"Most notably, there’s the Periodic Table, an ambitious concept restaurant at Catamount Ranch golf club (10 minutes from the resort) currently channeling the cuisine of the Alps with dishes like cheese fondue and veal schnitzel."

Elegant rustic restaurant at a golf club just outside of Steamboat Springs. With a seasonal menu that changes, we enjoyed the Cowboy menu including Elk tenderloin, beef short ribs, ribeye steak, and duck breast. While meat heavy, there was one seafood option and one vegetarian option. Desserts including bread pudding and cheesecake were excellent. We had a private room for a party of eight with excellent if somewhat leisurely service. Perfect for our evening celebration. It was nice not to feel rushed.

I rarely feel compelled enough to leave a Google review however this dining experience made a lasting impression on me. I traveled to Steamboat for the first time and have been here roughly a week, eating at the supposed best spots in town. I left Periodic Table for my final dinner slot because the menu seemed innovative and the reviews were glowing. Not only was this restaurant the best dining experience in town, it was 3 levels above anything I have had in Steamboat, and one of the best dinners I’ve had this year. The staff was warm and welcoming; the evening began with some hot tea upon arrival in the rustic but elegant lodge. Our waitress was superb, walking us through the Sake options that best paired with our apps: Bao Buns with pork belly, shrimp dumplings, and hamachi crudo. Each dish was artfully plated, executed to perfection, and well balanced. The entrees continued the trend; duck two ways (seared breast and spicy duck leg) and pork belly (less fatty and more composed than any pork belly I’ve had in the past). Both of these entrees knocked my socks off. The duck was accompanied by stir fry noodles that would stand up to any high-level Asian establishment, and the pork came with soft sweet potatoes and charred bok choi. I was so dumbfounded by the culinary excellence that Chef Charlie came by to visit and hear my opinion. I told him that I have dined at many Michelin star-studded establishments that served food less refined and masterfully crafted as this establishment, all with such humility and tact. Dessert was magnificent - needless to say. If you don’t visit this gem during your trip to Steamboat, you are missing out. Cancel your other reservation and prepare to have your mind blown at Periodic Table.

What an experience! This restaurant is set at the base of the mountain on a golf course, so the views are spectacular, but the food is INCREDIBLE. So unique, fresh, interesting, and absolutely delicious (order the charred pea salad!) The service is as great as the food... the GM was present throughout our experience making sure everything was just right. They couldn't improve upon this meal if they tried. Highly recommend!

We ate here during our vacation and it was amazing!! Cam was our server and his southern twang and hospitality made us feel right at home. The food was fantastic, the drinks were yummy and the whole experience was truly so great. It’s a gorgeous spot as well, the views were so pretty!! If you and your family are visiting, Periodic Table is THE restaurant to dine at. Thanks to Cam and the rest of the gang, we’ll be back next time!!

One of our favorite restaurants in Steamboat Springs! Recommend the mushroom bao buns, hamachi crudo, any proteins on a hot plate, and miso black cod. Also note that their menu is seasonal so expect different items after early 2024

We hosted our wedding reception at Periodic Table at Catamount Ranch in June of 2022. We opted to buy-out the entire venue for our event and it was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding. The entire staff was incredibly kind, helpful, and fun. We sincerely appreciated Aurelia's (the General Manager) attention to detail and professionalism - she truly went above and beyond to make sure our night was perfect for our guests, and perfect for us. We received so many wonderful comments from our families and friends regarding the food (the chef and events coordinator worked with us to select a banquet menu). From the appetizers to the dessert, everything was delicious! We were incredibly pleased with the beauty of the location, as well. Periodic Table boasts a warm and inviting interior and a gorgeous outdoor deck, complete with views of the mountains and river. Our guests loved the atmosphere and we couldn't have asked for a more perfect venue to hold our event. I would highly, highly recommend Periodic Table for an upscale dinner or for an unforgettable event location. (Photos taken during a previous visit in May 2022)

Google
Incredible would be an understatement! This place will knock your socks off. The atmosphere is very welcoming and the staff is very well versed in their craft. The food timing was spaced perfectly and the cocktails far exceeded my expectations. If you haven't yet, give them a try and see for yourself!

