Our recent stay at The Peaks Resort & Spa couldn't have been better. Our well appointed room provided an ideal resting spot in between our many adventures in and around Telluride. We enjoyed the multiple pools, expansive workout facility, relaxing spa and dining facility. The staff at the hotel was very attentive to our needs during our stay and we especially appreciated the service we received from Brooke at the front desk. We can't wait until our next visit!

We just used the spa amenities. It’s is massive. The pool is good - chairs not super comfy but hard to beat being on The Mountain Village. The music was bad unfortunately (tons of F bombs - commercials etc) but they responded well when we brought it to the staffs attention. The lounges were well appointed. We stayed at the Inn at Lost Creek and were able to use the amenities at The Peak which was a great perk. Just a 6-7 min walk away.

We have stayed at this resort traditionally for about a week each summer for four years. We likely will continue to. -Rooms are spacious and views are great, but the rooms are EXTREMELY DATED and really not given much service. Even little things like a new caulk line along sink doesn't get done. Outlets loose, towel racks bent or falling apart. Cabinets horribly aged and needing replacement or at least some paint. -Restaurant food is decent, but service is very very slow for sit down. Was 45 minutes before first piece of food hit our table. Manager was very quick to address our issues once we voiced them. Server was very apologetic. That said, room service from same restaurant was typically 20 minutes from order to door. -Valet parking is painless. Nice staff. Quick to respond. -Front Desk was outstanding. Quick to take care of every need. Truly impressed by them.

Our experience was top notch from the lovely staff to the immaculate rooms to the spectacular views. The room was spacious and comfortable and the beds were so comfortable. It was easy walking distance to Mountain Village core and the Gondola. It was a great family trip - the water slide was icing on the cake for the kiddos!

Fabulous stay at The Peaks… the views are the best in the Mountain Village. The spa has everything you need and equipment is top notch. Close to gondola and trails. The rooms are big and staff super friendly. The restaurant has gorgeous views!

Google
Hotel is fine. Have stayed here many times and would recommend it. My review is specifically to express dissatisfaction with the spa experience that I had. I had a manicure and pedicure and spent $380+. The technician had shaky hands and the shellac polish was put on very thick. About an hour after my service was done and I had left the spa, the gel polish started lifting on my toe nails and 5 of them peeled off almost instantly. I believe this was because of how thick it was put on and the fact that it was painted over my skin causing it to separate almost instantly. We were staying an hour away from the spa and had to leave the following day to drive home, so I did not have time to go back and get the issue fixed. I sent a note to management expressing my frustration because I spent 4x what I would normally spend on this service and expected more, but did not hear back.

Google
$700/night for a room that is no better than a holiday inn. No privacy peephole. Insulation to not hear people in the hallway doesn't exist. No AC. This is a fairly modern place. How. The quality of room I can get anywhere else in the country for this price is leagues ahead. Go camp somewhere for free instead. Honestly the only real benefit is the hotel is near the gondolas and I can shower in the room. Also charging a resort fee in summer is insane. The way the rich that own these places have ruined Mountain towns is crazy.

Yelp
I've stayed at the Peaks and visited their spa a few times now. As I prepare to head back to Telluride and Mountain Village this February, it felt like it was time to acknowledge my love for this resort properly. I would be surprised to learn that somebody booked a room or spa service at the Peaks based on seeing my glowing five star review, but crazier things have happened! If you are reading this and considering a visit to the Peaks for any reason, book it. Go. What are you waiting for??? The spa is gorgeous. The staff is lovely and accommodating. I've even hosted private events in the Altezza space at The Peaks. They were incredibly helpful when our initial plans for a group dinner turned into a "Big Game" cocktail and appetizer hour followed by dinner. They were able to bring a big tv for everyone to watch and enjoy. No complaints!!!

Yelp
Restaurant: Amazing food, everything I have tried was great. Very nice service and completely unbeatable views! They often have live music out on the patio too. Beautiful hotel and the best and large spa in this area. I can spend hours there. Large gym. Beautiful views from any hotel room. Love everything about this place!

