ideal given the summer heat. Overall, this was my first time back in Shanghai in over a decade, and while I personally think there are livelier areas to stay in, I was still pretty happy (good value) with our stay here.

The check-in experience exceeded expectations! The room was clean and cozy, the bedding was comfortable, and the sound insulation was good. The front desk service was enthusiastic and responsive. The breakfast options were diverse, the location was convenient, and the surrounding business district was complete. The cost-effectiveness was high, and I will choose again next time!

The hotel service was impeccable- the check-in and out were fast and efficient; and they acceded to our request for late check out without questions. The online concierge service via weixin was also very fast and responsive. One minor comment about the placing of the kitchen utensils - the spoons and forks were in a drawer just above the dustbin and the cups were placed in a drawer way too high up in the top cabinet. It would also be useful if the hotel could provide plates and washing liquid for utensils.

Room is comfortable and spacious. Free 1 round of soft drinks and beer in the fridge. Rain Showers have strong pressure and amenities have quality. Downside of hotel is there is 7-11 just beside but not 24hrs, and there is no more minimart nearby. The room fitted with washing machine but not laundry pods / detergent / powder, suggests hotel to consider providing small amt daily.

Room is spacious with sufficient amenities. There was a dining space, living space and also a work space in the bed room. Toilet was spacious, with a separate wardrobe that’s walk in. The cleanliness was 4/5 - as i could see stains on the toilet and bathroom which was bit icky. Bed was comfortable. Location was amazing, 5 mins drive to the central areas and landmarks. You could easily get taxis

Thank you so much for such a nice , cozy , romantic environment. We celebrated out wedding anniversary here. The hotel staff upgraded our room and made fantastic decorations there. Excellent option for a stay in downtown Shanghai. The staff is nice and very helpful. The restaurant is nice too. For a service-apartment option this is perfect ! It is well connected, few minutes from transportation and anyway using the local didi app will be a safe and affordable option.
