My two guests had never been to The Pantry before, but after our meal they were looking forward to returning and bringing their own guests. We had a cozy, delightful time. BTW I was looking for a high protein meal, and my chef's salad was just right! (If I could have accepted the toasted, homemade bread, I would have eagerly done so. Sigh.)

The best part for us was the charming atmosphere with unique, eclectic decor. We came for Saturday lunch and waited over an hour. Once seated, the service could have been a little quicker, though we may have just been too hungry. That said, the food came out quickly once we ordered, and it was absolutely delicious. The fish fillet (Icelandic cod) was the best I’ve had, and the bread pudding was excellent. Sorry no fish photo—I was too hungry! Definitely worth the visit, but don’t come starving, as the wait can be long.

What an amazing little gem!! This is for sure my new favorite breakfast spot. The service was incredible, everyone was just so friendly, and the food was fantastic!! Can’t wait to come back and try more of the menu.

This place is a hidden gem in the middle of the mountains! From the homemade food to the cute decor, to the amazing staff. Great spot for breakfast or lunch. Can't wait to come back on our next visit.

First time at The Pantry! We went on Friday morning at 10:45 and were sat at 11:30 for a party of 2 (prepare for a loooooong wait, there’s not much seating) and every entity of the process takes time here, but you’ll have plenty of time to study the menu before you’re seated and luckily the kitchen is quick which saves the day👌 the food was excellent. We got the eggs Benedict with avo and bacon and the country fried steak with country potatoes and the baked bread with scrumdittilyumptious butter is to die for. An absolute round of applause for the kitchen for one of the best breakfasts we’ve had. Our server was nice and efficient as well. I would recommend stopping here coming from town, but be prepared to wait! Worth it

Another great experience at The Pantry! It's been 6 years since we last visited. I was so glad to see they were still in business and doing well. This time we got the Cobb salad and grilled cheese sandwich with curly fries. Both were amazing and service was great. We hope to be back again soon!

We found this gem from Yelp! It is a small place in Green Mountain Falls and has the best food. We got their specialty the Cinnamon Roll French toast. Needless to say-we got 2 Cinnamon rolls to go. Yum!!! The people were friendly and in the front there is a park and playground. Definitely recommend!

What a Local Gem! We were looking for a spot to grab some brunch and a mimosa and stumbled upon The Pantry on Yelp. When we showed up on a Monday morning, the place was already on a wait--clearly a popular spot! Despite the crowd, they sat us quickly at the bar, where they poured some impressively tall drinks. I have to start with the food, which was fantastic. I had the Pantry Omelet and got it smothered in Chef Dave's Famous Green Chili, which was a great choice. Others in our group ordered the French toast and couldn't stop raving about it. You can tell they care about quality, as all their bread is fresh-baked and absolutely delightful. The vibe matched the food. The staff was fun, and the decor felt cozy and perfectly matched the "Pantry" name. It really feels like a local gem. We'll definitely be back!

Homey and full of terrific smells, The Pantry diner looks just enough careworn to be charming. The space is small--the front room has only a curved bar with stool seating, and the one dining room has about a dozen tables covered with oilcloth by a Franklin stove-type fireplace. Fortunately the space is expanded by both a front and rear patio with additional seating and umbrellas--but that's not much help on an inclement day. Expect it to be noisy inside, and don't be surprised if you must wait to access the tiny washroom. Parking is out front, and there's sufficient space there. Breakfast is obviously a big draw here, and breakfast is always available. We opted for lunch and hot sandwiches, which were hearty and tasty. The mashed potatoes were especially good. The diner was surprisingly crowded for a weekday, and 4 servers were kept hopping. Unfortunately, our "A.K." apparently forgot to bring us our tab and to-go boxes, so we had to ask assistance from another server. Still, I recommend The Pantry if you find yourself in this small town below Pikes Peak.

A true American diner experience! We sat at the counter to get the full experience and I'm glad we did--we sat between 2 groups of locals who were friendly and full of stories about their hometown. Service was fast and friendly, despite it being a holiday weekend and packed to the gills. I had the Eggs Benedict with Avocado and Bacon, and a side of hashbrowns done perfectly crispy and delicious. The Benny was very good as well. My partner had the grilled cheese on sourdough with three cheeses and tomatoes. She said it was fantastic. The ambience is total kitsch with interesting chotzkes, bobble-heads and figurines everywhere. When we were in town for the weekend, the pantry was the only place available for breakfast and thank goodness it was great!