Check out my IG: whiskey_with for more news, insight, pairings and other fun related content. ---------------------------------------------- Mountain Village in the summer was one of the most beautiful places our family has traveled too. I heard it said "come for the winters, stay for the Summer..." Will we return yes. This trip we had our 10 and 12 yr old sons, we flew into Denver, rented a car and traveled to The Peaks Resort. It actually wasn't bad, but next time I'd fly into Albuquerque since we saw the Denver to Telluride scenery now. Customer Service | From the valet staff to the concierge, coffee shop, spa, and restaurant staff, we received some great welcoming services. We ate multiple meals at the restaurant. I enjoyed the elk. The rest of the food was perhaps a bit high for what we received. Food Allergies | Huge shout out to the chef and staff at Altezza. The chef came out to speak with us about our boys food allergies to help us all feel better. We ordered steaks with salt and pepper, broccolini with olive oil and steamed rice. I mentioned the rooms below, but our boys also enjoyed the game room, and we did do a couple loads of laundry in their self service laundry room. It worked out great for us. Finally check out the pictures and videos because you can't beat the views from Mountain Village and The Peaks Resort. Grocery Store | the mountain village grocery store was incredible for a family with many food allergies. It also had great fresh produce and the staff were very helpful. The pours and cocktails were reasonably priced at the bar and I was able to try a few local whiskey brands. Travis was a great bar tender and remembered my everytime I walked in. See video of bar Food & Drinks See above comments for more information too. The service at the restaurant was fantastic from Travis behind the bar, to the restaurant staff. If you stay there kids 10 and under eat free. I appreciated the restaurant and bar hours were later and allowed for flexibility in when to eat. There are other restaurants outside of the resort, and you can get meals at the grocery store as well. Finally, take the Free gondolas into Telluride and there are some great spots to wine and dine there too. Walkability We walked to the Telluride Whiskey Company tasting room (5 min), but many other places were also very close like shopping, Gondolas and other dining / drinking spots. We didn't get a chance to visit many of these with kids, but I think there would be no issues for a group of adults to have a good time in the village. Also there is a grocery store which you could walk to but we drove each time. Nearby Activities We took day trips and only spent one day at the resort to take advantage of the pool, hot tubs, and sauna. Everything is about 1-2.5 hours away. The first day we visited the Ourey Hot Springs; which was nice to come down in elevation and the kids enjoyed the hot springs. The next day we traveled to Mesa Verde and and then drove to the Four Corners. The last day trip was to Durango for rafting. In mountain village take the gondolas to telluride!

Yelp
Would never book at this business again as management would not work with me to reschedule due to medical. So lost $2300.

Yelp
Restaurant cannot accommodate guests dietary restrictions, cannot eat here because restaurant is to small to serve more than 50 people, no room service, no dry cleaning, bar too small to serve people, lobby seating is 1/50th the size it needs to be for someone to sit down, restaurant staff doesn't come to you or bring you silverware, don't ask you if you want a drink. if they don't clean your room at the time they knock they won't come back, no air conditioning in rooms. In the winter we had to sleep with the sliding door open it was so hot. They refused to fix it.

Yelp
Upon further reflection, I realize I wasn't being entirely fair, but was merely proceeding forth from anger and from the experiences that I had had up to that point. The food situation here indeed sucks, but I've come to find out that that's the food situation around Telluride in general. In all fairness, it's not like the food is bad. It's just that they treat you like you're a kuddly cash infused teddy bear that will transform into a village destroying gremlin if someone dares to feed you after 9 PM. (And maybe with a lot of the ski Bros that might be true...) But all of that aside, the hotel fails in a major way and again one of them tends to be Service - in particular the inability to get room service or a drink at the bar after 9 in a luxury resort was unconscionable. They have lovely tables outside with built-in fire pits where one could imbibe and explore the heavens that don't get used after dark because they close the damn bar. This said, the pool is excellent, the hot tubs and roman bath are wonderful and all guests have access to that. But those are expected in a caliber resort that this claims to be. Again, the food and beverage situation are abysmal. 2 stars.

Yelp
The balcony was kind of messy. It was winter so I don't fault them too much. It was sturdy after all. The food at the restaurant left much to be desired. Overall this was a good spot for the money and I recommend a visit.

Yelp
Our trip was ruined by poor management at the front desk. We had 2 major issues: 1. We had complained to Olga the night manager on New Years Eve 1/31/23 that another guest in the laundry room had removed our clothing from the dryer while we stepped away to get more change to put in the dryer since one round of 45 minutes drying did not seem to suffice leaving our clothes still soaking wet. The guest refused to give up the dryer that she had stolen from me. I caught her when I came back and asked her if I could have the dryer back, and she told me "no she needed it". We got into a conversation for 15 minutes where I tried to plead with her to give the machine back, leaving me very upset & in tears when she refused. I needed the clothes to be dry before our NYE dinner reservation so that we had clothes to wear out (my husband left his underwear at home so we really had no choice), I made the tough decision to move the person's clothes from the only other dryer next to us with the intention of putting it back when ours was finished and putting more money back into it. It turned out to be an employees clothing (why was an employee doing their laundry when the entire building only has 2 machines during the busiest peak season of the year?). The employee returned and was upset that I had moved her clothes and did not accept the offer that my husband gave her to replace her quarters to finish drying her things. We told Olga at the front desk what had happened, & she said she would take care of it. We returned to our room and someone knocked on our door with a bottle of red wine as an apology for the situation. No one ever asked if we drank alcohol? We do not. That was the only thing they had offered. 2. Towards the end of our trip, there were extremely noisy kids running around the hallways screaming staying in room 418 and a dog yapping. We had called down to complain and they said they were sending security up. 20 minutes later and we still hear the noise, no security. I went downstairs to ask if they were sending security up, they said yes. Eventually the kids stopped running around (not because of security, but because i heard the grandfather come outside and tell them they needed to come inside and be quiet). The front desk offered to look into changing our room but we declined since the noise has subsided finally and we were out the next day and did not want to move all of our stuff. (We ended up finding out the next day that there were actually no more rooms available for them to switch us to, so even if we had said yes we would've been stuck there anyway). Why would they offer something they cannot give? The next day was the day we were checking out, and I was awoken by their dog yapping and scratching and panting at the door early in the morning around 7:30 or 8 AM. I called down again and they told me that security checked, and that because there was someone in the room with the dog watching it and the people owned a timeshare there was nothing more they could do. The dog continued yapping for hours until we checked out. I called down to ask if there was any compensation for our troubles and the woman at the desk said all she could do was refund the resort fee of $225. I said I'd speak to my husband. When we went down to check out, I asked to speak to the manager ROSA PODLASKI. I asked if possible to get a bigger refund, since we felt the amount they were offering comparable to the amount of anxiety and trouble caused and the sizable amount we were paying to stay there ($15,000 within the past year over 2 stays between the stays, restaurants, and spa treatments) was not enough. She looked in our file and says "oh i see there was some kind of laundry incident here?" and turns icy. I explained to her what happened, she then starts getting very heated with me and starts blaming me for "making one of her employees cry because a man touched her underwear in the laundry room". The employee who does not speak very good english thought that my husband moved her laundry because my husband was the one who ran into her in the laundry room and apologized to her and offered to pay her for the extra time on the machine. I explained to Rosa that wasn't true and that it was me who moved it, and even though my husband already explained, the employee was not understanding correctly. Why did Rosa ignore the fact that a guest was upset? I've never been treated like that in my life by a hotel manager when I bring complaints to them. She also accused me of just trying to get money back from the hotel at the end of our stay and said "it didn't seem like these were big problems at the time and now you want money?" When my request for compensation was ignored and Rosa made me upset and cry once again, my husband tried to speak with her. He had more luck than I did, because at the end, she told us she would speak with the director and see what she could do. However we are still waiting!

