Walking by, I notice the shop is open. I open the door to find a couple gentlemen seated in the barber chairs and talking to each other. I ask if they accept walk-ins, to which they reply yes, but we’re fully booked tonight. I visually sweep the shop in case I have missed the customers, but find none except the two folks seated in the barber chairs. I quickly determine that they do take walk-ins, just not *me*, thank them for their time and leave. Hopefully you will have better luck!

I would leave a 10/5 if I could. I booked a reservation with The Parker months ago for my bachelor party and some family to get shaves and hot towel service before my wedding and boy, did they deliver. Not only did my ENTIRE party of 10 say it was one of the best shaves of their life, they went home with ideas and tips on how to take care of get their desired trim again. Brett, Mason, and Micah the co-owner all delivered a stellar performance in their craft, their personalities, and their knowledge. Thank you guys so much for hosting a great start to the best day of my life.

Needed a good haircut before I showed up at a conference. This was a great find and I was able to get an appointment the day I arrived in New Orleans.

Showed availability online so I went in. Told me they were booked. Double checked online, and when you select today's date, it automatically changes to a date in the future, which I didn't notice before. 2-3 of them were just standing around, talking outside, the same ones who told me they were fully booked. Could have been halfway done with my cut if they weren't just standing around, outside, talking and not making money. "Fully booked." Fully lazy.

Jacob crushed it! He fixed me up nice for my wedding. If you’re a balding gentlemen like myself, they can still work with what ya got. Great atmosphere, great price.

Was in town visiting from the UK and had a great experience here. I had a great conversation with Micah who was an absolute gentleman and gave a nice haircut to boot. Highly recommend the Parker Barber for anyone need a fresh trim in NOLA.

Made an appointment here because it is close to where I am staying for a conference. Left with a great beard trim for a great price. The shop has a relaxed, comfortable vibe and the couch in the waiting area was nice enough for a two hour nap. But, my appointment started right on time, so no nap today. Coy was friendly and really took his time getting all the details right. If I'm back in the area, I will definitely go again.

Homophobic Barbers... My haircut and beard trim was average at best (no straight razor at this price...cmon...) but that's not why I'm leaving a review. It's not important ...because the man who was cutting my hair and the barber next to him actively engaged in a conversation that disgusted me. They joked about a previous guest with hateful homophobic and queerphobic attitudes and made it clear that they did not want "those people" in their shop other than for their money. Stay away.

I've been looking for someone in the New Orleans area to cut my hair and had never heard of the Parker until saw a posting on Yelp about it so I decided to give it a shot. I'm really glad I did. They have a clean modern facility with high-end stylists. They have an online booking feature which made it easy to make an appointment. When I arrived my stylist was ready for me and did a great job. I'll be back.

The place was nice and it was easy to make an appointment online. The guys I spoke to were polite. My haircut was just fine but I left feeling like I didn't have any relation to the haircut I asked for. For what I asked for, my hair was cut very short. I came in pretty unkempt and told the barber I had let my hair grow for about five months and let my natural curls develop. I asked to shape and thin the sides and back while keeping it long enough to stay curly and to take about two inches off the top. I got a pretty bog standard short men's barber shop haircut plus an extra inch on top. The sides are very short (nobody with hair as fine as mine is getting curls this short) and are about ten strands of hair at my right temple that are only 2 inches shorter than before and everything else on the top is probably 4-6 inches shorter. I'm not sure if there was some kind of miscommunication or if he just really underestimated the actual length of my hair uncombed before starting or if autopilot just kinda took over and he gave me his muscle memory's default cut. I also have two visible red lines on the top of my ear from the barber quickly dragging the comb tips across. My ears are so small I used to get teased in high school so I think he could have been a little more careful. Wasn't what I expected for the price point but at least the haircut I got looks pretty good. I didn't say anything cause it was pretty obvious my haircut was gonna be short by the time he asked my opinion. If I go back I'll be sure we're on the same page before the haircut starts.

This place is great, whether you're getting a clean up or the works. They have a super friendly and experienced staff, they are very attentive to their clients, and it's not terribly expensive. I always leave looking good and feeling good.!

Had an emergency haircut need! These guys showed out. Gave me food recs, cleaned me up niiiiice. Looks like they changed their prices, $45 seems steep for a haircut, but I was in need!

