This City on Florida's Emerald Coast Has a New Hotel With 800 Feet of Gorgeous Beach, a Private Dock, and a Super-chic Pool

"The beautiful area, home to sugary white-sand beaches, quaint fishing towns, and unspoiled natural landscapes, just welcomed The Pensacola Beach Resort, a new waterfront property steps away from the Gulf of Mexico. Guests truly feel like they are in a private oasis. We are the only hotel on Pensacola Beach with 800 feet of Gulf-front beach and 800 feet of sound-side beach on Little Sabine Bay. All 161 guest rooms have unobstructed water views, with those in the Executive King category featuring wraparound balconies. The property also feels quite exclusive, with many spaces, including restaurant Windrose, the indoor bar, and the elevated pool deck overlooking the Gulf, reserved for hotel guests only. However, The Salty Rose, the property's beach bar, is open to the public and offers a menu of casual classics and plenty of fresh seafood options. The hotel sits on a very unique spot right between two of the longest stretches of protected national seashore in the world, the Gulf Islands National Seashore and Fort Pickens. In addition to swimming and sunbathing, guests can use the private dock on Little Sabine Bay to launch their kayaks and stand-up paddleboards. Nightly rates at The Pensacola Beach Resort start at $449." - Travel + Leisure Editors

My husband and I stay here at this very elegant location, it's very clean and the ocean view is remarkable, the bay view is also charming. At this resort you can see the blue angels perform their air and water show. The food at WindRose was exceptionally good. The Tiki Bar is a nice outdoor space to enjoy without having to leave the resort. Also, this resort is less than 2 miles from downtown Pensacola strip. The staff was helpful, particularly the staff in the WindRose restaurant and the doorman AJ and Mimi at the on-site store and Eric at the front desk.

Spent two days and nights at this establishment. In a nutshell it was a great trip. Clean room, great Restaurant and bar. Like to give out an extra attaboy to Sam and Nicole in the bar and Restaurant. Great people and went out of their way every time we had questions about anything. Actually everyone we came in contact with was extremely pleasant and helpful. Would definitely recommend it to anyone looking to relax on the beach in this area.

We absolutely loved our stay at Pensacola Beach Resort! Beautiful location right on the beach, with a great restaurant inside and a fun tiki bar by the pool. The service was amazing—special thanks to Sam, who took such great care of us and knew our order by day three! Our room was spacious, spotless, and the balcony was a wonderful bonus. We got engaged the day we arrived and were treated so kindly—it truly made this the best vacation and engagement. We’ll always stay here when we return! Also, a little bonus we absolutely loved was the water dispenser in the lobby! Very handy!

Google
What a beautiful hotel. From the moment we walked in the foyer with the sea as the backdrop to checking into our room, we instantly felt relaxed. The check-in was really quick and easy, and all the staff at the front desk we were very helpful throughout our stay (as we had had to make two separate bookings) as well as efficient in providing information. ||Our room was a twin queen bed room, with gulf view and balcony - it didn’t disappoint. It was stunning. We loved sitting out there watching the dolphins every morning having a swim (yes, every morning!!). The room|Was clean, and had everything we needed in it with housekeeping coming when you needed. The rooms are really spatious.||We parked our car here the whole time - free and under ground - easy to use. ||The pool was great - it was really hot on the beach and we didn’t have umbrellas so used the pool for longer periods. It was lovely - and big shout out to the staff who couldn’t do more for you at the bar there, as well as quick service and very friendly! ||The beach is a wooden walk away, so literally on it. Was lovely visiting here when the sun was going down, or exploring for turtles after dark with our red light torches. ||There is water filling stations too which was a bonus! ||We did eat at the sister restaurant, the salty rose! It was delicious so can imagine the restaurant in the hotel is the same! The hotel is about a 10-15 minute walk to the main board work with lots of restaurants, and about 10 minutes to the pier (unless you cut the beach way where it is a lot less!)||Honestly, we had the best time and so glad we booked to extend our stay!

We came for our anniversary. This isn't really a resort so much as it's a hotel with onsite amenities. There are two restaurants, one in the lobby area called the Windrose that serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner. And the Gypsy Rose serves lunch and dinner, and it's a short walk. It's more of the open air beach restaurant. There's also a tiki bar at the pool area that serves alcohol and food. The beach is literally right there, and they have complimentary beach towels that you can use for beach or pool. There's also a cute little gift shop there in the lobby. There are a ton of restaurants within driving distance as well. The room was clean and comfortable, and we got one of the Gulf -facing rooms with a balcony. Great place, great experience. Would go again.

We had a wonderful experience at the Pensacola Beach Resort. The direct beach access made our stay so relaxing, and the rooms were beautifully clean and comfortable. We especially enjoyed the pool, and the resort felt like a private escape on a busy island. It was also very family-friendly—our 3-year-old loved it! We’ll definitely be coming back.

