The Par Lounge and Deck

My husband and I absolutely loved everything about this restaurant. Immediately I was taken aback by the view of the golf resort from our table. Service was spot on with a friendly server and a generous wine pour. I really liked seeing the local wine selection on the menu. My food was SO good-this is one of the best pesto dishes I’ve ever had at a restaurant. Even the bathrooms were notably clean and luxurious. I already cannot wait to return.

We had a wonderful dining experience at The Par Lounge and Deck! I ordered the Pesto Tortellini pasta, and my husband had the Shrimp Capellini pasta - both dishes were bursting with flavor. For dessert, we had the butter cake, which was perfectly sweet and warm. The customer service was excellent, making us feel welcome and well taken care of. The atmosphere was fantastic, with beautiful mountain views, a lovely view of the golf course, and live music that added to the relaxing ambiance. I highly recommend this place for a delightful meal!

We love the Par Lounge. We had breakfast on Monday morning and everything was outstanding. Even had our server compliment the cook for us on the country potatoes, they were the best we have had there. The service is friendly and food is great!

Absolutely delicious food, we got the chips and guac, which were fresh and hot and the guac was amazing! The prime rib was superb and cooked perfectly. My partner had the shrimp tempura Alfredo and said it’s the best he’s ever had. Will definitely keep this on our list of go tos when we visit

Food , oh ya it's good.. Service...Lindsay had it all under control Great place to visit, you must eat ...10 out of ten for tasty morsels. Thanks Lindsay... I highly recommend visiting Lindsay for some tasty morsels.

All the dishes we had were well executed and thought out. Balanced sauces in the lettuce wrap. Fish taco was so fresh and packed with flavor. The French Fries and Sweet Potato Fries were fresh and crispy. The Cauliflower dish was okay but my least favorite. Hubby loved a baked potato for only $3.00...and it was loaded for an extra .50! I would rush back if I lived in the area. The outside eating area was lovely on an October night. Servers were friendly and efficient!

It's becoming more rare to find restaurants that have great service and great food at reasonable prices. The Par lounge has both. Combined with a full bar and live music on specific days, this place has become my favorite place to visit. Highly recommend it.

We came here for my mom’s birthday. Most of the food was great, but the prime rib was a bit disappointing. Fortunately, the service made up for it — Chuck and Isabella were excellent. We’ll definitely be back.

Great views. Excellent selection and service. Live music was excellent as well as the ambiance Servers are super nice. Super clean facilities Manager Collleen was super helpful and server Thunder was professional, attentive and helpful when we selected dinner items. Place is great for big groups, families and kids. If we had something close to this restaurant at home we would visit everyday. We cannot wait to be back to The Par Lounge and Deck!

Stopped in for lunch today at Par Lounge. What a great lil place. Denise "Navidad" was our amazing server. We started with drinks. I had a small salad and we ordered chips and guacamole. Denise came back and took our entree order and we both had the grilled chicken sandwich with avocado and cranberry. Oh so good. Great service, people and food. Highly recommended.

I normally don't write Yelp reviews, but felt I needed to leave one for this particular dining experience. We went to dinner to celebrate our Daughter's birthday. We all really like the Oaks Grille and Par Lounge, and dine there quite frequently. The food is normally top notch, as was this dinner except for one item, the Calamari. We normally always get the Calamari to start with, so why wouldn't we continue to do so. Well, the Calamari was the worst we have ever had. I understand there are off nights, but this had nothing to do with it being an off night. They changed the Calamari!!! I would describe it as the most pale looking, bland, tasteless Calamari I have ever seen and eaten. I felt like it was on clearance from wherever they purchased it from. The four of us at the table, took one taste and we didn't finish it. I should have said something to our server right then but instead waited until we were paying our check and asked her if they had changed it? Her reply, "Yes and we have had many complaints!!" I have no idea why they would change a menu item that we have been enjoying since we moved here 8 years ago. I know many other people who have said how good it was, before they made this recent change. I have to guess it was to save money? I forgot to mention, that the Calamari is $19.25 and the portion has been cut way back. The "new" Calamari needs to go away and please, please bring back the original. I will be saving myself $19.25 from future lunches / dinners, unless they bring back the original.

First time here I ordered a French Dip, mimosa and sangria. All were good. The views of the golf course and mountains were great! Unfortunately the service was really slow. I think the waitress forgot to take our order and forgot about our drinks as well. It could've been because we were a large group. But overall we all did agree that the food was good.

