I had a fantastic stay at The Park, Kolkata. The location is absolutely perfect—right in the heart of Park Street, making it easy to explore the city. The rooms were stylish, clean, and very comfortable. What really stood out was the staff; they were incredibly polite and helpful throughout my visit. Whether you are there for business or leisure, this hotel offers a premium experience. Highly recommended!

Unclean rooms and extremely poor reception staff. Literally a used room was given to me. Toilet was broken and I couldn't take a shower and they refuse to refund the day as I was charged for checking in at 7:45 am instead of later but I'm a club member. Parking security extremely rude when trying to pay car service drivers. I bought the residence club package and what was advertised was not offered. When I pointed it out they changed their webpage. False advertisement. Room service was used and got food poisoning. Only positive is the private lounge for the residence. Staff there are the only well trained. Breakfast is a hong show with untrained staff. Managers don't actually do anything when you complain. I am still here and was hoping they would change. Nothing. Do not stay here for more than 1-2 days if you must. I definitely would not recommend it to foreign born Bengali women. Horrible place. Worst trip I have had to Kolkata. They are not a 5 star. 2 star at best. Beware. They also stole my Amazon deliveries and won't rectify. Also while they gave food poisoning they refused to provide coconut water requested. Absolute nightmare.

The Park has a pub at ground floor which plays loud music until 4 am. We stayed at the second floor and could not sleep due to the noise. They will not turn down the volume despite repeated requests. Kindly avoid the hotel if you are a light sleeper. Service is super slow at both front desk and resturant. They have plenty of staff at front desk and yet we had to wait for more than 40 mins for check in (note that we arrived post check in time). They missed to collect my husband's signature and later called us for the same. The person became rude when I informed that we will come down in sometime to sign (although it was their mistake). The waiters at the resturant don't care enough to place your order (happened twice!). Great food and location. Shoutout to the staff near parking and luggage area. They are very sweet and friendly. Overall the hotel experience is not worth it for the price.

Great location on Park Street, but not quite a 5-star experience. Entry is through a cozy bar, and check-in was average. While the room was spacious with a nice street view, the bathroom was cramped. The breakfast buffet lacked variety for vegetarians, despite the tasty paranthas. If you're looking for true 5-star luxury, this might fall short of your expectations

I booked this hotel only to witness Christmas celebrations at the Park Street, still it was not worth staying in. Only the restaurant food and the staff were good other than that everything was poor. I booked two rooms initially rooms were not ready though we came there at 12:30 and have mailed for early check in as our flights were long. Still the girl at front desk ‘Manpreet’ made us wait 1 hour for first room and three hours for 2nd one. She was not welcoming at all. I don’t understand brands like ‘The park’ how come they hire such unwelcoming people at front desk, it’s the first impression and need to be good enough. Then luggage took decades to reach the room. Room was tiny, unhygienic, curtains and bed sheets were torn, chips and other remaining food were under the bed. No assistance was provided to room. Manpreet simply gave key and directions and the guest himself/herself has to find way towards the room. I mean what is the HR doing here ? Where is the basic training of hospitality? The park is not a small brand still such ignorance towards basic services. I was shocked. We stayed mostly outside. Only the staff at the gates, parking, cleaning, restaurants were good and respectful. The worst impression happened during check-out, I was about to pay the dinner bill when I checked they didn’t put discount which I had in my booking coupon. When I asked Manpreet asked are you sure ? Do you remember the rates on the menu? I mean who is she to ask whether we remember rates ? Is it not offensive ? Why should we remember menu rates ? Why should we even look at the rates? Finally she accepted the mistake but was not ready to give discount money back, another staff come (Rahul) he was kind and polite and asked for complimentary tea/coffee to cover discount but we were running late and wanted our money. Whole scene took an hour which should be a 5 minute thing. Manpreet kept being rude and at the end Manager himself came to settle and gave the money back. All I want to say is as someone who travel often and stay mostly at 5 star hotels, you need to work on your front desk, cleanliness and coordination a lot. As I won’t recommend anyone to stay here even if it is in the centre place of everything in Kolkata.

Before staying at The Park, Kolkata, I stayed at The Park in New Delhi. Given my positive experience in New Delhi, I expected the same level of quality and experience in the Kolkata location. The entrance is via a cafe. Just like the New Delhi location, the doormen at this Kolkata location were excellent. Very friendly and they go out of their way to provide you with tips and directions. The room was spacious, clean, and smelled fresh. The breakfast had a selection of Indian buffet and continental options. You'll need to get a three-wheeler or Uber to get to places, but the are not too far away. I walked 30 minutes to Victoria Memorial and St. Paul's Cathedral. There are plenty of restaurants around. When you book an Uber, always wait at the entrance on the main street. Initially, I was told to wait at the back for pickup, but after missing one ride, I decided to wait for my ride at the front. The noise level was minimal. I could definitely hear honking from the street but it's not enough to disturb my sleep. Good value for money for the quality and experience.

Location is awesome. Park street have many iconic eateries. Very good service during check in and luggage handling. Very friendly staff! I was on 2nd floor but room windows was towards inside. No view. Didn't try food but they have a cafe on ground floor and a pub. Room was good! They kept sweets and fruits for welcome in room! Awesome!

My stay at The Park Hotel, Park Street was extremely disappointing and stressful, starting right from check-in. Despite confirming the availability of 1 out of our 3 rooms in advance, we were made to wait nearly 40 minutes at the reception. What made this worse was that my senior citizen parents were forced to stand and wait, which is completely unacceptable for a hotel of this reputation. Mr. Pratham, at the reception, denied the room despite it being available. The room was only allocated after I insisted on speaking to the General Manager. I was not the only guest being harassed—there were multiple other guests facing similar issues at the reception, clearly indicating poor front desk management. The problems didn’t end there. The room condition was pathetic—visible seepage on the walls and extremely untidy, not at all matching the standards expected from a premium hotel. When I raised this concern, the staff casually mentioned that “the property is old.” An old property is not an excuse—any hotel can be well-maintained if properly planned and managed. Overall, this was a highly unpleasant experience, marked by poor service, lack of empathy, and substandard room conditions. I would seriously not recommend this property, especially for families or senior citizens. Regards, Arpit Varmani
