We stopped into the Ordinary Fellow on a quiet Sunday and found two seats at the bar. The space is massive and there were several places to sit with large or small groups. Their barrels are within eye sight inside and I imagine they likely give tours (or def should consider it).
We tried several wines but unfortunately didn't fall in love with any. We had also been to two previous wineries and had our favorites there, so maybe we entered with some unknown biases.
Only one person was working and for a while, all seemed well. Things took a turn when he injected himself and his viewpoints into a conversation my partner and another patron were having. Mind you, he wasn't asked for his opinion nor was he included in the conversation originally. Just a few minutes into the conversation, we were asked to leave - to the surprise of even the couple we were speaking with. There are def some topics that don't bode well with others, this wasn't religion, politics or money. It was the oddest thing ever.
As a business owner myself and someone who also grew up in my family's business, I was surprised and disappointed by his behavior.
