OMG the Painted Desert is out of this world, if you said we were on Mars we wouldn’t have argued 🪐 We stopped at the Mt Batterbee lookout with its 360 views of the hills, and stopped to do the short walk. The colours were spectacular everywhere you looked, and we had an overcast day, with sun they would be even more spectacular . And it certainly made up for the journey through them 😳 Thank you Arckaringa Station for allowing us onto your land to experience this Check out @seagullsontherun for more pics and video footage

Absolutely felt out of this world! Sensational scenery. Prehistoric looking. The hills were much bigger and higher than any photos show. And that I thought. Allow for a whole day round trip from and to Coober Pedy. Take lots of water and food. Roads are definitely 4x4, rough corrugated creek beds. Need a backpack for water and food if you walk the trails and tracks. Worth the trip. Going back next year to explore more.
