The Pier Hotel

My girlfriend and I decided to have dinner at the Pier Hotel, staff were very friendly and welcoming, service was also reasonably quick too. I had the chicken Gamberi, the chicken was moist and very tasty and the prawns were delicious, as was the rest of the meal. We would definitely eat here again. They have a large selection of food including wood fired pizzas which also looked very nice. Also the bar has a good selection of tap beers and a friendly atmosphere.

We had bland Ceasar salads, with minimal toppings and old lettuce. Burgers and steak sandwiches were cold and fries were too.. which was spilt on the floor. another steak sandwich was spilt on someone, which is okay, accidents happen but we asked for free compensation with a drink and the waittress was extremely rude and belittling. My friends jumper and jeans are now stained with oil and they can’t even offer a free drink. We asked for the free drink and she straight out said no without even asking her manager, and acted like it was a ridiculous request. On top of all this, the food is extremely overpriced and very underwhelming. Don’t recommend.

Sunday night was very quite. It was week two of Sept. The place is a fine big bar and staff are quick to serve. Had pizza and chips. They were ok. Nothing to rate as excellent. Pizza special was 22aud and chips were 12aud. Had a beer 12aud. Overall, it was ok. Ive had better.

Popped in for dinner after a long day of travelling and because it was open late. The greeting we got was welcoming and the service, along with the food was sooo good, for a pub as such, the food was tasty … thanks guys

Went to dinner here three times in 10 days and the food was beautiful, tasty , good portion size and great service. We had the steak, cooked to perfection. Chicken , pasta all tasty and well cooked. Recommend to book as they can get busy.

Had an amazing meal My pork ribs and onion rings were to die for ! Parmys were delicious and so were the oysters. 🦪 Good that they had some outdoor music, lovely view across the water. They got the fish and chips order wrong and gave us a fish burger, but we’re happy to change it out - so very happy with the outcome. Good work guys, loved it! 😊

Great food and service, busy restaurant. Pork Scallopini and Chicken Alfredo pasta

Updating my review from a year ago: I still recommend this place however the quality of the food is ever so slightly reduced and the pasta was slightly under cooked. I still give them the five star. One of the top two spots in Esperance for lunch or dinner, this restaurant stands out among the local dining scene, as many others aren't worth mentioning. The variety on the menu, both for lunch and dinner, is impressive, and the food itself is excellent. The fish of the day and the burgers are especially delicious and my personal favorites. The bar is also a highlight, offering a great selection of beers with special offers, plus fun events happening almost every day. It's a fantastic choice if you're looking for quality food and a lively atmosphere.

Polite and professional staff, but the music was definitely not restaurant material. Ordered garlic bread and garlic prawns. Garlic must be expensive in Esperance because I feel like they might've waved the bulb in front of the food, and that's it. Otherwise, the food was ok.

Great location overlooking the beach front. Staff were friendly and helpful. Food was basic, but tasty enough. Bistro is a bit confusing it's right next to the bar but looks like a different food selection and the salad bar didn't make sense to me. Overall it was a good meal for our first pub stop in sunny (rainy as all hell) Esperance.