Google
We stayed 3 nights here. The resort boasts an upscale design featuring refined décor that creates a fabulous first impression. Our room, with a gorgeous Gulf Ocean view balcony, was spacious and clean. The sound of the ocean made us feel calm and relaxed; that was a truly remarkable experience. The resort's location made it easy for us to access the attractions and restaurants. The staff went above and beyond to ensure our satisfaction. However, if you apply a discount when booking the room online, be sure to double-check that the receptionist applies it correctly on the check-in form. Generally, our experience was outstanding, and we definitely will come back.

We really enjoyed our stay at this resort. The parking was convenient, and the rooms are clean and spacious. There’s direct access to a beautiful beach, and I highly recommend the balcony room overlooking the Gulf. The pool was also very nice. The WindRose restaurant onsite has a great breakfast. Our sever Donna was excellent. We plan to return again next summer!

Yelp
My husband and I stayed here for a week for our honeymoon. Overall, it was great! The hotel was nice, the heated pool was lovely, the food at the restaurant was amazing. I can't speak to the housekeeping service since we opted to keep our "do not disturb" sign out the entire time. My biggest gripes were the bathroom and food access. Our bathroom had a shower that wasn't separated level-wise from the rest of the room. The water ran out of the shower and into the bathroom. There is a drain in the middle of the bathroom, but it meant that 3/4 of the floor was wet during and after showering. We had to place floor towels stratetically so that we had dry places for our feet. As for the food, we are big leftovers people. If we have leftovers, we take them home and finish them later. The room had a mini-fridge but no microwave. We thought this was odd, but assumed that there was one downstairs. When we asked a waiter at the restaurant downstairs, we were informed that they don't even have a microwave and even if they did they wouldn't be allowed to take outside food to warm up. If you are a big leftover person/family, this probably isn't the place for you.

Yelp
The resort is beautiful. The beach is heavenly. The dining/bar areas are exceptional and moderately priced. The rooms are well decorated. The beds are high - very, very high. We moved a small bench to crawl up onto the bed. The one in our room seemed to be close to falling apart. Hopefully they will fix that problem. The sundries and gift shop is very small and closes each day at 4.

Yelp
Absolutely amazing resort on Pensacola Beach! Gracious and very helpful staff from the front desk to the wait staff to housekeeping. Beautiful and well-appointed rooms with great balcony. Good food in the restaurant. Would definitely come back here!

Yelp
Back again but it's no longer Margaritaville. Still pretty much the same. Bell hop upfront was fabulous and so was the greeter by the pool. Overall another good stay!

Yelp
Great location, right in the heart of Pensacola beach! You are close to all of the restaurants and bars on the beach (definitely walkable or drive-able), a 5 min drive to the dog park/beach, and a 15 min drive to downtown Pensacola. The hotel itself is clean, the lobby is beautiful, the staff is friendly, and I had no complaints with our ocean view room. It was clean, and was right on the beach. Wasn't anything "special" or over the top, but a good value for h the price. The restaurant downstairs does have a limited breakfast/lunch menu, and we chose to eat elsewhere for all of our meals.

Yelp
The hotel location is wonderful on a nice stretch of beach and walkable to restaurants and bars. We received an upgraded room with a wonderful view overlooking the pool and ocean. The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom was gigantic with a full tub and separate shower. There were some issues though. The first day we arrived the pool area was locked and closed. They originally said it was open then said it would be open shortly but never opened. They said it was weather related and while the weather the day prior was bad it never even rained so that was unfortunate as we had planned a pool day. Also when I called ahead they said all facilities were open but one of the restaurants was closed for the season still. Lastly we had numerous issues with house keeping forgetting to do things. First day they didn't restock coffee or cups. The next day they cleaned but didn't make the bed or restock shampoo, toilet paper etc. Little issues with staffing along the way turned what could be a 5 star experience into a 4. We enjoyed being there mid week while it was quiet and right before the peak season took off.

Yelp
Good value for the price. Paid about $300/day for gulf view room during March spring break. Nice lobby and building. Great location on quieter end of the beach. No fee for parking. Hotel rooms and hallways smelled like old folks home. Beds creaked and mattress sunk in. Linens scratchy. Pillows felt like polyester fill and overstuffed. Bathroom had mildew and grout issues def not luxurious looking. Pool was small but enjoyed that they had a bar outside and nice live music playing classic rock. No beach chairs. Have to purchase but do provide towels. No room service. No cafe or convenience store. Have to purchase through the bar. They did provide some bottled water. Didn't like the pod system in the room I prefer tea bags. Relatively quiet at night but during the day can get noisy with slamming doors. Bell man was friendly and helpful and will drive you to local restaurants in the golf cart. There are quite a few good options in the area but very crowded. Breakfast was reasonably priced and good but not great. Dinner options are in $30+ range so quite expensive. They do have a lot of mixed drinks. Had a virgin pina colado which was good but poured from a premix. Overall good value but if I had paid more like during. high season I feel it would t be worth it. It's definitely a 3 star hotel.

Yelp
The resort is top notch. The staff is on point. Please stop in and say hello to Ray. He will make you the best Bloody Mary you have ever had. We enjoyed our time here 100%!