Another new seasonal menu refresh has debuted at Par Lounge and Deck! Definitely some elevated, chef'ed up creations from their culinary team. I did a test drive of some of their new "small plates" and really enjoyed them. "Bread Service" was outstanding. Three crusty, puffy, hot sourdough rolls topped with Everything Bagel seasoning and a side of house-made herb compound butter. The butter was perfectly soft and spreadable. Rock hard butter with any bread service is a big pet peeve of mine. It's the details, and they nailed it. The "Deviled Eggs" were a stunning presentation! Beet juice infused eggs with a dijon and truffle oil filling that was artfully piped into the cavity, crowned with pickled mustard seed. I don't know what trick they were using to peel the eggs but they were perfect and smooth. Mine usually come out looking like the surface of the moon or the parking lot behind 7-11. The serving came with only five which made this one awkward to share. I'd suggest that six might be a more appropriate serving. The "Mac & Cheese" makes random and sporadic appearances on the menu here. I'm always excited when it returns because as many people know it's my favorite vegetable. Now made with orecchiete pasta which has a lovely mouthfeel. Mixed with a delicious gruyere béchamel and topped with toasted onion breadcrumb. I requested the addition of bacon to elevate the flavors and texture. There were only a few small bits but still among the finest macs you'll find in Ramona. We also tried the "Pork Poutine". A nice bowl filled with a generous amount of tater tots, Wisconsin cheese curd, tender pork shoulder, harissa, pickled onion, chile and cilantro. This dish was fun to share and such a combustion of flavors. I would like to see the tots fried to a more crisp, well done. They are usually pretty flaccid here. Some of the cheese curds were stone cold which was an unfortunate culinary juxtaposition for this dish. While some refinements may be in order, I would certainly get this again.

Slow cold and greasy. Service was slow, we waited forever on our food, and when it finally came, it was cold. People who sat down after us got their food and pretty much almost finished it by the time ours got out. Although, The lady who took our order was nice. though, she was forgetful, she was nice. Overall, wouldn't come if I had a choice. Anyways bye

Ordered a steak med well because I can't stand the blood anymore. It came super raw. Cut into it and blood everywhere. Sent it back and instead of just throwing back on the grill for a few minutes they waited until my party was done eating then brought my meal. So my whole party ate while I waited another 20 minutes and it came bloody again. Everyone had already finished their meal and here is a pic of the raw steak. So grossed out I lost my appetite. Instead of a manager coming over and saying something they offered me a free dessert. If I didn't want my meal why would I want a dessert??? Some guy at the bar sitting next to me heard I didn't want it and took the free dessert. The manager dropped it off and ran away. Saying nothing and not even realizing the person getting the dessert is a random person. Why would you make me wait 20 minutes and not just throw it back on the grill. Horrible management. Same thing happened with a burger last time I was in. Gave them another chance but never again. They seriously don't care here.

I've been in Ramona for a long time and of all places This is in my top 3. The service, the food is consistent and every time I'm not disappointed. The prices are reasonable and you can't go wrong with the view and the scenery. Mostly I like the patio on a nice sunny afternoon but more so, the food is always very good. If anything a little bit more selection would be appreciated, but the menu works and keeps me coming back hungry for more!

3 of us for lunch today. Upon entering we noticed there were quite a few people there but easily found a booth to sit in and before long Tammy came to greet us and took our drink orders. The venue is a decent size with bar area and surrounding booths/tables and a small outdoor patio area with tables. We ordered the guacamole and chips for starters and we each ordered the Mandarin Chinese salad, South by Southwest salad and a turkey Ortega sandwich with tater tots. Everyone enjoyed their meals, food was fresh and delicious. The guacamole was very tasty and chips were hot (temperature wise), nice touch. The salads were plentiful and prices are on the higher side $20 ish for each entree. Great food, decent service. We will be back if in the area.

Service is great bloody Marys we're awesome and food is delicious. Took my bff wife and kiddos and everyone enjoyed the outside dining.

We enjoy coming here for breakfast on the weekend. It's a lovely atmosphere in a scenic and spacious location. That's really fun to be able to bring children to the service is and friendly and well. The food is not gourmet. It's at least a three out of five stars and consistently Enjoyable. We really enjoy coming to the par lounge for dinner and to order out pizzas as that food is much higher up the gourmet scale and although there's a considerable weight, the food and bar are worth the time and effort.

This our second time we've been to the Par Lounge. We decided to go on Valentine's Day, which was a huge mistake. The service was extremely slow due to lack of staff to cover the amount of guests they received. They had only one bartender the entire night, so our drinks took forever. My husband order the steak and lobster at $70 a plate. The lobster was so small that it stuck to the shell, so he got very little lobster. I ordered the Cioppino, which was a small portion and it was cold, not to mention they forgot my bread too. We ordered two Hors D'oeuvre and only received one. The entertainment and dessert was the only positive things I could say about our experience there.