Yelp
Overall not bad - the service and people are very nice. The rooms are okay a bit on the old side, no AC, there is a box fan in the closet that you can pull out and use. There is a very nice golf course and if you are a golfer it is must play. The food was not bad but not great. Again overall okay but not anything to write home about. It is located in a good spot because you can walk to the village area and have your choice of restaurants, biking, etc. I was part of a group so can provide any insight on the cost. I would recommend visiting if you don't have a need for AC in your room.

Yelp
Service was on point from the check in to all the wait staff. Especially, the crew helping get you on the slopes!! Looking forward to coming back and take in the breath taking views. Awesome job. Thank you, DB

Yelp
Great location in Mountain Village, rooms and the overall hotel need to be renovated as it felt very outdated. The front desk staff were very nice. Not a true luxury hotel in my opinion. Restaurant food was just okay, overall not that impressed for a $650 night hotel.

Jim S. B.

Yelp
Stayed a couple nights early July in one of their "Alpine and Sunset Vistas". I guess I'll get the complaints out of the way then say something nice. Complaints: 1) A surprise daily $25 "resort fee". 2) A surprise daily $34 "parking/valet fee." This is mandatory. 3) They automatically hold another $100 on your credit card for "incidentals". What kind of clientele does this supposed 4-star place have?? 4) No air conditioning. There is a box fan provided so you can circulate the hot air and get miserable faster. We opened up all our windows at night (9 degrees Celsius at night, so nice!) which saved us from the unbearably hot room. 5) The bathroom counter had dried residue stains (soap, ???) and shaving /hair spray ??? bottom of can circle stains, etc. So not a good cleaning job by housekeeping. 6) No reply to voice mails or emails from the place. Looking out the windows, you get a nice view of a weed garden and weeds growing between the stone pavers walk way. Guess they're not investing that 'resort fee' very well. We didn't eat anywhere due to the exorbitant prices; we just had a big, well stocked Igloo cooler in our room. We did patronize a coffee shop in the Mountain Village Center and a burger joint at Telluride proper. So for something nice to say. The pools and spa are awesome. The sauna and steam room and gyms are fantastic. The is a pretentious place for wealthy, pretentious people to be pretentious.

Yelp
The best Ski-in, Ski-out resort experience! Even during Covid, my husband and I enjoyed a lovely week-long stay over Valentine's Day weekend. Our room (sunset king option) was very clean and offered views of the mountains and slopes. We took advantage of the ski valet daily, and often grabbed a beer on the outdoor patio at Altezza when the slopes closed for the day. There is also a large spa on site, and you can take advantage of the pools/fitness centers daily from 7am to 8:30pm. The resort is within walking distance of everything in mountain village, and only a short gondola ride to downtown Telluride. It's a must stay in the area if you're looking for that resort feel.

Yelp
I travel all over the US and I've paid a LOT less for nicer hotels. Couple of things were just truly gross.... mold in the shower and some sort of spooge mark on the couch. The beds weren't comfortable and there is no AC in the rooms. I had read the reviews before we stayed but because a friend had suggested we stay here, I decided to ignore the reviews. I also hoped maybe management would be aware of their low rating status and would have fixed these issues. Nope! Very disappointed...

