Amazing service, food, and vibe. Chef Mike is amazing and leads a great kitchen. The food was delicious and savory. The drinks were made perfectly and complemented our food. The staff was just spectacular. Moe was our server, his personality was a breath of fresh air. All the staff are wonderful and made us feel special. That’s what a fine dining experience should be. Thank you to the whole staff.

🌟🌟🌟🌟 The Palm – SouthPark, Charlotte, NC Visited: Saturday, June 21, 2025 Guests of my dear friend & sharp-as-hell realtor Toni Karak from Better Homes & Gardens. 📍Located in the upscale SouthPark district From the moment we arrived, The Palm lived up to the buzz—and then some. Nestled in the posh heart of SouthPark, this iconic upscale steakhouse exudes polished elegance and Manhattan-worthy charm. It’s giving classic New York Italian steakhouse, but dipped in Southern hospitality and luxury. We kicked things off with a trio of apps that absolutely delivered: ✨ Crab Cakes – golden perfection on the outside, rich and moist inside with chunks of real crab—no filler nonsense here. ✨ House Meatball – tender, slow-simmered in a velvety marinara that tasted straight outta Nonna’s kitchen in Naples. ✨ Jumbo Shrimp Cocktail – chilled to the perfect bite, paired with a zesty cocktail sauce that had a clean horseradish snap. 🍽️ For mains, the flavors were straight fire: 🔥 Chicken Parm – a crispy cutlet blanketed in molten mozzarella and tangy sauce, no shortcuts, just layered, well-seasoned comfort on a plate. 🔥 12oz Cajun Filet Mignon (medium rare) – flawless sear, juicy center, and that kick of Cajun heat that lingers just right. This steak spoke. 🔥 Chilean Sea Bass – buttery, delicate, kissed with a glaze that balanced sweetness with umami. It practically melted on the fork. 🥃 The Old Fashioned Manhattan was a stunner. Strong but balanced, luxardo cherry floating like a crown jewel, stirred—not shaken—to slow perfection. The kind of cocktail that commands your attention and rewards your patience. 🎯 Service was top-tier. The staff? Polished, efficient, attentive—but never intrusive. Valet ran smoothly, and there’s clearly a rhythm to how this place operates. They know their clientele, and they deliver on every detail. 👠 Vibe check? Sophisticated, energetic, and full of that refined buzz you only find in restaurants where everyone knows they’re somewhere special. Smart casual to business casual attire, and trust me—you’ll want to dress the part. The Palm is more than just a steakhouse—it’s an experience. And in a city like Charlotte, it’s the kind of place that leaves an impression long after dessert. Already looking forward to my next visit. Response to Owner: Thank you for taking the time to read my review. This NYker will be back soon! #ThePalmCharlotte #SouthParkDining #CharlotteEats #UpscaleDining #FoodieFinds #SteakhouseGoals #ChileanSeaBass #FiletMignonPerfection #ChickenParmHeaven #CrabCakesDoneRight #OldFashionedCocktail #CharlotteFoodScene #FineDiningCharlotte #RestaurantReview #GirlsWhoEatWell #RealtorLifeCharlotte #DinnerWithAView #FoodieLife #5StarBites #SmartCasualVibes #ValetAndVino

This restaurant fulfilled everything I wanted, elegance, privacy, and slow food, but definitely what can be said that of many Charllote restaurants, this restaurant has 10/10 attention. Thank you The palm, I had an incredibly happy night

Google
I visit Charlotte twice a year and always go to The Palm at Phillips Place. Both the service and the food were always great until my visit on 11/22. As usual, we ordered calamari and Caesar’s salad to share while we sat at the bar. Service was excellent, however the calamari was both overcooked & very greasy. The Caesar’s salad dressing tasted like vinegar and couldn’t be eaten. I spoke with the manager and expressed our disappointment. While we appreciate that the salad was comped, we won’t be back. There are better restaurants within walking distance.

Google
Pretty good. I guess the 'history' of the place helps carry it along. Maybe I blew it by not getting steak. Middling. Cartoons of people on the walls. The service was great though. Mac was really good at keeping us filled up and happy without poking in too often. Its quiet enough to have great conversations over dinner.

