Another 5 Star Breakfast spot! The food was fresh and delicious. The service was perfect too. Our waitress was excellent, fast, friendly, and easy to work with. She went above and beyond for our special birthday girl. The pictures speak for themselves…Eat with your eyes people 😋

Google
Supported the Heroes Run today... Great Event. Followed that up with a nice time at breakfast with Famliy and a newly founded friend. Jenna took great care of our table - service was superb, on top of the food. (Decent prices too... so don't mind the short wait for a seat. 💕💜)

Google
I go here at 3-4 times a year. Every time it's the service has been good. The hostesses don't ignore you, the servers are quick to come to take your drink and food order. The food always tastes good and the portions are huge. We're always taking food back with us. The coffee is even good. Been here dozens of times and it's always hit. Would recommend to anyone. But if you're coming here on a Sunday, come before 11 because it gets really busy

Danielle Ibarra

Google
Service was great! Went on a Sunday, around 10 and the wait was 20 min. Didn't think it was too bad. Staff is very friendly! I had the Jose scramble and it was ehh. Eggs were mushy, almost looked undercooked, didn't have much flavor and could use more chorizo. The green chili sauce was yummy though! The person I was with had strawberry pancakes and bacon and it looked really good. I'd get that next time. Even though my meal wasn't that good, the service was so nice and the pancakes looked soo good, that I'd give it a 2nd chance.

Google
The Dutch baby takes 15-20 minutes to prepare, but it did not stands out compared to other branches I’ve visited. The service is fantastic though and super clean!

Google
I love going to the original pancake house for some delicious breakfast. Their green chili omelette is so delicious. I love their cheddar omelette with tons of hollandaise sauce. They make delicious fresh squeezed orange juice. Their potato hash and potato pancakes are also delicious. I am looking forward to trying their sweet pancakes and waffles some day!

Google
I usually never leave reviews because no one has ever provided good enough service to do so and I’m a general manager for a food business so leaving a bad one isn’t like me either but I’m so wowed today. The wait time for food to come to the table was 5 mins no exaggeration! The atmosphere is so positive! The food was hot and delicious ! I’m very happy with my experience here . :)

Mary Lynn J.

Yelp
Everything, absolutely everything, is delicious. The coffee, the sausage gravy, the home fries, the Dutch baby. You can't go wrong. The only issue with the place is that it is all windows and it is a bit cold inside. The staff is friendly and quick.

Liv B.

Yelp
Got takeout in AM from here with a friend. We were extremely excited to try The Original Pancake House because a name like that must have the best pancakes, if not, top 3. Well, they're not even top 20. He got pancakes with fruit and breakfast sides. I got regular pancakes and the Dutch baby. The Dutch baby isn't for me. It was my first time having it so I won't fault the restaurant for this opinion but I went back and forth between trying to determine if I think Dutch babies are enjoyable or not my thing. If you've never had one before, it is crispy on the edge, with like a crepe vibe to the top layer. Inside, it's an eggy custard concoction. Not for me. The pancakes were a damn shame. They were on the drier side. Fluffy and light did not have not one tenancy in this complex. When we first take them, they had an overwhelming baking soda taste. Yes, baking soda. I was disappointed. The cost of the order added to the disappointment. For the cost, you expect better.

Lizzy L.

Yelp
MMM SCRUMPTIOUS. Very nice service. One of our absolute favorite breaky spots that is hard to top. Very nice waitress and did amazing!

Patricia K.

Yelp
I was delighted this morning eating breakfast here. I ordered the corn beef hash egg platter $12.00 plus coffee $3.80. The entree came with two buttermilk pancakes. The food was hot, delicious and fresh. My server was top notch professional! So welcoming and friendly. I don't dine here often because of the price is above average but when I do I'm always happy. 5 STARS.

Gina D.

Yelp
The Original Pancake House has delicious pancakes and lots of other breakfast dishes including waffles, omelets, crepes and more. The green chile omelette is my absolute favorite, but it's not a regular breakfast for me because it's super high in calories. So good though and worth the once in a while splurge. Pancakes are fantastic and I don't eat bacon but everyone says theirs is the best. Come early to avoid waiting. One of my favorite breakfast places for sure.

Kumalah J.

Yelp
Overall, this place is pretty good. I went in on a weekend with a party of 3 quotes a 25 minute wait and was pretty spot on. They were still pretty filled up inside when we were seated so it took a hot minute before a server came to greet us. By the time we were wrapped up, the place was nearly empty. We ordered quite a bit of food, and overall it was good. The menu is much more à la carte than anything else, which wasn't that big of a deal but something to keep in mind. Overall we had a really good experience here and would go again

Kale B.