Yelp
I reached out this spa in April about getting my hair done for my Telluride "wedding" on May 20th 2019 (I was a last minute kind of gal when it came to wedding planning, what can I say). I am so glad I did. Despite being CLOSED for off season, the salon manager and talented stylist, Dallas came in to do my FABULOUS up do! She worked quickly and was very friendly. She also did an amazing job keeping my spirit up while I watched a blizzard blanketing the world hours before I supposed to be outside saying my vows. The spa itself was gorgeous. I loved the full standing mirrors. It made me feel so grand and important. They use the best products! Kevin Murphy bedroom hair smells like a dream-I need a whole other review just to express my gratitude for Dallas introducing me to this line. Out of all the things that actually went right on my wedding day, I'm so glad that my hair was one of them!

Yelp
The Peaks is a 3 star hotel. It's beautiful, clean and the rooms are nice. We did not have a balcony, just a window and a small weird window. As with all businesses- short staffed- meaning no room service- they offered it- yet phone number had voice mail and no one ever called back. Front desk - they were nice - but being from a similar industry - seemed to be airheads. Maybe it's the altitude? ‍. Not much help for anyone having altitude sickness. And up there- almost 9,000 - it can get horrid. Read up and bring meds.

Dani L.

Yelp
So sad this place could be so amazing. Bed bugs and NO AC isn't 4 star at all!! The only positive is we didn't spend much time in the rooms. Olga at the front desk helped us immediately and very nice and helpful. This place could be really amazing with a small remodel.

Yelp
A home away from home in Mountain Village! We visited with our family of five for five days on the slopes. We were truly taken aback by the genuine, warm welcome that David Sussman and the entire Peaks staff gave to us. From the valet to the front desk, the housekeeping staff to the ski valet and every employee we encountered in between, we were treated with warm kindness and prompt service. When the water slide wasn't running because no one was using it, a friendly hotel employee turned it on during operating hours just for our kids. Truly, what makes this hotel stand out among the rest are the genuinely hospitable employees. Second to none! Our room was one of the cleanest we've ever stayed in. Mountain modern, comfortable, and so very clean. The location of the hotel can't be beat, especially if you're skiing. Views that will take your breath away! The ski valet was a real treat and a cup of hot chocolate was a sweet way to welcome us back in from the cold. The restaurant in the hotel served a phenomenal dinner and breakfast buffet, again with friendly servers and true hospitality. The spa/pool area is unbeatable with several hot tubs and an indoor water slide, plus the indoor/outdoor pool option. Steam rooms, sauna, and lounge areas are just a cherry on top of an already relaxing and fun space. We've stayed in many hotels around the country and several in the Telluride/Mountain Village area and The Peaks stands out like a diamond in the rough. It's obvious that they delight in providing top-notch service and take great pride in making guests feel welcome. We'll never stay anywhere else when in the Telluride area.

Yelp
Was really expecting more from here. We should have seen the red flag when we were served warm drinks at the bar but ignored it. Then was met with rude and unhelpful service when there were problems with things in our room. Will not be retuning. Super disappointing.

Yelp
The host Ian sat me in a section with the best view of the sunset. And even though he wasn't my server, Ian spent time with me explaining the menu and made suggestions based on my dietary needs. Alberto also came by twice to personally check in on me and made me feel welcomed. And the bartender Jordan made sure my water was always filled up. I can't wait to come back this summer and stay at this place. The service was amazing and the food/dessert was delicious

Yelp
I was very disappointed by my stay at the Peaks. I definitely felt the experience didn't live up to the expense. We paid over $500 for one night. You can tell they have taken shortcuts to many upgrades over the years. The bed was like sleeping in a hot dog bun. I couldn't lay on my side without rolling back into the middle. They have no AC, just fans. We slept with the window open the entire night and never could get the room comfortable. The room needs more outlets for modern convenience. We found one under the bed and one next to the window. They didn't even have one at the office desk for a laptop. If I had to plug in my computer or phone I had to sit on the floor next to the window or drag a chair across the room. I thought the wall art was interesting at first glance. They had black and white photos from Telluride's past. Then I realized they only have five pictures printed out hundreds of times. You couldn't walk ten feet without seeing a repeat. One of the biggest disappointments was the pool hours - they ended at 7pm. I was really hoping to use the hot tub after sunset when it would finally cool off from the 90 degree heat. There were constant other reminders of the cheap/tacky feel to the place: the TP dispenser in the public restroom was falling off the wall, the sidewalk lights leading toward the gondola were more than half burned out, etc. These things may seem small, but I expected more from a hotel that charged SO much. I guess you're just paying for location, which was great (even if we had a view of the parking lot), but in the end, I wouldn't recommend this place to others and I will not return.

Yelp
There is no denying how beautiful the views are from here! We started off as a group of 4 and added a few more people as our meal went on. Our server was very nice and accomodating. I ordered the Kale and Brussel Sprout Salad, added grilled chicken. The chicken was grilled very well. The salad however, had a sweet chili vinaigrette as the dressing. It was not a vinaigrette, it was the Mae Ploy Sweet Chili Sauce as it comes straight out of the bottle. Sure I like to dip some chicken in that sauce, an egg roll etc, but not the chili sauce as the actual dressing. I think a great lemon vinaigrette would really compliment the salad much more. Keep the sweet chili sauce for eggrolls. My husband had the burger and beer special for $15 he really enjoyed it.