Google
Thank you for making my mom’s birthday so special. Our server, Denitsa, was fabulous and went above and beyond. Joey, the manager, was attentive and outstanding. We had the calamari, clams with linguini, lobster, and salmon. Compliments to the chef- everything was excellent! If you haven’t been to The Palm in awhile- plan a visit soon. It’s worth it! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Google
I recently visited The Palm in Charlotte for lunch and was thoroughly impressed by the overall dining experience. The restaurant maintains an elegant and welcoming atmosphere, making it an excellent setting for both business and personal meals. I chose the prix fixe lunch menu, priced at $32, and was pleasantly surprised by the exceptional value. The quality of the food exceeded expectations — each course was thoughtfully prepared, well-presented. The service was attentive and professional throughout the meal. Staff members were knowledgeable, courteous, and ensured that every detail was handled smoothly. For a restaurant of this caliber, the prix fixe menu offers an outstanding balance of quality and affordability. I highly recommend The Palm in Charlotte for anyone seeking a refined dining experience at a surprisingly accessible price point.

I have been to the Palm in chicago and the Palm in charlotte was equally great in service and food. We were here for our wedding anniversary and the staff were awesome, attentive and sweet. Our food came on time and everything was great. Drinks were good as well. Overall lovely experience, nothing to complain against. Our dessert was on the house for our anniversary, which we appreciated. Thank you The Palm for a lovely experience, we will definitely be back.

Yelp
Recently treated my family to dinner at the The Palm and thoroughly enjoyed every course we ordered. Our steaks were cooked and seasoned perfectly, our sides were cooked perfectly and our waitress, Hazess was professional, helpful and prompt to deliver our meals. Even the restaurant manager, Joey, took the time to ensure everything was to satisfactory standards throughout our service. We were not disappointed to say least and I'm looking forward to dining at the Palm again. I highly recommend this restaurant to everyone and I will be dining at the Palm again!

Yelp
Did Take out from The Palm in Southpark. she specifically told me she would make sure that we had bread & butter with our dinner, and even went back into the kitchen to make sure. I appreciated her service and gave her an over 20% tip on take out. When I got home, there was not any in the bag. Why specifically tell me you are going to do something, and then not do it? A reminder of Joe Pesci's advice on take out. VERY DISAPPOINTING!

Yelp
A phenomenal experience. The lobster was magnificent. The ribeye was excellent The service was exemplary. The ambience was amazing. One of the best experiences we have ever had. Everyone should dine at The Palm at least once in their life

Yelp
I was there for a private function and service was horrible and food quality did not hold up to the high end restaurant standards in Charlotte. I had much better food in taste and quality at less expense places. Had appetizers, but only 4 and none were vegetable based and leaned more towards popular items for people with food allergies. The salads should have been served sooner and all together food took an hour to be served. Same size group at other restaurants were served is half of less time. Bread was hard like it had been warmed up and sitting out or reheated. Hard to cut with a standard knife. In looking at the steaks were tiny "tenderloins" that looked and tasted line Omaha steaks and more like sirloin than tenderloin and those who received them noted they were tough like sirloin medallions and not tenderloins. The chicken alfredo was a generous servicing but not any better or different than going to a local NY style pizza place that also has pasta dishes or even your franchise Italian restaurants. The dessert was good, tiramisu was very good but tasted like a dessert you'd by a a grocery store or club store. The best part was the waitresses that kept our drinks filled. Don't waste your time/money. Go to Golden Corral instead I hate to say and I don't like Golden Corral. I also don't normally write a bad review. Looks....high end/scale and like all should be top notch food/service.

Yelp
It's The Palm so it's going to be great. Almost always. Visit to the bar on a slow night was lackluster, just missing the attention from service - you shouldn't have to ask for a water refill at this proximity - and the food not quite nailing it. NY strip ordered Medium but came out Med Well (I'm not going to send back, but half wish I did) so meat was a bit over cooked. Hash browns were salty (and I felt it all night as I awoke to gulp down water). Asparagus was perfect: thick and perfectly grilled. So, good not great. Not a deal killer for me, but let's dial it in next time please.

Yelp
Steak & salmon is great yes but I dream of their potatoes . Birthday experience here with my husband was just lovely. But those potatoes I swear are done like no other.

Yelp
Exceptional service with great recommendations. Food was great, well seasoned and served hot. I enjoyed the ambiance of light music that didn't overwhelm table conversation. The staff was on point as everyone from the hostess who welcomed and seated us, to our waitress Celine- made sure we had a great dining experience and wanted nothing. Definitely going back.

