I had a nice experience with my family when we had lunch here. Seafood doesn’t get any fresher than this. The prices are very reasonable especially the fish n chips at just £7.50 for two reasonably sized pieces of fish and a nice side of fries which are crispy. The oysters is one of their best and highlight of the menu along with the lobster. It tasted so fresh and refreshing, especially on a nice winter’s day. The fish and lobster soup are really good too; I could really taste the fish’s flavour and the lobster, not so much but still really nice to drink. The scallops were excellent as well.

We had a nice experience at The Oyster Shed, the service was quick and efficient. The products were super fresh, although their cooking was slightly disappointing: a bit of a lack of taste and character. I am used to French oysters. For people like me, beware that oysters here are meaty and creamy, less salty and iodized than the French ones. And they are super big!! Also beware that there is no toilet on the site. And bring a good jacket: you’ll be eating outside, it can get quite chilly!

The very popular seafood shed. We went there at around 2pm on Tuesday in the mid September and there were still a long queue. The food was nice and the portion was decent, which came with loads of chips. The oysters were amazing. The king prawn was tasty and not overly garlicky. The battered haddock and soft shell crab were crunchy but not too greasy. However the car park was a bit small and you might not get a place to park.

After visiting the Talisker Whisky Distillery, we stumbled upon this quaint seafood spot just a two-minute drive away. Despite the heavy rain and biting wind that day, we decided to brave the weather and check it out – and we’re so glad we did! The place is simple, with a makeshift outdoor seating area. Although it provides some shelter from the wind and rain, occasional gusts and drizzles still made their way in. However, the warm hospitality of the young host and the incredible quality of the seafood more than made up for it. We ordered every seafood option available that day and were blown away by the freshness and flavor. What stood out the most was the price – just £1 for a langoustine! For us, traveling from London, this was unbelievable value. Sitting there, surrounded by the raw beauty of the coastline, we felt an authentic connection to the local life. This visit left a deep impression on all of us. If you ever get the chance, I highly recommend visiting – perhaps on a day with better weather so you can fully enjoy the views of the coast, the sea, and the mountains. Truly an unforgettable experience!

Had late lunch around 2pm . There’s a queue to the cashier where you order your food , we had cold lobster 🦞, (would prefer it hot , didn’t know the lobster is in cold temperatures) salmon and scallop was fresh and hot which we really like 👍🏻 chips was thick cut. Oysters was fresh .

Seafood doesn't getter fresher than this. Very decent price especielly on the lobsters. The smoked salmon was a killer too and the scallops were delicious. Bring your own white wine if you wanna drink as they don't sell wine there but otherwise the perfect place. Simple, quick, fresh. No table service, everything is packed as takeaway, but you go for the food.

We got here just before closing and were welcomed by a friendly bloke. We ordered 3 oysters and he quickly prepped them for us. They were fresh and prepared really well. All we added was the lemon wedge provided but there were sauces available. The oysters were delicious. It was the first time for 2 of us and we instantly regretted only getting 1 each! Highly recommend. Parking area isn’t huge and when we drove past earlier in the day it was really busy. We can totally see why! Definitely worth stopping by if you can.

No frills seafood shop with wholesale options. Be prepared to walk up to the shed from the town below as there is no parking at the top. Worth the walk for the lobster and oysters. When your done trot on down to Talisker's brewery for some Scottish whiskey. This is a must visit for foodies taking a tour around the Isle of Skye.
