The People - Tours

I want to thank the staff at The People Tours for a great four day stay. I am a solo traveler and I enjoy the safety and security that The People Hostel group offers it's guests. The staff at this location are excellent. I arrived early and was offered a secure place to lock up my luggage so I could explore the neighborhood. The staff let me know about the great specials at the restaurant and we're extremely helpful in getting me settled. The People Hostel in Tours has an excellent location that is an easy walk to and from the train station. The neighborhood is great with plenty of places to pick up food for those who use the guest kitchen. The location is great in this very walkable city so there is little need for the extra expense of the local transportation services to explore the town. The dorms are neat and tidy and have good head room. The mattresses are comfortable. The addition of of the desks and stools in the dorm rooms are handy for those who need a place to work or just put on shoes. My room included a small bathroom and a separate shower room so there was rarely a line up for either room. Everything was kept neat and tidy by the staff! Thanks for the great stay!

Nice clean hostel. Feels safe too. Small rooms but for a fair price. The beds in the dorm rooms have curtains which I like

The double rooms are very nice. However on my second day I switched rooms to a 4 bed room and the shower was dirty with hair in it. The garden is nice, but the staff didn’t allow us to sit at the jazz show without ordering a drink and the next day at the same garden I was having some fruits and the staff said I cannot eat or drink in the garden???

A bit of a shock to find my husband had unwittingly booked a Hostel, but we loved it! The rooms are cycle themed, with cycling artwork in the rooms and on the doors. It has a very unique vibe to it, in the lobby and communal areas. We were impressed with the food in the Garden restaurant and the room was comfortable and clean. It is on a main road / High street but the sound insulation was ok. We found free parking on side streets nearby. A really unique place to stay, as a one off...

I think I haven't never wrote a review like that before. After a very bad and turbulent week on the way back to UK, we had two breakdown and the second one, almost went like a tragedy. We got stranded in tour and checked around quite few hotels and even explained our situation, and in all the hotels that we knocked on from 1 to 5 star the answer was the same (sorry, checking is only 14:00 or past 14:00) bear in mind this was around 08:00 am and we have been checking for a place since 04:30 in the morning. By the time when we got hold again from the breakdown costumer service , we did reach by walk THE PEOPLE TOURS. And sorting the morning breakfast it was Marion, the lady that we explained very quickly our situation and she very quick told us we have only one room available, but yes by all means we can make available for you right now, perhaps she saw as well how tired we was and also mentioned about the breakfast if we want to have it , which we did rushed in to, soon after a quick shower, also she did help us with some translation back and forwards to our French breakdown cover. We slept all day and the following day we have been served and also helped by Gladys which also was very polite. The People Tour , in my view and experience is very clean, the room was simple but very cozy, also a very good location which easy we got to the train station on our way back home. Breakfast was OK but the most Great experience was the welcome and the simplicity of the staff specially Marion and Gladys in our reception to the People-tours. I stayed in a 4 room dorm which was actually perfect for price quality. The rooms are well equipped and only downside, but I noticed this also in the whole city, is the smell of the sewers. Luckily if you close the bathroom door the smell was not here. The hostel is very big, friendly staff and very close to the city centre.

Felt pretty corporate, and not like a hostel. The bunk bed was small and not very comfortable, furnishings cheap. The garden cannot be used for your own foods and drinks even though there was nobody out there. But it is cheap for France. The bike parking was safe and secure. And it's in a pretty good location to see the city sights.

Really cool place ,clean great staff,Mutz is an outstanding member of staff so very knowledgeable and helpful Mutz is a credit to hotel
