This hotel is probably at the best possible location for anything related to U.S. Visa work — but unfortunately, things go downhill from there. It’s been declining for quite some time. We arrived around 1:20 PM, and the lady at the reception said the room wasn’t ready and that many other guests were waiting too. We waited patiently till 2:10 PM and went back to check, only to find out the room was already ready — they just didn’t bother informing us. That lack of basic courtesy really stood out. This was my fourth stay here, and probably my last. The rooms are now very old and badly need renovation. The bathrooms are leaky, damp, and have a persistent foul smell. My wife informed the front desk about the issue, but instead of checking on it, they just sent the housekeeping team for cleaning. The housekeeping staff did their best, but the odor remained. No one from the front desk even followed up to see if things were fine. To be fair, the housekeeping staff were much more polite, attentive, and genuinely concerned about our comfort than the front desk team. The mini fridge doesn’t cool properly, and there’s a constant unpleasant smell in the room. After four stays here, I think it’s time to look for a better alternative.

The Park Hotel in Anna Salai is a luxury hotel located very near to the US consulate. The hotel is built with grandeur in mind. It has a very big lobby, with a large enough seating or waiting area and with ample staff at reception, thus smooth check-in and check-out. I had a booked a room with them but did not process the payment first. Due to travel delays, I reached the hotel at 1:15 AM. The staff arranged a room for me, that too with an upgrade and seamlessly changed it to normal room the next day. The hotel staff is co-operative. Coming to the rooms, they reflect opulence and calmness. The rooms are prepared with comfort of the traveler in mind. All the facilities be it the bed, the washrooms, lounge are comfortable. The only concern in the room 6009 (where I stayed) is the power plugs don't work. I couldn't charge my phone. Plus I expected the TVs to be smart or working at the bare minimum. You couldn't change channels apart from Sun TV tamil news. That could have been better.

We chose this hotel for quality, comfort, hygiene and ambience needs and based on our past experience with this hotel. The room booked was supposed to be the best of double deluxe as per the price (about USD 120 in Oct 2025). The experience, however, was less than satisfactory from this perspective. At the reception, they negotiated down the room allotment by skipping the bath tub. The room was smaller and the interior design was sub-par. The exterior view was that of a building under construction at the next site due to which we had to keep the curtains closed all the time. There were some issues with the room facilities too. A bed lamp was just not turning off till we unplugged it. The TV had very limited channel options, pantry had only a certain type of coffee and tea unlike what we typically get in such a room. Even the shower water was not draining off well. The wifi signal was not poor but the data rate was limited to 8mbps as part of the room package. Overall, we were feeling cramped in the toilet, the bath and in the room itself. The complimentary breakfast was a nice, elaborate spread of continental and Indian options. However, the quality of the food was average for our taste buds. We had much better experience with the same hotel during our earlier visits but this time it was a disappointment.

Located in a bustling area of the town, very close to US consulate. Rooms are spacious and comfortable. Staff are very courteous and professional and helpful. Only complaint I have is about TV. All the channels are in Tamil. I couldn't find any english channel. If it is there, it is buried deep inside. It would be helpful if you include some channels for non Tamil speakers and print the list and attach it somewhere near t. V.

Pros - Asha, Babita, and Lal did a great job with room service. Ensured we were comfortable and helped us with multiple requests. - 10/10 hospitality overall - The spa, pool, and gym were a great way to relax after a long day. - Our family loved the breakfast buffet as well, good variety. - Close to visa biometrics and US embassy (you can easily walk over) - ~2 hour drive away from Mahabalipuram, close to T Nagar and Marina beach Cons - There was a constant weird dampness in the room and bathroom, wish they had better exhausts and ventilation - No business center, wifi speed on the slower end, challenging if you need to do office work

Very disappointed with my stay at this hotel. The bathroom was dirty — the bathtub and sink were filthy and wastewater didn’t drain properly. There was also a pipe leakage under the sink that took almost three hours to fix and only done after I raised my voice several times. The receptionist was unhelpful and slow to respond. The hotel environment was extremely noisy due to the bar’s loud music, very disturbing to guests who walk around. The swimming pool was 5 feet 6 inches deep — suitable only for adults and a big NO for kids. Even after being moved to another room, the same problem persisted. Worst of all, no apology was offered by the floor manager or staff. Overall, a terrible experience — poor cleanliness, unprofessional service and bad management. Definitely not worth the money or recommendation.

Located very near to US Consulate. Perfect if you got a interview and don't want to worry about your belongings. Overall very good experience the hotel is spacious and well decorated. The rooms also pretty spacious although the washroom feels a little cramped. I got issues with no hot water coming in washroom and they took 1.5 hours to send someone to check which is not convenient if someone's in a rush. The wifi connection also had a lot of drops. Overall not the best Park hotel i have been too.

Quite disappointed with my stay at The Park Hotel. While it’s in a very convenient location especially the proximity to US consulate (4 min walk) and Biometrics location 15 min walk or 5 min cab ride, the rooms and hallways had a strong damp, musty smell, and there were clear signs of poor maintenance — peeling paint, worn-out carpets, and an overall neglected vibe. Breakfast and service were good, but that’s about the only positive. For the price they charge, this felt more like a 2-star hotel at best and definitely not worth the rate. I had another upcoming reservation booked for my visa interview but have cancelled that reservation and booked a bit farther hotel as a bit of commute is better than staying in unhygienic conditions.
