Have you ever been weary of a car trip? Have your houseplants been slowly dying in the backseat as you trek across the desert? Imagine us, finding this hotel, reading five star reviews, not daring to hope that this breakfast oasis could possibly live up to the hype. Not only was our room impeccably clean, the lavender scented toiletries pleasant to our sniffers, BUT ALSO FIVE STAR BREAKFAST. This hotel is more like a B&B with the kindest staff (one guy felt more like a meditative sensei than a front desk employee) and a charming courtyard. Walkable location, really happy we found this gem. YOU TOO SHOULD COME TRY THE PANCAKES.

Very much enjoyed our night at the Parador. Our room was cozy, with a very comfortable bed and pillows. It was spotlessly clean, the shower had excellent water pressure and very nice lavender toiletries. The breakfast was excellent as well. We also appreciated that it is centrally located; we were able to walk to several spots for drinks and dinner. We will be back!

What a beautiful place! Love the design and decorations. You feel like you are in a home in Santa Fe. The breakfast is delicious, especially the fluffy pancakes drenched in a berry sauce! There is ample parking in the back. It's a short walk to the plaza and museums. The staff is so helpful. Also love the garden patio. Highly recommend this place!

As a couple, we really liked the vibe of this hotel. We were there for three nights. We were pleased that there was no TV in our room. There was an ambiance to our room and the hotel that we really liked. The driveway is a little narrow and rough, but not a problem if you are careful. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was a selection of several preset dishes that we enjoyed, I would call it gourmet. It’s close enough to downtown that it should be an easy walk for most people, but we had no problem booking Ubers quickly and cheaply. We would be happy to stay here again, although, we did have one problem that prevents me from making this a 5 star review. The first night I was there I slipped and fell in the bath tub while taking a shower. I cut my elbow and had lower back pain for several days after. Two nights later, even though I was very carful, I almost had a repeat. They need to get some kind of tub mat to eliminate this problem; there’s a real chance of getting seriously injured at this place.

One word: breakfast. The menu was small--three options--so we had an opportunity to try each item. EVERY SINGLE OPTION WAS PERFECTION! My favorite was the biscuit and gravy (photo). The Calabrian chili oil was the exact pop of acidity and spice to balance the richness of the gravy, and the biscuits were light and fluffy and oh-so-good. Of course, the bedroom was clean, well-appointed, and quiet--but I still have dreams about that breakfast!

Perfect place to stay in Santa Fe! We enjoyed everything, the location is central. The room was clean and cozy! They also include amazing breakfast each morning with your stay. The staff was very friendly and good with communication. Thank you for the amazing stay!

Google
Really enjoyed our 4 night stay. We are walkers so being close to the shopping and restaurants was a great advantage. The breakfasts were out of this world, truly gourmet. Our room was very clean and well maintained. Walls are solid so did not hear others coming in and out. My only mini-complaint was I wish the office was open a few more hours.

Google
Selen (hope I got spelling right!) at the front desk was so helpful and friendly. Breakfast was incredible. I had to try out a few different hotels in Santa Fe just to see what it had to offer and this had to be my favorite, from being centrally located to delicious breakfasts and service and clean rooms.

Yelp
Booked for a few nights but I couldn't wait to already check out after first night: - Seen 3 spiders by the sink (I took a video so I have proof) on first night which makes my entire stay uncomfortable - There's no TV in the room so you can hear every conversation next door, even the sneeze and coughs. - Room 1 is the miserable room - located next to main door so you'll hear every person that goes in and out of the main area/lobby/restaurant. Plus there's a direct outdoor dining for breakfast right outside your door, there goes your wake up call. No need to set your alarm coz you'll hear every conversation, laughs and noise of spoons/forks during breakfast. - Be careful taking a bath/shower, tub is very slippery even with a rubber mat (it doesn't stick) Honestly, I'd rather pay more just to get a well-rested sleep. The $$$$ rate isn't worth it, will choose a different accommodation next time.