Yelp
I made reservations for a party of six, upon arrival we still had to wait 15mins before being seated and there was absolutely no place to casually wait without getting in the way of servers or costumers leaving. I don't know if it's typical but the restaurant was extremely loud and we had to literally yell for our server to hear us. Speaking of our server, she was terrible and rude. She was clearly from another country so I don't know if there was a language/culture barrier but her table side manner was insulting. We have a friend who is sober but enjoys drinking non alcoholic wine, when asking about it discretely the server proceeded to speak loudly about it back to her. Some people don't want their sober journey broadcasted to an entire restaurant. Read the room. Our server took forever to take our orders & we had to pretty much beg for a dessert menu. The server keep insisting that our group share apps and our meal... which was odd. We didn't want to share our food girl?! Overall everyone really enjoyed our food and drinks we could definitely tell it was a quality, the service was just terrible and for that reason I won't return or recommend... there's too many great restaurants in the area to consider coming back.

Yelp
We visited The Palm in Vegas and really enjoyed so we were excited to hear about one being in Charlotte! Service was still professional and nice. The restaurants decor was unique with all of the different art work. Space was clean and provided lots of seating. The lobster bisque was alright 7/10, this one had more of a tomato taste to it than I remembered. The she crab soup was delish! (9/10) loved those big pieces of crab throughout. Fish time trying swordfish and was impressed! 8/10 even the corn salsa on the side was nice. Steak was perfectly cooked and the sauce on the side added a different flavor 8/10. We look forward to returning.

Yelp
Let me start off by shouting out our server, Krystal, she was not only extremely attentive, but also such a charming person. Thank you so much for making it a great experience! The food was phenomenal. I went in for my birthday, not realizing that the menu was à la carte, and Krystal (again thank you for being so patient) explained everything perfectly. I got the Wagyu Frites, which came with fried garlic parm fries, which were delicious and the steak was cooked perfectly. My partner got the Oso Bocco, it was tender, hearty, a rather large portion, and amazing. We shared the broccolini side, it was more than enough for the two of us, we even took some home. My partner also got their House Old Fashion, and said it was amazing, whereas I got their ginger beer with mint and it was perfectly refreshing. Their cheesecake was also delicious and not super cream-cheesy like a lot of run of the mill cheesecakes are. We would absolutely come again, all around a great experience.

Yelp
I came here for dinner with two friends for restaurant week. This was the first visit for all three of us. We had a reservation but still had to wait a while for our table. It is super awkward waiting because you standing right there by the door and the host table and all the people are coming and going so us and everyone else are in each others way. Once we were finally seated it took a bit to be given menus. Then we had to wait a while for the restaurant week menus. My friend wanted a mocktail but didn't see them on the menu but remembered seeing them online. She asked if they had mocktails and the answer was "yes". We had to ask what they were and our server wasn't really sure. It took forever to get drinks, forever to get our orders taken, forever for every single thing. Our server was nice but not knowledgeable or fast. All three of us thought the food was nothing more than average. Not worth the prices. Atmosphere is also not what I would expect from a place that has a higher price. This was a one and done for me.

Yelp
I tried this place for restaurant week. The restaurant is more formal. For restaurant week I got the house salad with house vinegarette. The salad was average but the dressing was delicious. They also give you a basket of assorted breads. For dinner I got chicken Parmesan. The chicken Parmesan covered almost an entire plate. It was too much for one person. Unfortunately, it tasted average. I got to pick on side and dessert. As a side dish I got the creamed spinach which was very good. My husband got fries which were good and crispy. For dessert I got tiramisu. Overall the service was great and the restaurant was nice but I think there's better restaurants in Charlotte.

Yelp
Good food, fun waiters , kinda pricey! Restaurant has some really cool history to it!! I had the ravioli and a lobster tail. pretty good.

Yelp
Had a birthday dinner that left me wanting. Our server was nice. We enjoyed a complimentary bread basket and chose to try the meatball appetizer. It was huge, flavourful and with sauce for us to dip our bread in. Hubby had fish with risotto which was great! I had a ribeye and wanted it black and blue. The server suggested having it chargrilled but that was mistake! Not sure if it was the steak itself or how it was grilled but it tasted like gas, with a weird after taste. I didn't want to complain so l just carried it home. Maybe we will try this place one more time and see if the experience is different.