Yelp
Clean comfortable rooms with beautiful views - excellent access to the beach - easy access to services and food and such Let's talk customer service - I have been in customer service in one capacity or another for almost 40 years. I admit I get a little Karen-y sometimes because I expect to be treated as how I treat people on my work. Their customer service was STELLAR - from pre-check to extra housekeeping to their bar and restaurants, check out - everyone was on point. I wish I had seen a rinse off station - maybe they had one and I didn't see it - to rinse off the sand before entering the building - the underground parking was tight and I drive a sedan But the service, the view, the rooms - highly recommended

Yelp
Not local friendly. Takes up a lot of beach to exclude residents. Even if I've stayed there several times and recommended it often to others. Margaritaville had a better overall presence.

Michael I.

Yelp
First the hotel itself was very nice, but not very clean. The bathroom floors were filthy. Putting that aside the staff at the front counter did not know their azz from a hole in the ground. We literally had so many problems from these girls we don't want to ever come back. Lies. Lies, lies, and straight to our face. First was with my credit card and oh it's just $50 a day , but if you don't use it they will fall off. We stayed 3 nights had 4 $50 charges that did indeed fall off , but only to be followed by 2 $167 and 2 $217 charges that have not fallen of in fact have gone through. When I confronted the front desk they said it's no big deal just call my card and they can fix it. That really pissed me off , but the next took the cake. I filled out a incident report when I asked them for a copy of the incident report they said they could not provide that they would have to type it out and give me that copy. They took it upon themselves to alter the report then when I asked to see the other report it conveniently got shredded., criminal, what a bunch of dirtbags!

Yelp
The restaurant was wonderful and the service was just outstanding. The room was very spacious and the cleaning everyday was so helpful. Everyone was so kind and the location of the hotel was perfect. I recommend using the bellman for rides to dinner and other things. Everyone here got very well deserved tips. The views are gorgeous no matter what side of the hotel you are on. I would also recommend the massage it was absolutely wonderful. We will definitely be visiting this resort again in the future.

Yelp
Beautiful, clean, and great staff! We enjoyed our meals at the Windrose and they have a great tiki bar ! Each meal was delicious and fresh - the cocktails are exceptional! Our room was clean and spacious- I can recommend this resort as five stars!

Darren K.

Yelp
Recently my partner and I visited your beautiful resort. The last time we were there it was the Margaritaville, and we always get a shot glass. In the gift shop Michelle shared the new vision with us and helped us find hats and t-shirts for our stay, along with guiding us to the bellman and his hours. She was exceptional.

Yelp
I really do not like writing negative reviews, but when you spend almost $3000 for a room, there are high expectations. These expectations were not met. My family and I traveled from Texas to PBR on the 17th for a full week's vacation. Pensacola is beautiful, and we had a great time overall. However, the only negative was this hotel. When we first enjoyed this hotel, it was 2021 and this hotel was Margaritaville. The vibe was very different back then. Beachy, Fun, and welcoming. Upon check-in at Margaritaville, the bellman came out quickly and helped us with our bags. This trip, no one, no huge deal breaker. But, it was a nice touch. Our room (624) had a beautiful view of the gulf. But, the bed furthest from the patio squeaked loudly with any movement. I wanted to call for maintenance, but my wife said it was OK, so we put up with it. Another problem was the shower door, it did not close. Again, we put up with it. Then, it got worse. Our first morning, after getting up around 7am, we were to start our day. The coffee maker had no setups, ie. Creamers or sugars. I texted the desk to request these. I received a "canned" response that my request was sent to housekeeping. OK, this was 7am. We needed our coffee!!! Of course, in the lobby, NO COFFEE, NO WATER. I've never stayed at a hotel that had no coffee or refreshments in the lobby. At 730am still no cream or sugars. I called the desk, the girl asked how many coffee setups we'll need. I replied four. 745am, still nothing. 8am still nothing. I called the front desk again at 815am...ONE HOUR AND FIFTEEN MINUTES WAITING ON SUGAR AND CREAMERS, I asked what was going on....the response? I was told housekeeping was "not in yet." What??? A major hotel with no housekeeping at 815am??? Why couldn't some other staff run it up to us? OK, we all drank black coffee and went out to Publix to load up on coffee, creamers, and sugar. Again, paying almost 3 grand for a week stay, this should not happen. Lastly, housekeeping itself. Horrible. They would take dirty towels, leave us ONE ROLL OF TOILET PAPER, no backup, would not clean the shower or the sink, no floor sweeping, sand remained. I almost booked the new Fairfield Inn down the beach, but I really thought PBR would pick up where Margaritaville left off. Hell no. Next family vacation will not take place at PBR.

Yelp
Terrible experience on New Year's eve 12/31/2023. They had no housekeeping staff to clean rooms. We were given a room after 630 pm. Leaving little time to get ready for New Year's Eve festivities. They gave out free breakfast vouchers and ran out of eggs. Staff came back with a small amount of eggs- poorly run by management in my opinion. The resort is beautiful.... Only reason they got 2 stars.