Yelp
We really enjoyed our stay at the Parador. Santa Fe is a lovely place for a long weekend getaway. The Parador brings all the ambience of old Santa Fe to you in simple but stylish and cozy accommodation. Lovely location. Charming architecture. Walking distance from all the best of Santa Fe. We had a small issue with the first room we booked on the day before departure. The inn host was kind enough to move us and we liked the second room so well that when we come back to SF, we will book that room. The first one was nice, but when we booked we didn't really know much about the decor differences among the rooms. Now we know and we are looking forward to returning soon. Breakfast was great. The Parador backs up to the Santa Fe Brewing Company's tap room. There's a nice outdoor patio area where you can enjoy a pint. It's not too close to the Inn, so you still enjoy quiet and privacy but the tap room, if you enjoy a good IPA, is an unexpected perk!

Yelp
Hidden-gem and boutique hotel. This place houses the true spirit of SanteFe - small, quiet, casual, spiritual, beautiful, artistic, earthen, community. It's located on a side street with east walking access to the downtown square, the rail yards, and canyon road galleries. The rooms are perfectly redone with wifi but NO TVs (thank the heavens!!). The vegetarian breakfast and amazing coffee in the quaint, courtyard garden will set you up for a great day walking the city, museums or hiking trails. The staff have become my friends. They are honest, real and extremely hard working. If you're looking for valet parking, staff-servants, shampoo you can steal, giant TVs, and a bar to waste the golden sunset hour, there are hundreds of options in town. If your looking for a soulful retreat and artistic hub with artistic intellectuals - this is one of very few places in town. The Parador feels like you're staying in an old family friends home. Don't take that lightly, because it's simplicity IS its beauty. Thank you Eban, Grace, Martin and friends. The Parador is a gem.

Yelp
Great experience for my first time using Air BnB. I was in town on business and stayed at the Eldorado, where the conference took place. Parador was a breath of fresh air and more my aesthetic than the Eldorado, which I find to be a bit stuffy. The Communer 3 was small but my husband likes staying in micro type rooms. The decor was playful and fresh, bed was super comfty, breakfast was delicious, and service was friendly. The only complaints (and not necessarily worth taking off a star) is that there were some black ants in our room. It probably could have been taken care of if we asked the front desk for bug spray. The parking area is rather tight where only one vehicle can enter/exit at a tome. I would imagine that if one vehicle tried to enter while another tried to exit, one of the vehicles would need to reverse and get out of the way of the other vehicle. Within walking distance of Restaurant Martin and Radish & Rye (the latter of which I highly recommend). I would stay here again if a room is offered through Air BnB since the cost was less than booking directly through Parador's site.

Yelp
Stayed in the spring season, good experience! The room was super clean - wonderful housekeeping team! The milpa at breakfast was great. Convenient location. We did see a few spiders, but it was raining a lot during our stay. Wifi could definitely be better. Overall, good to place to stay in Santa Fe and we would come back!

Yelp
Breakfast was the high point. Delicious good food in a nice dining room with pleasant staff. Unfortunately we felt compelled to eat and depart quickly as the unmasked young woman at the table next to us was continuously coughing. We stayed in the Sun Suite, an old, but adequate lodging with a few marked downsides. -- The Sun Suite is on the corner of two city streets and the paper-thin walls do nothing to keep out the noise of passing vehicles or even the boisterous conversations of inebriated patrons departing from the pubs and restaurants down the block. -- The paper thin walls also did nothing to shield us from the barks and scratches of the dog in the adjoining room who seemed quite interested in the possibility of human company.  The complete absence of any human noises suggest Fido had been left on his own.  I'm certain that even whispered conversations would carry through the thin walls as if through air.  Thank goodness there was not a honeymooning couple next door. -- On a cold December day, the heating system struggled to keep the room temperature at 65°F even though the thermostat was set to 82°F when we arrived.  -- The suite is infested with boxelder bugs.  I noticed the first one as it climbed onto my leg from the couch cushion. I eventually killed four.  Upon our return home we will have to unpack our bags outside and make a thorough inspection to ensure we do not import a beefing pair into our home.  A serious inconvenience. The Parador offered to refund 45% of our bill after I brought the bugs to their attention.