The staff were friendly, but really just ended up with a bad haircut. The person gave me something very different from what I asked. They worked fast and I wasn't facing the mirror so I couldn't see what was happening until it was too late. 30 mins is not enough time for my particular hair. If you get a basic haircut then this place would be totally good. I felt like mine was rushed and unskilled. It seems like this is one of those hipster joints that cranks out volume rather than quality. I say this based on my experience, plus the fact that the 45 minute haircut offers no additional haircut- you just get a face steam or something. I figured the 45 minute haircut would be more focused, sortve like a "scissor cut," but that doesn't exist here. Mainly just quick buzzes with some generic plops on top. That's what I gathered. Nice location, friendly, clean. But I wouldn't return personally

I decided on getting the signature cut, which I thought was going to be 45 minutes. It ended up being 30 minutes. It contained the hot face towel, but no shoulder and neck massage - which was the main reason I wanted to book an appointment with the Parker Barber. I don't think I got the shampoo either; that was disappointing, though the haircut did look nice. In addition, the barber didn't show me the back of my head which is usually customary. Afterwards, I saw that the charge was $60 prior to tip. The website said $45, and the person who helped book my appointment never mentioned it to me. I definitely would not have come here if I had known it was that expensive. Overall, the barber was good, the haircut looked nice, but definitely wasn't what I was expecting and more than what I believed it was going to cost. I don't think I'll ever come here again

By far the worst haircut I've ever gotten. Let me start by the standards this place holds, they try to make it seem like it's upscale, with great service and higher prices then other places. The guy that cut my hair is far from a profesional barber. Says he's been cutting hair for over 15 years but yet can't do a simple hair cut. I will not disclose his name but honestly every barber should be evaluated. Don't trust this place if you are getting ready for an event. Asked for a low fade with half inch trim at the top. Went in with about 6 inches of hair all around, left with a mowhalk and I am not exaggerating. Sides were bold out and didn't match/not blended. Now I have to walk around work looking like this. Extremely disappointed.

A little late to the review, better late than never... Before my trip out to NOLA, my barber back home fell ill and couldn't cut my hair...of course my head looked a bit mess and completely grown out so I decided to find a barber shop in NOLA. Normally, I don't like to take chances when it involves my hair since many barbers are afraid to cut women's hair (hair is hair, y'all). I've also had one too many horrific cuts from both stylists and barbers that I'd like to completely erase from my memory, but I decided to look on Yelp and find a place close to our hotel that didn't charge too much, had someone there that was comfortable cutting women's hair, and the place looked decent. I totally lucked out when I found The Parker and Coy, the barber who cut my hair. He asked me the right questions, how short on the sides, length on top, did I want it lined up in front (which I hate) hell- he even wash my hair! I have yet to find a barber shop that will wash my hair after a cut! I received many complements walking down the street from total strangers.

Fantastic spot. Great atmosphere would highly recommend. From out of town and stopped in with out an appointment and got lucky.

Cool, friendly vibe. They have a great dog and everyone is warm and welcoming. Jacob did a great job on my hair- very detail oriented and professional!

I appreciate being able to make an appointment. Parking around here is kinda for shit so pick your times wisely, mid day is probably not the answer. Great clean barber shop, got a military style fade with no complaints. Not a cheap place to go, but in a nicer part of town

GREAT service with a great haircut for the hubby on the side. We visited for the weekend and my husband needed a haircut so we found this shop and are so glad we did. We were both welcomed with a clean, nicely air conditioned shop by two barbers and one lazy friendly dog who I wanted to take home with me. They also offer water or beer while you're waiting as well which is a nice plus. The hubby got a high and tight which was cut to perfection while the barber gave us recommendations on what to check out around town. The shop smells great and is filled with Aveda products. The chairs are super comfortable and the service is exceptional. If you're in need of a haircut, this is the place. If only we could transport this shop back to Denver!

I typically travel around 300 days a year for business. I always enjoy finding a a a really nice barber shop that can lay down a solid hard part,fade and comb over. In big cities such as New York or San Fran $80-100 a cut is typical of the barbers I go to, to set the par. I must say Alex has done the best cut I have had to date !! He has a great vibe and personality to top it off. The barber shop itself is really nice and clean and well kept up and the employees were polite and very professional even the phone call to book the receptionist was sweet and professional!!! I will make it a point to come back here next time in Nola !!!

Booked a Signature Cut with Mason that was to be 45 minutes, include hot towel, neck massage etc. Received a 22 minute hair cut, NO HOT FACE TOWEL, NO Neck Massage. Charged for the "Signature Cut" Cut is good, but wanted a bit more than the average barber.

I was in New Orleans for business and thought I'd stop in for a haircut. When I walked in there (1:30 pm on a Tuesday) there were no customers in the place and I asked if I could get a haircut. One of the barbers pulled out a tablet and said he could get me in tomorrow. Terrible customer service and I guess they don't need business!