We went to the Periodic Table with a party of ten. The drinks were mixed reviews. The Millie’s Mustache was good, the Pinot Noir was good, both the non- alcoholic and the alcoholic version of a Prickly Pear drink (Cactus Flower?) were just OK. They were a little bitter. All of our meals were a disappointment. The steaks - the ribeyes, tenderloins, and their steak frites - were all over cooked. They were charred on the outside so that they were dry and hard until you got to the center. They tasted like ashes/charcoal instead of like steak. The butternut squash soup was very tasty. Brussels sprouts were OK but dry. The bread and the balsamic onions that came with it were good. They even forgot to cook one of our dinners! One person at our table had to wait until our dinners were almost finished before he received his dinner. The management was nice about comping desserts for our table, but the desserts were not stellar either. The s’mores dessert had a very hard cookie and chocolate that was not melted. You could not cut into it without force. The marshmallows were just stuck around the outside with a drizzle of chocolate. Not toasted or even warm. We have been coming to Steamboat for over 40 years and have eaten at almost all of Steamboat restaurants through the years. Sorry, but we will not be returning to The Periodic Table.

Yelp
We arrived pretty late into town and this place had an open table. It was superb. We had reservations at 7 pm, but the table wasn't ready. They sat us in the bar ... we had drinks and some complementary apps. The servers were gracious and attentive. The food was really good. I wish they had wine by the glass, but took half a bottle home after we each had a single glass of good white wine.

Kathy G.

Yelp
It was so good. Food was fresh. Ambiance was on point. Service was excellent! The elk was amazing!

Jeff M.

Yelp
Our fav restaurant at Steamboat. It sits on a golf course and has breathtaking views. Their menu changes every season and this year it was Italian. Amazing cocktails, wine and food. We had pinwheel lasagna that was inspired by don Angi in NYC. Our server Frank was awesome and made the experience memorable. The chef came out as well to visit. I highly recommend this place if you're in the area. A true treat.

Yelp
Really loved the dining experience at Periodic Table. The Asian theme menu this season is really good. The miso cod was delicious as were the Bao buns for an appetizer. Service was very attentive and the ambiance is great. Will definitely be back.

Yelp
Arrived to find our "reserved" time was pushed back and no table available. Finally got seated, then waited 10 minutes for server to show up. Ordered wine and our meal at same time, thank god or we would have never gotten our meal. Wine arrived after a 15 minutes wait. Server was young, inexperienced and almost invisible. Food arrived timely, with salmon entree and bison short ribs. Salmon was good with nice assortment of vegetables. Bison was very mediocre. Short-rib had fatty parts and the flavor of the sauce was tasteless. Broccolini was undercooked and tasteless. Mashed potatoes were good. Ambiance is very poor. Conditions are loud, tables are packed together and they are either significantly understaffed or the staff is poorly trained. Not anywhere near fine dining quality of food and service. We've been here several times with various sized groups and the consensus is this is a very mediocre dining experience especially for the price.

Yelp
We came in for dinner and split 3 appetizers, foccacia and dessert. The gazpacho was a kiss of summer, just delightful. The mussels in spicy tomato sauce was sublime, perfectly cooked and amazing flavor. Finally, the octopus salad was refreshing and unique. The lemon curd dessert was a bit meh, too runny and hard to eat. Didn't know that the restaurant was at a golf club and the dining area did have a "too big", clubby feel for my taste. The setting is spectacular so if it's a good night to sit outside, do so!

Yelp
$$$$$ This was incredibly BAD! The service matched a 3 am Waffle House and the food was worse than that. It took over 30 minutes to get a drink! The waiter stuck his thumb in our soup- grabbed our chop sticks by the eating end- reached over our open sided table and almost knocked over our drinks twice. Now the food was either over salted or completely bland. The ramen was barely edible it was so salty. The salmon was so over done with absolutely no seasoning and tough. The cost was that of an elite steak house! HORRIBLE FOOD SERVICE AND OVER PRICED!

