The Pearl Eatery

The Pearl Eatery was something me and my girlfriend looked forward to for some time before we booked our reservation... my regret is we did not book it sooner in the year and had more chances to eat there! The atmosphere of the establishment is very cozy and welcoming, from the deck and beautiful garden flowers, to the inside, rustic looking with nice art pieces and decor on the walls. The staff was knowledgeable about the food and wine, and asked us how things were just the right amount, without being intrusive at all. The food itself was stunning, both in looks and taste. I myself had a beef entree and main dish, both of which were nice tender, juicy and well seasoned beef cuts that was tasty enough to light my pallet ablaze! The desert I had was a chocolate mousse which was dense, sweet, creamy and delicious! Every bite was a pleasure from start to finish. The presentation of all dishes was finished with finesse, and looked amazing! Everything about The Pearl Eatery is amazing and we cannot wait to go back next season. They change the menu every month or so to keep up with what is in season, for fresh delicious ingredients, and it’s also nice to try new things. We plan on going back a few times next year and my mouth is salivating already!! Fantastic and romantic date spot if you wish to make an impression on the one you love!

This past summer my boyfriend and I absolutely loved our experience at The Pearl Eatery from start to finish. After parking we walked around the exterior admiring the decor and greenery. We were greeted promptly and told we’d be seated shortly and we waited out in the sun on a cute little bench until being walked up the stairs to our ADORABLE intimate little 2-person table. The atmosphere was so welcoming and warm I forgot I was even in a restaurant. Even the plates and cutlery were whimsical and romantic. Our waitress was kind, genuine and attentive. The meal started off with a crab appetizer that was compliments of the chef. We enjoyed and savoured and fell in love with every bite right up until my last spoonful of rhubarb panna cotta. We were chatted with by lovely staff and owners at the end of the night who were clearly passionate about their amazing establishment and what they do, and made sure to check that our evening went smoothly and that we loved everything, which we most certainly did. Hurricane Dorian caused them to have to close early for the season so we didn’t get to go back a second time, as eager as we were, but we’ve been talking ever since about how much we anticipate our next visit back, and next summer can’t come soon enough! If you are looking for a lovely and romantic night that will make you forget about the bustling world as you step foot into a lovely cozy little dwelling with ever-changing, inspiring and tantalizing food, I highly recommend The Pearl Eatery.

Just outstanding. The food is pure magic, the ambience is all PEI (love the artwork) and the service is 10 out of 10, just perfect in everyway. Easily one of the best restaurants in PEI and I would argue Canada!

What a romantic dinner! Food was beautifully presented and it tasted amazing! Service was outstanding! A must stop while in Prince Edward Island.

Island gourmet dining at it's finest. Efficient friendy service, fantastic favors of taste in the chief's menu, elegant atmosphere. Wonderful eatting experience!

Delicious food, exceptional service, what a great experience. Not bad pricing either for all that. A definite food stop if you're in Cavendish.

Probably a 3.5 rating. We ate here tonight and overall it was not up to par. We have dined here the last 3 years. We both had the seafood special. The appetizer was interesting but a little cumbersome. The flavor was good. The main had good flavor but we both agree the halibut was a very small portion and was overcooked. It was not very moist. Both desserts were very good. We really missed the biscuits..😔.that was one of the main reasons why we went. We think they should bring them back. Service was excellent as usual.
