The Pavilions, Phuket, Phuket, Thailand - Explore & Book

"The Pavilions, Phuket is a seriously indulgent hotel for honeymooners or young couples more used to sleek, chic European hotels than traditional Thai accommodation. Its successful combination of stylish surroundings and friendly service means guests are defecting here from the nearby Banyan Tree and Amanpuri hotels. Perched upon a hill, the open-air reception, roof-top bar and suites have stunning views over the pine-fringed bays of Bang Tao and Layan to the Andaman Ocean. These are two of Phuket's loveliest beaches, with soft sands, exotic birds, fine coral, a lagoon and few tourists. The villas are enormous, all cool grey concrete, glass and splashes of colour, and are staggered up the hillside. You can enjoy a sunset massage in total seclusion, or take a moonlit skinny-dip in your large private infinity pool right outside your bedroom door. Highs The quiet, sandy coastline is away from Phuket's throngsIt's extremely romantic, with in-villa spa treatments, a private pool for most villas, and private dining under the starsThe staff are friendly but never obsequiousThe rooftop bar is named 360 for its spectacular viewsYou'll find elegant bespoke furniture throughout the hotel Lows You're not on the beach, but a short shuttle bus-ride awayThere is building work going on in the valley, and some undeveloped scrubland nearby, but the hotel advises it is no longer causing any disturbanceIt's not a place to socialise: few common areas, mostly couples, very peacefulIt would be easy to spend days here without seeing any of PhuketYou would soon exhaust the menu if you eat in every day" - Charlotte Sinclair

"Just how little do you want to do when you are on holiday? If you don’t want to cook, explore, push through crowds, or even leave a luxurious villa, then there are more than a few upscale Thai coastal resorts that will meet your needs. But if you don’t even want to bother putting on clothes in the morning, then Phuket Pavilions’ “all-over tan” policy might settle the issue for you." - Tablet Hotels

I stayed at The Pavilions Phuket for a week on a solo trip and it was exactly what I needed. The villa was incredibly spacious, spotless, and offered stunning views – an ideal setting to switch off and recharge. The private pool was a real highlight.||||The bed was super comfy, and the living room sofa had a beautiful design and was really comfortable – perfect for lounging with snacks. The staff were fantastic, warm, attentive, and always ready to help. I felt truly looked after. Service was honestly 10/10.||||The location is quiet and serene, yet still conveniently close to the airport. A perfect solo escape. I left feeling completely refreshed and would absolutely return.

We stayed at The Pavilions in one of their private ocean view villas for our honeymoon, and it was truly a dream. From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel so welcomed and cared for—they were incredibly kind, attentive, and always happy to help with anything we needed.||Our villa was absolutely stunning. We had our own private pool, a spacious living room, and a luxurious bathroom that felt like a spa. Waking up to ocean views every morning was such a peaceful way to start the day.||The food at the resort was also a highlight. The breakfast included with our stay was amazing—fresh, flavorful, and offered a great variety. We especially loved the Thai dishes at their restaurants. ||Because the resort is quite large, they offered complimentary golf cart rides around the property, which made it super easy to get to the lobby, any of the three restaurants, and spa. It felt like we had the best of both worlds—privacy and space in our villa, but also seamless access to all the amenities.||We couldn’t have asked for a better place to spend our honeymoon. Everything about The Pavilions was exceptional, and we left feeling so relaxed, grateful, and full of unforgettable memories. We didn't want to leave!

Villa #16; check in date: June 29 – ||I recently stayed at The Pavillions, and I must say it was the best experience I’ve ever had in Thailand!||What first impressed me is the warm and welcoming hospitality. Thanks to Noey and her manager Tim for being so kind and helpful !||The villa I stayed was such a beauty – I really liked the spacious swimming pool and all the furniture pieces were of high quality and incredibly comfortable. I love that beautiful and modern décor. The villa was also spotless clean. ||Another impressive thing was the food quality – it’s not very easy to find hotel restaurants that are of high quality – but the ones in the Pavillions offered a great variety of Thai and Western dishes. Highly recommend pineapple fried rice and coconut panna cotta! ||It was a memorable solo retreat and I'm excited to return. Will definitely check out their day trips next time :)

Thanks to Nellie and Rina, My family was very satisfied with their service. Breakfast and reception service were great. However, I think there is room for improvement. Two hours ago, we made a reservation for three people at the spa, but when we arrived, they suddenly told us they could only take one person. It would have been better if we had been informed in advance — it was quite inconvenient. But overall, our stay was very pleasant.