Yelp
There is nothing bad to say about this place. I had an amazing here. The food is delicious and the staff are friendly and knowledgeable. The location is slightly off the beaten path but close to everything. The rooms are beautiful and the ambiance can't be beat. I hope to come back soon!

Yelp
This place is so charming and cute but I had a few frustrations - 1. No breakfast offered 2. We asked the very friendly front desk staff for more coffee, water, and sugar in our room and it was never delivered 3. The walls are understandably thin since it's an old building but starting at 6:30 am each morning, the people next door to us were SO LOUD. There was a kid staying with them and I could hear every word they were saying and hear every stomping footstep. Not to be a Scrooge, but I feel like in a rustic building like this maybe kids shouldn't be allowed. 4. We didn't realize there was a coffee bar or recommendations for the area - I'm under 30 and would still prefer a written handout of these things rather than a QR code

Yelp
Things to know before you book here: This B&B is quaint and borderline rustic and has an excellent location. Our room was heated by a space heater despite baseboards and A/C and heat unit that are both apparently broken. Poor lighting throughout the room. Profoundly uncomfortable bed, but big. The breakfast menu doesn't match what's on their website. The version online looked far tastier than the current offerings. No TV on site, which is fine if that's your jam. They need better ice management on the walking surfaces outside, including the parking lot. The roof's poor drainage system doesn't help the ice situation either. There's a long coaxial cable hanging off the side of the building along the driveway. No clocks in the room, which, again, is fine if you want to be on vacation time. All of their soaps are lavender based.

Yelp
This is my second stay at El Paradero. A friend and I stay here when we are going to the opera. This is a quiet property that is tucked back on a side street near the Santa Fe Plaza but not too near. Unless you are used to walking a lot, it's a bit too far to walk to the plaza but there are a lot of other things that are nearby including the State Capitol and restaurants. It's a quick 3 - 5 minute drive to pretty much anyplace in Santa Fe, unless you are taking Cerrillos (stay away from Cerrillos if you know what's good for you!) As far as the rooms, they are small to medium, decorated in Spanish and/or Santa Fe style. Some of the rooms have bathrooms while others have private bathrooms but they are not attached to the rooms. That was the case for this stay, but to be honest, it was no big deal There is a sink in the room so you can still wash your face without having to head a few steps down the hall. Like most B & Bs there is no TV (YAY!) and they have several common areas with art, books, games, etc. They have a lovely afternoon tea, that includes coffee, other drinks (sometimes fresh squeezed juice) and lovely tarts, cakes, pies and/or cookies to munch on. Breakfast has been delicious both times we've been there and they will do non-dairy options (and probably other dietary restrictions) if you ask ahead. They will let you know if they are unable to accommodate your dietary needs but they've always been able to accommodate my friends'. This time we had pancakes, bacon and they always have cereal, coffee, tea, juice and/or milk. There is private, off-street parking at the back of the property. My favorite part? I love the outdoor courtyard (a lovely spot for afternoon tea and/or breakfast). There are various local/regional plants, lots of tables and chairs, and a large fountain where myriad birds like to come and bath. It's a great way to pass the time and relax. The customer service is great also. All around a great place to stay in Santa Fe. In fact, we will be staying here again when we hit the opera again in August. I highly recommend El Paradero for a relaxing and quaint rest stop for whatever journey you might be on.

Yelp
The room is cozy. But what surprised me most is their breakfast, oh no, you should call that brunch. The chef is talented and creative. The masala tea with oak milk is fantastic.

Tanja T.