Yelp
We went here for a quick getaway weekend. Realistically, i would give this place 3.5 stars since many of the ammenities listed were not provided but i will give them the benefit knowing that it was the middle of winter. the "heated" pool is not really heated. the bar lacks selection and the food is average. the hotel room was very clean and the view was AMAZING. staff was great and the texting feature made things convienent. i would love to give this place another try during the tourist season for a re-review.

Jeffrey H.

Yelp
i dont know what the aversion to providing water is, but there is no water to be found here. it is like the plastic police are here -- many hotels have water containers with cups or signs directing you to water -- not here. Our reservation was jacked up -- there were two and the information was different in both. the front desk was not very timely in answering question or acknowledging you standing in front of them. The food -- adequate. your paying for the location, which is beautiful -- but, do your homework on what you want, there are many other places here.
google avatar

Renee D.

Yelp
I'll start with the positives because I'm laying here in bed overlooking the beautiful view of the Gulf. The view from the balcony is breathtaking and listening to the waves made for a great nights sleep. The bed, pillows, and linens are comfortable and high quality. The mood of the room is soothing with its calm colors of cream and sea green. The mini fridge is nice because we always need basics like milk, water, and adult beverages. The location is convenient to everything but walking might be too far. You can drive or call a golf cart taxi to get around. Parking around the area is free. This is a hotel so don't come with any expectations of it being anything like Jimmy Buffet or having a resort in a Key West vibe. There are no activities or music during the week. We were told there is some music on weekends. The room amenities are basic. Few outlets, no USB connections, the TV is postage stamp size, and there is no dining area so you either eat on the bed or on the floor. Basically you are here to enjoy the beach, the pool, the restaurants in the area, and sleep. I got my room at a reduced rate because it's off season and I find great deals. I was very excited to be staying here when I booked, but it's as nice as a Hampton Inn, Baymont, or other average hotel, and not one that costs $399.00 a night.

Yelp
We stayed here in 2016 shorty after they opened and came back this year Oct 2022. Let's start off with check in. At first it was easy enough however when we got to our room the room was already occupied so we had to go back to the front desk. They said they just gave us the wrong room but did not do anything else other than say sorry about that. We got our correct room and upon first inspection this is what I noticed. The chair in the room had a stain on it, the bathroom shower floor was dirty. And I don't mean stained dirty I mean it looks like it wasn't cleaned. Don't get me wrong the room is nice but for the amount you are paying for the room I would expect a bit more attention to detail. Something else I will note is that half the outlets did not work. Also there are very few outlets and tho there are outlets on the lamps themselves the plugs do not fit into them at all. We had to rotate who charged their electronics. We ate at the in house restaurant Frank & Lola's for breakfast on our first morning and the bill for 2 kids and 1 adult was $81.53 so very pricey. I would suggest just going out for breakfast or eating some breakfast bars that you pack. My daughter had pancakes and orange juice and her total was $19. I had a breakfast drink and bacon and my total was $14. My son had 2 eggs, potato's, bacon and orange juice and his total was $21 with a total of $54 but after tax and fees the total was over $81. Pricy for sure. I'm writing this as we are staying here so if it sounds kind of start and stopish that's why. So I found out that anything you order from the resort food or drink wise automatically includes an 18% gratuity even if just ordering a single drink. Thought I'd mention that because of my breakfast notations above from a previous day. Room cleaning, if you want your bed made or your sheets changed make sure you have ZERO personal items on the bed or they will not touch the beds. Make sure you are not in your room or near your room when they are on your hall. If they see you walk in your room but not see you come out (even if you do come out) they will skip your room. Also, they do not replenish the shampoo and things like that unless you ask. Cleaning services are every other day so if you need anything between then you will also have to ask. On that note. We stayed for 7 nights. They cleaned our room on the second full day and didn't clean again until our last day even though I asked on our 3rd day to have cleaning services everyday because we had kids with us. I believe the only reason our room was serviced this day is because we had a stopped up toilet and I had to call down for service on the stopped up toilet. The reason I believe this is because they did a full clean. The floors and everything. Prior to this I had to ask for more toilet paper twice and more towels a few times. We had to take our room trash down to the parking garage trash cans because of the lack of cleaning staff coming to our room to do refresh. We even made it a point to stay off our floor when the cleaning people were on our floor expecting to come back to at least replenished amenities like towels and toilet paper. Because we had to keep asking for towels and no one ever came to replace soiled towels we had an abundance of soiled towels under our bathroom counter. I just expect more attention to details than we received and it was October so not a very busy time. In fact almost the entire week was low key. Our last day there was a BMW convention in the hotel so it was slightly more busy but still pretty calm and chill. One last negative note. The phone only worked part of the time. I had to mess with the receiver several times to get it to work. I also want to note even though service was bad, the staff was very polite and the convenience from Beach to pool was nice. Also, towels are provided at the pool and can be taken to the beach so if you don't want to pack your own towels for the pool and beach you do not have to. There is a convenience of charging to your room or paying right then and there when ordering food or drinks. You can also rent chairs and an umbrella and have it charged to the room. There is a parking garage and lot for parking and you can access the beach easily from the lobby, both parking garage floors and from the pool. Also a nice little hidden gem. There are hammocks out in front of Land Shark right next door that can be accessed even when Land Shark is closed. Check out was simple enough. My husband did the checkout and came back pretty quickly.

