"The Piggery, Downtown Ithaca. This is the place to go if you're a paleo diet fan. Actually, this is the place to go if you are a proponent of supporting local businesses. Really, this is the place to go if you like to eat MEAT. Boasting as Ithaca's only farm-to-table butcher, the Piggery offers meat and charcuterie from both their Trumansburg farm and area partnering farms. The sausages and sliders are terrific, and the salami is great for picnics. You can pick up dairy items, condiments, and freshly baked bread for a ploughman's lunch to take to any of the area parks. We once purchased a container of bacon jam there, which is honestly one of the best things I've ever eaten."

Great choice for fathers day meat supply. Had a great selections and knowledgeable staff, they gave great advice on beautiful cut of meat I've never brought before. Hanger steak! Yumm amazing. Beware only one per side of beef so wait in line for this cut. Also purchased savory chop and bacon. Will definitely recommend and return

The Piggery is an old fashioned butcher shop in modern times. All the meat is from local farms and the cured meats are done using celery salt. The cuts are outstanding, and the meat is delicious. The shop is truly outstanding, the good folks who work there are craftsmen, (and women). They are very proud of the quality of products that they have and produce. This is my favorite place to shop for meat products. The chicken and fowl products are very good as well.

I love this place! The meat is really delicious. I only buy meat from here. The prices are very reasonable considering everything is local and pasture-raised. The butchers are knowledgeable and friendly, and it's just cool to get to know your butcher. It has kind of a old school vibe, but in a hip way. Definitely check it out!

This is the best place I've been in for pork. That is an understatement for how great it really is. Their pork chops are worth an hour trip drive. The bacon is incomparable to any other bacon. It's real and their pigs are actually fed a diet, not garbage.

I went to Piggery for a fresh Christmas ham. They didn't have one, but carved one for me while I waited. What a wonderful place! Like the butcher shop in my childhood neighborhood, a place full of fine food and community. In addition to the usual meats, there was a surprising collection of prepared edibles, veggies and dairy, and soaps and such things.

Hight quality local meat and knowledgeable staff. I'm sad the restaurant is not there anymore, but it can be hard to keep that kind of business open in a town full of locally sourced restaurants. I'm glad that the butcher shop is still here. It is very convenient to the Ithaca farmers market so it is easy to stop in if you are already in the area for that.

I happily shop at The Piggery for my meat needs because the butchers are attentive, informative, helpful and handsome. Their steak, sausage and cured meats are always fresh, seasoned well and reasonably priced. Their pre-made pot pies are savory and total comfort food on a night you may not want to cook a full meal! Will come again and be spreading the word about this gem. Thank you for making me feel better about spending a tad more money on quality and supporting local, small business!