Yelp
Not sure what the rave is about. Our room is dark and looks like something out of a budget selection. Maybe $175++ is budget but we've spent just about the same every night we've been on this trip and had a lot better and I mean a lot better.

Yelp
I attended a music event at this little inn in November, 2018. This is a historic building which has a few quirks, as do all historic structures. The negative was that I found the bed a bit a bit uncomfortable, but I understand that these are new owners who are planning to replace the beds in the near future. The room we stayed in was upstairs (Room 10), and it was a small attic type room that felt a bit cramped. The positives...the proprietors are wonderful, accommodating, and incredibly sweet. The breakfasts were wonderful and true to the Santa Fe cuisine. The common areas are lovely, and even though our group pretty much took over the inn, the owners seemed committed to making sure we had a great time..which we did. I'm not sure how to rate this place...but I'd say 3 1/2 stars for he comfort level...but 5 stars for the attentive service and amazing service. Sooo...4 stars, since I'd rather have welcoming innkeepers than fancy accommodations.

Yelp
Cozy room, loved the fire place in October. My wife didn't like the detached bathroom, but that's on me - it's in the description for Room 8. Just be aware that not all rooms have a bathroom attached in-room. Breakfast was excellent both days. Chorizo Quesadillas & Huevos Rancheros with colorful fruit... all of which seemed fresh. The hostess Sue was helpful with recommendations and overall very nice, but both my wife and I thought that the breakfast server was annoyed with us. I communicated a late check-in via email to which I received a reply, but was never asked what time we wanted breakfast. They have 30 minute time slots beginning at 8:00am that you sign up for when you check-in. With a late check-in you aren't afforded that opportunity. We were given a 9:00am time slot, but being on EST, that would put us eating breakfast at 11am. We wanted to start our day, so I headed to the kitchen when it opened to ask for an earlier time, and it didn't seem appreciated. They obliged, but it was obvious that they wanted me to stick with the 9am slot. This wasn't a huge deal, but communication could have been better. We'd have never selected 9am had we been given the choice ahead of time. The grounds are accommodating and we didn't have any issue with the stay otherwise. Parking is a little tight. I was thankful for the compact car that we rented... I'm not sure how easy navigating an SUV (especially at night) would be. We'd return if we ever go back to Santa Fe... the complaints above were minimal, and I'd probably just pick a room with an attached bath. As for the reviewer that spoke of the tiny shower - perhaps ask before booking here, because Room 8's shower (although across the hall) was big enough for my wife and I to share at the same time. There's currently a drought there, you know. :)

Yelp
So happy at this cute b&b. The rooms were great and the service was wonderful. Every day we had the breakfast here which was included with the rooms and it was wonderful all home made. In the evenings they had tea coffee and wonderful pastries. This place is under new ownership and the new owners are wonderful engaging host. It's location worked for us close to train station as well as downtown. Highly recommend and I hope to be back again.

Yelp
OMG! My sister and I stayed at this place from Fri-Sunday to attend the Indian Market. They had only 1 bath towel on Friday for each guest. (We requested two and did get it on Saturday) No bath mats at all. There is no one to call after 5pm each day. The cobblestones in the breakfast area were all broken and I tripped but did not fall luckily. New owners bought the property several months ago and a guest said it was not the same anymore. One of the curtains had no blinds and you can see right into our room as we were where the parking is in the back. No bottled water. The brreakfast was not bad but offered the same menu every day. They ran out of some fruit not even .30 minutes into the breakfast. The upper lock was not even secured and therefore we were unable to lock it from the outside. This place was not good.

Yelp
Nice B+B right outside of the main Santa Fe plaza. Walking distance to all the city restaurants and shops. nice patio and cute rooms. breakfast was good and filling. communal areas were nice and clean. Bathrooms were somewhat cramped, but otherwise a great stay.