Yelp
A cute upscale restaurant in Phillips Place! There's a lot of parking in the area which is nice, there's also valet. I loved the character drawings of the frequent customers on the wall. I think it added character and something different. It didn't come off as a stuffy steakhouse. As far as menu and food quality, I would say it's a little step down from a Mortons or Steak48. I had the Lobster Gnocchi. It was a large portion and a lot of Lobster. I definitely couldn't eat the whole thing in one sitting. As far as seafood pasta at steak restaurants go. It was good, but didn't wow me. I left feeling too full and felt a little sick later that night. I would order something different if I went back. When we sat down at our table we felt a little rushed by our server. We were constantly being checked on and weren't given a lot of time to look at the menu or try our food before they'd come back around. But then towards the end of the meal when it was time to pay, we couldn't find anyone to help! It was a cute date night spot. I would recommend trying it out. But it didn't become on of my favorites.

Yelp
My friend and I came here during Queens Feast (restaurant week). Overall, for the price of the standard menu, I would not return here. First we ordered a bottle of red wine to share. After waiting quite some time, the waitress brought out a bottle of Prosecco. When we reminded her of what we ordered, she said there had been an issue with the buttons on the system and went back to get our wine. It took about another 10 minutes to come back. For the special menu, we had the option to choose a starter, entree, side, and dessert. They also provide complimentary bread rolls and butter which were very good. I got the caprese salad to start and it was not anything special. After we finished our starters we waited a very long time and then the waitress showed up with our desserts. We let her know we hadn't gotten our meals yet. Shortly after, our steaks came out (6oz filets) and my friends was very undercooked (she ordered medium and it came out close to rare). While the steak wasn't bad, for the price of this place I was expecting something better. It had a strange seasoning taste to it. We had shared our sides so we upgraded to the lobster gnocchi for one of them (+$8 charge). The crumbles at the top were black from being burnt and there was only one tiny piece of lobster (smaller than a piece of gnocchi) in the whole dish. The texture of the gnocchi was very dry. Our desserts were pretty tasty. I ordered the zeppoles and my friend got the key lime pie. The manager did come out and apologized about the undercooked steak and gave us a complementary glass of wine (each). Overall, I was not impressed.

Yelp
I rarely do negative reviews of restaurants and normally vote with my credit card. Even so, I feel the need to express our disappointment with our last 3 experiences with the Palm. We are transplanted New Yorkers who enjoyed eating at The Palm and Palm 2 in Manhattan regularly. Our visits there were memorable and friends of ours ate there often enough that they had their pictures on the wall in both restaurants. When the Palm opened here in Charlotte we were excited to eat there and build new memories. We have tried most of the other prominent steakhouses in Charlotte but always felt that the Palm was the best and became our steakhouse of choice over the last 20+ years. We ate at the Palm in February, and even with a dining room reservation we were relegated to bar seating and our meals were so awful we had to send them back. We went there on our 50th Anniversary in May with our 2 daughters and their husbands as our guests. When I made a reservation, I noted that it was a special occasion. During that dinner there was no mention of our anniversary and the steaks were average. Our primary server paid little attention to us and was not what anyone would call friendly. Frankly, that was going to be our last try at your restaurant. Our best friends from NY, who we used to go to "the Palms" in NYC with, came to Charlotte to celebrate two of our 75th birthdays. When we arrived my friend joked with the Manager, Joey about having his pictures on the wall at the New York Palm and if he could he bring in some concrete with his picture on it so he could be on the wall in Charlotte. He was clearly joking but Joey, who is normally very happy and friendly, gave him a side eye and made a smart comment. Our waitress asked for our drink order and our friend ordered your signature "peachy" cocktail from the drink menu. She was told WE DON'T HAVE THAT and eventually settled on a dirty martini. Her husband ordered a diet coke, my wife ordered a dirty martini and I ordered a Stoli on the rocks. Our waitress came back 5 minutes later to tell me sorry we don't have Stoli. Huh? I ended up ordering a Grey Goose. When I finally got it, the vodka was on a full rocks glass of crushed ice and was watered down. Not a great start to be sure. We ordered our steaks and sides. The two half and halves (potatoes and onions) we ordered seemed to be a much smaller portion than in the past and same with the creamed spinach. Our steaks came...my wife's ribeye steak was in 2 pieces and my ribeye tasted good but was half grizzle and waste. Not the prime quality meat the Palm was known for in the past. We decided not to ruin our event and send anything back, or complain, as it truly was a special occasion for my wife and our guests. At the end of the meal the waitress brought out 2 deserts on a plate with candles which we appreciated and was very nice. Unfortunately, though, the overall experience was not a good one. Drink problems, Joey's surly attitude with our guests, steak problems and a waitress, both this time and last, that were far less attentive and of luxury restaurant quality like in the past. Sadly it looks like we will need to find a new "go to" steakhouse in the future.