Yelp
Just perfect breakfast place. Huge pancakes and many flavors. Veggie omelette was also large and full of veggies. Highly recommend.

Aya E.

Yelp
I can say the service you get here is always a hit or miss. You can get an amazing server or an absolute terrible one. And don't get me started on the "management". They were extremely disrespectful and rude when we were just asking we can have another table cause they always try to cram me and my family into three tables. Which always ends up being extremely tight. The food I must say isn't bad. It's actually quite good if you know what to order. Personally my favorite is the corn beef hash, or if you would like something sweeter you can't go wrong with a Nutella crepe.

Greg M.

Yelp
Everything about this place was good. Got seated without a wait, served quickly and friendly, and the food was outstanding. Ordered the baked apple Pancake. They warn you that it takes about 20 minutes, but it is soooo good. Not only the apple cinnamon topping, but the bottom was a touch burnt which gave it a most excellent taste. Also had some of the best bacon ever. Inspired me to go home and make my own!

Doria W.

Yelp
My husband and I were not impressed with this place at all. Way to expensive for what you get. We will stick to Bob Evans or IHOP. The food was not impressive at all.

Ramon L.

Yelp
Breakfast is always delicious here very friendly atmosphere great people great service so much to choose from the French toast was so good our new breakfast spot from now on lol

Randy N.

Yelp
Been ordering here for few yrs today was first time in 2024 and ordered bacon for $9 and when my delivery came the bacon wasn't there nor was the holindase for my eggs Benedict the food the we get was ice cold. Called about the missing bacon we were charged for but didn't receive got laughed at and hung up on!

John Paul P.

Yelp
not sure why the hell we added a large party fee of 20% with a party of five. I payed 15 dollars for food and payed 23 after all the hidden fees. They ended up adding 30 percent to the total. also no refills what the fuck is that about. overall this place sucks.

Natalie P.

Yelp
This is a go to breakfast place. The bacon is just right. Everything is so good. I wish I would've took pictures. Service was fast and friendly.

Samantha F.

Yelp
My second time here. I was not satisfied nor was my mother. Pancakes taste like raw dough, crepes were wet and it just wasn't good. Our waiter seems like she was rushing us. We boxed up our food, paid and just left. I don't see myself returning.

Chelsea E.

Yelp
I've been here many times with my family as we are from Fairview. I currently reside in Columbus, but am back home often. This is a great option if in the area. They have many breakfast faves; omelettes, waffles, and of course...PANCAKES! I always find the service here to be quick, efficient and friendly! The place is usually always packed too. I've had times where I'm lucky and walk right in and other times where there is a huge wait. The waits tend to move fast since the tables turn quickly. I'd say they are no more than 25-30 mins. I tend to get waffles here, but have had pancakes too. All are definitey good! I've also had lots of the sides: potatoes, toast, fruit and bacon. I do tend to find their sides to be way too big. I got a side of Canadian bacon once and I swear it came with 8 slices. It's just too much and I feel bad wasting so much food. All in all, a solid place to get breakfast with a variety of options and great service. I'm sure I'll be back again soon!

Melissa J.

Yelp
Not to he confused with IHOP! We don't come here too often, typically too busy of a breakfast restaurant for us, but we are off today so why not. Great service, great food, that about sums it up...too much food but that's a good thing when it's delicious. I had the crab Benedict with potatoes and a side of pancakes; YES that was the order nothing extra ordered on my part. The crab was lump meat, no imitation with a fresh hollandaise with just the right amount of lemon. My husband had the pumpkin pant with fresh whipped cream, he ate it so fast I didn't get a chance to snap a picture. And did I mention the paper straws...nice and eco friendly!

Cory C.

Yelp
Come here with a big appetite, because they've got huge portions here! I've been here twice so far, and gotten pancakes with my meal both times - I don't think you should come here without ordering pancakes. They're so fluffy and delicious, especially with some butter smeared over the top. I also recommend paying extra to get a little bottle of real maple syrup (the default is artificial syrup). For my main entree, I got corned beef hash with scrambled eggs. I appreciate that they use fresh corned beef as opposed to canned, like many restaurants use. The proportion was a little off (a lot more beef than potato), but I shouldn't complain, from a value standpoint. I ended up taking some of the beef home and mixing it with my own hash browns. All in all it was really good, although I wish they used crispy hash browns instead of diced potatoes. I tried some of my brother's crab and shrimp omelette. It's artificial crab, which I think they should specify on the menu. The hollandaise on top was rich, tangy, and delicious. The toasted almonds on top were a nice touch too. This is a great place to go if you want a good, hearty breakfast.