Yelp
Cute b&b with lots of character. Rooms have adobo look with woos beams, native decorations, and kiva fireplaces There was a cold snap in Santa Fe when we visited so we made heavy use of the fireplace in the room-we stayed it room #3. Looks like rooms 1-3 have external entrances while the others are off a common hallway. There was a courtyard outside the external entry rooms that we couldn't make use of but looked really cute for a warm day. Our room also had a really cool skylight over the bathroom/sink area. Location is about 5-6 blocks or 10 min walk to downtown but also has some other restaurants nearby. No tvs in room but there is one in the den area. Another reviewer mentioned the showers are small-ours was smaller than our single standup shower at home but we didn't see at as a huge issue (and were only here one night). Tea time is between 3:30-4 with tea and pastries. My boyfriend was disappointed in the breakfast portion of the B&B, which he considers a significant part of the experience. The food was good but had no Southwest flair, which he was looking for (and is the reason for my taking one star off the review).

Yelp
This is a charming B&B, with helpful staff. We stayed there a couple of weeks ago. The breakfast person was especially helpful about things to do and see. Breakfast was delicious, and beautifully presented, either in the dining room, or if enough seats are available, on the patio. We didn't indulge in tea-time but we saw the offerings, and they were tempting. It was close enough to the Plaza for most to walk, but not as close as we'd assumed from the description. It taxed my bad leg to walk both ways, but I made it. My only complaint: the shower was not just small, it was TEENSY. I found it impossible to wash and rinse all my body without leaving the shower door open so that I had room to move under the shower flow. And I'm not a large or tall person. It was even difficult to wash my hair in the shower and my taller husband found it impossible. This could be mostly ameliorated by changing the shower head to the detachable hand-held type. This wouldn't be a very expensive change and would have made a world of difference in my annoyance level in the mornings! Room Tip: I'm sure all the showers aren't so small...ask for a room with a bigger one!

Yelp
We chose this B&B based on Trip Advisor reviews, and were not disappointed. Our room (Room 12) was very large, with a queen bed and sitting area, and had a spacious bathroom as well. The decor was cute, country house style. The front desk workers were very sweet and welcoming, and introduced us with a tour of the space. Afternoon tea was a nice treat, with yummy baked goods along with a wide assortment of teas and coffee. Breakfast was good, though I might have enjoyed the chance for another meal out instead. The building is located a short walk to the plaza, probably 10 minutes at the very most. We stumbled upon an amazing restaurant in this more removed part of town, just a few blocks from the Inn called Restaurant Martin. What a great find that we never would have discovered if we'd been staying elsewhere!

Yelp
Such a great find!! We absolutely loved our stay at El Paradero. The service was excellent. Everyone was very friendly, and they even stayed a bit late to check us in when we arrived. We were also given pastries and coffee after tea time. Tea time was great! It was a nice way to meet other people staying there. The pastries were yummy, and there were many selections of tea as well as coffee and hot chocolate. Breakfast was pretty good. Some meals were better than others. However, we always left the breakfast table full and happy. Our room was very adorable and really clean! It felt really homey. The entire B&B's decor was a very cute southwestern style. They have a great sitting area in the front with board games, a tv, fireplace, etc. Perfect location! Located very close to everything but still on a quaint street. Lots of parking in the back. Only two problems were that the wireless internet was not so good. We had a whole day once without it. Also, we paid a bit extra to have a fireplace. We tried lighting a fire every night but to no avail. We later found out that the batch of wood they had was not dried properly. Overall, we had a great experience!

Yelp
I adore El Paradero Bed and Breakfast Inn. I came to Santa Fe all the way from Australia, and was warmly welcomed and made to feel at home immediately by the lovely owner Sue when I arrived. The Inn is beautifully decorated by both Sue and her husband Paul, who are both creative and have bestowed upon the lucky guests at the Inn their artistic flair. My room is cosy, peaceful and inviting. I was shown all around the Inn, so I would know where everything was and be able to make myself at home. There is a wonderful, home style Breakfast each morning, with tea, coffee and delicious treats made available for afternoon tea. The Inn is within walking distance to both Canyon Road and the Plaza. I am loving my time here!I highly recommend that you stay here when you visit Santa Fe. I will definitely be returning. There was a couple with whom I spoke to at breakfast, who told me this was their fifth stay! The Inn was once a Farmhouse, and is a unique, private and safe space with a warm, friendly and calm atmosphere.