I've had few experiences as poor as this trying to get my hair cut. First off, i had a weird time utilizing the website and called in to book. I guess it's not as easy to book online when you need multiple services (express cut and beard detail). When I called in to book the appointment, the answerer was part of a call center and was not familiar with the area, she had some difficulty telling me where the salon even was. On the morning of my appointment I received a call stating that they needed to change my time. Now on this matter I am completely understanding, someone had a death in the family and couldn't be there to cut hair so naturally I agreed with the new time and stylist they were giving me! On my way in, traffic was horrible and we called in ahead to let them know. The answerer said not to worry that there was a ten minute grace period. I walk in and stand there for a few seconds, not really sure where to go or who to talk to and my stylist, I guess, comes in behind me. They turn and look at me, like I'm in the wrong place and asked if they could help me and I said I had a 445 appointment. The stylist tells me that they wouldn't have time for my beard styling because I was 15 minutes late and looked at me quite condescendingly and said but "I'm sure you understand". It was ten minutes... when I said "well I'd rather reschedule then have to come back another time", the combination of the look on the barbers face and the overall attitude was overwhelmingly hostile. I didn't feel welcome and I turned to walk out. The barber tried to follow me out asking me to come back but I never will and neither should you.

I'm someone who goes to a barber every week. I'm from Houston I feel like we have a lot of good barbers. That being said, best haircut I've ever had. He really listens and cares to make YOU LOOK GOOD! Thanks and I will be back. I will purposely NOT get a haircut so I can stop in for one here every time I visit from now on.

By far the best haircut I have ever had. I was in town visiting my brother and The Parker was a block or so away from my hotel. I wish I could remember her name but she did a excellent job. My visit was 1/3/19 I just wish I had time when I was in NOLA last weekend to get a cut. Prices are very reasonable as well. Shop is clean and organized and not full of clutter.

Was in town for my wedding and wanted to get some family and the groomsmen together for some haircuts and beard trims before the big day. Micah and Gabi were excellent in coordinating everything and working to figure out who needed what so they could plan appropriately for the size of our group and the time allotted. All of the haircuts, beard trims, and shaves were excellent and had the group looking sharp, and the atmosphere was another level, just a great time with everybody, relaxing, exchanging stories, having a drink. Fun all around and can't thank Micah, Gabi, Jacob, and Brett enough for all they did for us. Highly recommend!

Great spot to get a haircut. I am rather particular about my haircuts in general, but Mason did a fantastic job. He was friendly and easy to talk with, helpful, and did a great job. He was also knowledgeable and offered some suggestions on managing my cowlick. The Parker itself is nice and has a good relaxed atmosphere. They offered me something to drink while I was waiting, which was a great extra touch. Fairly reasonably priced in my opinion. Highly recommend the place and Mason as well.

Tried to get a haircut as a walk-in as it says "walk-in" welcome. When I went in I a girl who was out side on her phone came in looked at some thing and then says "we are booked up for the day" funny that two barbers were outside playing on their phones... I guess playing on your phone is more important that cutting someone's hair... need to change their description from barbers to phone players... just saying

I'm visiting New Orleans for a conference and just before I flew out of Raleigh, NC, I got the worst haircut of my life. I desperately needed a quality New Orleans barber to rescue my butchered head and I Googled my way to this shop. Micah did an amazing job of fixing a truly bad head haircut. He listened to my concerns, we talked it out and he got to work. Best. Haircut. Ever! My only complaint is that I now have to budget my haircuts for travel from Raleigh to The Parker Barber. (And I'm writing this review from a restaurant Micah recommended, so thanks again!)

This place is fantastic. It's nice and clean, well decorated, and the people are welcoming and very talented. Coy gave me a fantastic cut and has spot on attention to detail. Very very happy!

I liked the decor and the fact that they offer you liquor (Johnny Walker Red Label) but my haircut and shave were way off the mark as my fade was uneven and raised higher than my last cut which was still visible as I get a haircut weekly and the same went for my beard. They guy was really nice and talkative but I guess they are used to straight hair not curly.

Tried them out for the first time this past Saturday and the experience couldn't have been better. Everything from my cut, to the service, to the music being played to my whiskey was absolutely great. They have earned a new customer who will be coming back!

Greatness abounds here. Go elsewhere and die of bad hair nightmares. The staff and atmosphere leaving nothing desired. It's a great experience and a great haircut!

Got a fade with Jacob and he cut it just the way I wanted it. He was also fun to talk to and his energy was very chill. The place is nice and clean with a good selection of hair products to buy. Next time I'm in town I'm definitely coming back.

I walked into The Parker looking like a homeless person and walked out looking like Johnny Depp (POTC 1 Johnny - not washed up magnum throwing bankrupt Johnny.) Would highly recommend to anyone! Micah is extremely talented, super friendly, easy to talk to.

It's not just for dudes! The vibe is incredible, the tunes are always on point and all the barbers are ragingly talented. Micah is one of the best barbers in the country and he's built an incredible team to support him. Whether you're staying nearby or not, I recommend you stop in for a real taste of New Orleans.
