This place is a local favorite! Good food and great service. Because it is such a local favorite - literally, people waiting to get in all the time - the ambiance is energetic and it can be quite loud, or at least it was on the Sunday before Thanksgiving. Food: We were a party of three, two ordered the BBQ Ranch Chicken Salad, and one ordered the Cobb - portions were large and filling. Service: Elizabeth, our server, Anna our hostess, and Miguel the bus staff, ensured we were satisfied and were very welcoming despite being very busy due to the popularity of the cafe. Ruben walked by and even offered to take a photo. Parking: There is free parking lot in front of the cafe. If you are looking for good food, large portions, great service, and a taste of the local vibe in a casual yet energetic environment, then you should try this cafe when you are in Rancho Mirage!

My friend wanted a place to go for breakfast where we could sit outside. He had been here before so I met him. We were sitting outside on a beautiful morning. The table location was perfect location for a good conversation. A typical menu with regular breakfast items. My eggs were good, and enjoyed the hashbrowns...sausage patty a nice change.

Google
The Palms Cafe has a very cute and authentic feel to it. With the old classic cars on the booths and classic photos on the wall. We were greeted and seated right away. Great attention to detail. Absolutely great customer service. Delicious food. They also have patio seating overlooking the beautiful mountains. You can hear the birds chirping. The breathe of fresh air in the morning is very relaxing. Couldn't of asked for a better experience today. Thank you!

Eggs Benedict, Chili cheese omelet, biscuits and gravy were excellent! Waffle with strawberries and the two eggs were great. Great and fast service.

Google
Every visit to Palm Springs must include a meal at The Palms. Their pancakes ruined all other pancakes for me, this is the best. Thin crispy tender pancake! All of the meals I’ve had here have been delicious. The staff are prompt and courteous! There’s plenty of parking in the many lots. The atmosphere is a casual coffee shop, great AC and misters outside to keep you cool in the Palm Springs heat.

Google
The food was fine and the servers were kind and patient. But man the prices were so inflated. $18.95 for an omelet. And they went up from there. I eat out these day and expect the increase in prices but this was a bit much for the place and portions.

Google
We waited for a server to take our order at the table which had been occupied and cleaned before we were seated. We sat there for 25 minutes but no one came to the table. There was no contact with any order taker until I went up front and asked for a manager. Also there were order takers who walked by us and looked at us. The excuse of the hostess was there was no one assigned to the table. No manager came to the table but another order taker finally came over after I talked to the hostess twice. He said to us I will take your order but this wasn't my table. He acted like he was doing us a favor for coming over. We felt that there was a negative vibe and discrimination against us. We just got up and left. It ruin our Father's day breakfast.

Yelp
We came here on a lazy holiday Monday, mid-morning. While we were in a lazy mood, the staff was a hustling bunch. This restaurant is unpretentious - simple and straight-forward. They are a breakfast and lunch-time operation which makes their patio perfect for their opening hours. As we ate our brunch, I could tell this was a locals' favorite. Even though the staff was quick and efficient, they had plenty of time to be personable and friendly. We shared the Vegetable Quesadilla, see my pic. What you are seeing is mostly the tortilla: is was good and held up to the steam from the veggies. The side of salsa was very mild, a bit of lingering heat and had a moderate amount of flavor. The scoop of guac was mashed a fair amount, was reasonably fresh and was mildly flavored. What you aren't seeing are the veggies and cheese inside which the Palms has the right ratio. The cheese had a higher fat content so is smooth and creamy, while the veggies still had a bit crunch. It was a fairly decent snack for mid-morning.

Yelp
Not much new to report. We stopped in again for a late breakfast and still felt that the food was only okay (more seasoning needed) and the service was a little inefficient. I will say that the place was packed and most patrons we spoke with while waiting, love it. FOOD: We tried a simple 2 Eggs & Bacon and pancake breakfast ($15.45), as well as the Chili Cheese Omelet with biscuit & gravy ($18). My omelet was tasty, but the hash browns lacked a little salt, and the biscuits and gravy also needed something...both the sausage gravy and biscuit were "pasty" and a little bland. The eggs were supposed to be over easy, and they were well beyond (see picture). The 50's diner décor is cool and there's a nice outdoor patio, when it's not too hot out. Overall, we still thought the food was average, but it's always packed, so go figure. NOTE: The restrooms are located outside the restaurant, within an adjoining antiques mall. It's a little bit of a tricky trek to get there, especially for older customers.

