The Pigskin Bar and Grille

Unexpected trip... needed a late dinner. College kid recommended... and recommended the Brew Burger. It was delicious. Fries were also great Good prices... friendly staff. Sorry, picture was taken after I finished. 😂

Had a great lunch at the Pigskin! Truly wouldn’t expect such good, fresh food at a college bar.

Despite living in Athens for years, this is the first time I've eaten here. I tend to avoid bars, because...well...they don't have the best reputation for regarding food. They have a limited menu, and that can be a blessing. I'd rather a place develop and focus on some strengths than try to cater to everyone and fail. I was pleasantly surprised by the burger. Try the Goat. It was really good and something I will be looking forward to having again in the future, that is if I don't end up trying the wings. The prices were also very reasonable. The service was good, but it also was during the summer and not very busy.

I bought my girlfriend a ticket for the valentines day event as I had to work and couldn't take the night off. They did not serve what you would expect from a sports bar. They served creativity and love through food which is what valentines day should be when it comes to your meal on a date night. My girlfriend and her studio arts friend both got the salmon and were more than satisfied as the salmon was cooked perfectly and the green sauce (I'm assuming was maybe pesto) was just absolutely stellar. The plating was beautiful well thought out and not just a mound of stacked food. And the drinks made by the bartender had interesting and pleasing flavor profiles that really did go well with the dishes. The whole night according to my girlfriend was spectacular and i will be attending it next year if they continue dholding it. Thank you pigskin!

Amazing burgers, pulled pork, wings and beer. Cocktails, shots, Oh my! Ellie was an amazing 👏 waitress/bartender, made our visit so enjoyable. We can't wait to come back on our next trip to Athens!

As for being a bar, it is really neat and clean, apart from the bathroom. The burger and wings were lacking, but dries were to die for. I hope that one day, people won't be scared to truly express their culinary prowess in Ohio. Okay, but the pigskin salad was truly a masterpiece, the reason why it got 2 stars and not just 1.

Really enjoyed our outing at the Pigskin. Excellent burger and tater tots, and I recommend asking for one of the wing sauces for dipping the tots, yum! (But I am a dipper, not everyone is). Great service and atmosphere.

Back again and I have one word to rate my experience: EXQUISITE. Grant continues to demonstrate top tier service time and time again and such a personable guy. Zander played the best music and was very attentive. Hope to be back soon.
