I've just had a surprise 60th birthday lunch for my sister and the staff were so good at helping me keep the secret as she made the original booking for 4 people then I changed it to 12. During the actual meal, the staff were very attentive and nothing was any trouble. They helped make my sister's 60th very special and I can't recommend them highly enough. I will definitely be back for a more "less stressful" 😁 lunch in the near future. It is also dog friendly so that was very nice to see. 10/10

We stopped by for dinner and had our two dogs with us. Cosy atmosphere, dogs truly are more than welcome (they even have a dog menu :) and probably the nicest possible service on the entire planet. Food and drinks have been excellent. We will definitely stop by a second time before our vacation is over…

Ten years ago, my family and I stopped by on a whim while visiting Rosslyn Chapel. We were wowed by the food and have been talking about it ever since. On this recent trip to Scotland, we purpose planned our visit to this gem of a restaurant. The ambiance is wonderful, the food is delicious and it feels like home. You will not be disappointed. I had the steak pie, which had large and tender chunks of beef and a fantastic puff pastry on top. My wife had the fish & chips which was flakey and so yummy. Both came with French Fries (chips) and a veg. The food was as good as we remembered and we’ll be coming back the next time we’re here.

I had a fantastic break here. The food in the evening was fantastic, the room was beautiful and so comfortable. Unfortunately the breakfast was under cooked and un edible. Please change your breakfast chef.

We did not stay at the Inn overnight. We had lunch. The best steak pie I had on my entire trip! Extremely friendly staff, very clean, fantastic food. Wish I lived there so I could be a regular customer!

Didn't stay at the hotel but had bar bites and drinks. Reasonably priced with great service from Stewart behind the bar. The most dog friendly bar I've seen, though no canines present on our visit. Tasty food and decent drinks. Very relaxed ambience and decor, good whisky selection and plenty of outdoor seating. Well positioned opposite Rosslyn Chapel.

The restaurant was fairly busy but we were lucky enough to get a table. A varied choice on the menu with a section for vegans. I can highly recommend the Katsu curry, it was delicious 😋. A good quantity of food which was presented well. The young lady serving and young man behind the bar were excellent - courteous and an asset to the restaurant. We would definitely recommend and would love to return!

Yelp
Stopped in for a pint and a hot totty before seeing the chapel. Nice atmosphere, comfy seats, polite staff. They stopped serving food before we got there, so I can't comment on much. The hot totty was good, and they put the sugar to the side, which was nice.

Yelp
Disappointing family meal at the restaurant. Menu was not available as advertised on web page. Steak pie, beef was tough. Chicken dish was told had mushroom sauce when it came it was bone dry. When asking for the sauce, the chef sent us a beef gravy. Manager was rude and arrogant when we complained. I would suggest you take your hard earned money and spend it somewhere your business will be appreciate.

Yelp
The worst soup I've ever had. It was supposted to be vegetable but it was blended so I have no idea what it was. And the base tasted like liver, which I hate. Avoid this place.

Yelp
Proper cosy pub with a lived-in feel. Has a very well weighted gastro menu that doesn't feel overly fussy but is a huge cut above the usual 'pub grub'.