Yelp
This was our first trip to The Palm since they were acquired by the Landry's restaurant group and since we got a gift card as a Christmas gift, it was time for another visit. My 2012 review was a well-deserved 5 stars and this one is equally well-deserved but even though the prices are still 5 star, the meal was an OK 3 star. On the positive side, the steaks were cooked perfectly and tasted very good so as the biggest ticket item of the night, that's a plus. Also the cocktails we ordered off their list were strong and tasty. On the less positive side the octopus app was fairly bland in flavor, the lobster bisque was thin and also lacked flavor. The bread that came to the table was just not fit for a restaurant at this price point. First it was cold and then was like an average loaf you'd get at Harris Teeter cut into slices. They give plenty of butter though so points for that I suppose. The service was kind of cold like the bread at first but seemed to warm up as the meal went on. Also, the whole sales pitch for what used to be the 837 Club and is now some Landry's based club is still not what you ever want to deal with on a night out, especially when you're dropping the kind of coin you spend at a place like The Palm.

Yelp
Married in 1961 wife & I often dined at The Palm on 2nd Avenue in New York City where we lived. We moved to CLT, NC in 1982 when not a decent upscale restaurant was yet located. We often drove to Atlanta. Naturally we were very happy to see the Palm open in CLT and Monte (at the time) was the general mgr. Ownership has changed but nothing in the way of high standards was ever sacrificed. Joey and his staff are the best. Never had a bad meal here. Merrel & Nikki

Yelp
Returned to an old faithful spot last night. Same rock star service. Same classic vibe. Same delicious dishes and a few new ones. Pics below aren't great but the food was. I'm still stuffed. Our waitress Amber was on point and our sweet waiter from Belarus regaled us with tales of his experiences to and in the U.S. while cracking lobster tail. So succulent...and that drawn butter tho! *drool* The meatball was impossibly fork tender and flavorful. Loved the big juicy piece of crab in the crab cake. No fooling around here. You won't miss the garlic in the garlic mashed potatoes either! It's just such a delightful, elegant place for solid upscale food. There's a reason it's been around so long. Top the meal off with the cheesecake if you have any room left. Determined to get my face on the wall one day.

Yelp
I recently hosted several corporate events for executive level leaders at the Charlotte location and had the pleasure of working with Erin and her team. Not only was she wonderful to work with during the planning stages, when I arrived onsite, every detail had been met with no exceptions. The space looked wonderful and it was a nice to have the adjacent patio available for my guests to enjoy as well. The guest of honor was so appreciative and could not stop saying how much he enjoyed both the food and venue. I host executive level events at fine dining restaurants all over the country and sadly it isn't often that I receive this level of client service. I appreciate Erin and team, and their willingness to go above and beyond.

Yelp
This restaurant is located in Phillip place. There's plenty of parking they also do valet. It is a chain restaurant that's located all across the United States. There are characters all over the wall where celebrities come inside I haven't been to this restaurant in a long time so it was nice to come back and visit however, the Service was horrible asking for basic things like a straw water. My waitress disappeared for a long period of time and then the person who is assisting her wasn't able to really assist we received no recommendations pertaining food no information about specials. The food was merely mediocre. I do not recommend or could be just this one situation of an isolated case, but I will probably not return to this restaurant. Good luck and I hope you enjoy.

Yelp
The restaurant is very beautiful. The food there is just very basic. They always offer a large amount though, I've been there maybe five times, tried shrimp, lobster, steak, burger, salad everything is just so so, definitely not worth the price. The service was decent.

Yelp
What a nice evening! There can be many new Steakhouses in Charlotte, but The Palm always delivers excellent customer service, wonderful food and a classic experience. We enjoyed our 23rd anniversary dinner at "The Palm" after leaving "Oak Steakhouse" due to dismal customer service, rude hostess and clients that looked like they belonged at a food truck instead of a nice restaurant. Thought we wanted to try a new place (Oak Steakhouse) but we were wrong. We love the warm, friendly ambience, white tablecloths and consistently delicious food at "The Palm." Perfect anniversary dinner!