Yelp
Great patio and views. Great service Excellent tuna melt. Bathrooms are in the zombie mall that's attached.

Yelp
Probably the worst meal since living here. Maybe it's what we ordered, considering some positive reviews on Yelp - a Caesar's salad and Huevos Rancheros. Dressing and sauce from a plastic jug. Service was poor. Never came back to see how much we weren't loving it Hate to post a negative review but it seems like they get by being one of the few options lin August in the desert.

Yelp
My kid's and I were staying at Aqua Caliente for few days, we wanted to eat breakfast out of the resort and we were browsing online and we ended up being here. The view is okay, breezy & a tad bit of sandstorm that day, the service not so much because the first worker who tried to helped us that morning seemed a bit annoyed hahaha he's an older grandpa looking but common, I have 4 kid's here, you could at least be more nicer next time and have a little patient. The second server was a little younger than the first but he was far more nicer and had the patience, so thank you very much. Sir! Food wise, it was okay, the pancakes were yummy but the rest was just fine.

Yelp
On our excursion today yelped this place for breakfast and didn't disappoint. Great service, ample seating and nice hot food and drinks. Will be back for breakfast or lunch for sure!

Yelp
Hadn't been at The Palms for a year or two. Still very good, especially the service. A little of the staff have been here for many years. We had the omelets scrambled, which come out great. They have good coffee and iced tea. The toast is a little on the small side. We tend to sit outside due to what can be a bit noisy inside.
google avatar

Yelp
The food was good. The service was just as good. I definitely come back here again. My review needs at least 85 characters so I'm gonna go on and on and on, but I do recommend a place.

Yelp
The Palms Cafe is a nice simple restaurant offering a wide variety of delicious meals. Weather its breakfast, lunch or dinner, you'll be sure to find your next favorite meal. The buttermilk pancake is my favorite! It is a thin pancake with a crispy exterior and a soft tender inside. I have not found any place else that makes pancakes this delicious. The staff are all polite and friendly, they make you feel like regulars. They have plenty of parking in the huge lots.

Yelp
Service was excellent, and the food was delicious! My husband loved the chorizo and eggs, and we loved the Chilaquiles Verde!

Yelp
Really huge portion of loxs with the bagels and lox on this weekend special. Bagel wasn't anything great, but the lox made up for it. Coffee was only so so and I'm sorry, not it's 2023. You have to have internet in a café at this point.

Yelp
What great hospitality and service! I've been here for lunch but this time it was breakfast and it was delicious! I'm always so impressed with the teamwork that every one has here in making the guest experience so great - Jose E was very attentive as was the hostess- start to finish a 10/10 experience!

Yelp
Their simple yet exquisite pancakes. I always enjoy visiting both Palm Cafe locations, where the service is consistently exceptional and genuine.

Yelp
It was a busy weekend. My wife's omelet had burnt turkey she couldn't eat. It looked like we weren't regulars so it didn't matter. We had gone here when my parents were alive. Sorry but we won't be back.

Yelp
This spot is perfect for a laid back breakfast. The service was friendly, the food was tasty, and the vibe was just right. I'd definitely come back again.

Yelp
I love the banana pancakes!! It's usually busy but I've never waited for a table. WiFi isn't good but I'm fine with that.

Yelp
Excellent food and service. We eat there frequently and have never been disappointed. Highly recommended.

Yelp
Great patio and the pancakes were so good. Looks like a place tge local's go. We will go back.

Eileen B.

Yelp
Service & food delicious. My favorite is the chocolate chip pancakes. Lots of yummy chips, thin pancake & crispy.

Emily G.

Yelp
We've been coming to the palms for years it's one of our favorite places to have breakfast in the desert Jose our server is always so great he gives us the best service. Highly recommend!
google avatar

Yelp
I can't image this place ever making a bad meal. The food was cooked perfectly. - eggs over easy- burger med-rare( not raw!- amazed how many 'cooks' get this wrong) Serve was friendly. Fast. But not overbearing. Super relaxing place.
google avatar

Yelp
Fransisco is the absolute best server! Amazing quick service. Constant refills by the supporting staff. Great pancakes. Love Palms. A staple in the Coachella valley! If you want a home style comfy breakfast, this is the place to go!
google avatar

Sean B.

