The Pad Thai Shop

A great find. A short walk out of Kata. Maybe 10 minutes. A proper Thai restaurant. Old school. So busy and not surprised. The food is excellent. Service is quick. And the prices are what you would expect in a local restaurant. Very cheap. Highly recommended.

It was only 10 months ago away from our hotel. I have to admit, it was the best pad Thai I’ve ever eaten. Cheap and so delicious, also very clean place. People are also very friendly and talkative.

Best pad Thai indeed. Shopkeepers were hyper vigilant to each customers needs. Lots of seasonings and chilli to go with the food. Will be back if I return to Phuket. Great vibes if you can deal with the heat.

If you go there, don’t think is a restaurant. They sell authentic food and not always you can find what they have as they sell only high quality fresh local food, so they choose to go seasonal. We’ve got 2 chicken pad Thai and 2 Coke Zero and we spent just 160bath Cheap but very recommended because in 7 days of phuket we finally found an authentic pad Thai. Very nice place!

Authentic Thai street stir fry shop with freshly cooked noodles and rice. We tried the shrimp pad Thai and Gai pad krapow. The service was friendly and efficient but both dishes were a bit disappointing in terms of flavor. Maybe it's not to out liking, and maybe pork goes better with pad krapow (no pork available). Ppl recommend the beef noodles which looked good but we didn't order. The watermelon juice and Thai milk tea was pretty good though. Price is also very affordable coming up to 200 baht for 2 dishes and 2 drinks. Environment was pretty run down though. Mosquitos are running rampant, must dine with mosquito repellent.

I had lunch here every day after discovering it. The food is amazing —my top recommendations are the prawn pad Thai and the beef soup. The prices are very reasonable, and the service is exceptional. It’s super welcoming and foreigner-friendly. The staff also speaks English and Chinese. They even come around to the tables to recommend which spices pair best with each dish—perfect for clueless foreigners like me! It's a family-owned restaurant, and you can feel the warmth and authentic Thai culture in everything they do. Clean, delicious, and a truly wonderful experience—don’t miss this spot!

Excellent food! The pad Thai is good, but the real star of the show is the noodle soup with braised beef. Also, they have free broth that is super fragrant and peppery.