Yelp
I came here the other evening for restaurant week and was very disappointed that I chose this place. Our server was so dry & abrupt. They did not ask us how we were doing, did not give us any recommendations on the food or tell us about any specials.. just passed us menus. I had to ask for the restaurant week menu . I asked for a recommendation on the sides & waiter acted annoyed by my question and said all our sides are good. The food was subpar, I don't really think we will be returning in the future. Customer service is important. . & it can make or break the experience. I was excited to come to this place but I left disappointed and just ready to go back home. Tyrek or Tyreek needs customer service training because I've never felt so unwelcome & like I was bothersom before by a server. & I found a review from last year that mentioned this particular server & how he was not friendly.. so it's not just me. Maybe the restaurant needs to look at who they are hiring because I won't come back.

Yelp
Hands down. HANDS DOWN!! The best meal I have ever had. It was restaurant week and we were here for a cheerleading tournament. We had reservations for a place called Steak 48 and we were told by the valet that we were not dressed appropriately. Fair enough we spent the whole day at the convention center and so we were dressed comfortably. Jules, my younger daughter and cheerleader, wanted a nice steak. The valet suggested The Palm and when we pulled up we weren't sure (my wife was wearing shoes with sequins). She asked the hostess if we could get in and she said she had to ask the manager because it was restaurant week and the place was packed. Joey, the GM, sauntered up and said "I could never say no to some pretty ladies." My wife and daughters blushed and we were seated immediately. We all ordered filet and the house sides and everything was incredible. I got a medium rare filet and everyone else got medium and the temp was perfect. I was so enamored with the atmosphere and the service, that I wanted to grab a photo with Joey the GM. And he didn't blink an eye when I asked. We had an amazing meal but also an incredible family experience. 10 stars. GO BIRDS!!!!

Yelp
There are so many good restaurants in southpark that this one is sort of a hidden gem. I made a reservation through opentable the morning of our dinner. We called to let them know we would be about 30 minutes late and they still held our reservation for us. It was a busy Friday night, but valet and the hostess were courteous and accommodating. Our server was Mohammed. They had a full wine list. My husband ordered a bottle of the Malbec and we started with the lobster ravioli. The ravioli was cooked in a spicy sauce that complimented it really well. Our entrees were the NY strip and center-cut filet (w/ blue cheese crust). Sides were the Mac and cheese and green beans. The Mac had bacon in it and the green beans had pancetta pieces in it. All the food was decadent. We were so full and had a great time. I definitely will return to try the other dishes.

Yelp
Decided to celebrate our early valentines day with dinner at The Palm. Had reservations made, and upon arrival, we were notified we had to wait a few to get seated. No biggie at all. We finally were sat and were immediately greeted by our server, Tony. He was very attentive throughout our whole dinner. He even let us know the kitchen was a little behind, so we should put our order in soon so we weren't kept waiting long. We ordered the fried calamari, which was DELICIOUS! We also ordered the 8oz ribeye steak, and it was the perfect amount to split between my husband and I. It was perfectly cooked and was DELICIOUS! Best tasting steak we have had in a while. We ordered the Mac and cheese and fries as our sides. Theac and cheese had a grill taste to it which I thought was weird but it was still delicious and the fries, OMG "Chefs kiss" they had just the right amount of crisp to it just how I like it. Overall, the best experience. The ambiance was expected, and everyone was super attentive and friendly. Will def. Be back for sure. Definelty recommend this restaurant for any special occasion or just in general. This is located in Phillips Place with complimentary valet parking or parking spaces at other shops around as well at the atla parking garage in the back.

My husband and I arrived early on Sunday and had great service from the greeting to our waitress. We ordered steaks - he got the ribeye and I got the filet. When both noted upon our first bite that the steaks tasted old like they were going bad. We returned them and the manager said she would replace them both. The au gratin potatoes were also cold in the middle. The server brought out new steaks and they also had the same bad taste.

Yelp
Where do I begin. I called The Palm after trying to book a last minute birthday dinner reservation for 12 to celebrate my husband (I had just had a baby and kind of forgot to plan something ) Tonya came to my rescue and said no problem. She was the real MVP! Upon arrival we were greeted politely a brought to our party - my husband didn't know I had invited others. Jasmine was our server and she went above and beyond to accommodate us. We even asked her to snap a photo and she channeled her inner photographer. She's such a gem. The bacon app was delicious as was the calamari (though the tomato sauce tasted fresh out of a can). I got the NY strip with lobster butter sauce cooked medium with a side of creamed spinach. Both were delicious. I will say, I got a spoonful of my cousins potatoes au gratin and it was divine! Don't skip that if you grab a side. Overall, we had a great experience at the palm and will be back. Thank you.

