My stay at The Park Hotel, Park Street was extremely disappointing and stressful, starting right from check-in.
Despite confirming the availability of 1 out of our 3 rooms in advance, we were made to wait nearly 40 minutes at the reception. What made this worse was that my senior citizen parents were forced to stand and wait, which is completely unacceptable for a hotel of this reputation.
Mr. Pratham, at the reception, denied the room despite it being available. The room was only allocated after I insisted on speaking to the General Manager. I was not the only guest being harassed—there were multiple other guests facing similar issues at the reception, clearly indicating poor front desk management.
The problems didn’t end there. The room condition was pathetic—visible seepage on the walls and extremely untidy, not at all matching the standards expected from a premium hotel. When I raised this concern, the staff casually mentioned that “the property is old.”
An old property is not an excuse—any hotel can be well-maintained if properly planned and managed.
Overall, this was a highly unpleasant experience, marked by poor service, lack of empathy, and substandard room conditions. I would seriously not recommend this property, especially for families or senior citizens.