Yelp
I've been there twice (you can read my reviews on Trip Advisor) and I think the place is just great. I think it's a good price for Santa Fe, the owners are friendly and helpful, the atmosphere is very pleasant, and breakfast is always delicious; it's close to the Plaza. The rooms closer to the patio seem to be a little quieter and airy but all the rooms I've stayed in have been very nice. Remember that if you're gonna go to Santa Fe in August, that you gotta make reservations early 'cause of the opera season. I have stayed at a total of 6 different places in Santa Fe and, while not the fanciest, it is certainly the best deal and beautiful. See my photos of breakfast that they served in the photo section.

Yelp
We stumbled across this gem on a cross-country road trip. After a few nights of staying in cookie cutter hotels, we thought it might be nice to try something a bit more unique. We wound up picking El Paradero largely on the strength of its reviews at Yelp and elsewhere, and we were very happy with the decision. The building itself is beautiful, and there's a very pleasant shared garden area for guests to sit in. The rooms themselves are fairly small, but 1) that's to be expected given the fact it wasn't originally built to be a hotel and 2) they were still very comfortable. They have a very nice library area for quiet reading, along with a shared den-type area with a variety of board games. I was actually disappointed that we were only passing through, because I would have enjoyed taking advantage of those a bit more. We had our breakfast on the porch, and it was spectacular. It's a combination of made to order entrees and a small bar with a variety of breads, fruits, and cereals. It's not next door to very much in the way of restaurants or attractions, but the downtown area is within easy walking distance. Awesome place, we'll definitely be staying here again if we make it back to Santa Fe.

Yelp
Stayed at El Paradero B&B on Oct 19. This is the second time my husband and I have stayed here. As always the rooms and staff are wonderful. The afternoon tea was delicious and welcome treat after a long drive. However, I have to say the breakfast was not good. The offering was a breakfast sandwich with potatoes on the side. The bread for the sandwich was an English muffin that was not toasted and so is was very doughy. The potatoes were mushy and very greasy. The fruit on the plate was excellent.

Yelp
DO NOT STAY AT THIS PLACE. I know there are a lot of very good reviews. THESE REVIEWS WERE DURING THE PRIOR OWNERSHIP. While the rooms may remind you that you are in Santa Fe, the items in the rooms are DIRTY and not cleaned periodically. They DO NOT SUPPLY enough towels, the toilet paper is presented in an unsanitary bag, there is NO access to an Emergency Phone Number, NO access to drinking water during the evening. The COURTYARD is in DIRE NEED of repair. Its Super Easy to Fall on the Broken Cobblestones and BREAK your head. The room I stayed in faces the parking lot, and anyone can SEE IN the Window. There are NO TELEVISIONS in the Property. In today's world, having access to a Television is pretty much a necessity. There are NO phones in the Parador for guests to use. So if there is an emergency, you better have a cell phone, and hope that their shoddy wi-fi works. NOT a place I would ever recommend to anyone. I was also told by others who stayed here in previous years, that the property is NOW MUCH different than in the past, to its detriment. The Property falsely advertises, claiming they have items they don't have. I can go on and on. If you care about cleanliness, your safety, and getting what you TRULY PAY FOR, DO NOT STAY HERE. The one star is because I have to give at least one star. This doesn't deserve even the one star.

Yelp
We booked this place following Lonely Planet's recommendation and were really satisfied with it. On the one hand, it's not a "traditional" B&B and there are people running it; on the other hand, it was cozy, had board games and a reading room, perfect local rooms, and an incredibly colorful breakfast! Walking distance from anything we needed "downtown" (including Whole Foods, REI, the Plaza, and the State Capitol) - with east access to hiking spots on the east side. We had a great stay.