Yelp
Food and staff are always amazing here! Our favorites are Vodka Martinis, calamari and the 12 oz filet with truffle butter. Joey runs a great ship. We look forward to every visit.

Yelp
As a native Charlottean who has grown up here, Charlotte Restaurant week used to be about restaurants showcasing their hospitality and cuisine. It was a time for restaurant goers to branch out from their typical restaurant choices and explore the rich, diverse restaurant options in Charlotte. Our experience at The Palm was neither hospitable nor good. From our experience with our server and watching the servers around us, their irritation was apparent as people communicated that they were there to participate in restaurant week. It was an ungracious, inhospitable experience. The food was subpar at best. The pasta lacked flavor, the French fries were burned and old, the mashed potatoes were flavorless, and the steak came out raw instead of medium. The only positive I can say is that when this was brought to the attention of staff, they attempted to fix it,but the steak came back tough and burned. They at least then offered to changed it for another entree item. We deeply regretted choosing to come here.

Yelp
So over rated. Went for Queens fest. They offered up regular menu and had to ask for Queens Fest menu. They served different cuts of meat and fish for Queens Fest. Watered down sides. Dessert was a flop. Very overpriced. Steak 48 beats them hands down and charge the same for everything. Even if Steak 48 is 10% more, well worth it.

Yelp
The Palm is one of our very favorites! The manager, Joey, always seats us & is very friendly. The chicken parm is the absolute best I've ever had, truly! The steaks are also wonderful! The food is very consistent, we can always count on a great meal at The Palm! Love the bread sticks & whipped butter too! The ambiance is that of an old time Italian steakhouse. I highly recommend The Palm!!!

Yelp
Service was excellent. Prime rib , au-jus was non flavorful "oily "garlic mashed potatoes very liquidity, mushrooms " no words".,

Yelp
We were there for a 2 person dinner on a Friday night. FOOD: We ordered the calamari & bacon appetizers, as a main- NY Strip steak, and sides- brussels sprouts, wild mushrooms, and fries. THE YUMMIEST THING EVER- the thick cut bacon appetizer! It was so thick, delicious, (did I say de-li-cious?!) meat candy. This basically was the savior of the meal, otherwise there would be one less star on this review. My only gripe on the bacon was for $16, they should have given you 3 strips instead of 2. The NY Strip steak was decent, well cooked, and juicy. Now for the rest: the sides- the fries and the mushrooms- for $13.50 EACH I expected better. That simply weren't that good. The fries were bland (season those babies!) and the mushrooms just weren't that tasty. Again, I think a seasoning issue. ATMOSPHERE: When you walk in, there are booths and the bar, then there is another room with tables beyond that. That is where we sat all the way to the back of the room in a table for two against the wall. THIS SECTION WAS LOUD. There was a group table at the other end of the room with 8 people in the mid 50's that were SO LOUD that we turned around 3 times like WTF is going on?? Get it together Baby Boomers!!! Once their food came they piped down since they were stuffing their faces. We said something to our server about it. Maybe the staff didn't want to say anything them because they were a big table ordering a lot of items and their final bill would be big... Anyway, that was disappointing so just realize this is NOT the place for a quiet table for two..... STAFF: We had a nice server, a woman in her 30s, who was pleasant. There were also at least 2 other staff always doing the sweep and checking-in on you. It can be nice, but sometimes overkill and just want to be left alone. Overall an OK experience at the Palm Restaurant, but not heading back there anytime soon.

Yelp
Great steaks and fish. We loved our food and terrific service. Seating was good too and really good ambiance-minimal noise

Yelp
I had a very nice evening at The Palm. The atmosphere was nice. The walls were "decorated" with faces of famous people. Several were signed by the individual. The restaurant had both tables and booth style seating. You could also sit outside on their patio on a nice day/evening. Started with a bottle of Cabernet. Nice wine glasses - something I appreciate. Crab cakes as an appetizer were unbelievable. Not sure there was any "cake" as it was all crabmeat. Caesar salad was very nice as well - not too heavy on the dressing. The meal was excellent. The filet was cooked exactly as ordered. The potatoes au gratin were likely the best I have ever had. Chicken Parmigiana was also ordered at the table. A nice sized serving. Took the desert to go as I was too full to even try. I would definitely come again. I had a very nice evening. Oh, and they have valet parking for your convenience. Enjoy!

