The Phoenix Resort

We have stayed at The Phoenix on three occasions now and keep coming back! The staff is super friendly and helpful. The location is great and within walking distance of all the attractions of San Pedro. Our condo is perfect, spacious, clean and has everything we need for our home away. The balcony at our condo is the perfect place to end the night listening to the waves and enjoying the ocean breeze. Their facilities are always clean and comfortable. The free happy hour is always a great way to transition from your day on the water to evening on the town. We highly recommend the Phoenix.

This is our 4th time at the Phoenix and it always feels like coming home. The service is always impeccable, from everyone at the front desk to the guys at the pool, we have everything we need for the best stay they really do go above and beyond to make sure you enjoy your time there. ||Need to book excursions? Forgot sunscreen? Need recommendations and reservations? Need to order a special occasion cake? The phoenix got you. Every room has a welcome drink set with rum coke and seltzer and lime. Don’t forget the coconut lemon bars in the fridge! They also have a happy hour every day with free drinks for guests in their newly opened terrace bar. They really have thought of everything. ||We are looking forward to returning next year and seeing the friendly faces of Pamela, Tatiana, Danny, Candice, Marisol, Jorge, and Tanya at the front desk and Rolando and Ricky at the pool. As well as all the other service staff we don’t usually see face to face.

The room was fabulous. It had ocean and pool views and was super spacious. The beds were very comfortable and the entire room very clean. We enjoyed having use of a kitchen and laundry facilities which added to our convenience. The location was very centrally located. An easy walk to the town and everything that it offered as well as right on the beach with an easy walk to the boats doing the snorkeling etc excursions. We really enjoyed having the Palapa bar/restaurant on the water just a 5 min walk away. Every day the hotel has a happy hour that includes select drinks that are completely free. This was a nice touch after our days exploring/snorkeling/relaxing.

The Phoenix resort is a magnificent little gem nestled in busy San Pedro. The grounds are well kept, the suites immaculate, and the ocean view is gorgeous. The entire staff, from the Front Desk, to the pool bar tenders, Red Ginger restaurant staff, and housekeeping… ALL HAVE EXCEPTIONAL CUSTOMER SERVICE. They are attentive, responsive, proactive, and always have a smile. For us, the Phoenix was a highlight of our San Pedro vacation. We’d recommend them to anyone considering visiting.

We went 5-22-25 to 5-29-25, 2 bedroom on the second floor. Even before arriving there, they were in contact with us via email to make sure fights were coordinated with arrival pickup. Arriving at the resort we were greeted by the wonderful ladies at the front desk, a drink and cool towel. We were escorted to our room and given a tour of the beautiful accommodations. | Our daughter just graduated from college and they decorated the bed with flowers and long leaves spelling congratulations Anna and an outline of a graduation cap--so cool! Inside the fridge was a slice of key lime pie with congratulations spelled out in caramel. Our master bathroom and bed also had fresh flowers placed about. We stepped out onto the outside patio and was blown away by the enormous size. Easy to say we were really impressed from the get go and they didn't disappoint all week. Bartender Ricky at the pool was quick to place a towel and umbrella for you along with drinks, always had a smile and fun to talk to. | Pool, grounds, and room were spotless and even though we had a privacy tag hanging on our door most of the time, they inquired to make sure everything was ok and if we needed anything. Also loved the proximity to downtown, easy walk to everything even though we rented a golfcart through them for the week. | This was our 5th trip to Ambergris Cay and our daughters second. We've stayed at Victoria House twice, Sunbreeze Suites, Coco Beach Resort, and now Phoenix. They are all great, but Phoenix and Victoria House really go above and beyond. We will definitely be back to this wonderful place and awesome staff, thanks Phoenix!

This was a remarkable hotel in a remarkablly beautiful place. Service, location, room were all great. Belize is certainly a tourist friendly place and when I changed my flight from Belize city to SP to an earlier flight the Tropic Air rep coordinated with The Phoenix to have my transfer from the small SP airport to the hotel available. It was seamless. The property of the Phoenix itself is one of the best on SP. great pools (which is relatively rare) and the rooms were great with really nice personal touches. Our two bedroom suite— really a condo- was first rate with nice kitchen, utensils, bathrooms, and comfortable beds. All you need. You will not be disappointed.

The Phoenix resort is our favorite resort in San Pedro! This is our third time staying here and we always feel remembered and welcomed. The team at the Phoenix provides white glove service and makes us feel special. They have all been with the Phoenix a long time so there is consistency in the 5 star experience and we know the team by name. It’s a beautiful boutique hotel experience with amazing food at Red Ginger, gorgeous rooms with breathtaking views and a fabulous pool!

We had a wonderful stay in an ocean view/beachfront suite! From the very first interaction, the staff was incredible and helpful. We mainly interacted with Tatiana, Marisol, and Tatiana. From the beginning to our check out, they made themselves available with the highest quality of service and the best attitudes. They were always smiling and asking if we needed anything. The grounds and suite were super clean and there was every amenity you could ask for in our suite including, utensils, cups, plates, washer/dryer, a bluetooth portable speaker and great bath products. This was a true vacation and we felt absolutely relaxed but at home.
