Staying at The Sebel after a delayed flight we were tired and hungry - The Pen was recommended for our evening meal. Wednesdays is quiz night so we chose to eat in the quieter part of the restaurant. We really appreciated the very friendly service. Our meal - Shark Bay Crab Spagettini and Crispy Skinned Baramundi with soba noodle and bean sprout salad was washed down with a glass of Margaret River Domaine Naturaliste Dicovery SBS wine - it was all delicious. Exceptional service from Sierra she was attentive, friendly, and made us feel genuinely welcomed from start to finish. The mango daiquiri was amazing, perfectly balanced and refreshing, and the squid ink spaghetti was absolutely divine rich, flavoursome, and cooked to perfection. Such a fantastic dining experience overall. We’ll definitely be back!

We visited The Peninsula Bar & Restaurant on a perfect spring day, and enjoyed the outdoor quayside seating. Ordering from the QR code on the table was effortless, and the food was delicious. We ordered the Soba salad, parmigiana and the shark bay crab pasta.

Was going to give it 2 stars but then we found some chicken in our barramundi dish. Cocktails were TERRIBLE- worst I’ve had in years. Food was unbelievably average yet with a non average price. I’d avoid this place. Edit: changed back to 2 as they were really good when we notified them of the chicken

Such a shame. We used to be regulars here - we loved the vibe, the staff we knew all of, the service and the food. Sadly, the food is the only thing that has stayed consistently great. And the only reason we continue to come and basically serve ourselves. For the last I would say 3 or so years, and what seems like a major overhaul of front office house staff (that constantly seem to change, so no continuity or getting to know them like there used to be) the venue has gone from hospitality focused, warm, friendly, the restaurant side being a great ‘upmarket’ spot for special occasions, and the remaining venue a perfect spot for everything else in between - the venue is now just a faceless, impersonal building. Which is unfortunate for the poor kitchen (who seem to be the one saving grace), often we see what I assume is the Chef working outside the kitchen sending food while the manager (assuming? Though this Monday when we visited, he was wearing shorts, a tshirt and a hat!). Often we come and there isn’t even any house music on!? May I say, the venue is worth a visit for the food alone - it’s consistent, it’s fast, priced fairly and always tasty. We love to bring friends, but these days do so with a forewarning about the service. Such a shame for what is (and was) such a great venue. I hope whoever has the power to do something about the management comes to their senses, and brings the place back to its former glory by way of service.

Dined at the quieter restaurant section so service was personal & easy for conversation in a relaxed atmosphere, with a view of the bay. Food was good. We ordered oysters but was delivered scallops instead. The restaurant out of goodwill gave us the scallops for free, on top of the oysters that were delivered later. It was a nice gesture 👍. We were well pleased with the desserts (Citrus Brulee with Almond biscotti & Sticky Date Pudding with Butterscotch, vanilla bean ice cream).

Peninsula Bar and Restaurant is an absolute gem in Mandurah. From the moment you arrive, the waterfront location and relaxed atmosphere set the tone for a fantastic experience. The food was excellent — fresh, well-presented, and full of flavour. Every dish felt thoughtfully prepared, and the quality really stood out. Drinks were just as good, with a great selection and well-made cocktails. What truly made the visit memorable was the service. The staff were friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming without being intrusive. You can tell they care about their guests and take pride in what they do. Perfect for a casual lunch, sunset drinks, or a special dinner by the water. Highly recommend and will definitely be back.

We had a lovely experience today celebrating my birthday. The food was absolutely delicious with the crab spaghetti and beetroot n chicken salad having perfect flavours. To top off our lunch was the service we received from Sierra who greeted us with a welcoming smile. She was so attentive ,caring and considerate to our needs throughout the meal. She must be commended for being so courteous and dedicated. Thankyou .

Only had a drink and French fries/chips while sitting outside. Beautiful view. The atmosphere was pretty chill on a Friday afternoon. Service was fast and very friendly in the bar. The outside seating faces the hotel and is a nice place for having dinner or just drinks.
