My wife and I have been to this restaurant several times, and this is the first time we've had a bad experience. It literally took 9 mins and 2 seconds for anyone to acknowledge us, and we finally got one of the workers to take our order. She made a face as if we inconvenienced her but hey, the show must go on. We sat at the far end of the booth/bar, and my wife and I started noticing a lot of uncleanliness that made us regret our decision into coming to this eatery. We were hungry and we've had great experiences in the past so we decided to stay and give the benefit of the doubt. As for the food, I would have given it five stars if it wasn't for the waitress's finger touching a piece of the brisket hanging off my taco/enchilada combo plate ( which I eventually cut off ). No refills, no acknowledgement. We were finally asked by the waitress who attended us if we were good just once, after my wife had to ask another waitress for a refill on coffee. My wife literally had to go to front register to ask another waitress to get a refill of coffee... Not once, but twice. Sitting at the end, we noticed a basket of fries literally sitting in the basket for a solid 23 mins. Bags of Mission tortillas being microwaved, along with containers of food or sauce getting microwaved several times. One container was microwaved twice of a total of 14 mins. The glass sugar containers on our booth was covered in filthy fingerprints from the previous customer(s), and the photos posted pretty much speaks for itself. The cooks in the back were horseplaying and making obnoxious noises and yelling. Our waitress was literally cutting up strawberries/berries, and adding them on top of several customers pancakes with no gloves on after touching receipts, money and other items that everyone else was touching behind the booth. Not once did she wash her hands. The place was busy, but that still doesn't give the excuse for unsanitary and unprofessional behavior and/or attitude. A bit pricey for certain foods being microwaved. The pot of soup which is in the photo looked like it hadn't been wiped for quite some time. Caked on fingerprints and old soup splatter and drips. Could we have gone somewhere else to eat? Absolutely!! But when my wife and I started noticing the "behind the scenes", then I felt it was only fair to share our experience so other patrons are aware of what they're paying for. There was a gentlemen who actually acknowledged us and was attentive at the end. Even though he wasn't the one who waited on us, he was the only one that actually showed great customer service. I know eating out is a risk, but when you're paying close to $50 for a meal, and still expect a tip with poor customer service and, an unsanitary and a poorly cleaned restaurant , then it's best to say something because heaven knows what kind of bacteria is cross contaminating the food that is being served.
