A small group of us decided to try out Pier hotel for dinner. Place has plenty of seats and place can be lively (has a TAB in the back section). Menu items are simple, traditional, everyday pub food, including some options for kids under 12. Would have liked to see more options as I was struggling to find something I wanted to eat. In the end I went with the steak sandwich which was ok, tasty, juicy and balance of the caramelised onions and truffle aioli made this steak sandwich better than average, Only issue I had was that the steak was too chewy so this made it challenging at times to chew. Service was prompt if you wanted to grab a beer and there was a good choice in tap beer.

One of the top two spots in Esperance for lunch or dinner, this restaurant stands out among the local dining scene, as many others aren't worth mentioning. The variety on the menu, both for lunch and dinner, is impressive, and the food itself is excellent. The fish of the day and the burgers are especially delicious and my personal favorites. The bar is also a highlight, offering a great selection of beers with special offers, plus fun events happening almost every day. It's a fantastic choice if you're looking for quality food and a lively atmosphere.

Had low expectations but was very pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food. We had the pumpkin salad and ravioli. Really delicious and generously sized. Not cheap but quality food.

One of the best steaks I’ve had! It was the special of the day with truffle mash and I will dream about it in the future. $38 and very decently prices for wine bottles.

Lovely staff, very friendly despite it being the peak season over New Year. Best chicken wings ever!! Highly recommend. Lots of gluten free options and delicious garlic prawns. The food was excellent and reasonably priced. Had a nice local pub atmosphere with different seating areas, and screens/outdoor dining too. Definitely worth a visit when in Esperance!

We ordered the salt and pepper squid, which was very nice and the Texas board, the potato was nice but the pork belly was overcooked and lamb was a little tough in parts but had a nice flavor. The highlight though was the Dessert, which was the Baileys Brulee and Sticky date pudding, which was very very good. Service was great and its a nice pub atmosphere where you can dress casually after a long day driving it was a nice spot with a good view from the front.

My humble advice would be a polite yarn to chicken suppliers. If this one wasn't chucked in the fryer, - it would be flying!

Yelp
Polite and professional staff, but the music was definitely not restaurant material. Ordered garlic bread and garlic prawns. Garlic must be expensive in Esperance because I feel like they might've waved the bulb in front of the food, and that's it. Otherwise, the food was ok.

Yelp
Great location overlooking the beach front. Staff were friendly and helpful. Food was basic, but tasty enough. Bistro is a bit confusing it's right next to the bar but looks like a different food selection and the salad bar didn't make sense to me. Overall it was a good meal for our first pub stop in sunny (rainy as all hell) Esperance.