Vaughn V.

Yelp
Great little B&B within walking distance to downtown Santa Fe and also the Santa Fe Farmer's Market. The rooms were spotless and there is a nice outdoor area where you can enjoy your breakfasts, other meals, and coffee and/or tea. Fantastic breakfasts varied from day to day. Not sure about the other review questioning the food because it was absolutely delicious! Lots of reading material for us after hours and all of the staff that we encountered were friendly and very helpful. The only gripe that we have is that we didn't live closer-- truly a home away from home! On our day of departure, we were given a little travel pack of snacks for us to take with us on the plane. Thank God for that! We most certainly will return!
google avatar

J. W.

Yelp
This B&B is so quiet and quaint that we easily missed it, driving by without a second thought. For January 2010, we were able to book a reasonably priced room on the road, the night before. As we were traveling with our small dog, our accommodation options were limited for Santa Fe, but we were glad to have noticed this one right away on the shortlist of pet-friendly hotels. The staff was very accepting of our pet; if your dog doesn't whine, bark, or freak out when left alone, i.e., a latchkey dog, then you are allowed to leave your dog unattended in your room as a courtesy. Downtown Santa Fe, a short walking distance from the inn, is basically dog-friendly as well and we took our dog along as we shopped and explored.

Yelp
A really nice and small B&B in Santa Fe. For it's size, they do a great job. Is walking distance (10 minutes) from downtown. Homemade breakfast each morning is hit or miss - but its gauranteed to be authentic Southwestern cuisine. It's a solid B&B for a small town like Santa Fe and you could do much worse.

Yelp
I found it hard to choose a B&B in Santa Fe since there were so many options, this place is wonderful! I spent a night in SF, and had a charming room with a wood fireplace in it. The food and management was excellent. Great location to the plaza, just a short 5 block walk. They also set up reservations for me etc. Note that some of the rooms (just a few) have a separate bathroom where you have to go into the hall. Still a private bath, but if a bathroom in your room is something you need, just ask before booking. REALLY great spot, I'd stay here again.

We had a wonderful stay at this bed and breakfast. The rooms and community areas were spacious. The breakfasts each morning were delicious, and we always cleared our plates. Although not right downtown, we were within 10 minute walk to downtown and all restaurants.

Yelp
My wife and I spent a long-anticipated weekend in Santa Fe, and were very excited to discover this handsome and convenient B&B. The staff was charming and helpful, our room was beautifully appointed with lovely New Mexican and country antique touches, and I could go on and on about the breakfasts and afternoon teas in the delightful, sunny dining room and patio. The owners, Sue Jett and Paul Elliott, are gracious and friendly, and clearly put time and thought into every detail of their guests' comfort. We had the most relaxing and enjoyable time, and look forward to making El Paradero a regular retreat. Five stars.

Yelp
We had a wonderful anniversary weekend at El Paradero. We splurged a bit and got the Pino Suite. It was wonderful to have a nice big space to ourselves. It's a very short walk away from the main house, which we appreciated. We weren't subject to the comings and goings of other guests. It is close to the plaza, and even has a teeny tiny kitchen in a closet (which is really all you need!) We walked over to Trader Joe's one evening (about a mile) and brought home a quiet dinner one night. I thought the breakfasts were wonderful, and the afternoon tea had the most wonderful desserts. I would not hesitate to stay there again. I would encourage you to consider the suites, though, as I think that's what made our stay really stand out.

