The Originals Boutique, Villa Montpensier, Pau (Inter-Hotel)

This hotel have an excellent location (500m from Halles, 800m from center and 1200m from the railway station). Parking in the courtyard is a plus.||The welcome was pleasant, and the room and bathroom were spacious. The decoration could be modernised (a matter of taste), but this in no way detracts from the service. I would come back again.

One could qualify this hotel as an old style typically French hotel. The room was not big, rather dark with dark walls and dark red carpet. Can be fine if you have no allergy to dust. The bathroom was ok but getting out of the bathtub may be a serious difficulty for anybody slightly heavier or with limited mobility. A handle or similar support to facilitate to stand up and get out of the tub would be very helpful… As such, both the room and the bathroom deserve to be seriously refreshed. The lady at the reception was very nice and ready to help. The breakfast is fine, simple, but you do not leave hungry. Overall, this hotel is fine for an overnight and then to visit the city and the region. It is for sure no romantic, honeymoon place…

Stayed here two nights. Beds were very comfortable, the room was a good size(twin). Good breakfast. Staff could not be more helpful and provided an excellent service. Has off street parking and is an easy 5 min walk to the heart of Pau. The bathrooms have recently been redone and were very nice.

We did an overnight stop here on our way to Spain. It was clean, comfortable and really friendly. Breakfast was a simple buffet in the downstairs breakfast room, but we were offered eggs and bacon if we wanted. I don't know why it was so quiet (only s3 cars out front, 1st Saturday in July), but I'd definitely stay here again.

My wife said that this hotel has character. High ceilings in the spacious room, old-fashioned with a very nice garden, where one can have coffee of a drink. The location is O.K., about a 5-7 minute walk into town. The best thing, perhaps, is that the parking is free right in front of the hotel. The staff at reception was a bit cold, and we were told that our room would only be ready at 4:00 p.m., which seemed ridiculous to us, since it appeared that many rooms were not taken and the hotel was certainly not full. Still, it was a good choice for us.

Great place with good value. We had a pleasant stay, parking is easy to access, rooms are clean and hotel is close to Pau center (5mn walk). Due to current sanitary situation, breakfast could not be served.

We only stayed one night on our way home from our holiday,it was ok! Did not have time for breakfast so can't comment on that ,the rooms were a bit dated, but as we say it's French! Lol,location and parking was great ,we found it ok with a sat nav, may be different if you did not have one,no bar to have a six o'clock drink!!! ,would we stay again?? One night was fine

Perhaps a little old fashioned in decor, but with off road parking outside the front.||All the staff were very cheerful and helpful.||Our room was large , and the bed confortable, though with no kettle or tea/coffee facilities||Breakfast was adequate.||Our room was at the back and very quiet, so a good sleep.||The hotel is only a short walk to the town, which is very convenient. The town itself is a charming place.