Yelp
The Palms is sort of one of those places that kind of tries to be all things to all people. Now, I love the automotive theme in the decor, that was awesome... our server was certainly efficient and polite enough. Food was just okay, nothing to write home about... Perhaps I'm a bit too much of a foodie to appreciate a place that does a lot of things okay, but with food that's a bit mediocre... but yeah, not a homerun, have definitely had better meals in the Coachella Valley.
google avatar

Shelly C.

Yelp
we travel long distance from Orange County to get their blueberry pancakes. Definitely worth the drive

Lisa T.

Yelp
Service was very friendly & professional. Cool place to have a business coffee or lunch.

Cheri G.

Yelp
I used to like this place, but I had to send my pancakes back because they weren't cooked inside and the second batch wasn't cooked either and they charged us anyway! I didn't want a discount. I shouldn't have to pay for something that I couldn't eat and then I had to go home hungry!
google avatar

Yelp
We decided to go out for breakfast and try a new place. The restaurant is very clean and the car seat booths are very neat. The service is great. The price of omelets are outrages everywhere and this place is no exception. Coffee is standard fair and I would not recommend it. The hash browns were cold, however the omelet was great.
google avatar

Yelp
I just love this place for breakfast. The place is always clean. The waitresses are friendly. And the food is always wonderful. Those pancakes are light and fluffy. The eggs Benedict is always cooked perfect. And the biscuits and gravy are so tasty. And I just love those with waffle fries. A great place to eat

Robert S.

Yelp
I always enjoy my visits to this restaurant. The chocolate chip pancakes are the best. It's hard for me to eat those anywhere else because these are so good. The service is attentive and I love the automobile booth seats in the theme of the restaurant. It's always clean and tables are usually available either inside or out went with my niece and her husband the other day, and we all loved our food, and as always, I loved my chocolate chip pancakes

Tom T.

Yelp
Good service, big menu with many selections. Philly cheese steak sandwich is delicious. Outside patio where you can enjoy an ice cold beer or mimosas. One of my favorite places.
google avatar

Patrick R.

Yelp
This is my "Plan B" place to go if Elmer's gets too packed and has a long wait (which is almost always does). This place is as good but it's a bit of a drive from when I am staying in Palm Springs. The thing that amazes me is how many fries you get on the side when you order a sandwich. They give you so much that the sandwich looks more like the side dish than the fries do. I am not complaining - more is better! They do not stay fresh forever (like most fries) so it's best to eat them ASAP and not keep them as leftovers if you get full.
google avatar

Marcie M.

Yelp
Service is not that attentive. It's sub par Food came out slow. I've had more misses that hits with this place. My bacon and cheese omelette was a thin greasy crepe of egg loaded with crispy bacon. Hardly any cheese or egg. It was a bacon burrito. This was a horrible omelette. The two girls at the front just stand and talk. They should be helping the crew with water and coffee or grabbing the server when they are needed by the patrons. Not a great experience. Won't be back.

Yelp
Delicious food! I had the chicken salad. It surprised me by being served over fruit. But the combo of savory chicken salad with the fresh, sweet fruit was so good! Service was quick at 10:15am when we got there.
google avatar

Edward C.

Yelp
I've reviewed before but the consistency of the food and service compels me to say more good things! The service is great, very active and they all help each other! The quesadillas are great! They use a flaky tortilla that I haven't had anywhere else and it's filled with chicken, cheese and chilies with guacamole, sour cream and salsa on the side! Additionally I get their omelets scrambled and the are great! Large menus with lots of good food! Go and enjoy! Ed Clarke

Yelp
The Palms Cafe offers a solid 4* breakfast. They weren't very busy so I was seated immediately upon arrival. Today was my second time here and I ordered the Mexican Omelette. It is tasty and filling and well prepared. My coffee cup was kept full and the service was fine. My only complaint this visit was the cinnamon roll. It was not a traditional cinnamon roll and I just didn't care it. Too much dough, not nearly enough brown sugar/cinnamon filling and I'm not what was in the icing but it wasn't a sweet cream cheese frosting that I prefer. I would definitely return but would not recommend the cinnamon roll.

Yelp
Great place to have brunch. Had Benedict's and coffee and you can take your pups on the large outdoor patio

Sir Thomas ..