Yelp
We decided to take a weekend vaca and stay at this hotel. Upon early arrival the front desk staff was nice and communicative with us about the room being cleaned and that we could hang around the lobby couches or go to the beach or eat, while we wait....so we did. The room ended up being ready within 2 hours or so of us arriving early, not bad. We got into the room and although the decor was pretty ok for their look - it was dirty. Finger prints all over the walls, stains on the chair, possibly blood on the bathroom door, I was disgusted. As we walked around the tile floor barefoot we noticed that our feet were so dirty from the floors. I wondered why they don't steam clean the floors??? So gross. The shower wasn't the cleanest either, lots of mildew around the corners and the faucet too. And random hairs The hallway seemed nice and tidy, the lobby as well. We went downstairs for lunch - and you have to order your food at the bar for the bartenders to bring it to you. Oh and there's no room service. (?!) The tables outside could use some good wiping down. The food was very bland. For 80$ for 3 people (one of which was a salad and no booze) I was not stoked on the food at all. We didn't eat there the rest of the stay. Found some good local places. We prefer not having our room cleaned daily and leave the do not disturb sign out. They seemed to respect that. No early knocks for 'housekeeping'. But again the room was dirty - we found a solo sock under the bench - which means they don't really clean, just kind of go around stuff. I will say the staff were all very kind. Helpful as far as things to do. So two stars for them, but the place needs retraining for the upkeep of the rooms, maybe a fresh coat of paint in the rooms...? Idk - not worth the money to me. Not the best amenities. The pool was ok, beautiful view. They do charge $50 a day if you want two chairs and an umbrella on the sand. Which I thought was lame. Already paying so much!! They should come with the stay....all in all - we won't be returning to this place. Wish I'd done deeper research ... thanks anyways.

Yelp
We liked it here! Never stayed at a Margaritaville before but we really liked Pensacola! Right in the heart of town so close to all the good restaurants. And I'm pretty sure it had the best beach of all the other spots! Beautiful from our room and amazing to walk!

Ali M.

Yelp
Stay away from this place. The staff will smile at you and lie to your face. The property is nice and well situated but every corner that can be cut has been cut. Forget about rooms being cleaned. Forget about room keys working. Forget about the water being on reliably and not cutting out mid shower. Forget about toilets flushing. Forget about towels being available at the pool. This place feels like it's taking its last breaths. Stayed here for three nights July '24. Had to ask 12 times just to get the room made up once. Every time, it was "so sorry, someone will be up right away". At 9pm on out last night we couldn't bear it any more, didn't have necessities to shower, and needed a clean room to sleep in, so we went to the front desk and said we'll wait until the room is cleaned. 75 minutes later, we get a room that's been "made" but the shower was still dirty. Housekeeping is ridiculously understaffed. This place calls itself a resort but operates like a shady roadside outfit.

Yelp
This hotel is prime location! The staff are amazing and so sweet, unfortunately we were there the storms were horrible & we couldn't use the beach. It's def pricey but I think it's the nicest hotel on the strip. I highly recommend it and the hotel staff are beyond accommodating!!

Yelp
We stayed here for a quick weekend trip. The hotel was very clean and spacious. We weren't able to enjoy the pool since it was too cold but it did look like it would've been nice! There is access to the beach right from the hotel so we were glad to walk right into the beach. We loved that we could order margaritas and take them up to our room to enjoy. The breakfast at the hotel restaurant was a bit pricey and didn't live up to our expectations but the conscience was nice. Overall we had a really nice stay without any issues!

Steve L.

Yelp
I highly recommend going elsewhere. Very over-priced for what you get in return. Employees are not happy. When we stayed here for 3 days...we went to Frank & Lola's Cafe to eat. 3 times I heard the staff tell visitors they could not eat at Frank & Lola's unless they were STAYING at the hotel. The place had MANY empty seats. The management has blinders on and thinks much too highly of themselves. In my younger days I stayed at Best Westerns that were more welcoming and energetic than this place. Seriously, go find a room near downtown. (ie; Holiday Inn Express on Main Street...a block East of Palafox). Go to the beach during the day and then return to Pensacola to take a walk on Palafox Street, for example. The dining quality AND variety are much better on the Pensacola side of the 3-Mile Bridge. All 3 lanes are now open in both directions. You can get to Pensacola Beach from downtown in typically 15 minutes. DO NOT DRIVE MORE THAN 38 MPH THROUGH GULF BREEZE. Shame on you, Margaritaville Management. I understand why you are losing the Margaritaville brand name on June 1st. "Pensacola Beach Resort"...very original...but why do you call it a "resort".

Yelp
Terrible !! Super expensive place to stay & dirty towels are left in hallways for days at a time !! Very unsanitary No hot tub, no microwave in rooms, no housekeeping, no room service , take out only at the restaurant.

Yelp
I have traveled all over the United States and parts of Canada and I can honestly say this staff here is some of the best I have ever experienced in a hotel!!! Britney at the outside tiki bar was an absolute blast making sure we were always refreshed and hydrated and always smiling and on the go! Mike Nd David at the front door, wow always happy and wanting to help! I promise you there is none better! So looking forward to returning here!!

