The Pie Hole

I’ve visited the Pie Hole for pie before, but today I took lunch from there to a friend. The Turkey sandwich and the avocado sprout sandwich were great. The minestrone and loaded potato soup were hot and home made. Of course, we had pie for dessert. Blueberry sour cream! And I bought a chocolate cream pie for dinner tonight! The pies are fresh made and absolutely delicious. So much easier than making them myself and far better than I could ever do. Definitely recommend for lunch.

Our first time here and it was amazing! The cashier was so sweet! The French dip was the best I have ever had and my little girl was in love with her grilled cheese. Definitely would recommend stopping by here!

We were looking for a dessert after our dinner and we decided to try this pie place. It was close to 5pm, an hour to close. Most of the pies to get a slice from were sold out. They were so kind to let us have a slice out of whole pies they had displayed to sell. My lemon sour cream pie was perfect. It wasn’t over kill with a sour lemon taste. One of the best I’ve tasted. My husband had the French apple and it was average.

So delicious!!! Went an hour before close and the lady was so nice to sell me two slices for my daughter and I (we are 12 hours from home and a whole pie would waist). Best apple pie ive ever had. I will be back next trip to Nebraska

It was my first time, I was visiting from out of town and stopped in on Baked Potato Day! It was all so delicious, and I had to take a pie or two home for my family. Will definitely add it to my stops when passing through.

This is a surprisingly great place to stop for a bite to eat! I don’t usually go into Evanston, but this little place was well worth it. I bought a piece of their Lemon Sour Cream pie(it was delightful) and a small pecan tart for a gift. If you are traveling and want more than truck stop garbage, this is a great place for something fresh!

My friend and I decided to take a road trip on a Friday and just take a break from our busy lives in Utah. We discovered The Pie Hole by accident, and we were so excited to try several items on the menu! We ordered sandwiches and soup and pies to go. The Minestrone was packed with flavor and super hearty. I love that the vegetables were thick, which made each bite an explosion of flavors. Paired with my soup, I ordered a Turkey, tomato, cucumber, and avocado with sprouts sandwich. The bread was very fresh, and the sandwich was HUGE and delicious. I'm super picky when it comes to bread, particularly because I own a Bakery myself and specialize in Artisan bakes, Sourdough, and pastry. The Pie Hole did NOT disappoint. Service was excellent, and Tim, the owner, was very attentive to our experience. We were able to sit and enjoy a nice carefree lunch, which is exactly what we needed. On our way out, we ordered a couple of pies. Tim threw in a couple of forks so we could eat our pies on the way home. The sourcream blueberry pie was perfectly tangy and sweet. A fantastic combination of flavors! We also ordered a cherry pie, and the cherries were some of the best cherries I've had in a while. Crust was amazingly flakey and moist! They absolutely know what they're doing, and we left happy. Thank you Tim & Mrs. Tim for providing such a lovely meal and experience. We could tell right out of the gate that you put a lot of love and effort into providing delicious food and a warm atmosphere for your customers. We fully recommend the Pie Hole and hope to return soon!

I started visiting The Pie Hole last year for their salads. Once I found out they have gluten free options it is not my favorite place for lunch. If you are wanting homemade soups, sandwiches, salads and pies this is the place!! The gentlemen at work love their homemade pot pies! The bonus for me is if I give them notice they will make me GF pies. Great family owned mom and pop company….honestly love everyone there!

We picked up a berry pie and we're so glad that we did! Just visiting the area and couldn't resist seeing Pie Hole! The pie was delicious and a generous size! Sweet and little tart berry flavor and nice crust. Excellent pie & wish we could've tried them all. Friendly service and small cozy atmosphere.

So happy we stopped here on our way home from Bear Lake! We picked out their last blueberry sour cream, a lemon sour cream and a strawberry rhubarb. Shared them at our family dinner and got rave reviews from the crowd. Looking forward to coming back in the future, and sending other friends their way. The couple and daughter that runs the shop were very sweet to my family. We went to a park nearby to stretch our legs, but they have a cute front part to the shop with tables if you want to dine in.

It's worth a stopover in Evanston just to go to the Pie Hole. It's a wonderful family run little eatery. The sandwiches were made with care. The place was just the kind of shop one hoped to find in such a charming little town.

Evanston, WY has an amazing downtown! The Pie Hole was an amazing stop and was cool and welcoming on a really hot day. All the pies looked great and made choosing difficult. I went with the raspberry cream pie which was fantastic.

Truly delicious pies. Stopped in on our way home from the Bear Lake area. We purchased a berry, chocolate and raspberry cream. Took them home and have been enjoying every bite. The cute couple that owns and runs this pie shop were so kind to my family. I would definitely recommend for anyone coming to or from Bear Lake to get a pie!!!

So much yum is such a little space. We had the chicken and turkey pot pies. Both were delicious. If I was a local I would be back.

We were traveling through Evanston on our way west & we wanted some lunch. We stumbled upon The Pie Hole on Main Street in the historic downtown district (not far from the highway. What a gem! The turkey pot pie was delicious & rarely have I had a New England clam chowder as good as I had today! But the real treat was the best piece of strawberry rhubarb pie I have ever eaten. A homey atmosphere with friendly personnel. Everything was delicious!!!

Cute lil ma & pa shop. Prices are beyond fair. The service is very quick and friendly and the food is absolutely delicious! Best stop in Evanston! Buy local!

I bought several mini pies. All savory pies (chicken, Turkey, beef) were good, not great. They were all pretty mellow, like some very mild comfort food. Good,but not super flavorful, slightly bland, I had to add quite a bit of salt and pepper. For the dessert pie, German chocolate, it was delightful! I cannot say any improvements are needed. I did wish that they had more mini pies for their other flavors. Or I guess if they offered pies by the slice. They said they make all the pie crusts with lard which were very good! I will be back for sure'. I do have to agree with one other reviewer, their operating hours are iffy. I went at the end of June and there was a sign on the door saying they were closed until July 10th or something like that. So I removed one star for not necessarily being reliable.

Food was delicious and pie is phenomenal the chocolate rasberry tastes delicious and would definitely get again next time im in wyoming

Oh my goodness. Besides my grandma's, that was the best apple pie I have ever eaten.

Ordered pot pies for dinner, I generally don't care for pot pies although the ones I got were amazing.

They need to decide if they are going to be a dependable business for Evanston or not. They have the best pies, sandwiches, and they are always nice. However, I was at their business at 5:15 on 10/15/2022 and they were closed. Now it is Monday at noon and once again they are closed. Both days and times were within their posted business hours. This is the last time I will be patronizing their business. Delicious pies or not. Not worth it.

We stopped in for a treat and got the German chocolate cream pie... it was SO DELICIOUS. Everyone was so kind and helpful, we loved it! We will definitely be stopping again!