Love this place. Been coming here for years!! I had the Hawaiian Pizza and Strawberry Basil Lemonade (this one had alcohol in it). Both were delicious!! I will definitely come back.

Wow !!! Denise was absolutely fantastic!!! The whole waiting team was fantastic. She and manager Colleen handled about 40-50 guest plus the regular walk-in Clients. All our guest appreciated the prompt and friendly service. Denise was quick witted , always smiling and took great care of us ! Thank you for making our breakfast gathering that more special.

I come here often, either for food or to drop by for a few drinks. I always enjoy myself at the bar with Lindsey as the bartender! Always smiles and interesting conversations with her. Everything on the menu is great, we do wish there was more vegetarian options though. Can be a bit pricey, but the ambience and the food are a worth it. Thank you Lindsey for the great times!

Stopped by here for brunch on a Sunday morning. It wasn't too busy but still a few families eating breakfast. Parking was ok. The restaurant shares parking with the gold course so if their are a lot golfers and eater this may be an issue. LOL Customer service - Meh. Friendly but seemed a little judgey (lots of locals here) and kind of slow. Forgot a few things. I am definitely not spoiled or needs tons of attention but didn't get butter for 20 minutes or a tea for awhile after asking, had to ask again. The Food - Meh, ordered steak and eggs with homestyle potatoes and biscuit with a side of gravy. I couldn't get a side of biscuits and gravy. Not sure why. Asked for the steak medium and it came out well done. The potatoes had a lot of flavor but were soft and mushy. The eggs were a little extra over easy, over hard? The biscuit and gravy was delicious!! I may not come back out here for the breakfast. Maybe try lunch? I have a feeling it might have the same outcome as the breakfast.

I live in the neighborhood here and love this place. Everything is always prepared well and the service staff are always professional and courteous. I tend to take this place for granted because it is in my backyard. I was moved to write this review after reading a ridiculous rant by "Tim." I personally wouldn't rely on my waitress to protect me if I felt threatened and later slam her on a platform like Yelp for the world to see. We all have direct access to law enforcement at our hips nowadays. Someone threatens me I'm pulling out my cell phone and calling 911, but then I take responsibility for myself. This don't know, I wasn't there but come on dude! Take this embarrassing post down and save what is left of your manhood.

Surprisingly (after reading some of the reviews) great food & experience. Our waitress was great (I wish I could remember her name!). The place feels golf club bland, but we were there after sunset so it's probably prettier overlooking the course. The pesto tortellini, margarita pizza & seared salmon were totally worth the drive!

Great service. Wonderful breakfast. Coffee was so good! My husband got a nice Bloody and I swiped an olive. So delicious that I am currently on the hunt to find them in a residential size container! We will be back. Often.

I am sad to post this review because we have been weekly regulars for many years and throughout the pandemic with take away. Something over the past few months has impacted the food quality. Salmon often has to be returned as not cooked well enough (salmon used to be my go to item for years here) and a few weeks ago despite changing their great grass fed beef burgers to smaller size normal patties, I bit into a cold pink center. And we were happy to see weekday breakfast return but had a hangover omelet all crumbled like scrambled eggs without any kick to it anymore. All our regular dishes relied on for years, now plates we have to send back. The servers here are excellent. The drinks and bartenders are great. We love the patio and the people. And we are going to give it another month to see if things are any better with the food situation because it has made our favorite dining spot one we are sad about. I hope whoever is in charge of the food quality can post any updates when things are better so I can update this review. Thanks, Lisa (and Mark)

So we went in there and sat at the bar waited for 10 minutes not even so much as eye contact or anything. The bartender could've at least told us that he was busy and would wait on us shortly, but he didn't not even make eye contact not a word after 10 minutes we walked over to an empty table and sat there and asked if that was OK. The waitress walked by and said yes then she never came to take an order or to even tell us she would come back. We spent a total of 20 minutes with absolutely no one even giving us a menu or telling us that they would be with us shortly. And by the way, it was not that busy. I don't think I have ever been ignored that badly at any establishment in my entire life this was shocking. And there were lots of employees walking around and they literally just ignore you and don't even make eye contact. I felt like I was a ghost.

Food is ok. Pizza and burgers are the best items on the menu. A bit over priced. Appetizers are way over priced and no good happy hour deals. Staff is friendly and welcoming.