Patti G.

Yelp
Excellent bacon. Excellent service. Giant portions. Coffee...well, you can get coffee elsewhere. Definitely try the omelettes, if you are hungry enough.

Mari W.

Yelp
Excellent food and service. Large portions. I got sausage and cheese omelette with blueberry pancakes.

Judy N.

Yelp
I give this one star because the service really was very good. I have been going here for an easy 10 years and I went November 1st 2023 it was horrible. I have always gotten the same thing over the years blueberry pancakes with a blueberry compote. I don't know where to start the blueberry compote was about seven hard blueberries in this purplish water, the blueberry pancakes themselves had hard blueberries, the pancake didn't have much flavor, not to mention the size of the pancake was half the size it's always been. And to top it off the bathroom was disgusting. I've heard that since the new owners took over the quality has plummeted and I do believe it now. Sad

Gee T.

Yelp
We had a party of 7 & were still seated in under 30 minutes. Our waitress was friendly & attentive. Our food arrived hot, fresh & quickly. I got pancakes, but 1/2 of our party ordered one of their many speciality waffles. I love the varied menu!

Anthony J.

Yelp
Ugh!!! It's so amazing here!! I came in today and was seen by Loral, who is fantastic and so nice. EVERY SINGLE TIME I come to The Original Pancake House, the service, the food, the experience is unparalleled. Thanks so much to Loral she really is the cherry on top!!

Thomas D.

Yelp
Awesome pancakes and bacon. Very good coffee and the server was very pleasant and efficient in taking our order and food was served quickly. Will definitely return to have breakfast here again.

Amaris K.

Yelp
Amazing good! The omelette s were so fluffy and perfect. The gluten free pancakes are incredible!!! Such a great restaurant!

Jpb T.

Yelp
A full order of bananas foster and strawberry pancakes will feed four kids and an adult. The toppings are great for kids. I ordered via Uber Eats on 11-24-21.

Deby R.

Yelp
We have been to the restaurant over the years and have always had great service and food, until today. This location is usually packed, not that many today. Service was terrible, only 1 person on the floor and she was very overwhelmed. Had to repeatedly ask for things, never got coffee refills and the food was marginal. They have changed hands and it is very evident, it sure I'll go back.

Sammi S.

Yelp
This is the place to go for breakfast. Each time I order from here, either dine in or take out, the food is incredible. Whenever my husband and I go, we order something new from the menu and are constantly surprised at the quality and flavors. Just when you think a meal can't be better than the last time, The Original Pancake House delivers. For dine in, the staff is friendly and the restaurant is very clean. For a breakfast place, they avoid the standard greasy coffee smell found in other breakfast spots and diners. I have not ordered a dish that I have not enjoyed yet, and usually my husband and I will order new different dishes to try. Come with an appetite because these dishes are very large but hold up very well for leftovers. For take out, an option we never considered because of the atmosphere prior to COVID, is only missing the friendly and kind staff. A few things to consider, this place gets packed because of the quality experience and food so be prepared to wait for a little while, but the staff is very diligent in turning tables for waiting patrons. If ordering an omelette, either be ready to share, take home left overs, or be ready to eat a delicious 6 egg omelette. Huge but absolutely magnificent. If you are still reading, may I suggest the Dutch Baby, with a side of bacon, and even just go for the hot coco.

Charity H.

Yelp
How the heck did I not know about Dutch babies before? I feel like I have been living a breakfast lie my entire life - like someone forgot to share the magical, eggy-sweet-puffy-mystery reason for even having breakfast. So far hubby, mom and I have been here a total of 5 times. I try little bites of their tasty dishes (GIANT seafood and meat omelets, thick-slabs of chewy, crispy-edged bacon, gluten free chocolate chip pancakes that were like soft fluffy pillows of goodness, seafood crepes, spinach and feta omelets) and the items I see going to other tables look giant, appetizing and unique - many a variety of eggs benedict and more omeletes and pancake options than you can shake a stick at... but I cannot bring myself to get anything other than their rich, hearty coffee and a dutch baby - every.damn.time! The taste of the butter and lemon and powdered sugar haunts my dreams and makes all their flat-griddled cousins seem inferior. Go, try other things if you must, but be sure someone at your table orders a dutch baby and is willing to share, even a small taste!

Addison C.

Yelp
There's Waffle House, ihop, Bob Evans, Cracker Barrel, and then whatever you wanna call this place. Food has no flavor. Then menu states "filled crepes" and they came out empty. Bacon was good though that's why this wasn't a 1 star.

Alisa A.