Yelp
In Cathedral City for a conference and have only 1 morning for a proper breakfast/brunch -- didn't want fancy but didn't want cheap diner either. Being midway between both Wilma & Frieda locations I wanted something closer ... drove past Sunshine Cafe and no outdoor options, felt meh from outside, so uturn back toward Palms. Good move Lovely outdoor seating (shaded) overlooking mountains with friendly & accommodating staff, my California omelette, pictured here, was excellent. I opted for tomatoes & pancake instead of toast & hash browns, very glad I did. No skimping on avocado nor the turkey chunks. Salsa on the side is fresh and mild which works well. So full, ate it all up. Fair warning: $10 for coffee and oj.

David R.

Yelp
Well, we had out of town guests and suggested we go to The Palms because we remember it was great, even though we have not been for a year or so. We were wrong to go to The Palms. The diced potatoes were dry, as was the ham steak (couldn't eat it), bacon was overdone and dry, coffee was a bit weak. On the good side were the eggs and the service provided. What happened to The Palms breakfast? Our guests also were disappointed unfortunately. We will try once more to see if this was a fluke experience.

Siauliai S.

Yelp
Fast, friendly service! Delicious food. We were very impressed & will be back for sure!
google avatar

Kathy B.

Yelp
Not what it used to be. Wish I could say something better. Even the iced tea was old tea.
google avatar

Beck R.

Yelp
I don't know, the service could have been warmer. It's a diner, but I can understand why it would be a hot spot: it's very spacious and clean. Very cute seats. I had the waffles, hash browns and the chicken fried steak. The hash browns were cold, the waffle was crispy but cold as well. This place has good coffee. The strawberries I had with my waffle were fresh. The restrooms are not apart of the restaurant, they are apart of the strip mall it belongs to. I may go back for lunch. Meh.

Yelp
Almost every Saturday morning We eat breakfast Nice stuff &good service Food is good Big portions We take our dogs together Our favorite restaurants

Martha G.

Yelp
Service was friendly and we were seated pretty fast. The food was good except for the fresh fruit, some it tasted old or like it was on the verge of going bad. My friend, who got the banana walnut pancake, said it was everything she hoped for. Overall, I'd come back again but likely wouldn't get the fruit next time (you get to choose between fruit and potatoes).
google avatar

Andrea S.

Yelp
Cute seating with pics of exotic cars. Food came out pretty fast and service was good. Good place for brunch.

Brian B.

Yelp
My wife and I wanted to try a new restaurant so we tried the Palm restaurant. The website listed omelettes for $9.95. When we arrived, we saw the omelettes were priced at $16.95. When we asked the server about the increased price, he said "oh, they haven't changed the website price in a while. The owners are quick to order new menu's with updated prices, but can't simply update their website? Maybe a little false advertising? Our male server had a lot to be desired. He asked us what we wanted to drink as he was walking away. Of course when he returned, he screwed up the drink order. The food was not bad. When the bill came, I saw the orange juice I had ordered was $6.95. The orange juice glass was not larger than 7-8 ounces. I ordered a glass of orange juice, not the tree. For those of you with children on a budget, you might want to think twice before selecting this restaurant for your family meal. We paid as much for breakfast as it would cost for a dinner at another restaurant.
google avatar

Cindy B.

Yelp
Fantastic chili cheese omelet! Not many places carry this dish, so the Palms is my go to for one of the best chili cheese omelets I have ever had. The other things we have had, eggs benedict and huevos rancheros were not good because the chef clearly adds cinnamon to the sauce. Cinnamon has a very distinct taste - it took us two visits to figure out what it was - I am not a fan. I wish he wouldn't do that so we could try other things, but I don't trust it won't have it in there.
google avatar

Ron L.

Yelp
The Palms Cafe is a local hang out for good food with a big patio underneath a number of umbrellas. So even if it is so hot that only a lizard would venture outside, there are plenty of mist flowing around to keep it comfortable while eating some cool food. Salads looked good for this gluten intolerant diner and there were some nice selections to choose from. I'm not a burger guy but they did look good as they floated by through the mist. For a good selection for breakfast or lunch, The Palm Cafe patio is an excellent location.

Yelp
My favorite breakfast spot! I live 40 mins away an I make the drive just to get breakfast here sometimes. Service is always great and fast. Ambiance is nice I like sitting outside with the beautiful view! But inside is nice too I like the booth seats with the old cars on them. Food never disappoints!
