The Phoenix Resort

We chose Phoenix and San Pedro to take a break from the mega-resort experiences available to families in Turks and Caicos, Nassau, and Cancun. Phoenix's location and size really appealed to us, so we decided to give it a try.||Right from booking, the Phoenix was a great experience. The staff offers a warm and personal touch, helping me choose and book my air connections, local dinner reservations, and excursions in the area. The room itself was large, well-appointed, and spotlessly clean. We had a 2BR suite, which was more than enough space for two adults and two teens. The laundry in the room was a very nice touch as well, we could have packed a lot less if we planned ahead.||The resort is located on the water in a great part of San Pedro. We walked or carted all over the area from here, and it was a perfect home base. The views from the resort are lovely, and the pools were clean, fun, and quiet.||Each afternoon the resort had some kind of activity on offer, so we had a chance to make s'mores and learn about chocolate. We also enjoyed a free happy hour with other resort guests every evening before dinner. We also took advantage of the included kayaking and paddle boarding. This is coordinated through a neighboring shop and worked out well.||Although this resort is beautiful, the thing that separates it from other places I have stayed is the service. Candice, Jorge, and the rest of the staff are so helpful, friendly, and accommodating. If I return to San Pedro I will absolutely go back to Phoenix.

Great resort with great service. The entire staff was amazing. Everyone was really friendly and offered great recommendations. We didn’t have to worry about any details after letting them know what excursions we wanted to do and where we wanted to eat. They even checked in on us midday while we were out on a full day excursion. Location is convenient. Property is well maintained. Perfect for families.

Everything at Phoenix resort was perfect!!! Our family of 3 stayed in a spacious 2 bedroom apartment (apartment number A8), fully equipped with everything that we needed. The balcony was huge, with a beautiful view of the pools and the ocean beyond. All the thoughtful touches really made a big difference for us, including the complimentary bath robes and slippers, the Keurig coffee pods and assorted tea bags, all the cards around the apartment with instructions explaining how to operate various items like TVs and coffee makers, towels to take on day trips, etc... Beds were super comfy with really nice sheets and selection of five different pillow types, which was a big deal for me because I always have trouble finding a nice pillow to sleep with when I'm traveling. And we can't forget to mention the incredible staff. Everyone was so helpful and friendly. Shout out to Jorge, Candice, Tatiana, Danny, and the rest of the Phoenix team, you all made our stay really special!!!

I've been staying at The Phoenix for many years, and I can't say enough good things about them. Staff is incredibly helpful, rooms are top notch, and the pool/amenities are beautiful. They are so responsive regarding anything you need, booking an excursion, dinner reservations, etc. Location is perfect as well, right in the middle of everything, but once you're inside the gates, it's quiet and peaceful.....paradise. We will never stay anyplace else, already planning our next trip!!

We had the best time staying at Phoenix resort! Actually for me it was the second time staying here! The service was amazing and everyone was friendly and welcoming! Special thanks to Tatiana, Candice, Pam, Marisaul and Dani at the front desk Rolando and Ricky at the pool and of course the cleaning stuff that made sure that our apartment was always flawless!! Can’t recommend this place enough!!

Trip of a lifetime with my family to this gorgeous and clean resort. The best part was the staff! They are beyond friendly and accommodating and genuinely care about their guests. The attention to detail was top-notch. Do not look anywhere else. Not to mention, it's perfectly placed in San Pedro to walk to everything.

Stayed here at the very end of 2025, and highly recommend it. The staff are very helpful & kind; they went above and beyond every time I need help arranging something. The condo units are great, with laundry, kitchens, and so forth. I only wish there was a hot tub near the pools, but other than that it was perfect.

Don’t let the 3-star hotel designation deter you from staying here. The place is 5-star hospitality. We booked a 2 bedroom suite. It was super spacious and well appointed with all the basics in the kitchen (including a stocked Kuerig), large TVs in every room, washer/dryer, and huge balcony. This is a suite only resort with only 27 units that we could see so it’s very calm. They have so many amenities included that we could not possibly take advantage of them all (onsite restaurant, bar with free happy hour drinks daily, daily free activities (we did the wine tasting and s’mores making), transportation to/from airport, etc). Twice daily maid service. Check in we were treated to a quick tour around the property, explanation of everything, and presented a small bottle of rum and snacks for arrival. We came for scuba diving, and our dive center was literally steps down the beach from the resort. Perfect location. The pool was nice and everyone at the resort was so incredibly friendly and helpful. Our son had an allergic reaction at a restaurant, and they walked us right over to the ER, waited for us to make sure everything was OK, and then continued to check up on us the next day. So incredibly thoughtful. Their concierge was super helpful getting any arrangements made that we wanted. They called any restaurant we needed to check in on and also made reservations. When we looked up best dessert on the island, turns out the hotel restaurant has the best dessert. Everything useful was within walking distance of the hotel. We were just two blocks away from an excellent coffe shop (Green Espresso Coffe Bar) which we visited every single morning.