We have stayed at Margarittaville in Pensacola for years. It was our favorite place to go. Since Covid their rates have over doubled. We were scheduled to stay last weekend and received an email that the pool was not operational. For the price I would think pool maintenance would be a priority. We were not offered a discount for the non operational pool. We will be staying one more time because our children gifted us a gift certificate that barely covers half a nights stay. I can understand an increase but over double their prior rates for half the service is disappointing. We are sad that we will no longer be visiting.

Yelp
I am a Pensacola native and have been staying at Margaritaville since the day they opened. Our family would stay here 2-3 times a year and would dine in Frank and Lola's multiple times a week. This hotel has always been very special to us. We stayed here for the first time since 2019, this week. The hotel changed many of its policies since the beginning of COVID, which is understandable, however, we chose to not come and stay during this time period seeing as we knew the experience would not be the same. My family, (my parents, myself, and my son) checked in on Tuesday of this week. My parents were the guests at the hotel and my son and I were coming to enjoy the pool & restaurant with them with the potential of staying the night if we chose to do so (we live 30 minutes away). When it came time to check in, the front desk staff let us know that my mom and dad could come into the hotel, however, my son and I were not allowed to enter the hotel seeing as we did not have our own room - even though my parents put our name on their room. My mom and dad had already paid and said that they wanted a refund seeing as they booked this trip for all of us. The front desk girl argued with them saying that she didn't believe there was potential that my son and I could actually be staying seeing as they were getting a king-sized bed - keep in mind, the hotel isn't even at 50% capacity this week. Finally, after 15 minutes of arguing, the manager gave permission for us to come in, however, we had to park across the street even though the WHOLE parking lot was pretty much completely empty. Once we entered the hotel, we decided to have lunch at Frank and Lola's - this has always been one of our favorite restaurants in Pensacola. I will spare every tiny detail, however, I will say that this whole experience was absolutely horrible. The quality of the food has hit rock bottom, it was the equivalent of cafeteria food and was inedible to be quite honest. We very kindly asked our server what happened to all of our favorite menu items (Fried Green Tomatoes, PoBoy's, Ahi Tuna Salad, Etc.) and his response was "please, please, please go leave a yelp review. The whole staff at the hotel is hurting financially because they are running this place into the ground. Please go leave a review, and help us out. They have removed all of the fresh ingredients, the owner is doing what she has to, to get by but she doesn't care what anyone says." There was nobody eating in the restaurant, people by the pool were literally Door Dashing food, my heart was breaking for the waitstaff who couldn't make a dime because nobody wanted to eat there. It was so hard to experience this seeing as we have always had such wonderful memories here. After lunch, we went up to our hotel room. These rooms have always been the NICEST on the beach, however, they have gone downhill - fast. The room no longer had the "spa" smell it used to. Our shower was filled with mold in every nook of the grout, the balcony had mold and mildew all over and needed to be pressure washed desperately, not to mention there were weeds growing everywhere (and we were on the second floor) - it was bizarre. This hotel used to be a fabulous escape, one we looked forward to at all moments. We used to spend thousands of dollars here every year and have made many milestone memories at Margaritaville. It's heartbreaking to sit and write this review because I know that Pensacola Beach truly lost something so special. I am hoping they can fix all of these issues. We will no doubt choose the Hilton or Springhill Suites moving forward. Save your money, don't come to this establishment.

Yelp
Celebrating our anniversary for the second time in this gorgeous spot on the prettiest beach on the planet. The Covid protocols did not deter from our enjoyment or keep us from already planning a return trip. Bartender Britni was a real standout. She is extremely friendly and personable, always provides above average service, and genuinely fun to talk to. We feel we've formed a friendship with her and, by the way, she makes amazing drinks! The bar menu is really well rounded and well priced and she was always forthcoming with an idea. We had a beautiful corner suite with a stunning view and days spent on the beach helped us put our mindset back in place. We love it here and can't wait to come back.

Yelp
I am sitting in the lobby writing this review of pure disappointment. I swear I feel we ate on the naughty list of this hotel where EVERYTHING is a disaster! I will make a list. 1. Food is just mediocre. My pasta dish took 30 min to prepare and I even eliminated 4 items. Why'd it take so long? 2. Breakfast doesn't have a "build your own" and they don't even have other creamer options for your coffee just plain half and half. 3. Rooms are in need of serious upgrades. They don't have a microwave, our mini fridge had to be replaced because it was broken, squeaky bed that we asked to fix that still makes noice, light bulbs that need 5-10min to warm up and my light next to my bed won't even turn on. The shower is huge but the shower head is so tiny!!! Television is a 32in tony TV, stations don't work very well. I want to have a movie night and have popcorn and I have to walk downstairs to get it popped. By the time I get to my room it's cold. 4. The pool is so windy up top that everything just blows away and not enough chairs for guests. Where are the waiters and waitresses that are supposed to serve you pool side?? Why aren't they even open around 12pm on a Monday? 5. Employees at this location just don't give a crap about guests experience. We asked multiple times for certain things and they just don't know anything. I wanted a drink in the menu that was coconut and the bartender had no idea. Hellloo??? I feel like I have to beg to get things done. 6. Given the fact this is Margaritaville and the word margarita is in their hotel you'd think you'd have an actual margarita glass!!!! I get that no glass on the pool side but get plastic margarita glasses. See the picture of their glass margarita that was just strawberry sauce, don't even have fresh fruit margaritas here. 7. Food at Pensacola is a disaster. Every place that's rated a 4/5 star is 2/3 star at best. Pure an utter disappointment. I am here for a week vacation and I am struggling to relax!!! Go to another place in Florida!!! Attached is a picture of a real margarita. .