We stopped in one night to have a bite to eat, have some drinks and listen to music The one man man was leaving an hour early we still went in had our drinks ordered, but we wanted to eat Our server was very busy but friendly I had to go ask her for a second drink because she didn't get back by as she was handling a large area Since they were so busy, I'm surprised the One man left an hour early We will return. The food was good. The drinks were great the service she was busting her butt trying to cover everything.

Good cocktails and appetizers. Friendly staff. The menu changes often. The food is good - casual, American dining. It can get loud later in the afternoons or when there are high stake games. Great for locals who want to get away from the house, but not drive far. Took off one star because it can be pricey.

After driving an hour out to Ramona (a bit remote) for a tennis match we were pleasantly surprised to find this little gem! It was a Thursday afternoon and the bar was very lively. The food was so good...fried green beans, and every burger & chicken sandwich was delicious. Our server Lindsay was so friendly...we would come back just to say hi to her. Definitely stopping here again next time tennis calls us to Ramona!

Since 2020, this place has really upped the quality and variety of food. Tonight, however, was just plain awful. They gave us the new server (I'm not against new people but she was spectacularly slooooowww). She repeated the correct order but it came out wrong (a sandwich is not chicken strips). And to top it off my salad had a black hair in it (mine is brown). I expected her to discount it since I couldn't eat it, but no. I should have asked for a manager but had to leave since everything took so long.

Visited 1/16/2022 It was time to try this place as It has been on my list for some time. A great foodie and good Facebook and Yelp Friend of mine, Dan Edwards has been making my mouth water with his fabulous photos of the food here. I'm so glad I finally tried it and must thank Dan for turning me on to this great find. There is a great selection of beer, wine and other cocktails to choose from. There is plenty of seating with a great view inside and outside on the patio. Tonight I tried out the Tasty Chicken Wings with several Sauces on the side. Gotta give them 4 Stars and The Asian Sweet & Spicy Sauce and The Maple Bourbon Sauce Was very tasty. For dinner I went with The Classic Double Cheese Smashburger and Tater Tots. 1/2 pound of delicious sirloin burger. 4 1/2 Stars. The Tots were very good also. For $12.00 this Burger can't be beat anywhere. All in all I can't wait to come back and try more of the menu. Yes it's a few miles out of mainstream Ramona but it's worth the extra 6 minutes drive. See you there.

Oh my gosh...this place is SO GOOD! Ambience: The ambience is fun, and upbeat. Perfect for families or a date night! FOOD: I ordered the Steak Diane, which was a little chewy. The sauce made up for it though! The sauce was so delicious. The reason we are giving 5 stars though is because of their CHICKEN PICCATA. Wow. The best my husband and I have ever had! We also ordered the calamari for an appetizer which was delicious! Highly recommend if you're in the Ramona area!

I've been coming here for years for brunch, lunch, and dinner and there is nothing that I don't like. I recently visited for brunch and still love it. Entrees come with 2 complimentary glasses of champagne. You can upgrade to bottomless for extra $6 and $2 for side of juice. I ordered the Steak and eggs $14, which come with a side (I chose hashbrowns) and choice of bread, but she offered me a side of a pancake, which I was happy about. The steak was cooked perfectly in my opinion; tender and good amount of pink. The hashbrowns were soft in the inside and crispy on the outside. I've ordered the Huevos Rancheros in the past and was this close to getting it again because I enjoyed it. They have other items to choose from for brunch like breakfast sandwich, burrito, omelets, benedicts, and more. Service is always friendly. The bartenders have an awesome attitude. Great place to watch football on Sundays. Beautiful view of the golf course during the day. Sit outside when the weather is nice. Other entrees and sides like salads, mac n cheese, wings, pizza, dessert and much others are delicious as well.

A wonderful place to dine while visiting in Ramona. The food was good, they had music one night, and great service. We even tried local wines from local vineyards. Highly recommend.

We were staying in the nearby timeshare and went twice for dinner here during our stay. We liked it a lot. The waitstaff is super friendly. The salmon special was good, the pork poutine was amazing. It's a little overpriced for what you get and the steak was not great (chewy) but it wasn't bad either. Overall a rather enjoyable evening.

Par puts the PAR in PARty!! If we lived in Ramona we would absolutely be regulars at The Par Lounge. No question. Excellently priced beer, great menu with a variety of foods. Great service. Live music and themed nights, Par is a fun bar. We stayed at San Vicente Resort for a wedding and Par Lounge was where we spent the majority of our non-wedding time. Our only minor critique would be that the TVs are a bit small for the room. Better sightlines to the multiple TVs would be nice. Outside of that we loved Par Lounge. We are already planning a weekend with some friends (the couple who's wedding we attended) who do live in Ramona. Party at The Par!