Yelp
Gorgeous views inside and out, this Resort & Spa is the bomb! We even saw a wedding reception take place at the downstairs patio. And when it's outside of ski season, I can get a better deal here than a Best Western in Durango! The only tiny little thing that bugged us was the outlet plugs - they were not very giving when you try to plug in your own appliances... People in Mountain Village is so nice, I'm lead to believe we were better off staying here than, say, in Telluride. Getting to ride the gondola up (to a nice market) and down (to the town of Telluride) is awesome! It is free public transportation but I'm sure your resort and parking fees helped pay for it! I will recommend anybody to stay here!

Yelp
This review is strictly for Antonio. We felt very taken care of by him during our entire stay and his level of customer service and attention to detail really made a difference in our overall experience at the hotel. He even checked in with us regarding a car that was valeted under our room that number that was not ours and wanted to make sure we did not get overcharged. He was such a delight and elevated our overall experience at the hotel.

Yelp
During our stay in December 2022, my wife was badly injured at the Peaks Hotel. She slipped on ice getting out of their hot tub and severely hurt her ankle and leg due to them having no signs posted or any warnings about ice around the hot tub. They also did nothing to prevent or remove the ice from building around the hot tub. The injury greatly affected the rest of our stay in a very negative way. The injury prevented us from doing many things and left my wife suffering in pain for almost the entire stay. Even worse, the Peaks Hotel refused to do anything about the injury or help us at all. The Peaks Hotel refused to take any responsibility for the entire incident and furthermore provided horrible service after the injury. On top of that, we were left with over a thousand dollar bill from the emergency room where they took her after she fell and hurt herself. They completely ruined our stay due to their gross incompetence and negligence with the entire matter. We really tried to work out something with them repeatedly, but they refuse to take any responsibility or do anything to remedy the situation. Thus, I would highly recommend staying anywhere else in beautiful Telluride, other than the Peaks Hotel. Otherwise, stay there at your own risk!

Yelp
This resort is our most favorite this side of the continental divide. David, the front desk manager, is beyond amazing. He is a wonderful person and cares about his guests. He does whatever it takes to make guests comfortable and have a great stay. The spa at the peaks is the best spa in Colorado. I would say it tops the Broadmoor spa. The therapists are not just massage therapists. They are healers. The massages here are not like any other and they go above and beyond for the client. The peaks is the best resort in Telluride without a doubt. Thank you for making our stay the best ever.

Yelp
Terrific place - probably the most beautiful views in the Telluride area. The staff is very friendly and attentive. If you want great ideas or recommendations for dinner or other places in town, they will not steer you wrong. If you want some great insights, ask for a Coach - he's been there for awhile and can help you with pretty much anything. I'd recommend this place to anyone!

Yelp
Pretty swanky place. Valey parking. Ski valet- no shlepping your skis, poles, board up to your room. They'll store it all for you. FYI- if leaving before 8am let them know and make arrangements for early AM access. Room was huge with 2 king size beds, mini fridge, coffee maker, big bathroom. HOT TUBS! Water slide too! Ski in/out! See ski valet again. Short walk to the gondola to head to town for dinner.

Yelp
I love this resort. Front desk staff is perceptive and kind. They really go above and beyond. Aggressive hospitality!Lauren and Evelyn are always on top of it. Love the rooms and new beds. The free gondola from the village into town is very close. The pool is amazing and the property is stunning. Definitely the best view in the village.

Highly disappointed in this hotel , don't get me wrong the location is amazing and the views are incredible. However the rooms are run down and not kept up for the price they charge. We paid upwards of 600 a night this past weekend and wish I would have read the reviews before I booked. This hotel seems to be using COVID to be lazy and get away with minimal customer service. First no glasses in the room , you have to walk to the front desk and get plastic cups ( even if you have a nice bottle of wine , yes plastic cups ). No housekeeping or a even an option to ask. Fine , I understand considering our current situation but put enough soap , coffee , shampoo, toilet paper , and towels in the room for more than one night. Ice ? Forget about it , ice machines are locked and ice buckets are taken out of the rooms, you have to call and ask for it but ..... no one answers the phone at all. So during our two night stay we had to get supplies about ten times .. not one person brought it to our room. Also the reason I booked the hotel was the pool area and hot tub after our hikes ..... You guested it CLOSED the day we wanted to use it. Most likely will never come back to this hotel horrible experience. Also I never saw one staff member wipe down anything, valet carts were gross , elevator buttons gross, and no sanitizer between floors. It's funny all the bad reviews ( it's a long list ) and not one comment from the management ... I will be disputing this charge for a service not provided .