Yelp
Great evening at The Periodic table. I arrived for the Happy Hour menu and was extremely glad I did. Met at the door with a complimentary small glass of sparkling wine and shown to a comfortable seat near the fireplace. My Server Taylor was knowledgeable and efficient I had two selections from the happy hour menu, a wedge salad and a chicken and shrimp gumbo. After that, an order of the BBQ Gulf Shrimp and desert of a pear cheesecake. Drinks were the House French 75 with a B&B with desert. Had a short chat with the head chef who surprisingly was from my home town of Cincinnati. The best meal I've had in the 24 ski seasons in Steamboat Springs. I highly recommend The Periodic Table for a special meal and evening of relaxation.

Yelp
The food was interesting and great. Spencer, our server, was excellent. The ambiance was warm and cozy.

Yelp
We went last week as a party of 5 for a 7:45pm reservation. Everything table was full and the restaurant was incredibly loud. We were seated next to a table of intoxicated individuals who kept shouting. Then we were told the kitchen was backed up and that they only had two line chefs for the evening. We did not receive any food until 9pm and our entrees didn't arrive until after 10pm. The food was mediocre at best. Our waiter was very kind which was the only saving grace.

David A.

Yelp
Excellent food and service, great atmosphere and the staff were very professional and welcoming. We will be back!

Alvin W.

Yelp
Great menu and service. Best menu on its changing concept every season. apps are great.

Yelp
The Periodic Table confirmed my deepest fears of golf course restaurants. I was Invited to a pricey New Years Eve dinner with a fixed menu at this restaurant. The venue is lacking in ambience due to the stark surroundings; imagine a large room in a golf club... Our evening was nothing short of disastrous at the Periodic Table. The service was 'periodic' due to a shortage of staff. Drink orders took long to arrive and the fixed menu was very dull and bland, except for one item on the four course menu. After our party ordered our courses, the kitchen messed it up and my chicken cordon bleu never arrived with the other food. They rushed my food out, but after a couple of bites I looked at the chicken breast I was ingesting and noticed it was uncooked. The bread crumb exterior was rock hard and inside raw... Major major miss by the kitchen. The General Manager was not very apologetic and seemingly unconcerned and I had to demand a refund of the booze on the bill. Some of our party got sick later that night, amazingly I didn't. So to sum it up... This may top of the list of the worst restaurants I've ever been to. Stay well away!

Yelp
Simply my favorite restaurant in all of Steamboat. Every season they change their theme, restaurant, uniforms, etc but keep the restaurant itself the same. This means that you may miss one of your favorite meals after it's gone, but it's so exciting to see what they do next. The food is always amazing with a cocktail list to match. This summer was my favorite so far which was Cinque Terre/European Riveria inspired provisions. You have until September 26th to enjoy this theme before it shuts down for the off season and reopens with a new theme this winter on December 15th.

Tara B.

Yelp
Be prepared to eat after a long day of skiing. The food is heavy. We ordered the fondue for two to start with our party of four and we're pleasantly surprised with fresh veggies and an assortment of other options. Elk pasta was delicious. Big miss was the pretzel soup...VERY pasty in texture. Servers were attentive maybe a little bit rushed to remove and bring new dishes but if you're looking for a hearty seasonal menu this place was fun.

Jon W.

Yelp
Outstanding incredible cocktails, fabulous food, great service, and a beautiful setting. Each of our drinks was unique with great flavors. The appetizers and oysters were amazing. Each our entrees had unique twists, great presentation, and several layers of amazing flavors from the first bite till the last. Don't miss Periodic Table. Easily one of the top 3 restaurants in Steamboat

Aurora P.

Yelp
Wow! So disappointed. I never write bad reviews, only good one's, but I feel so strongly about this. I based my decision to eat here based on the reviews. I now wonder who wrote the reviews to rate 5 stars??? Really? I'll make this short . . . White wine not chilled, porter house steak was NOT porter house steak. Steak curled at edges and was thin & more fat than meat, and everyone of the servers served us??? We dine out a lot, but this place has missed the boat. High end golf course, but restaurant needs help.

