On the Grid : Hideaway

"Almost as much a museum as it is a shop, some of the antiques at Hideaway are so rare that they’re only available for rental. From a stripped-down glider plane to Victorian-era medical equipment, you’ll find true one-of-a-kind treasures here. Owner Bill Jarman has been in the business for many years, and also supplies fixtures for restaurants, clubs and restaurants." - Format

Aroma Cannabis Emporium on Queensway is a great spot if you’re looking for quality products and a relaxed vibe. The store has a funky atmosphere that feels welcoming as soon as you walk in, and the staff really add to that experience. They’re chill, approachable, and clearly know their stuff, making it easy to ask questions or just browse without pressure. One of the standout things about this place is the variety and the cool drops they get in—you can tell they keep things fresh and interesting for regulars and new customers alike. It’s not just about picking something up; it feels more like discovering something new every visit. The only downside is the parking situation. It can be tough to find a spot, especially during peak hours, which makes popping in a little less convenient. But once you’re inside, the experience makes up for it. Overall, Aroma Cannabis Emporium has the right mix of quality, atmosphere, and customer service. Definitely worth checking out if you’re in the area and don’t mind the small challenge of parking.

went here for the 82 major concert. Its a pretty small venue, but the stage is raised which makes it slightly easier to see. The worst part were the bathrooms. Theres very little standing area to wait in line for the stalls, and its musty. But overall good experience for a small concert.

Parkdale Hall is a great vintage style live venue with tons of character. It’s got that old school charm that really adds to the atmosphere of the performances. They regularly host artists from all over the world, which makes every visit a unique experience. The acoustics are solid, and the space feels intimate but not cramped. Parking in the area is actually not bad, especially compared to other Toronto venues. Definitely worth checking out if you’re into live music and want something with more personality than your average concert hall.

Nice venue. We visited this place for a live garba event. It was a fun night. It got a little crowded past 10 pm, but it was still good. Not a problem with the venue. Organizers overbooked the venue. It was not hot even after loads of people. The air conditioning is good at this place. The sound was not the best. I hope the sound equipment was not of the venue, but of the band.

Cool venue. Lots of space. Plenty of street parking and parking lots in the area.

We came to this historic hall for the candle night concert. The venue is easy to access by transit and have its own parking lot. Beautiful venue with bar and coffee shop. The Parkdale brand beer must try. The staffs are very friendly. We have a wonderful time. Definitely will come back for the coffee

We had an amazing time at the 2025 NFL Experience! The hall was decorated very nicely and it felt like a true tailgate party! We cant wait to be back next year and we're looking forward to more NFL Canada events being held at great Toronto venues 👍

I came to Parkdale Hall for candle night , a tribute to Jay chou piano concert last night. Convenience location. The street cars is nearby and the parking lot just opposite to the Parkdale mall. It is a beautiful venue with onsite bar, a coffee shop. Very clean washrooms. The manger Lisa is very friendly and knowledgeable. I think about to throw a anniversary party here. She showed me around and gave me information and suggestions for the anniversary party. We enjoyed the candle night concert last night . Will recommend friends for this venue to enjoy a romantic night.