Yelp
Our family spent a wonderful week in Telluride. We stayed in a 3 bedroom condo right in the village, but an issue arose when we had to check out by 10 am and we have 3 kids (one being 2) with a flight at 3 pm. My husband called The Peaks and spoke to someone on Thursday. We asked if they had a room for Saturday, check in 10 am ish and to obviously charge us for the night, even though we would leave that day by 2 pm. The guy told my husband yes, and it would be $500. Saturday morning my husband headed over there and talked to someone else at the front desk. I told him I wish he'd gotten the two rude workers' names bc I'd leave them right here for ya. Well, this guy and gal could not understand for the life of them how we wanted to be charged for 1 night even though we wouldn't be there after 2 pm. He then said he could have a room ready by 4 pm. What in the world? What good does that do us? The entire conversation was very rude. He then said it'd be $1400. Lol. We walked right on over to Madeline and received IMPECCABLE service. The hotel is beautiful. The staff was amazing. We paid $900 for 5 hours. We will never give The Peaks our business ever again (we had lunch and dinner there), and I'll tell all my friends as well. If you want exceptional service and a beautiful hotel, stay at Madeline instead. I'm going to go leave them a 5 star review now.

Yelp
Don't let the stars mislead you on this property, it is a beautiful resort and for the most part the staff is great! I did say for the most part... the reason I only gave this place 3 stars is the restaurant. It started out great, we went down to grab some dinner around 7:45-Ish and then went out side to grab some spectacular pics of the sunset and then everything went down hill. Our waiter, whom I'm guessing has never worked in the restaurant/service industry before, took 20-ish minutes to get us water then didn't even pour it (it is a high end restaurant where they bring water in a bottle and pour it for you) then he came back 20-ish minutes later again and took out drink order but didn't know what whiskeys, bourbons or Scotch they had... he said he was gonna go check and then he was gone. Another waitress stepped up and took over our table after about another 20-ish minuets, at this point she took our food order. She checked on our drinks (she wasn't 100% sure about what liquors they had either but she was better) she returned and told us that she put in our drink order but the bar was out of glasses and it was gonna be awhile. About another 20-ish minuets the manager came over with our drinks and apologized. At this point it is 9:05 and we still didn't have any food other than a loaf of bread that the waitress dropped of to sustain us. We finally got our food at 9:45 and my wife's fillet was way over cooked, she ordered medium rare and it came well done, my mash potatoes and hers was cold. The waitress came over and noticed that we weren't happy and then noticed that her stake was way over cooked and apologized and went to the kitchen to have it remade. She returned and said that the kitchen need the food back to verify that it was over cooked, never had that happen before at high end restaurant. Once again the manager came over and apologized again and went and got us more drinks. (they brought our whiskey in wine glasses, it was ok, I poured them into our existing rocks glasses) At this point the waitress came out and said that they ran out of mashed potato's, we asked for spaghetti and meatballs and she told us that the kitchen closed at 9:00 (it is now 10:20) I just looked at her calmly and reminded her that we was sat at 7:45 and she agreed and the kitchen maid is spaghetti and meatballs, it was good. Obviously the manager told us that they were comping our meals and drinks, we thanked him a number of times, he insisted and told us how embarrassed he was and that was that. We tipped our waitress $20 and thanked her a number of times for her positive attitude. (Behind the scenes on all of this, the manager was being chewed out by a number of tables for similar experiences, poor guy! Also there were too many other little blunders too add to this review as well.) We finally went up to our beautiful room some time after 11:00! The resort is high end, the fantastic girl at the desk hooked us up on our room. She gave is a $400 room for $295 with a balcony. The valet guys were great, they accommodated us with our motorcycle.

Yelp
Was recently here for a ski weekend. Lovely room, comfy bed, and really nice bathroom. Great view from the balcony. Ski valet was really convenient in the mornings, and can't complain about the ski-in bonus coming off the mountain at the end of the day. Also enjoyed great food and super friendly service in the Altezza Dining room (which also has a gorgeous view). We had the same upbeat server every day with consistently great service. The spa was also phenomenal! I had an incredible massage there and wished I had booked for more than one hour. Also, the the locker room area, there is a steam room, dry sauna, and jacuzzi tub. All facilities were spotless and so relaxing. The locker room area itself was really clean, and the shower facilities were great. Also, if you like a little fun, don't miss the two story water slide that shoots into the indoor pool! One star off because the room was just uncomfortably hot. We had to leave our door open every night and let the winter air come in as there was no way to control the temperature inside otherwise.

Yelp
The Ski Valet is awesome. Thomas and his team are just wonderful and definitely made our skiing experience so much more wonderful. Thank you for taking care of our whole group and making everyone feel as if they are your most precious client.

Yelp
Save your money and go some place else. Booked this place last minute as a treat to myself when I lost my campsite because of the surrounding fires. Spent over $1300 for two nights. Zero room service. Their reasoning is because they can't go into the rooms. Won't even deliver it to the outside of the room. But they'll deliver ice, in a plastic bag... without an ice bucket and then just shrug their shoulders when they say they don't have one. So My ice is currently in the room garbage can. Stains on the furniture, holes in the bed linens, hair on the pillow, nasty shower floor, and no AC in the rooms. The only redeeming factor of my room was the balcony and view... the cobwebs with dead fly was an added bonus which I assume was covered by the resort fee. Buyer beware!!!