Alice P.

Yelp
Great service! Drinks just OK. Fondue was a bit under-portioned and thin. Other than that, food was good.

Alex K.

Yelp
This spot was an absolute treat amidst covid. My husband and I sat out on the patio, with beautiful views. The service was impeccable & our dinner was a complete experience. We can't wait to treat ourselves again at Period Table next time we are in town. Highly recommend for a date night experience.

Beth L.

Yelp
We visited on New Year's eve, so perhaps the menu was unusual for them, but sadly, it just wasn't very good:-( Though the portions were big, much of the food was cold, over cooked, and just not very tasty. Service was just OK and decor/ambiance is on par with a golf course club house, nothing special at all. The price was just ridiculous for what was offered.

Kelly B.

Yelp
We had a wonderful dinner last night at Periodic Table out on the deck. We really enjoyed the pimento cheese spread app & the crudo (last night was salmon). The clam chowder was delicious, the tomato salad was good (the Roquefort dressing is amazing), & our friend enjoyed the spinach salad. Our friends also enjoyed their scallop entree & duck entree. I wasn't sure I was going to like this season's "theme", but it's a winner!!! And of course the beautiful view from the deck is always a plus. Well done!

Jon B.

Yelp
Came here for my 35th birthday. Had read raving reviews. Maybe the expectation / bar was too high in my head. Food was excellent, service and ambiance were mediocre (Think one step up from office furniture in a golf course clubhouse). Not sure it's worth the extra effort for the price! Compliments to the chef, however.

Morgan S.

Yelp
Fantastic cocktails, food, and service. The entire experience was outstanding. We sat on the deck for happy hour with a beautiful view. Highly recommend

Alvin W.

Yelp
Great cocktails. Imaginative menu. Excellent service. Menu changes periodically hence the name.

Jennifer H.

Yelp
Delicious! Food was outstanding, loved being able to try some Italian beers that would be hard to find in most (all?) liquor stores. Desert was outstanding. Can't wait to come back!

Vivianne P.

Yelp
The Cuban menu is very disappointing. The food is not authentic (having been to Cuba 5 times). They don't have Cuban rum or beer, The food was disappointing, and I agree with the review my Mariela below. This is not on my list of top 20 restaurants in Steamboat

Grace M.

Yelp
We had a very special night for two cooks that live in Steamboat; we're always curious about what our competition is and we loved it!! Our waitress named Ruby was very nice, helpful, and gave us amazing advise about navigating the menu. Best short rib I've ever had in my life!!! It was a very peaceful evening and we even got to see a black bear roam across the lawn. 10/10 would recommend. p.s. the after-dinner Cigar is a must. have. !!!

Chandler F.

Yelp
Delicious new restaurant at Catamount Ranch! The experience from start to finish was delightful and well worth driving out of town for. The happy hour is right on point and the views are spectacular. I highly recommend The Periodic Table!

Steven B.

Yelp
The food, staff and atmosphere is great and it's a really nice change from going into town for dinner!

Katie L.

Yelp
Phenomenal dining experience!!! Very unique dishes but surprisingly happy hour menus are still reasonably priced. I don't ever recall looking up the name of the chef while I'm still eating but this weekend I had too. The best experience during my vacay in Steamboat. I wish he opened another location in Denver!! Hands down the best restaurant in Steamboat. I wish I could give 6 stars.

Mariela G.

Yelp
The only think Cuban about this restaurant is the name of the food. They prefer to give and American spin to traditional Cuban plates by loading their flavors with pepper and too much heat never used in traditional Cuban food. As a Cuban American, I was disappointed with every plate I tried. They even managed to make fried plantains feel heavy, oily and tasteless. The exception on the menu was the "Cúbitos de Lechon" which mean pork cubes, but they presented it as shredded pork, if you insiste on trying their taken on Cuban cuisine, it's a must. The ambience is very pleasant and they are set ting guest inside and outside during COVID, masks required around space except while seated.
