"Meal with a View Enjoy some of the best views of Oaxaca city while you dine on local specialties such as tlayudas and parrilladas. Come for breakfast, lunch, dinner, or just for drinks. It’s open from 8 a.m. to 2 a.m., and the view is great any time of day. El Mirador is mostly popular among locals and you won't find many tourists, probably because it can be a bit difficult to find. From the parking lot at the lookout point on the hill, there are steps leading down. You won't see a sign until you're near the bottom of the steps, where you’ll find the entrance to the restaurant. I’ve found the food and service to be variable, but the prices are good and the view is exceptional."

They were very helpful with helping make a surprise Bday 🎂 dinner reservations for my Queen a month ahead from the United States to Oaxaca. The dinner and severice were exceptional. Would so love to come again. Thank you all.

The restaurant boasts a pleasant ambiance with stunning views. During our lunch visit, we ordered Tlayudas, but unfortunately, they fell short of our expectations. Both Tlayudas were overcooked and burnt. The radish was dry, and the guacamole was merely passable. On a positive note, the green smoothie was quite enjoyable. 🌮🥑🍹

Went here for early dinner around 5pm, there were only a few customers, the food prices are a little on the high side but food was really good and the view was amazing.

Cold potatoes in old oil. the steak is very thin. hard as a sole. The papaya shake was with pieces. this place is not tasty at all. iron chairs on the balcony, no pillows. cheap, old cutlery. The only good thing is the view from the balcony. I do not recommend it.

We really enjoyed our meal and drinks here. We ordered quite a few different cocktails, and they had the ingredients for everything. The Parrillada Mirador was more than enough food for 3 people. The view was sensational, I wish I had also seen it during the day, but it's very pretty at night too. It was a little difficult to get to by foot, I would recommend getting a taxi.

Great views! Chilaquiles were OK, and reasonably priced. Dinner menu looked much pricier. Was kind of tough to find, but mainly because the location was pinned wrong (should be fixed now but if you’re still lost, it’s by a light-green shaped M, or more of a rectangle arch right off the highway and next to what looks like a bus stop).

We had a late lunch here. The view is absolutely amazing and our waiter Ricardo took are of us very well. By the way he is English speaking should that be an advantage to you. Had snacks and a couple of beers. Decided to bring family over for Christmas Day.