Yelp
We've stayed at the Peaks half a dozen times over the last nine years. In the past, every single stay was beautiful, clean, felt luxurious, and exceeded our expectations. This year was a major disappointment. It's been two years since our last trip to Telluride, and the hotel has aged poorly. Stucco was missing in a few chunks on the outside of the building. Carpets in the room were old and in need of replacement. Baseboards and bed frames had big gashes in them - which I can understand toward the end of ski season - but this is September. It seems like nothing was repaired after the ski season. Perhaps we've been lucky in the past, but every room has always had robes and slippers. This time, we had none. I always enjoyed the plush robes. We really missed the nice touch. The worst, and most offending part of our room was the bathroom. Chipped sinks, moldy caulking, filthy shower doors and tile that looks to be 25 years old. I was shocked how desperately it needed remodeling. I've included pictures. I've recommended this hotel to everyone. It's the Peaks! It's gorgeous! Best views! But now? I could not and would not recommend the Peaks to anyone.

Yelp
Perfect stay! This is a top notch property with full service. Rooms are spacious, tastefully decorated and comfortable. Each room has a Kureg coffee maker, refrigerator and fans. Bathrooms are enormous, well lit and have separate shower and jetted tub. Perfect location with only a few minutes walk to the main gondola station. Just outside of the lodge there is a massive balcony with perhaps some of the best sunset views in Mountain Village. There is a small breakfast counter where you can get coffee and breakfast before heading out to ski the mountain. There is also a fantastic ski valet, where they will store your gear and warm your boots for you. Kids (and adults) will love the giant game room with pool, ping pong, and video games. My favorite thing is the fitness center. It has a full gym (machines, free weights, high/low pulley, TRX, squat racks, benches, ropes, sled, chains, bosu), free group exercise classes (spin, yoga, conditioning, etc), a huge cardio room (elliptical, treadmill, stair master, rowing machine, Peloton bikes - bring your clip in shoes!). The spa also has an indoor and outdoor pool with a huge slide for kids to play, several hot tubs, dry and wet saunas, lap pool. On top of all of that it has a full service spa. For people who enjoy working out, you will love the amenities. There is also a full service fancy restaurant onsite.

Yelp
Loved this place! I came here with my wife and 2 kids as our first trip to Telluride and the first time that my family skied in the West (we live on the east coast). The hotel is exactly what we wanted. The rooms and spacious, clean, and quiet. The service is great - the concierge knew me by name! The ski in/out is on a green slope and leads directly to a lift. The ski valet and rental shop are on site, extremely friendly, and really efficient. Overall, this is the only hotel I'd consider if I return to Telluride again.

Yelp
The customer service and management staff were extremely unprofessional and rude. Very disappointing experience for our honeymoon. We had hoped to enjoy time together at the Peaks but instead we were treated poorly. After reading a few other reviews it appears this might be a concern stakeholders should be trying to resolve. Colorado is amazing and thankfully we found another resort to spend our time. We would not recommend the Peaks to anyone.

Yelp
I don't understand the bad reviews, but suspect that, because the bad reviews are so old, the hotel at the time was under different management. The Peaks Resort & Spa is beautiful. Seriously. The staff, while somewhat aloof, is very attentive and efficient. The view from the deck off Palmyra Bar is absolutely breathtaking. The rooms themselves are large, clean and well appointed. Pretty bathrooms, good water pressure. One star off, however, for lack of air conditioning. I realize The Peaks is in Mountain Village, which on average I'm sure is very cool (to freezing), but we were there this past weekend and our room was downright stuffy at night. Made for a somewhat uncomfortable night sleep, but oh well. I highly recommend this hotel. I'd like to go back, and that's for sure.

Yelp
Hands down worst hotel experience I've ever had. The staff not only seemed confused and clueless but also irritated when asked questions or for help. Instead of feeling like a guest I felt I was treated as if I were an inconvenience. In addition, the expensive room I paid for was incredibly below average and not even remotely worth the price I paid. I understand compromises needing to made due to COVID restrictions and the employment shortage in the county however I am extremely disappointed at how unwanted and uncomfortable I felt during my stay here.

Yelp
All good things must end. When I originally wrote this review I was new at the Peaks and very enamored of all it had to offer. It is still a spectacular facility with incredible potential. Unfortunately the owners, like I did a year ago, have come to some difficult conclusions and are looking to walk away. The Peaks Resort & Spa is up for sale. . . again. Whether a lack of competent management, lack of owners willing to commit enough to really repair this aged property, commitment by the main marketing partners of Telluride and Mountain Village to have any sort of cohesive tourism strategy, sensibility of the county to create a realistic tourism taxation to support air into the region, opposition of a small but affluent and influential few to any growth in tourism (and invasion of their own little Shangri-La), or a combination of all the above, I fear the Peaks will continue the sad handover from one losing venture to the next until its eventual demise. Sad.