I was so excited to return to the Pavilions, as I previously visited on a girls’ trip in June 2024, this time travelling with my husband to celebrate a milestone birthday (his).||We spent half our 11 night trip in a Tropical View room, the same as I enjoyed on my last visit, and it was just as comfortable and lovely as I had remembered. Again, thoughtful touches such as welcoming chocolates, a gin cocktail kit, fresh orchids, some bath amenities, and even a birthday cake for my husband, all very welcome after a long day of travel. The room was lovely and quiet, located on an upper floor, spotlessly clean, spacious and comfortable, with great sleep quality. ||The other half of our trip was spent in a Spa & Pool Penthouse, which had the most wonderful view over the mountains, so peaceful and so much space, and having our own private pool was fantastic, as were the extras that came with being in the upgraded room, such as afternoon tea and evening canapes and cocktails at the Alto Bar.||There is a lot of construction work going on around the area, but we weren’t disturbed by it at all, so the hotel maintained its peace and quiet, so private and separated from the busyness below.||Once again, the food was wonderful, breakfast at Firefly is amazing, so many choices available from the buffet and the eggs/omelettes menu with something for everyone. Everything was so fresh, beautifully presented, delicious. Great coffee too, and wonderful service as usual from Meow, Wa Wa, Army, Jack, and Nate.||We also enjoyed a dinner at Alto, which was absolutely delicious, and a couple of visits to 360 Bar for drinks and dinner. There are fantastic views from both venues, and it was so lovely to sit and enjoy them. Great service from the staff in both venues too.||The hotel has great facilities, and we used the gym and both pools. The buggies used to transport guests around the grounds are fun, and we didn’t ever have to wait more than a couple of minutes for one to arrive. And the hotel app was a great, very efficient way to communicate. The front office staff were wonderful too, always willing to assist us with whatever we needed.||The hotel is well-located close to the airport, beaches (Bang Tao and Layan), Cherng Talay (shopping, restaurants, Boat Avenue markets), and within comfortable reach of both Patong and Old Phuket Town. Taxis are readily available, and I highly recommend the Grab app to get around as it was both better priced and more efficient.||It isn’t a hotel for young people looking to party, as it is well away from the action, but it is perfect for couples of any age, and those looking for a relaxing holiday where everything is at your fingertips.||I’m still dreaming of the breakfasts, and look forward to returning again soon!||Thank you to all the team 😊

Total disappointment! I arrived early, the recoptionist tells me the room is vacant so I get excited. She then explains I have to wait - turns out not vacant. Basic hotel language, get it right. She then tells me there's a beautiful air-conditioned space I can spend some time in. I get send to Alto restaurant. Firstly, the bar was not air-conditioned and smelled horrible, so I asked to sit outside. It then became very clear the restaurant and bar were closed. It was lunch time, could not order food or drinks and was desperate for some water after travelling. Looked around for staff, no-one to be found. It really made me feel I was left to my own devices, not cared for, didn't even get offered some water by the guy that dropped me. After half an hour I had enough, walked back to lobby and told them the situation and asked "why place a guest in a closed venue", couldn't answer and was given a very grumpy face. I asked to be moved to the pool area so I could finally order water and drinks. After all that room ready after two hours, so glad I moved to the pool! At check-in also, get asked to find an email from booking.com that proves confirmation. WHY? You have all the paperwork and emails in your system. This is the first hotel experience in Phuket (and I've been many times) that made me do this. Having to connect to WiFi, to then find an email to then for them to take a photo of. So unnecessary! Room spacious, but dated. Slipped on some white substance on the bedroom floor. At first couldn't figure out what it was, but then realised the leaking air-conditioning was taking paint or plaster off the wall, dropping it onto the floor. Slipping could potentially be dangerous. Only after sleeping I realised stains on the duvet, gross! My bad, should have done the check before sleeping. The food is very subpar! I won't get into it, but it's just not up to 5* hotel standards. The roof bar has sooo much potential (great staff there, they were the best during the short stay), but a bit of a waste of a venue and fake "Japanese" cuisine just doesn't make sense there. I could think of so many things that would work for both hotel guests and locals. Did appreciate the decent wine offering though. Hotel apps are meant to make your life easier, but why does everything have to be done twice. Order a buggy, to then get told to call again - ineffecienct and don't want to be on the phone when I can use the app. Order room service which then gets confirmed via app - then the phone rings, to confirm AGAIN. Again, the app should be there to not have to call or answer calls. I checked out early, after the first night!

Absolutely amazing stay! The resort is stunning with breathtaking views everywhere you look. The service was beyond excellent — every staff member was kind, helpful, and welcoming. Huge shoutout to the employee that has a kangaroo tattoo on his arm (I can’t remember his name 😢)— he went above and beyond to make our stay truly special. His kindness, attention to detail, and genuine care stood out from the moment we arrived. You can really tell he loves what he does, and he made us feel completely at home. ALL THE STAFF ARE AMAZING I TRULY MEAN IT😩❤️ Getting around the resort was easy and seamless, and everything was well-organized. The atmosphere, the views, the staff — everything was just perfect. This definitely won’t be my last visit. Can’t wait to come back!

We enjoyed our stay in the pavillion. We stayed for 6 night as part of our trip to thiland. We had 2 bedrooms villa with private swimming pool. As muslim wearing hijab, Privacy was great ~ 90%. Villa is very spacious. AC was great. One thing i will always remember about our stay is that the staff were so friendly, very welcoming, & they remember our daily breakfast orders.|We had no issues with insects or small lizards. Maybe only 2-3 insect bites the last night|Halal food is available |If there’s space for improvement i would recommend heating swimming pool & more deep clean especially for toilets
