The Outpost Casual Dine In / Take Out

Service was nice, the environment was nice. The food was not good to me. I got the fried chicken, Mac n cheese, Lima beans and a side of okra. The fried chicken was pretty good. The lima beans were not seasoned at all..the mac n cheese didn’t have any flavor…almost taste store bought from the frozen section..the okra okay..I decided to get the apple cobbler for dessert and it was HORRIBLE (pictured) and the way it looked didn’t help either . I prob won’t try this place again.. unfortunately.

GARBAGE!!!!!!!! I give them negative (-) 1000 stars!!!!! 👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎 Their phone is not working! Do not order this “food”. We threw this garbage away! As a last resort we tried Ketchup, didn’t work. Hush puppies the size of a ping pong ball, misrepresentation in the photos. Phone number didn’t work! 24 years in the Army and have had MRE’s that taste 100000% better! Money wasted! DO NOT give this place your business!! Honestly worst food I have ever ”tried” to eat in 12 years!! Go to McDonalds, at least there you know what to expect… an absolute abomination to the restaurant industry!!!

After doomscrolling for a place to eat I came across The Outpost Restaurant and let me tell you, Food was fantastic, our server was very friendly, the booths are very comfy, 100% recommend taking your families or friends here for a bite to eat!! Prices were very good as well

Was there around 2:00 pm. The okra tasted like it was cooked in old chicken oil, the mashed potatoes had a light brown film on the top where it had sat for a long time, the country fried steak was dry and parts hard but the center was cook as well as the white gravy was good. They do not have butter for rolls but the roll wasn't hot enough to melt butter anyway. The two workers were nice and polite. Lastly, there were a bunch of flies in the cooking and dining areas. There was a flyswatter on the top of the trashcan. We like to try little diners on the back roads, but definitely will not be eating here again!!

review Tucked away in a new fancy Legacy Travel Station, you will find a lovely sister restaurant to the Outpost, now their only location other than their food truck. Located North of the Enterprise circle on 167, this place is a one stop need to satisfy your cravings, I stopped in to try out their burger before my long drive home. It was made to order, seasoned perfectly, and carefully crafted. (Not like a fast food chain where it’s an assembly line burger) Overall it’s a great destination to add to your route, to get some good food and meet some friendly faces.

This place is top notch and offers a variety of good damn food! Food that comes from the heart and warms the soul! The owners have poured so much love,dedication and energy into what they have built and it sure doesn’t go unnoticed when you walk in, order and indulge. So thankful for the gem in our town! Go visit them,you will not be disappointed I promise! ❤️

So sad. My first order there. I spent $50 for pick-up. Got there and asked for extra tatar sauce on the side for my fish sandwiches. They flat out said "NO". We won't do that. Too bad. I was willing to pay for it. They didn't care.

This is so awesome to have a really good food place on the edge of town. I stopped on a whim late evening and they still had some delicious poppy seed chicken. It was scrumptious! Just one comment to add, we did see some of the flies so I may suggest to management getting those small fly fans that a lot of the restaurant's down at the beach have on outside tables to keep the flies away.