Yelp
I don't even know where to start. This place was one disappointment after another. Upon arriving, I was told that our room wouldn't not be ready until 4pm (we arrived at 3:30pm) - however the front desk clerk said, "We GUARANTEE that your room will be ready at 4pm." At 4:02pm, I asked if our room was ready and she no. That should have been my indication as to how the rest of this stay would go. I saw that it did look like a room was ready and I asked about that room and she said that even though it was the same type of room the guests checking in for that room went to dinner...so there was a room ready and we couldn't have that room even though we were physically at the hotel and it was past the check-in time...and the guests they were giving it to weren't even there. Secondly, there is no A/C! Wish I would've known that before because it was sweltering. I asked for a fan and they said there weren't anymore and that I should, "leave the patio door AND the front door open at night for a breeze." Leave the front door open while I sleep...WHAT?! I didn't even know what to say to that. Thirdly, the pool closes at 7pm. It's barely even dark by 7pm...I've never heard of a pool closing that early. Next, the TV is a streaming TV, although, they aren't set up to stream and apparently no one knew how to set them up. Also, I asked to speak to a manager multiple times and the response was always, "There is not manager here," or, "I think I am the manager." Absolutely mind-blowing. The shower was a joke and there was mold everywhere in the bathroom, as well as hair. I'm not sure I've had a worse experience.

Yelp
First time stay at the Peaks, but my husband has been coming here for several years. Almost everyone knew him by name and welcomed me warmly. Really appreciated Coach Miller and Sam especially. They stopped by and visited with us several times. Our housekeeping staff was very meticulous, and our room was immaculate every day. The spa was lovely and big enough to get lost in it. I was given a tour by Breezy at the front desk, who went out of her way to show me around. They offer free fitness classes and yoga at the spa, so definitely check them out and get the schedule. The ski conditioning class in the gym area is usually on Friday nights taught by Coach Miller, and had I known about it in time, I would've liked to have taken the class. My only caveat is that I can't speak for the food at Altezza for dinner, as we didn't eat at the resort in the evening, only for breakfast. The breakfast there was wonderful and I really liked that they had moved the breakfast area from downstairs (apparently it was downstairs before), into the main Altezza dining room where the view was better. It was also nice to have plenty of al a carte menu options, instead of only the breakfast buffet. Loved sitting by the fire in the front lobby and curling up while watching the snow outside. Bottom line, great relaxing place to be.

Yelp
We have been coming to telluride for years and the first few times we stayed at The Peaks since we have stayed at a few others and decided to stay at The Peaks again this year. Checked in a few days ago and this is not the same Peaks. Hospitality is gone, room is tried - with holes in the carpeting, and staff doesn't seem to know what is going on. I realize they have new staff seasonally but they clearly aren't training them well. Overall not even close to the experience you except for the price and not what it use to be. I recommended looking at other mountain village hotels.

Dan S.

Yelp
Not worth the price tag. Rooms need a facelift, beds were WAY too soft/uncomfortable and no air conditioning, so barely slept. Some staff was great, some indifferent (e.g. pool staff was not keeping track of people who had left pool chairs and just left their towels behind, so told us we couldn't sit even though no one was there, just towels). Staff was playing the ENTIRE Arianna Grande album with cursing by the family pool in the middle of a Sunday afternoon. Spiderwebs all over our balcony. Front desk didn't even ask about our stay when we checked out. Would have told them the same thing posted here. Beware of the additional $24 valet parking fee you'll have to pay, as there is no free parking.

Yelp
We've stayed at the Peaks a couple of times, so there are positives and negatives Negatives: The rooms are just ok, walls are paper thin and we either had loud guys up talking until 2am or a barking dog next door all night long. Positives: The spa is beautiful and the massage I had was fantastic. All of the staff is very warm and friendly and everything is kept spotlessly clean. The restaurant dinner of spaghetti and meatballs was good but overpriced, and on a return visit the bartender was completely overwhelmed and very slow.

Yelp
Tiffany in the reservation department was the worst staff member I have ever spoke to regarding booking a hotel. She was put off, basically called me a liar when I read her the Get a Room policy and argued with me for over 25 minutes....and we have not even been to the Hotel yet. Our reservation is in 2 days. Her attitude has changed my excitement to dread on this get away...

Yelp
What a disappointment! From arrogant front desk service (Travis), refusal to return multiple calls from the General Mgr, they caused stress and discomfort, charged top dollar and seemed almost pleased to say "No". Food was institutional and 'off' - ever have a brown banana where the peel was actually splitting open? We had them every day (that there were bananas) and it pretty much characterized the rest of the buffet. The room was noisy, dimly lit (forget reading unless you bring a Kindle), and worn out. Psst - the 70s are calling, and they want their furniture back:) Bonus: No need to worry about the carpet - nobody else does, either! Gave one star for the ski concierge, which was as good as it gets This place has recently changed hands and the new management is unresponsive, inexperienced and, I'd say, lazy and care-less with just a touch of self-righteous arrogance and zero accountability. So many nice places in Telluride - why go there? Never again.