Yelp
Amazing the food is just wonderful 10/10 I would def Go again the waiter are good too

Ashley T.

Yelp
Super fast service. They said the wait would be an hour but I think it ended up being 30 minutes. All of the food was great and coffee was good too.

Sheena W.

Yelp
I was really craving biscuits and gravy so I decided to check this place out. The young lady who took my order was new, but she was very pleasant on the phone and let me order take-out since they weren't busy yet (normally no take-outs allowed on the weekends). Orders here are pretty large and well priced in my opinion because my $6 meal included six buttery bottom grilled biscuits and two cups of sausage gravy. Simple, but tasty. I would order this again! On another occasion I tried their breakfast Mexican burrito and this baby is large! I want to say the cost was around $10 and the burrito included toppings like salsa, sour cream and half an avocado. Taste wise it was just okay, no dance party for your mouth, more like something to stuff you for a Sunday afternoon coma while binging on Netflix. All in all, it's a decent affordable place that I would probably check out again. Just a heads up that it gets busy fast on weekends so you might have a wait if you come in during peak hours.

Rodney W.

Yelp
I stopped in to the Pancake House for breakfast yesterday. I've driven by it many times and noticed that it's always full. Upon arrival, I was promptly seated and I ordered orange juice and a veggie omelet. The waitress asked me if syrup was okay for my pancakes. I looked at her funny and she said, 'Pancakes come with your omelet.' I was a little surprised by that. A minute later, she delivered the orange juice, which I tasted. It had a lot of pulp in it and I actually don't like that. It was almost too thick to drink with a straw. A few minutes later, my veggie omelet arrived. It was huge! It was very tasty, loaded with veggies, and was very satisfying. I actually didn't finish it all. The pancakes that were served on the side came in a trio, were small, light, and fluffy. They tasted perfect! I loved the cakes. The only downside to the breakfast was the price. For my veggie omelet and orange juice, I paid over $14. I believe this was the most expensive breakfast I've ever eaten.

Rick O.

Yelp
Food is of top quality. Clean and efficient restaurant and service was good. Mostly breakfast food but some lunch entrees.

Elizabeth G.

Yelp
The best place to take the family for a great breakfast. Food is amazing and very filling.

Janan A.

Yelp
Went for brunch around 12pm. It wasn't too crowded, we had to wait about 5 minutes for a table. Hostess was very friendly. PROS: -we ordered coffee, apple waffles, blueberry pancakes, strawberry pancakes, scrabbled eggs, and the seafood omelette -coffee was fresh and hot -really enjoyed the seafood omelette, the hollandaise sauce is amazing! -all the pancakes and waffles were got and fresh, good flavor, nice toppings CONS- -a kids menu would be a nice addition to the menu -asked for milk with my coffee twice and never received it - a better variety of non pork alternatives would be appreciated Overall I enjoyed my visit and the food. I would definitely recommend coming here and I'll be returning for sure.

Adayna H.

Yelp
Haven't been here in two years, and boy has it gone downhill. Multiple parties who came in after us were seated before us. The hostesses had no clue about wait times or how to properly seat patrons. The waitress didn't check in us once after bringing us our meal. The breakfast scramble was disgusting, and I don't recommend ordering it unless you want raw onion and soggy eggs to be the main components. The waitress didn't bother asking if anything was wrong with my meal. The fresh squeezed orange juice and my biscuit were good. That was it. I don't anticipate returning.

Kayla B.

Yelp
While I wanted to love the Original Pancake House, I just wasn't impressed by my food - or the portions. The restaurant itself seems lovely, but I'll need to try something else if I ever come here again. PROS: -Presentation of food was great. Whomever was in the kitchen clearly wanted all of the food that made it to the table to look pretty. -Restaurant is in a good location for hitting up a lot of the other Westgate businesses. It's part of a long, multi-curved strip mall, so you can get breakfast then hit shopping - or do it the other way around - without having to move your car. -Restaurant has free Wi-Fi. Did not utilize this. -Despite coming on a Sunday early-afternoon with a slight wait, they were able to get me in relatively quickly. It was a very peaceful dining experience with my waitress checking in regularly, getting service/refills as necessary, and never having to wait too long for any "step" of the restaurant process. Food was served quickly, order was taken quickly, and check was taken care-of quickly. CONS: -I ordered a Nutella crepe and a single waffle. When I asked the waitress how filling these items were, she assured me that I wouldn't be able to finish if I ordered them both. I left the restaurant still feeling hungry - and I'm usually the person in my party who can't finish their ordered dish. -The Nutella Crepe wasn't good at all. Probably one of the worst I've ever tried. The crepe itself was light and fluffy and very egg-like. Perfect for a Savory-type of crepe. However, it has virtually no Nutella on it outside of a small dollop on the top of the rolling crepe. If you're not looking for sweet when you order a dessert-like crepe, that might be a good fit for you, but I was pretty disappointed. -The Cherry Waffle was very beautiful, and it tasted pretty good, but again, light on the "toppings" that were ordered with it. I expected something that claimed to be made with in-house-made cherry sauce to have a decent amount of the sauce on it.