I've been debating on posting this review but decided it needs to be done. I've been wanting to try this place for a while now, so when my dad came into town we decided to go. We came in on a Tuesday around noon and walked up to the "please wait here to be seated sign" which was placed outside of the restaurant. The door to the restaurant was open and I saw the hostess standing inside behind the counter working on something. She was standing by another sign that said "wait list here". So I figured since she was working on something inside she would want us to put our name down at this other sign. We walk in and immediately the hostess seems annoyed. She asks us how many we have, glances into their side room, then shakes her head and literally with her hands "shoos" us out of the restaurant. I'm caught off guard because already this seems so rude to do to customers, but we go back outside. Where the hostess then hits the "please wait to be seated sign". I told her that there was no one outside. To which she rudely said "she had other things to do". I then proceeded to tell her she didn't need to be rude and she flipped it sound telling us we were the rude ones. At this point I'm so upset, holding my 2 year old with my 4 and 6 year old standing next to me. If it weren't for me having hungry kids I would have just left. We ended up getting seated shortly after this on the patio. I texted my husband who was on his way and let him know of the situation. He immediately knew who I was talking about once he sat down with us because she was being rude to other customers coming in as well. The food was good. But after reading other reviews I would not wait over an hour for this place. The scenery is obviously remarkable. The experience was terrible and nothing ive ever encountered before. We unfortunately will not be back.

I absolutely love breakfast at the pantry! I almost always cook breakfast at home, but when I don't it's just a quick walk to the pantry! The Huevos Rancheros are on point with generous portions on everything on the menu! My guys go to are either pancakes or the ham and eggs! Nothing on the menu disappoints!

Green Mountain Falls is picturesque with its pond, gazebo, and surrounding mountains. The Pantry is a favorite stop for us for breakfast in the little town. The inside is quaint, but with nice weather, we like dining outside - especially creek-side dining. Weekends are busy, but the service is decent. Yet with the babbling creek, interesting decor outside, and a musician singing and strumming his guitar, you don't mind any delay. At this outing, my wife had an omelet and I had French Toast. After breakfast, the best thing is talking a walk around the nearby pond with its gazebo (where my wife & I were married over 30 years ago). And the drive up from Colorado Springs on Hwy 24 is gorgeous in the summertime.

Just a BEAUTIFUL outdoor place in the back!! Wonderfull servers, a creek running through it, lots of old wagon wheels tools, very quaint. The food was wonderful! We were there on Thursday about 12:30. I will come back! Very impressed.Beautiful and peaceful. There was also live music, lots of James Taylor songs.

Beware! The wait is long but so worth it. I ordered the chicken salad without croutons and in place they gave me more avocado. Who does that? It was so tasty with grilled onions and large walnut pieces. Fresh greens and honey mustard salad dressing Our waitress was amazing! 97%efficient, lots of energy and very proficient. Only one problem- she forgot to ask what type of dressing I wanted for my salad. That should never t have been a problem because the person that delivered it asked. What good is it to ask without delivering? Our waitress came though after I finished a quarter of my undressed salad. Prices are very reasonable and the guitar player enjoyable.

Came to the pantry on Wednesday for breakfast and it was a whole vibe! The food was absolutely amazing and the raisin cinnamon bread was to die for! Customer service was top notch and once we ordered our food, it was at the table in approximately 10 minutes. This was my first time coming during the week and I'll probably be coming more during the week this summer!

We arrived 40 minutes before we were supposed to meet up with friends and the awesome hostess/wait staff, Tasha, let us put our name on the list! We checked back in every few minutes to let them know we hadn't left and they were absolutely cool about it. The restaurant is very small, only about 12 tables, and a bar with maybe ten seats, but it was lovely inside and just down home. Tasha was our waitress and was so fun and kind. She was very sweet and gave us tips and kind remarks. The food was out in just a few minutes and was delicious. I had the Pantry Omelette with hash browns and only added a tad of salt. My husband had the chicken fried steak with hash browns and bacon. Everything was cooked exceptionally well and was hot and fresh. I cleaned my plate everything was so good and tasted so great. That's a rarity for me. My husband said everything he had was excellent except the chicken fried steak. That was good but not great. One thing that impressed me is that one of our friends asked for a scrambled egg. When it was brought out, Tasha felt it was undercooked and asked my friend if it was acceptable or she wanted it redone? My friend loved it as it was, and devoured it. The Pantry is situated in Green Mountain Falls on a quaint dead end road across from a small park with a lake, gazebo, playground, fishing, etc. It's a beautiful area, even in winter, and makes the restaurant that much more enticing. Great restaurant, with an awesome staff (thanks Tasha!) but it can have super long waits so plan ahead!

It's really nice when the patio is open and you can sit in the rustic setting and listen to the creek and small waterfalls bubbling by. The service is excellent and the food is tasty.