Yelp
Decided to stop in for lunch and was pleased that I did. I sat at the bar, but there was no wait in the dining room. The bartender was attentive and kept my drink full. I ordered the lunch special that included a soup, entree, dessert. I ordered the lobster bisque and added an order of calamari, along with the steak and three cheese potato au gratin, and a key lime pie to go. The food was good and I give it two thumbs up.

Yelp
This year our company's award dinner was at The Palm. The menu was preset and the complimentary drinks included water, sweet tea, hot tea and coffee. I ordered the filet as my main dish as well as the others at my table. I ordered mine medium and they ordered theirs well done. My steak was over cooked and so was theirs. The sizes of the steaks were also varied and didn't offer much in size. The steak also didn't have any flavor. It was quite the ordeal to get the steak orders correct and we never received our side dishes. We had to request them. The other main dish offers (salmon and chicken) both looked delicious and were nice portions. The side dishes were ok. They had good flavor but nothing to write home about. The prefix dessert was cheesecake with a raspberry sauce. It was a nice size and came with a side of whipped cream. I ordered the Kentucky Mule as a suggestion from our server. It was amazing! It's not on the menu but I'm glad she suggested it. It was a prefect mix of bourbon and ginger beer. Overall I wasn't impressed by the food at the Palm. I know I didn't have much choice in the items I tried and that it was a large group and that that can be difficult. I do have say the service was great and I did feel like our group was well taken care of. The Palm 6705-B Phillips Pl Ct, Charlotte, NC 28210 Sunday April 14, 2019 6:30pm

Yelp
The steak and service were good, but the Caesar salad was the worst I have ever had. Very disappointing as I have been here many times.

Yelp
Steak came out burned not med rare as requested. Assumed i would be comped but when the check came i wasnt. Wait staff seemed preturbed i even asked. Having to wait for another meal to be cooked caused me to be late for an appointment. Food was ok, little too salty for my taste. Noisy. Not a good first impression.

Yelp
What a great dinner! Went for restaurant week. The Caesar salad was so tasty and fresh. The filet was cooked perfectly. Asked for steak sauce and never even used it because the filet was so tasty. The Zeppole were delicious. My party raved about the shrimp cocktail as well as the salmon. Mary was an excellent server! Thank you, Mary for a great dinner and evening.

Yelp
What a great way to celebrate Father's Day for my hubby! We had a wonderful dinner at The Palm, which included my 12 year older daughter, and our bestie couple! We started our night with the Crispy Calamari Fritti with delicious marinara and cherry peppers and the Fried Oysters Rockefeller (cheesy and yummy) and the Thick Cut Nueske's Bacon! - OMG! It is so true - bacon always makes your day better! All of our apps were amazing but that bacon is still on my mind today! It reminded me of a delicious pork belly! Amazing! Dinner was just as rewarding! We enjoyed the Gnocchi Bolognese, Linguine with clam sauce, Prime bone-in ribeye and the Seafood Posillipo. They even made a special order for my daughter (not on the menu) - Blackened chicken Alfredo! She loved every bite! We complimented our dinner with the perfectly cooked string beans and scalloped potatoes! Everything was delightful, full of flavor and we can't wait to return for more! All hail to the Thick Cut Nueske's Bacon! It is the king or queen of bacon!

Yelp
Joey offered to correct the issues while at the restaurant but I guess he decided it was not important. So I'll keep you posted if I hear back from him but otherwise I want to say not say fast.

Yelp
I usually LOVE The Palm in Charlotte but the change to the marinara isn't great. We went for lunch on Father's Day and sat at the bar. Their chicken parm is the best and normally my fave in Charlotte. The change to the marinara is that it is now super chunky (we also had it with the calamari and it was the same consistency.) It's not easy to eat with the calamari and it doesn't stick to the pasta because of the chunkiness. It's also HEAVY/overpowering on the basil which I don't love. The service was great as always but the change to the sauce won't have me rushing back for $39 chicken parmesan with a less than desirable sauce. The Caesar was also very small. Granted, we split it but even if we combined it, it was the size of a very small side salad for $15.

Yelp
Yet another 5 star review, but well worth the rating. When hosting a birthday event the day after a huge Thanksgiving meal, you have to be special. And The Palm in S.CLT is just that -- thanks for outstanding service and food. You have been a personal and professional go-to for over a decade in S.CLT.

Yelp
One of my favorite steakhouses. They can cook a steak perfectly. Also, since if the best apps in a restaurant. They have also been friendly with my wife and i bringing our two year old to eat dinner.
