The Park Kolkata - SilverKris

"Opened in 1967, it revolutionized local hospitality with a design-first approach—unapologetically bold color choices and striking juxtapositions of textures and materials result in interiors that demand attention. Recently renovated, the 149-key hotel combines an unbeatable location with a lively food-and-drink scene, offering a varied selection of restaurants and bars and a rocking nightclub, which help keep it a perennial top pick for many visitors." - SilverKris

Lived here for 2 years brand new finished apartment. 6 months into our lease they began a new construction phase and things completely went downhill. Several months of dust and no parking the issue with this community is there is no accountability from management what so ever. There were days my family would go to the pool and people would be inside the poor area (non-smoking) smoking hookah as if this is not a shared community. Many people do not clean up after their pets. The biggest problem here is the laziness amongst the janitorial. How is it you have all this land and no garbage cans to be found except for pet waste ? (They took away garbage cans because they were getting over filled) Make it make sense ? this leads to trash everywhere. Cigarettes, weed wrappers, beer bottles, poop bags. We moved to New Jersey to avoid city life. We wasted our time here. Unfortunately we were sold a dream. The package room is also a joke ( an amenity taken away) If you’re expecting every single package you order be prepared to be let down. If had atleast 10 packages go missing in 2 years. The best thing about this place is the landscaping company they use. In summary this place has so much potential but lacks proper management and holding residents accountable. We were thrilled to move.

The new resident experience at the park has been great so far. From lease signing to move in the staff were always responsive, timely, and helpful. Andrew seemed always available to answer my questions. My first month here has been unremarkable which is great since this is a complex with many residents. The few times I’ve had to put in maintenance requests for standard move in needs were answered promptly and kindly. The negative feedback I’ve heard about parking and packages have not been a problem for me. While parking can be tight after 8pm with most people home by then, I’ve always been able to find a parking space within reasonable walking distance to my unit. I also have had no trouble with the mail room - while there are a high volume of deliveries I have been ordering many things and none have been missing or misdelivered. The club house attendants have been rounding the mail room and very informative and helpful collecting packages. I’ve noticed you need to be careful when ordering same day Amazon packages which utilizes flex drivers as they as unfamiliar with the location and how/where to deliver packages, often leaving them outside of your apartment building door. I’ve limited my use of this and standard Amazon deliveries are always delivered appropriately. There have been multiple snow and ice storms since I’ve moved in and the grounds staff have been impressive with salting and plowing. They are out shoveling and plowing as soon as the snow starts it seems, there are always clear sidewalks and roadways. Dog poop on paths has been an annoyance however that relates to the few residents who allow that behavior and the staff can only do so much to control. They offer everything you need to prevent this with poop bags and garbage bins on practically every corner. Unfortunately I’ve seen dog poop right behind one of these stations and that speaks to the owner of that dog not the staff of this complex. Garbage pickup is convenient 6 nights a week and I haven’t had an issue with this so far. Recycling is one night a week but there are conveniently placed dumpsters when needed. My dog has thoroughly enjoyed the dog park and surrounding grounds, I hope the park keeps their commitment to the park like surroundings because it is one of the best features of this community. The only thing that I think needs to be improved is guest parking. The complex can already be intimidating for those who are not used to it and explaining to guests where to park then having them walk to your apartment is frustrating. I am very happy with The Park so far and all staff have been great.

We toured this complex. The leasing agent was very nice and thorough. The gym and amenities were average compared to other properties that we toured in this price range. On the way to view the unit, we encountered animal waste in our walking path. This was the first red flag and concern. Upon arrival to the unit, we were pleased. The apartments we saw were part of both the new and older phases. Both unit types were very nice and would make us feel very much so at home. My wife and I decided not to apply due to their parking rules. You're only allowed one parking space and even after paying for that ONE space it is first come first serve daily. Reading through the reviews, I can see how frustrating it is for residents who pay for parking and still cannot find one when arriving home. I would suggest that the complex assign dedicated parking spaces for those who actually pay for a space. 3/5 because of the dog poop and parking situation. We both drive and cannot imagine 2-3 city blocks worth of walking when arriving home during the winter or rainy days.

Living at The Park Luxury Apartments has been a wonderful experience, thanks in large part to Andy’s friendliness, professionalism, and support throughout the entire process—from move-in to settling in. He made everything seamless and welcoming. The entire complex team, especially Tom, the head of the maintenance crew, has been incredibly prompt and efficient in handling any maintenance requests and always responsive to questions or concerns. I also really appreciated the tenant engagement events they hosted, featuring amazing food and creating a real sense of community. I highly recommend The Park to anyone looking for a comfortable, well-managed place to call home.