You cannot beat the friendly service here- ambiance is great and food is basic but delicious- but the servers are BEYOND. So friendly, so attentive- and they must be irritated with all the tourists and yet they have a smile on their face and are so incredibly attentive and just lovely

The hostess is very bad at her job. Consistently lied to us about time and where we were in the queue. Originally it was an hour wait, after an hour we were told there are only 2 groups ahead of us. After another 20 minutes atleast 6-8 other groups sat down, we asked again and were still told that we were very close to being sat. Eventually had to leave after still not getting a table for an hour and a half. Never would've wasted our afternoon if told the truth from the beginning. Terrible hostess lies to customers, baiting them into waiting longer. Will not be coming back!

Popular local spot known for their outdoor dining area next to a stream and live music during weekend brunch. Blankets are available for dogs and humans if you feel a chill. I have never been inside to dine so can't speak to how large it is but is is spacious outside. Trees cover the whole dining area so it is a nicely protected spot. Had the pantry omelette with cinnamon toast and it was yummy and filling. Waitress was very friendly. They will normally have a wait or a line so you can't hang out all day but it is definitely a good setting for that. Not great for large groups as the tables are round tables and spread apart.

Great food and great service. One of my favorite places. Really enjoy the creekside dining.

Our airbnb host recommended this breakfast/lunch place to us as a famous place. In the summer there are only outside seatings. It has a very cute outside garden seating with really cool deco and a stream running through the courtyard. We intended to go for breakfast on a Saturday morning. What we planned turned out to be having early lunch. We arrived at 9:30 and told that the wait was going to be 20 mins. It turned out to be an hour and a half long. Minus 2 stars for the wait as it was just too long, and we ended up delaying our plans. The food wasn't 5 star food. 2 stars for the food and 1 star for the service. As I recall, their eggs were really good. Of course, we all had their cinnamon raisin homemade bread was buttered goodness. Our server deserved a star. She was very attentive, filling up coffee when needed. Perhaps we went on a Saturday, there was a long wait, but the food wasn't super good to worth that wait.

Wow - what a place - absolutely loved it! Had a patty melt that stands with the best I've ever had; a great burger with grilled onions, Swiss cheese and perfectly toasted bread. Great service and the vibe in the cafe very pleasant. Thank you!!!

Favorite restaurant of the trip so far. I have been on the hunt for a small local restaurant that treats like family and this is the only one I have yet to find. Very friendly, hospitable staff and incredible food. We sat in the patio out front and it was lovely. We were fortunate with perfect weather and no wait since we came on a Wednesday afternoon. I got an omelet with country potatoes and homemade biscuit. It was good, but I came hungry and could have used some more protein (Omelet was a little smaller than I expected). Hubby got a burger and curly fries and said it was phenomenal. Will definitely be returning before our trip is over.

Had breakfast here... cinnamon roll, pantry omelette, biscuit, bowl of chili, bacon (I was hungry!), girlfriend had the sausage and gravy biscuit and an egg. Food was an absolutely phenomenal AND very fairly priced! The one ding is that when we got there it was a 40 minute wait for a table so we ordered at the bar - where we were told it was a 30 - 40 minute, and it was at least an hour. That said, staff was very friendly, went above and beyond, and the food was so good and so well priced I wasn't even upset. Great stop, just suggest you arrive 1-2 hours before you want to eat if going on a weekend. That's not a knock on the place, they are busy, and deservedly so.

The setting around a shaded creek and atmosphere of relaxation was spectacular. The food was great and the drinks were very delicious. The staff worked their tails off to serve people. I recommend seating at the bar. It overlooks the creek and in back of the live music area. And you don't have to yell over the music

This continues to be one of my favorite places. The last time we visited, the service was super slow and I had questioned whether this was a delicious place to eat or if it was based upon nostalgia. This visit confirmed, it is a delicious place to eat. The back outside area is absolutely wonderful. A tributary of the local creek runs through it - the atmosphere is relaxing and there are blankets in case you get cold. Their homemade breads, specifically the cinnamon raisin, continues to be one of my favorites. Hubs got the breakfast burrito with the most delicious and spicy sauce. They continue to serve the best cinnamon rolls. Think I will need to pick one up tomorrow along with my pancake. Yum!!!!!

The location of this spot is quiet and park-like. We sat outside and it was lovely. The service was friendly and quick. I had an omelet and cinnamon raisin toast which was wonderful home made bread- not your typical cinnamon raisin. The coffee was fine but probably the only part of our meal that wasn't exceptional.

The patio area is amazing, BUT, it would be beneficial to guests to quote accurate wait times for a table and service. We arrived at 10:20 and were seated at 12:25. Once seated, the food took 45 minutes. It would be helpful to know they have a small kitchen and your total dining experience could take over 3-3.5 hours.