Yelp
Best hotel on Pensacola Beach. This is our home away from home. We've visited with children and without and the stay is always the same...second to none. The views (on either side of the property) are amazing and the staff are friendly. The rooms are clean and truly let you know you're on the beach. We were married here and I couldn't have asked for a better experience!

Yelp
I was at Margaritaville Beach Hotel with my wife. We met some wonderful people at this location, both workers and guest. This location is a prime spot, walking distance to the boardwalk, local restaurants. The view is amazing from the bedroom. We faced the Gulf and it was AMAZING. The hotel also provides covered garage space for your vehicle. Has a parking lot for larger vehicles/trailers. Very friendly employees that work throughout the hotel and hotel restaurants. I highly recommend this hotel, sure feels like paradise.

Yelp
Very nice. A true beach feel through the entire inside. A spacious lobby that has a great view of the gulf as you walk up to the front desk. The line restaurant and bar are to the right in an open area , again overlooking the gulf. Rooms are very spacious and the bathrooms are fantastic. There is an awesome pool area also. A great feature is the free garage parking so the vehicle is out of the weather. The most friendly staff I have encountered yet. I will definitely be a return visitor. Loved the area and it is a remarkably beautiful beach.

Yelp
Stunning views of the bay and the gulf of Mexico from each room. The staff was nice and seemed genuinely happy that I was there. The check in process was a little slow but, Again, the staff was great. The lobby decorations are great and the room is simply stunning. I stayed in the junior executive suite with the wraparound balcony so I had a view facing the bay and a view facing the Gulf of Mexico. Due to Covid there was no room service and the hotel amenities were for guests only. I am not deducting for that. The television in my room was relatively small and was not a smart TV. The garden tub was huge and so was the walk in shower. Parking under the hotel was very easy and there is additional parking across the street. Each day I stayed, I got a list of activities slid under my door which was thoughtful and fun. Hotel has a deal with a massage therapist who is on site and does a great job. They also have a deal with a dolphin sailing company called jolly and they were great as well. The hotel also rents bicycles by the half day or the full day to help keep you busy. From the lobby you walk directly onto the beach so you really could not be any closer. Perfect for getting those sunrise and sunset shots. The restaurant had a great selection of food and as I mentioned above, there was no room service, but they accommodated that by offering to go orders which were delivered very quickly and you could take them back up to your room. The rooms were very quiet and I did not hear my fellow guests at all. Overall I greatly enjoyed my stay. If they wanted to, they could upgrade some of their electronics in the room like the television as I mentioned before, but the free Wi-Fi was very fast 24 hours a day and did not go down the entire time I stayed. So I had accessibility to Netflix easily to keep myself entertained when I was not on the beach. My only complaint really is that the bed was entirely too high. I had to step on the Ottoman to get up onto the bed. And 5 foot three in the bed came up to my belly button. It was very comfortable once I got up there though lol. Would definitely recommend.

Yelp
My friend and I were walking along the beach and she told me what an amazing place this was.... She had stayed here in the past... we walked up from the beach and made extra special care to clean our Sandy feet. We went to the bar for a "to go" Mimosa and were asked for our room number. I understand that you want to keep the hotel nice for guest....I have never been to a hotel that did not welcome patrons to the restaurant or bar. The bartender was not welcoming "we don't serve people who are not staying at the hotel." His tone was dismissive and condescending. We are professional women and my friend was regretful she had told me what a great place this was....

Yelp
What a beautiful hotel located right on the beach. It's huge, the layout is beautifully done. The decor is beach casual with a relaxing vibe. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. The front desk accommodated to any of my request and couldn't have been any better. Food on the premises isn't five star but comparable to a sit down 24 hour deli. Simple, and affordable. The room I stayed in was spacious and the balcony was the best part with ocean view. Bed is extremely comfortable. If I had to change one thing, it would be to update the bathroom. The room was very clean, just the bathroom inside the shower area had a little mold. I think it's the type of material the shower area is made from, it can easily happen. However this didn't put a damper on my trip, still very enjoyable. Will definitely be back.