Kim M.

Yelp
Was pleasantly surprised with our pancakes via delivery. I'm gluten-free and was shocked to see GF pancakes as an option. I ordered the seasonal, fresh strawberry and they were delicious. A treat if you haven't had pancakes in a while due to living a gluten-free lifestyle. Bacon was great, not skimpy or too wiggly or crunchy. My partner enjoyed his pancakes as well. Our daughter was having a morning (if you have littles you understand) and enjoyed the fresh orange juice, two bites of bacon, seven bites of toast, four required try/bites of egg, and four bites of pancake. We'd order again if in the area.

Brig M.

Yelp
The largest omelet of my life. Veggie-egg whites made it super fluffy. I had to box half of it for home. Definitely worth it!

Leslie A.

Yelp
Excellent experience today. Although my husband ordered the 49er and didn't care for them, plus they weren't cooked all the way. They remedied that quickly and his second choice, apple waffle was good. I had the bacon pancakes, which were yummy!! Our waitress, Lindsey, was awesome!! I would eat here again!

Nikki M.

Yelp
Lots of variety of breakfast combination to choose from. Service is always friendly and nice.

M R.

Yelp
I came, I saw, I ate and it was great. Omelettes the size of my face, home fries were the best I've tasted in forever and omg don't get me started on the pancakes with fresh strawberries, powdered sugar and whipped cream! Yum!!! I will be back.

Raquel G.

Yelp
I am such a fan of this establishment!! Though I get the same thing almost every time, chocolate chip waffle/pancakes and bacon, they are consistently delicious. And I love the whip cream that they use! The bacon is thick and flavorful. The chocolate chip waffles/pancakes are sweet and soft. I crave this place and sometimes even visit there alone. It's that good. The menu has so many different options from which to choose. The omelets are huge, and come with pancakes. The building is large and even if there is a wait, it isn't long. It's definitely worth waiting for! They also have a rewards punch card for weekdays only that'll earn you a free meal upon completion.

Karen K.

Yelp
Haven't been here in years....but always a great experience. I had Bacon waffle and extra side of bacon....asked for box before I even started to eat as knew I would only be able to eat 1/2 of it. Great service .We had the sweetest waitress...Jenna ...beautiful smile and her courtesy, friendliness, and willingness to serve was amazing. Every request was met with a smile and immediate attention. Place was super busy..great to see.

Ktothej J.

Yelp
First time eating here. Love the pancakes! Dimple delicious!! Huge portions. Ordered an omelete with buttermilk pancakes $12... Heaven! Only ate half and was full!

Julie C.

Yelp
This was our first visit and we loved it. Quick service and delicious pancakes. But the star of the show is the bacon, yummy My daughter had chocolate chip pancakes and I had the pecan pancakes with warm tropical syrup. Everything was delicious

Amanda S.

Yelp
I had heard so many good things about this place so my husband and I were excited to finally try it. We stopped in on a Sunday after church around 1:15 or so, and there was a little bit of a wait, but it was a gorgeous day out so we didn't mind. We waited maybe 15 mins and were seated and greeted by our server quickly. They had a large menu with a pretty good variety, so it was a little hard to make a decision. I wanted to try either the coconut waffle, or the Georgia pecan waffle, but the omelets looked so good that we decided to go with that instead. I ordered the seafood omelet that had a crab & shrimp mixture and was topped with hollandaise and spinach. My husband ordered the cheese and chorizo omelet. They both came with pancakes, which were nice and fluffy, and a good size for a side. I liked that the omelets were french rolled. It was different, unique, and well cooked. Our server was very efficient and quick, we didn't have to wait long for our food, and the price was reasonable. (Just under $21 for two people.) Both of our meals were good- not great, but good. The atmosphere wasn't really my style. It was pretty loud, which is obviously because they were so busy, and the dining room just had tons of tables and chairs that were a little cramped together. I understand it helps them get more people in and out, but I personally don't like being so close to another table that we're practically touching. All in all it wasn't a bad experience. They certainly didn't do poorly either in service or food quality. It just wasn't so amazing that we are dying to go back any time soon. Not a bad place, just not our favorite.