Updated Review: Another frustrating change — they just made the pavilion reservation-only with a $500 deposit and a $200 per hour rental fee. I don’t understand how this is the solution to whatever issue they think this fixes. They literally tried nothing else first. No fob-access system, no security cameras, no staff walkthroughs… just sent out a halfhearted email about “proper use” and then slapped a huge fee on it. At this point, it feels like we’re paying for amenities we barely get to access, and instead of managing the community, they just keep making things more restrictive and expensive for the residents actually paying to live here while ongoing issues like cleanliness, parking enforcement, and package security remain unresolved. Between this and the clubhouse being constantly reserved, there’s no point in paying for amenities because we barely have access to them. It’s ridiculous. Will start looking for a new place once lease renewal is near. We chose this apartment complex for its appealing features, but my experience after a year reveals a mix of positives and negatives. The beautiful and spacious apartments, the dog-friendly amenities, and a responsive maintenance team are commendable. Sadly, the ongoing issue with dog poop everywhere is a significant downside. Despite multiple stations providing bags and trash disposal, the cleanliness is a persistent problem. It's not just a matter of watching my step, but ensuring my dog doesn't step in it either. The clubhouse, while enjoyable, is often booked for private events, especially on weekends which limits its availability for residents to enjoy. Also, community events tend to be scheduled during weekdays EARLY afternoon hours, making it challenging for those with different work hours. The mailing room's disorder is another downside, although the presence of available lockers is appreciated. While I haven't personally faced package theft, my friend has, indicating a potential security concern. Parking, unfortunately, adds to the list of challenges. After work, finding a spot is often a struggle. Non-residents without parking passes take up spaces, despite threats of towing. Unfortunately, these warnings seldom translate into action, creating an ongoing inconvenience. In summary, my apartment and the outdoor spaces are delightful, but addressing issues like cleanliness, enforcing parking policies and event scheduling would significantly improve the overall living experience for residents.

I could clearly remember how I found “The Park” by chance in Facebook as we were about to sleep while desperately looking for a place to relocate for the past few weeks. I filled up the appointment online as I found the place peaceful, clean and green with the little forest and playing ground. When we went to “The Park” and waited at the Leasing Office, it was Karla who warmly welcomed us. She was very friendly and accommodating. She explained to us the details of each unit which might interest us including the terms of the lease and availabilities. As we told her the units we were interested, she gladly toured us to 3 units and explained the layouts, features and requirements upon lease. It was not our first visit as we couldn’t decide. We scheduled with her for another 2nd and 3rd visits and she patiently and warmly welcomed us every visit with all smiles. She wasn’t tired to explain to us for our repeating and further queries. Despite our hesitation, we decided to transfer to “The Park” because of Karla’s convincing and friendly customer service she gave us throughout our 3 visits always trying to show us that “The Park” is our new home. And we have no regrets, as she continues to warmly accommodate us with our requests!

I’ve been living at The Park for a little over a year. The experience has been great so far. The office staff is very friendly and ready to help out with any needs or concerns you may have. One of the stand out members of the staff is Nico DiCristo. Nico helped me throughout the process with all the documentation that was needed to get into The Park. He has been there ever since to assist in getting me acclimated to residing here. The community is quiet and well maintained buy the grounds and maintenance crew. I mean they take care of everything! Snow and leaf removal to Issues within the apartment. It’s all taken care of for you. They make it all really simple through the Bozzuto app. You can even communicate with other residents and stay updated with any events that may be happening at the community through the app. Yes, I did say events. The biggest bonus for me and the whole reason I decided to make it my new home was the pet friendly environment the provide. I’m a dog owner and it was really important to me that I was moving to a community that would welcome my dog with open arms. The Park absolutely checked that box. From the dog park within the community to the dog wash which is also within the community, you couldn’t ask for anything more. Pet stations are thoughtfully placed throughout the community so no matter where you go with your pet, clean up is made very easy. Lastly. Nothing can ever be 100 percent perfect. If I had to complain about one thing it would be the pool situation. The Park provides a beautiful pool for its residents to use during the warmer months. The only issue that I find is that for such a large community there is only the one pool. It gets crowded pretty quick on a nice day. Weekends especially. It would be such a great addition if a second pool was added to the community. This way residents could be spaced out more and no one would have to miss out on any summer fun. Aside from that, The Park has been a slice of paradise for me. I’m truly being spoiled.

The Park, where do we start? The Park is an ideal place to live if you only going to stay in your unit the whole time you live here. Step outside your unit and it becomes the place you left to come live a better life. At least that’s what most residents was hoping for. I noticed the park ain’t enforcing parking anymore so you have folks parking in here for free while most of us are paying. Imagine paying to park here and someone that don’t live here or does not pay to park here hit your car, I would think the park would say they have nothing to do with any of that. I short walk from the clubhouse to my unit I counted 7 vehicles without a parking sticker. I also witnessed a packed vehicle pull up to the clubhouse (no parking sticker) they got out the vehicle and made their way to the pool. If you sit by the pool and observe, you’ll notice a lot of them people at the pool ain’t from the Park. I kind of thought the pool was for residents only. Amenities are something we have to pay, it’s not an option. So the least the park can do is strictly enforce the rules. No excuse. Walking in the building and having someone leave their belongings outside of their door is another thing that needs to be addressed. Folks leave their shoes, stroller and other personal belongings outside in the hallway. This place would be so much better if the would just strictly enforce the rules.