Yelp
My boyfriend and I spent the weekend here over Valentine's/President's weekend. We were so impressed with the hospitality from the friendly welcome, afternoon tea, cozy shared areas and a really nice outdoor area where we spent a lot of time drinking wine and playing board games in our down time. Our room was the perfect size for the two of us and reasonably priced. The breakfasts in the morning were delicious. We were also such a close walk to the Railyard (3 blocks) and the Plaza (5 blocks), where there is tons of stuff to see and do. We also received a list of recommended places to go to eat and things to do which helped us further craft our vacation. We're in our mid-twenties and though we may have been the youngest guests, I'd still highly recommend this place!

Yelp
What a lovely retreat in Sta. Fe! We were greeted warmly and given a wealth of information about the inn, sights to see, and restaurants to try by Paige. We settled into a sweet room with working fireplace, gorgeously appointed with Southwest and Mexican artifacts. Breakfast each morning was yummy. We were within walking distance of all the sights in town. what a great stay! Can't wait to come back!!

Yelp
I can't use enough superlatives to describe this guest house. The décor is beautiful, the owners are friendly and the food is great. When a friend had recommended the place, I knew it would be nice, but I didn't expect it to be over-the-top FANTASTIC. I work a high-stress job and need to get away for a while. After a few days at El Paradero I was so relaxed I felt I could go home and face anything. I will definitely return over and over again.

Yelp
My husband and I visited Santa Fe for the very first time in late October. We have stayed at many B&B's throughout our travels but none have compared to this beautifully appointed Inn with its amazing staff. We stayed for 3 nights in Room #6 with the wood-fired kiva, loved it! The Inn is within walking distance of the lovely downtown area too. On our first night there, we walked to a nearby 4 star restaurant for dinner. Unfortunately, we ended up with food poisoning (it can happen anywhere) and the remainder of our trip was a little bit marred by this experience. Our innkeeper, Sue, and her staff showed so much compassion for our situation - trips to the store for ginger ale and electrolytes, tea and dry toast, etc. We just hunkered down and concentrated on getting well. We will be going back to Santa Fe for another visit to see all of the things that we missed while we were there - and we will take our good friends with us. I will make sure to reserve Room #6 at the El Paradero for our next visit!

Yelp
My family and I have been coming here for years. The breakfasts are wonderful. Filling, but not heavy. A perfect way to start a day of sightseeing. We always love coming back to the inn for afternoon tea before heading back out to finish our day. The inn is reasonably quiet, with plenty of parking and very close to the plaza. The rooms are good in terms of size, comfort, and are nicely decorated.

Yelp
This inn is lovely in every way. Beautifully decorated, with an eye toward its historic past and the love of art for which Santa Fe is renowned. Tucked away on a side street 4 or 5 blocks from the Plaza, it is surprisingly large with more choice of rooms than many B & B's. Inn owner Sue Jett was wonderful to work with in accomodating some special needs for my mother, who is not in great health. The beds are super comfortable, the food is incredible--and plentiful--and the whole facility is as charming as it is historic. We found it by accident when looking for somewhere to move to when our original hotel didn't work out and thank goodness we did. We'll book here first next time!!!!

Yelp
I knew this place would kick ass when we walked in the door and the lovely aroma of butter, cinnamon and apples met my nose. What better welcome than that? FANTASTIC B&B with excellent attention to detail to high quality touches. This place has sublime food (for their tea alone, is worth a stay. When we were here they had butterscotch cheese cake, apple tart, chocolate dipped strawberried and lemon tarts -- all to die for) and for breakfast the next day they had gingerbread pancakes with mango fool and chicken sausage. Their home made granola is awesome. Not too sweet, full of yummy things and pretty to look at. The service was great. Friendly and helpful but not cloying. The room was super clean. One of the owners is a cinematographer and his stunning black and white photos are tastefully displayed in the common areas, which are comfortable, well decorated (someone has a killer eye for color here) and well thought out (pens on the little common computer area for your Yelp! notes for favorite restaurants, free wi-fi, lots of wood stocked for a fire if you have a fireplace in your bedroom etc). And add easy, pleasant walk to the Plaza and basically this place is a no brainer for a repeat stay for us.