As usual WOW! Service phenomenal (THANK YOU TONY). Food fantastic. I dine in but I also often take out. Here is the thing. Rarely can you say a restaurant quality in take out is as good as dine in, but this spot knows how to handle take out orders. Thank you, dinner is such a personal thing you ingest, and when you are confident in the people making what you consume, then happiness follows. Keep it up, we appreciate it!

I have nothing but great things to say about the establishment and the staff. if someone exhibited the behavior described in Tim's review the first thing I would do is dial 911! He stated that a Law Enforcement officer was present in his party. Wouldn't that individual be compelled to respond to this threat! As a man I would not rely on a Waitress or Yelp to protect me. What a great time I had at the Par Lounge! It was my birthday today so I decided to have dinner here. When Entering the restaurant the seating lady seated my family and I at a great table. It was quite crowded and loud inside the place. Our waitress was Victoria the lady told us. Victoria came to our table and asked us what drinks we wanted and then asked us if we wanted any appetizers. We decided to get the Calamari and the Cast Iron Brussel Sprouts. After we ordered, our appetizers came out about 15 minutes later. Unfortunately when looking at the Calamari I noticed that It was quite small. Some of the Calamari pieces turning out to be just small nuggets fried batter. The Calamari was still delicious. The Brussel Sprouts on the other hand were cooked perfectly. They were nice and crunchy,. They were seasoned well too. After we finished Victoria asked us what we wanted for our main course. I got the Shrimp Capellini with a House Salad. After we finished ordering our main courses we waited. My salad came out first. Even though I wasn't a fan of the champagne vinaigrette dressing, the salad was quite fresh and delicious. Eventually the main courses came out. My Capellini came with five large jumbo shrimp, two prices of garlic bread and a great serving of the pasta. It was very delicious. Finally at the end of the meal Victoria surprised me with an amazing chocolate cake for dessert. The cake was really rich in chocolate and tasted great. Overall my experience was not bad. If any of you decide to come here I suggest that you ask for Victoria to be your waitress because she did an excellent job serving us. I will definitely be coming back again!

Colleen calls herself a manager. She is the worst! She needs to take some customer service classes. No customer service skills and is just plain awful!!! There was a problem at the table, because they ran out of lobster soup. I was trying to talk to her and she puts the palm of her hand in my face to tell me to shut up and it was an inch away from my face. Then when she proceeds to continue to talk to my friends (because she knows them), she totally left the table and ignored me when I told her I do not want the food anymore, because I lost my appetite with her nasty attitude. She refused to say she put her hand in my face, even when my friends saw it. I wanted to address my concerns about the new menu and she tells me, everyone loves it - there is no issue. She did tell me who to talk to about it. I will be talking to the GM about this horrible manager and experience. Then she tells me that I am not educated on the menu. I told her the server told us this, so she is not educated. She refused to have any contact with me and never came to the table again. If you are a so-called manager, you need to grow up and have some customer service skills and not be nasty! Clearly, Colleen is an uneducated, rude and nasty person. I used to come here because it is close to my house and a nice little place to get a bite to eat. Now having to deal with the horrible Colleen, I will not be back. This restaurant is becoming worse with the ever changing menu and the skyrocketing prices. But, Colleen seems to know best. Because she would not take any of my comments. Hopefully, they will fire her and replace her with someone who knows customer service.

Par Lounge has very Good food, especially the fish and chips, and also the guacomole. The cheeseburgers are good , and also the sweet potato fries. The wait staff are friendly and the service is very good. A good place to meet friends and catch up on what has been going on. Casual dining atmosphere.

My expectations were not high, but the food was actually really good. Cool ambiance. I'm not from the estates, but if I were, I'd roll over in my golf cart all the time!

Best restaurant in town! The staff are always nice and efficient! It has a great atmosphere and occasionally they have live bands or artists performing. The food is always good...hubby loves the mussels appetizer as a meal...the bread dipped in the yummy garlic wine sauce is so good!

The menu selection has been paired down but they do a great job with all the menu items. I love the prime rib dinner.

Was in town for business and ended up here on accident, lucky for me! I sat at the bar and met new friends, the food was really really really really good. Tony the bartender was super friendly and funny! I hope I get to go back soon

Sometimes the food is decent, sometimes it's not. Expect slow service for the most part and be prepared to possibly be ignored by staff. New menu is overpriced for Sysco food. I only eat breakfast items here at this point in time.

Great local spot that sits on the golf course up here in Ramona. Supper local vibe and great food.

Par Lounge has a great atmosphere. Been there for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and a party. Never disappoints!
