Amazing hotel. Rooms were spacious with fantastic views over the bay. I am not a fan of futons but the futons and pillows here were the best. Dinner and breakfast were both great.

Very scenic views (for ocean facing rooms) and comfortable Japanese style rooms. They also have Western style rooms. The breakfast and dinner buffet was excellent with lots of tasty seafood, but they did not have the famous local oysters during our stay. Beautiful, but steep, walking trails down to Jodogahama Beach. We didn't use the onsen, but I'm sure it's very nice.

I been stayed there with my family and did have a thoughtful reception, the crews who handled the check in, front desk had provided us a excellent service. Also very good serving on dinner & breakfast, very impressed for their service. We did have a great stay there.

The location is beautiful and the views from the car park assured us we had chosen well. Check in was helpful and all facilities were fully explained at this time, allowing us to book our dining time. The room was comfortable and traditional; the view, amazing! With an afternoon of sunshine, time was taken to enjoy the view in a temperature controlled setting. There was a beautiful tea set and tea provided along with some complementary snacks and water. The toiletries provided were lovely and I shall certainly be looking to purchase these for my home.Dinner was a Chinese style buffet, with an excellent selection of dishes. Barbecues for the table and delicious sashimi and hand prepared sushi. Soups, stews, salad and more! To follow was an assortment of cakes and ice creams. Staff were very helpful and polite and the food was filling and delicious. We then retired to the hotel bar where we were again greeted by a lovely member of staff.Upon return to our room, futons had been prepared and the room made ready for sleep. These were surprisingly comfortable.Breakfast was also delicious with a huge array of dishes to choose from. Check out was simple and staff were helpful and polite.I will definitely be returning!I

We were amazed by the wonderful views from the hotel and especially our room. Also - when you stay be sure to request the special dinners! Their sushi kaiseki is fantastic!! And of course their staff are all very friendly and they keep the place spotless. |Also - it’s a short walk to Japan’s 3rd most favorite beach as well as boat rides to highlight the beautiful cliffs. Our favorite hotel so far!!

Stunning location! Walked into the lobby and was floored by panoramic views of the cape. The hotel isn't modern or new, but it's well-maintained. Stayed in the tatami room and it's extremely spacious. Opt for the dinner buffet as there aren't lots of dining options unless you drive. Breakfast was full of Western and Japanese options. Oiishi!

It’s a very unique place. We stayed for 3 nights. The hotel is very high Standart but a bit old fashioned. The Room was very clean and spacious. We had breakfast included which was delicious and had a big variety of dishes. The onsen is fantastic and even with tattoos very friendly. I can recommend going there. The one thing I would recommend is going with a car. Public transportation is not that great in Miyako

We stayed here two nights as a part of our hike along the Michinoku Coastal Trail. The location is wonderful. The staff were all very helpful and pleasant. The food at both the dinner and breakfast buffets was delicious and there was so much to choose from. The rooms were quiet and clean and comfortable. We recommend and would stay again. It would just be nice if they had laundry.

Yelp
We had a wonderful time here and view from our room was absolutely stunning! The service was awesome and food was excellent. Well you can see from my pictures a little of the ambiance. This hotel gave us the traditional onsen feel and we loved the family atmosphere. If you ever want to explore the Iwate prefecture this great hotel to start and highly recommend that you visit the national park area below.

Yelp
I'll never forget my stay at this hotel. Definitely felt like an upscale experience. All the shared spaces were very nicely furnished. I especially enjoyed the dining room with its panoramic windows overlooking the Pacific coast! You kinda have to pinch yourself to believe this view. One other great area is the reading room downstairs. Finally, be sure to enjoy the small but picturesque onsen. It's even open overnight! The rooms are very large even by western standards. I must say, I think we were given one of the only corner ones, which meant that we had a partial ocean view and a not-so-nice gravel rooftop nearby. At first, I had to hide my disappointment to my boyfriend but after a while I forgot about it because I enjoyed everything else about the room. As it is in a more remote location, don't expect to have lenghty english conversations with the staff as you would in Tokyo. The best is to stick to keywords (check-in, check-out, keys, bill) and be merry. Nevertheless, they are extremely helpful if you happen to need anything. I couldn't end this review without reminding you to be safe during your stay. You'll find a binder in the room with clear english information directed to foreigners, about the possibility of earthquake, tsunami and emergency evacuations. Please do read it, download the mobile app and spot the nearby "high-ground".

Yelp
This hotel is located steps away from beautiful Jodoghama Beach. Great place for a secluded couples getaway or a family vacation. Rooms are spacious and every room has a spectacular ocean view.
