The Paddington

Situated on Oxford Street, this is a great pub/restaurant. There is a happy hour but you have to drink in the bar area to get the cheaper prices. The servings are quite large with the half serving of chicken and duck easily feed 2 people. The schnitzel was yummy but suggest to get fries with it if you want potatoes with your meal. It isn’t cheap but the food is great and the service is friendly and helpful.

Heart warming food. A wide range to choose from. Make sure to order the chicken. The place is welcoming, and hosts are friendly. The vibe is upbeat and energetic.

I had two lovely meals there: the food was very well prepared with great ingredients. The service was solid. Sitting upstairs for a Sunday lunch, the volume and atmosphere was perfect. On Thursday night the noise was too high and we had trouble hearing each other, though the vibe was good.

From the moment I stepped inside, I could feel the magic in the air. The ambience was divine, every detail thoughtfully curated, and the drinks were absolute perfection—crafted with skill and flair. Food was on point, the duck was juicy, and pork was incredibly tasty and skin crispy. It is an amazing venue that truly delivers an unforgettable experience. Staff was so very warm and welcoming 🙏

It was my husband's birthday today, and we decided to stop by for a quick drink in the afternoon. We decided to book a table for dinner with our daughter, as it had been a while since we dined here. Opting to sit outside due to the pleasant weather, we were delighted by the amazing food. Personally, I thoroughly enjoyed my fish dish, and the service was top-notch. We look forward to returning soon!

The Sunday roast is always on point here, I had it now on several occasions and it definitely it’s the spot. The atmosphere is pumping and vibing. Definitely a must try 🤩

Great venue. It’s a shame the security guard at the door every weekend gives everyone at the door such a hard time. Nobody I know has ever had a pleasant experience with him. He interrogates people and just prevents your establishment from making money by turning them away. He turns people away for the fun of it.

We went to The Paddington with a party of five for Sunday dinner. I expected great things having read the online reviews and been in for a quick look. The decor is very cool and the atmosphere is excellent. However, the food was average at best. The roast pork was - literally - 80% fat and the swordfish steak was thin and fairly tasteless. The beef was ok but, like everything else, absolutely not worth the $45 price. The veggies were good and plentiful although the broccolini was undercooked. Also, the waitresses couldn’t seem to care less about us. The service was effective but perfunctory. Overall the meal was a big disappointment and definitely not worth the money. There are many other places in Paddington where you can get a better experience for the same price or less. Not recommended I’m afraid.