Hello, the bruger critic here. I got the build your own burger; and let me tell you -- it was GREAT! I recommend doing the regular ground beef over the Buffalo since they are freshly made and you can defitenly tell! 10/10 would recommend and will be coming back for sure. The service was great as well; my wife and I sat outside and it was very peaceful and with nice breeze.

Now in the summer they were so busy we waited 1hr. We didn't get our food we had to walk out cause we ran out of time.

We stayed at an AirBNB nearby and had breakfast every day here and we loved it! The staff were always super nice and attentive. Everything we ordered was cooked well. We also like they allowed our small dog inside to avoid the cold. And they serve mimosas and bloody Mary's. Such a nice spot! ^_^

The service was amazing and the food was delicious! Green Mountain Falls is a cute little town to visit and checkout some cute shops too.

I'm picky about live music, but the gentleman who sings and plays guitar is talented and very enjoyable. The hostess offered a blanket and water for my dog. The food, atmosphere, and service were excellent. I can't wait to go back.

Update August 2023- We had Tasha again as our server and she didn't disappoint! Great service, fantastic and yummy food, and beautiful outdoor atmosphere!

We came here after a camping trip and it was the absolute best. Such amazing service, I had their bloody Mary and their mimosa, and they were both so good. Beautiful location, and probably even better in the summertime. My boyfriend had the huevos rancheros 10/10. And I had their soup of the day with a sandwich, which was catered vegetarian. Can't wait to go back.

I only went there once and it was so memorable I didn't forget the Name of the restaurant I really really REALLY need another excuse to go there Fantastic comfort food!!!

This place is not what it seems. It is located in the heart of Green Mountain Falls and tucked behind other businesses, but don't let that full you. Let me begin by saying the customer service is phenomenal, our waitress was responsible for the whole room and killed it with a smile on her face. Second, the food is chefs kiss! We got the bison burger with the curley fries and added chili. All of it was gone within 20 min. Lastly we got the bread pudding a la mode and omg soooooo good. The best part, such good pricing. We left a 40 percent tip because we were just so damn impressed. Highly recommend this establishment if you are in the area!

Best eggs Benedict in Colorado!!! The country potatoes are the best!!! We love eating here as a family - my son loves the happy face pancake!!! All of the servers are awesome!! They all go above and beyond!! It's a warm place to visit and when it's warm outside the porch is open and you can bring your dog!!!

This is a great off the beaten track. Local place with great breakfast. The bread is fresh baked daily and was very good. I was in town for a wedding and ate here on 2 or 4 days. Service was friendly and good.

First The food was good. Next the food was a bit pricey for what you got. And saying that I couldn't understand why the place is so rundown. With those kind of prices, I would think that they would be doing some remodeling even if it's only partial one year at a time. Next time I'm in a wheelchair. We called ahead to see what accommodations could be had for that circumstance. They said to park in the alley and come in through the back. There was no parking in the back. So I had to come in through the front entrance over flag stones interspersed with graveland up a step. Winding my way back to the garden, which is another thing because it a stream was running through it and the babbling brook sounds were great. But to get to my table next to the stream, and it was the only one available, I had to punch through quarter size gravel in a wheelchair. I don't know if they're aware of the ADA laws surrounding an eating establishment but if they read this, I would recommend that they read up on them. But I saved the best for last. The young man acting as a busboy, was kind, compassionate and extremely helpful in getting me back to the entrance of the restaurant. To the owners, I would recommend hanging onto him because. he is an asset worth keeping.

Stopped in for a bite to eat on our way up Highway 24 for a little bit of aspen peeping. We over ordered because EVERYTHING sounded wonderful. It was. The outdoor seating area is right across from the lake with a gazebo so the scenery was top notch. So was the service! In fact I am confident in saying that I have never had a more attentive waitstaff! No really! I have a feeling that this will become a regular stop for my friends and I. They serve a typical breakfast/lunch menu and are moderately priced.

Wires service in my entire. Three hours from start to finish. Hash browns were way over cooked and the breakfast burrito was hard and crusty. This will be our last time eating here.

I hate to post such an amazing review...because I don't want it to be so crowded next time I go back! The outdoor patio around back is big and SO CUTE. It's not fancy, plastic chairs and small metal tables, but it has a great vibe. Low key, beautiful willow trees, running water. Refreshing. It is a bit chilly in the shade, but they even provide blankets to patrons! The breakfast food is amazing and cooked perfectly every time we go....100% consistency and fresh. Waitstaff is always super friendly. Def a "hole in the wall," tiny, historic place! Lovely!
