The Paper Park in Kathmandu is a unique place that deserves a visit, especially if you're interested in local crafts and ecological initiatives. Here is my personal opinion: Positives: * Originality: The concept of creating a park from recycled paper is both innovative and environmentally friendly. It's a different experience from what you usually find in Kathmandu. * You can discover the traditional Nepalese paper-making process, which is very enriching. * Local crafts: The park showcases the skills of local artisans, who use age-old techniques to transform paper into works of art. * It's a great place to buy original souvenirs and support the local economy. * Ecological aspect: The Paper Park raises awareness of the importance of recycling and protecting the environment, which is crucial in a city like Kathmandu. * The use of recycled material is a plus for the environment. Points to consider: * Size: The shop is not very large, so the visit can be quite quick. Paper Park is an interesting and educational experience, especially if you're looking to get off the beaten track in Kathmandu. It's a place that combines art, crafts and ecology, and deserves to be supported.

Beautiful handmade Nepali paper, envelopes, note books and journals. Well made. Excellent service. Clean and organized. Lovely gift items, lightweight and easy to transport. Great selection. Loved this shop so much last year that I came back again this visit. Highly recommend.

Nice shop selling paper crafts that support fair trade, while employing marginalised women, supporting girl education and Aids awareness activities. It’s nice to go and add some meaning to the products you buy :)

Very cool place to get everything paper! If you need paper frames, wrapping paper, book marks, books etc. This is the place to visit. They have a huge selection and the wrapping paper here is amazing. If you want to make your gift for friends or family even more special take a look at what they have and wrap it up in many different styles and colours. In the heart of Thamel, and the shop has 2 floors to explore different paper products.

Beautiful handmade paper products and a mailbox to send letters home. Sadly, Nepal is suffering under the tourist ban and none of the shops are selling much or seeing may visitors.