Yelp
My family really looked forward to another great getaway at Margaritaville. This trip did not meet our expectations. My husband and I was very disappointed. Not satisfied with our stay. We paid $400 a night for what we felt was now a 3 star hotel. No longer considered a 4 or 5 star. The first room that we received was the 2nd floor room 215 with the obstructing sign horrible balcony facing the bay view. We decided to wait about 2-3 hours for more rooms to be cleaned on a higher floor. They gave us room 515. The only thing that was cleaned was the beds. There was spots on the walls and something on the bathroom door. The bathroom shower wasn't properly cleaned around the corners. I felt so disappointed and disgusted. The only reason we didn't leave right away is because it was later in the evening and the all Air Bnb's were booked because of memorial. My husband really had to convince me to let our boys enjoy beach as it was only two days. Sorry but I cannot recommend anymore to anyone else.

Yelp
A fun vacation locale with a The Jimmy Buffett touches. Conveniently located in beautiful Pensacola Beach. Have a Sun Pass for tolls to get into the island or the Florida Sun Pass. Park your own car: save $12 per day. Plus, the valet was very disinterested in parking our car or helping with luggage. Our room was nicely done but don't expect to be able to shave in the sink: shallow. There were 9 hooks in the bathroom & 2 beds but only one sink. No make up mirror (some Parrotheads can't see as well), & no night light. Old Parrotheads get up frequently in the night. Great towels & big bottles of bath products. Nice touch with 2 free Landshark beers & 2 bottles of water in the room. We had great service in the hotel & Tikki bar. It's a fun place to go!

Yelp
Had a great two days here in Margaritaville. Staff was attentive and the food was great. Convenient cover parking was fantastic especially when it rained. Hahah! We see our self's going back to this beautiful hotel. Also the surrounding area is a beach town with great restaurants and beautiful views.

Yelp
Fantastic customer service! From check in you could tell the team there wants you to have the best possible stay. The gift shop attendant lady, was so helpful and accommodating in helping me find items. (She's a gem and good at the upwell with out being pushy!) The front desk team saved my life with a delivery of Advil to my room after a fun night! Cleanliness was a little less that I would have loved, but in this worker shortage it's nothing I haven't seen at all other mid level hotels! Management, keep treating your employees well, it's showing in the way they care about you customers! I wish I had your team members names to give them a shout out, but I was on site November 2-4

Yelp
We liked this place no much for our four day vacation that we are already planning next year's trip. It is pricey but has a lot going for it. Its main restaurant serves breakfast, lunch and dinner, and the breakfasts and lunches were excellent. We had lunch by the pool, but I think the food came from the restaurant, it it was also very good. The bartender was also consistently excellent. It is basically the kind of place you never have to leave. With a very good pool, adjacent beach access, two good restaurants, very friendly staff, and great rooms and views. We talked to a couple who had been there five days and had not left the property. The rooms and their amenities are top notch. Superb ocean or bay views, very comfortable beds, very high quality bathroom soaps, shampoos, etc; and very soft towels and bed linens. There was ample seating around the pool. We'll be back.

Yelp
Margaritaville is a state of mind... The Margaritaville Hotel came to my rescue on my wedding day! My father had booked a room at another hotel in downtown Pensacola and they refused to let my husband and I check in because the room was booked with my father's credit card. My husband was furious so we left the hotel (in my wedding gown and my husband's suit) and we called the Margaritaville Hotel. The Margaritaville not only booked us a last minute room for our wedding night, but they also upgraded us to the honeymoon suite for no extra charge!!! Shortly after we checked into our GORGEOUS room roomservice arrived with a suprise dessert from the hotel manager. I cannot express my gratitude enough for the kindness and hospitality of the Margaritaville Hotel. I will definitely come back here for another visit. The hotel is gorgeous, the staff is wonderful and friendly and the hotel is located on one of the prettiest beaches in the world!

Yelp
Margaritaville is one of my absolute favorite places to stay. It is family friendly. My experience this past weekend was one of the best. My husband and I were greeted in the lobby with a margarita by one of the most fun and friendly staff members. It was a great way to kick off the weekend. Yesterday my daughter and I were walking around in the lobby and all of the staff that we came in contact with stopped and said hello to her. We then met a very sweet lady that was on the housekeeping staff. We chatted for a while about babies and how they are such a blessing. I seriously wanted to hug her. We stayed by the pool for most of the weekend and had Marshall as our bartender. He was amazing not only to the adults but also to my daughter. He brought her a popsicle and took the time to play and chat with her. The attention they give to there guests is so impressive. Next, we ran into Juston, he greeted us and took the time to chat with us and told us about a Full Moon Party they were hosting that night. FUN! The party did not disappoint. We all felt like we were vacationing on an exotic island somewhere. There was live music, fire dancers, fire pit, fresh coconuts for drinks, face painting for the kids and of course AMAZING staff and customer service. We will return often. Great hotel for families!

Yelp
Hotel was nice, room nice and beds were nice, we wanted to come back a week later for the evening of July 3rd because my daughter was graduating her Marine training at NAS Pensacola. However, it took so long for them to release the several hundred dollars on my credit card I couldn't get a room for the night so they ruined the surprise for my young Marine daughter. Once the several hundred dollars were released, it was too late to get a room cause they were full then said it was a 2 night minimum. very disappointed, quick to take my money but very slow to return the overcharges and deposits!!!
